The synthetic flower, which was truly a weapon used in battles where plant life was plenty, had several stages. The first stage, as the flower began to glow brighter and brighter it flashed, emitting a blinding light as if the sun had been in that room for a couple of seconds.

Caused by a chemical reaction. This was done by the bud. It had 3 layers, each layer housing 3 different chemical compounds that are released when the layers are retracted by activating the trap. This causes an intense chain reaction that puts flash bangs to shame.

That was not all. As Lang and the 2 others were blinded and dazed by the light, struggling around, Lang hitting against the cave system causing rubble to fall, Syrana cursing Avrin under her breathe, with Ayame joining in both sharing a new found hatred towards him.

The second stage activated, the pipes sticking out of the body of the flower released a green gas that began to cover the cave. Square meter by square meter.

The tactic for the first two stages was, the first stage blinded and confused the enemy, while the second stage took advantage of the discord and released as much gas as possible. As the gas filled up nearly a half of the cave system.

The the final stage activated. The body of the flower began to charge up, as if a reactor, emitting static before it released an electrostatic shock coloured red.

The tactic from the second stage to the 3rd stage was, the gas used was actually a super, super conductive gas, and the bolt used was a mimicry of a lightning bolt with paralysis capabilities.

The bolt of lightning spread quickly through the gas clouds, engulfing the room with Lang roaring, bumping against the rocky walls, causing debris to fall, barely missing Syrana and Ayame.

The bolts of lightning had hit the 3 of them. Both the Sylph and Human screaming in agony before falling down onto the ground, paralysed.

Although Lang, with her lung capacity, had inhaled a large amount of the gas and seemed to take it heavier than them both. Not only was her outside shocked, but the inside as well. One could even see the lightning from outside of her. Lang gave a large high pitched roar before falling down onto the floor with a large thump.

With steam emitting from the knocked out dragon, and the limp bodies of the knocked out Ayame and Syrana, the lair was quiet. The vines connecting to Lang had seemed to shudder away. The flower trap rested there silently, as a memento of Avrin.

Avrin and Asura, who were now quite far from the swamplands, had begun to head towards the estate. Although at top speed, with their stamina, it would take less than a day.

Avrin was currently smiling, as if a burden had been removed from his shoulder. But with these actions, he knew Syrana and Ayame would most likely hunt him down. Not to mention Lang, who would probably decimate a city looking for him.

Although he couldn’t stop grinning. “Master, you have been smiling ever since you pressed that thing… Why?” Asura asked as he felt nervous to see Avrin gazing and smiling like that. Avrin replied quietly as the two bounced across the landscape like bullets.

“One day, years from today, I’ll tell you all about it.. Right now, let me enjoy this happiness quietly” Avrin indeed wanted to enjoy it silently.

Asura only shrugged as he continued on across the landscape. Several hours had passed since that incident. With the swamplands connection to Lang temporarily severed, the creatures had gone crazy as they did as they pleased.

The orcs had trouble trying to protect themselves and even had to fortify their village. The magi was jumping up and down, cursing the fact that she allowed the outsiders to go to Lang.

In the cave system, Syrana’s body twitched a bit as she struggled to get up “Nn…” She mumbled and coughed a bit, feeling like her entire body had been stabbed by pins and needles. She looked to the side to see Ayame laying there motionless.

She worryingly shook her, thinking the worst, before Ayame mumbled and opened her eyes. “M..Master..w..what happened?..” Syrana gazed with a faint smile at Ayame before putting the events together.

“Avrin…” A powerful glare adorned her face. It was now her turn for revenge. As Syrana helped Ayame up, they looked at Lang to see that she was still out cold.

“Ayame..Let’s go before Lang wakes up. I doubt she will go easy on us…” Ayame nodded as they both headed out. The vines no longer seemed to be restricting them, as if lacking energy.

Avrin and Asura had neared the estate and could see it down the mountain path they took. Avrin stopped to gaze and frowned slightly. “Probably not a good idea to go…” Avrin looked around before forming a void sphere in his hand.

Of course, Asura backed away, remembering how that attack had killed the other gorilla like creature. Avrin focused on the sphere for a moment, enlarging it to one foot in diameter and filling it up with nebula mist.

He aimed it directly at Shimaru’s home, using his augmented eye to get a better focus, and then fired off the unique sphere towards it.

“Hopefully he gets that. Asura, lets go.” Avrin spoke happily. “Master, where will we go?..” Asura curiously asked as the two began to head north. Avrin let a smirk adorn his face as they travelled.

“I heard there’s some interesting things going on in the central continent. Why don’t we go see if we can improve ourselves there.”

Avrin again smiled as he began to think. “-First, it’s best if I gather some information. Right now I have no real idea what I’m doing.

I should take it easy for a few years until my knowledge of this world is sufficient enough for me to come up with a plan-” Indeed, Avrin knew nothing about what to do. Being a god was easier said then done.

“-What’s the rush? I’ll enjoy things for a bit-”  He then gazed at Asura who had his tongue sticking out as the wind blew against his face. It looked like he was enjoying this, as if taking a pet out for a walk.

The day had gone on with much to consider. Myra had rushed over to the swamp lands, meeting up with Syrana and Ayame. Ayame began to explain what had happened, and while Myra was listening, her face seemed to give different sorts of expressions.

But in the end she had laughed “It seems Avrin not only got the best of both of you, but also Lang.” Myra chuckled. “Myra, this isn’t funny…. We know his true intentions now…” Syrana angrily spoke but Myra seemed to think otherwise.

“Hmm... Well I wouldn’t be so sure. You’re both alive afterall. From what you told me, it seems that he used an object he is familiar with, and one effective enough to even defeat Lang.

I’m sure he had the capability to kill the 3 of you with something he could create, but he didn’t. I’m sure he had no intentions of killing you. But you are right to a degree Syrana.”

Ayame sat down with Myra using healing magic against her, as Syrana was tending to herself. Myra spoke “That metal... He must have really wanted it.

To go through that much. I can’t help feel there is a hidden agenda.” Myra contemplated different reasons why Avrin would do such a thing while Syrana saw it as her going back to hating him.

“That bastard...It really hurt...I felt like my insides were burning. I don’t know if i can taste anything either..” She pouted. In the distance, a thunderous roar echoed across the swamplands, causing the birds to scurry and Syrana and Myra to quiver slightly. “W..Well I guess Lang has woken up..” she nervously laughed.

Syrana on the other hand, had a more serious approach. “Let’s leave. I doubt Lang, as dedicated as she is to these lands, would leave. At the very most, she will hold an eternal grudge against him. But I don’t think we are ever welcome here again.” She sighed before the 3 of them continued off, back towards Shimaru’s estate.

Myra, having met Syrana at the borderline between the swamplands and the mountainous plains, and Avrin who was long gone, there was Shimaru left in his dojo, gazing at a strange sphere that had broken through his roof.

It had Avrin’s doing all over it, but it just glowed there. He gazed at it for a few moments quietly before touching it.

The sphere began to condense for several minutes until it had taken shape. It had formed the secret manual for White Dragon techniques, but on top of it a was a note that didnt seem to form right, as it was torn slightly and somewhat distorted in the words of this world.

It read: “”Sorry...Time…..myself….explore…..back…..someday..” Shimaru let a sigh out as he gently placed the note down. For clan members, they were forbidden from going outside without permission. This was to preserve their ways and techniques, but Avrin.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

he knew he could never keep locked away. Avrin must have did something truly terrible for him to not even return and say goodbye. Shimaru closed his eyes for a moment before taking the manual and putting it inside the corner of his hakama.

And he then entered a Pulsing Dragon to clear his mind. 2 days had passed before Myra and Syrana had returned with Ayame. Having taken longer for her sake. The 3 of them were currently inside Shimaru’s dojo, who seemed to be at a loss.

“Ayame, you left without permission…” Shimaru spoke softly. “Forgive me grandfather…” Syrana then spoke up, as if to cover. “I hope you can forgive me Shimaru, it was not Ayame’s fault. It was I who allowed her to continue.” Shimaru sighed, rubbing his forehead. Myra then spoke.

“I think such matters are important, but something else needs to be discussed first. Avrin is missing and with him, the Sky Metal. Which seems to be important, as for him to go through all this effort for.”

Ayame spoke before Syrana did. “Why would he betray us like that….We were starting to get closer to him. All this for some stupid metal?..” Syrana patted Ayame’s head, who seemed to be near tears. Avrin was her first true love, so it had hit her the hardest.

“Dont worry Ayame, I plan on finding him myself and dragging him back for answers” Syrana aggressively spoke. “No, I don’t think there is any need to do that“ Shimaru softly spoke out. Myra instead of Syrana spoke “Shimaru, you speak as if you know something we don’t?”

Shimaru gave a faint smile as his arms lifted “Not at all. More of an assumption. Whatever Avrin must have planned, I’m sure he had a good reason. He is unknown to all of us” Both Syrana and Myra looked at each other.

When Ayame was sleeping, they had both found out that Avrin had told them about himself. They felt a bit bad considering he hadn’t told Shimaru anything, but Shimaru was somewhat right, they figured.

Avrin, who comes from another world with no ties or attachments, must have planned something for himself here. They could only hope it wasn’t evil. But considering the object he was after, Myra figured it may be something bad.

As they had finished, both the Sylphs decided to stay the night there. As they also attended dinner with Calias, who had returned without Amias. Syrana was outside on the 3rd floor of the mansion leaning against the wooden railing with a somewhat sad look.

She pictured the night she met Avrin and how she nearly killed him, which made her smile. And then how he was kept locked up, and her fight with Abbadon, which made her give an annoyed look. Then their meeting again at the estate, which made her feel uneasy.

That night, when she tried to test his abilities, only to glance at his body. This caused her to wiggle a bit and blush. From Avrin explaining his story to her, to how he pushed her out of the way from that vine which would have injured her greatly.

“Why Avrin...We were starting to get to know one another...Why is it you went as far as to include me and Ayame in there...We could have both died and you didn’t seem to care...Has the hate from those times I was aggressive kept the revenge in you hot..” Syrana, starting to blame herself a bit, heard a voice that reassured her it was fine.

“Don’t blame yourself Syrana. Avrin must have had this planned since the beginning. He most likely used you as well as this estate as a stepping stone. But that doesn’t mean he is bad. Some people will use others even if they have no intention of killing them.

That pain though, can often be worse than the usual betrayal.” It was none other than Myra who spoke to Syrana.

“I wonder what he is doing...Grr, I’d love to hit him across the head a few times” Syrana clenched her fists, waving them in anger. Across the elven lands, a nearly 6 days worth of normal travel time, Avrin and Asura were resting from their travel with no restraint. Currently eating.

Avrin gazed at Asura, who seemed to be eating the carcass of a sort of Warthog with 5 horns protruding from its head. Avrin just gazed in disgust at his so called servant. Then smiled. He might as well build relation with this creature. Considering the circumstances, he knew he was going to be with this creature for a very, very, very, long time.

“Asura, want to try a burger?” Asura blinked as his mouth was full of raw meat and blood, mumbling as he spat out some food. “Bwargur…?”

Avrin nodded. “From where I come from, it’s a sort of food everyone eats. It has a circular disk of cooked meat with sauce, pickles, and other things.”

Avrin smiled as they sat near the fire. Who would guess that this demon looking creature speaking to this monstrosity were in fact unique individuals of the strongest race. So to speak.

“Whrats ar priwkle?..” Asura spoke, mouth still full. But Avrin just chuckled softly. “It can be many things, but in this case, its a vegetable thats fermented in a special way.” Asura gave a disgusted look as he backed away from Avrin a bit and cleared his mouth, swallowing a large chunk of meat.

“Master, please don’t make me eat any thing like that…” It seems Asura was starting to speak better. His english was somewhat broken, but it seems to Avrin it needed a bit of time to sync.

Avrin grinned. “Give it a try. You will like it. If you eat too much meat, it can’t be healthy” Asura growled quietly. “I refuse!” Avrin frowned then smirked.

“Well I was going to reward you with a meat that no one has ever eaten before, but I guess that’s fine.” Asura’s ears perked up at the sound of ‘meat’ and ‘no one has ever eaten before’.

“Meat...Master, I seem to have...changed my mind. Please let me try it” Asura gave a sort of smile that seemed more like a face that was ready to tear something apart. Avrin then nodded and began to create the ingredients. Of course, he used raw ingredients. As if to make it more meaningful.

Creating a pan and placing it over the hot coals of the camp fire, he formed saltless butter and placed it in, waiting for it to melt. Asura began to drool a bit at the smell alone. Avrin then formed the meat patty, but Asura snatched the first 2 out of his hands, eating it raw. Giving a satisfied look.

As Avrin formed 2 more, he began to cook the patties on the pan, as the sizzling was something that made the stomach rumble. Asura was leaning close to the campfire.

Enough that he had forgotten he was to close and placed his hand in the embers. Surprisingly, he hadn’t noticed for at least 20 seconds, until the heat finally go through and it hurt him. He making a sort of howling sound that made Avrin laugh.

As the cooking continued, Avrin had formed the buns, the tomato sauce, as well as the pickles, giving extra to Asura’s serving. He then put it together. The burgers themselves were a bit larger than usual. He offered one to Asura, who gazed at it cautiously.

“Master...this isn’t an experiment, is it?” Avrin began to think. “Hmm, I dont think so really..” He had wondered how his food creation had progressed. The dried rations had tasted the same regardless.

As Asura picked up the burger, nearly dwarfed by his large claw engulfed hand, he placed it in his mouth. Eating the whole thing in one bite. He was quiet for a moment before giving a straight sort of poker face.

Avrin seemed worried, wondering if he liked it. He spoke before Asura did. “Don’t look at me like it’s poison. Surely it’s not that bad.” As Avrin took a bite, he blinked before smirking.

“This is pretty good...It doesn’t have the synthetic taste at all...I never really thought I would be able to get rid of it“ He spoke out with pride. Before he could take another bite, Asura pounced towards his hand, trying to grab the burger.

“Mine!! It’s mine! Give me it Master, I eat more than you!!” Asura was drooling as he gazed at the burger, craving more of it. Avrin struggled as he somewhat wrestled about with the creature. “Greedy beast... You had yours!” Avrin spoke with a laugh as the two struggled about for it.

Tomorrow was indeed a big day, as their journey to the central continent would finally begin. Avrin had hoped that by going there he would be able to find more of a meaning in seeking godhood.

Little did he know though, that a couple of meters away from him, the vines protecting the outside world from the Sky Metal were almost completely dissolved by it whispers, emitting quietly from the metal as the veins surrounding it began to pump more of that liquid.
