----------------

Avrin put the thought aside for now. Right now he was thinking of the skymetal that he had stored in his enchanted bag, it was part of the main piece he obtained from Leo’s spatial ring. After waiting for so long the skymetal within his dark matter heart had not been forged yet, Avrin had a strange feeling it had something to do with this small chunk.

If this was the case then Avrin didn't want to absorb it now. If it suddenly activates and attacks him while he was occupied, it would spell trouble for him, so he thought it would be best to wait until he was alone.

Azrael glancing at Avrin suddenly spoke with a curious expression. “Avrin, you're capable of fighting on par with sigil wielders, and even managed to defeat Leo Zircus, just who are you truly?.”

Avrin simply glanced at Azrael and gave a soft smile. “In time not only you, but this whole world will come to know of who I am. Currently there is no need to reveal myself, in the meantime Azrael how did you want me to handle the situation with your daughter?”

Avrin didn't want to linger on the topic of who he was and thus brought up the final matter he had to attend to. Azrael who frowned a little as he couldn't find out Avrin’s true identity though he suddenly gave a serious look, “Judging by your strength Avrin, I have to tell you, do not underestimate Void.

I am not sure if my daughter has managed to master it or not, but this sigil weapon contains spells used by gods. It contains the most destructive force on this planet under the gods and above the dragons. I wish I could say I don't want to make things an issue for you, but my daughter....well she is still my flesh and blood, I only ask you do not kill or injure her greatly! She is still a child..”

Avrin was a little stumped judging by how things are, wasn't Driada born before Azrael was sealed long ago? He was wondering how Azrael could still consider her a child. “I’m not promising anything but it will depend on the situation, since I am also in a good mood I’ll try a bit harder.”

Avrin smirked a little before speaking again. “The place she is currently located at, I’m assuming it is covered by a large barrier of sorts?” With this spoken Azrael was a little astounded. “Oh Avrin, you researched before hand? Indeed this barrier is set up by Void as well and is a Mythical tier spell, Mage King’s Shield. I dare say that even us sigil wielders would spend a little time trying to break it, though I have a plan in how to deactivate it. Lilia please go over and retrieve the scroll over on that table.”

Azrael spoke to his second daughter who had remained silent the entire time. She simply smiled with excitement, she felt things were making progress, she hadn't been able to assist her father many years ago, but now she was able to. She was about to rush off before Avrin spoke, “No need!” Avrin glanced expressionlessly before his divine sense, which had already remained on the large dome like barrier, flickered somewhat before Avrin strengthened it. Avrin’s body turned to a purplish ash before he divine stepped an incredible distance. Such a feat could only truly be accomplished by the gods, and even they may not be able to do so easily.

Avrin could only see Azrael's astounded look before he had left and soon appeared within the barrier with no need to even break it. Avrin was a spectral being created by god himself and even given potential to become something incredibly great, how could he be stopped in his current state by a simple barrier.

Glancing around after he had reformed, Avrin could feel the atmosphere was a little desolate and cold, he could clearly feel everything within the palace now as the divine sense had re-expanded out. Within a large hall not to far from him, a being at peak of the Sage level and a power much greater, presumably the sigil weapon, were currently located within.

“-Simple, saves me a lot of time, but I will take Azrael's words to heart,-” Avrin knew sigil wielders couldn't detect him other than this Demon Queen, so the moment he had entered Driada who was currently sitting on her throne with a glass of wine in her hand suddenly felt Void quiver slightly.

“What's this?..” She waved her hand and Void rose up from its pedestal beside her throne before opening up in front of her and revealing a large layout of the interior of the palace, within was a small black dot that was currently glowing back and forth.

Driada’s eyes widened for a moment as she threw the glass of wine away before it shattered on the ground, the guards who had been within the hall all revealed curious expressions but none there wanted to ask what was wrong. Driada grabbed Void and carefully analysed it.

“-This dot, it symbolises that individual I have been searching for, I could only ever find him once after a few months then after a few years, and now Void you’re telling me he is within my palace!-” Driada clenched her teeth and looked as if she wanted to throw a tantrum.

Though the black dot which symbolised Avrin casually made its way across the map, several screams and shouts echoed out, this continued for several moments before everything grew deathly silent. The guards within the throne room were immediately alerted and roared out “Protect the queen!” While another would also shout out “Who dares attack the Demon Queen's royal palace!”

Driada tried to feel for what was going outside, but gazing she couldn't feel any ounce of mana, not even the black dot, it was as if it were there but not there. The large black obsidian doors in the royal throne room trembled slightly before silence was all that was left. Soon a faint purple mist began to seep in through under the door before the door seemed to wither and explode out.

A large tidal wave of nebula mist surged in catching some of the demon guards in surprise, they shrieked out, because as soon as the nebula mist touched them their armor began to disintegrate and their skin seemingly burn as it was eaten slowly by nebula mist. It hadn't taken long before they were grasped within the mist and thrown against the walls and pillars of the throne room, knocked unconscious.

Driada remained vigilant and had already cast a barrier over herself that expanded out a meter, this barrier was the Mage King’s Barrier, she was currently wondering how this individual entered without even breaking her previous barrier. “Impossible! How did you enter!”

With all the 10 guards at the Master level easily taken care of, the nebula mist surged to the ceiling and the ground before footsteps could be heard, an individual with a black cloak and hood that covered his face made his way casually within after seeing everyone was handled. “I truly have a bone to pick with you, Driada was it? Although I'm here on your father's request I also know for quite awhile you have been tracking me down, and it was only after I handled your goons did you stop.”

Driada was already standing up with Void prepared in her right hand, her eyes narrowed slightly, she revealed a slight look of fear. When she gazed at Avrin she felt as if she was unable to discern just how powerful he was, this worried her.

“Yes, you can see why I have tried to track you, though it was quite hard, eventually I gave up as I was unable to, but here you are, which saves me time, and then you say you are here on my father's behalf?” Driada grinned a little before Void began to tremble a little. “You definitely have something to do with freeing him, both you and my little brat of a sister, you're after my sigil weapon? “

Suddenly several glowing star shaped objects began to surge out of Void, each one representing an affinity of mana, from darkness to light, fire to water. Avrin was carefully examining the situation, though he was already acting, the nebula mist had already engulfed the entire floor of the throne room only unable to enter through Driada’s barrier, several shadow pillars began to form around her while Avrin spoke.

“If you know why I'm here, then save yourself the defeat and me the trouble. Hand over Void and I will be on my way.” Avrin didn't want to remain and trouble himself longer than he needed. But as expected Driada didnt accept and infact roared out. “ARROGANT!!” Driada then began to chant several phrases each one causing the star shaped objects to flicker before they all shot towards Avrin.

The flame one was the first to near him before it pulsed out and exploded into a flame pillar with a width of 10 meters. It effortlessly pierced through the nebula mist surrounding the ceiling and shot through as it exploded into the sky for a few moments before vanishing. Avrin had already used his speed to dash back and avoid it, a look of surprise and awe was planted on his face.

“Now this is magic!” He spoke with a look of excitement. The magic he had seen so far seemed quite lame in his eyes until now, but then again what could he expect from people of that level, Void was truly incredible.

Nebula mist surged around Avrin as the light star neared and exploded out, of course Avrin had already formed a shield of dark matter that was incomparably stronger than before. When the light star exploded out, it formed into a glowing white sword that struck down with a powerful might.

The sword slashed down across the dome like shield as it cleaved the ground somewhat before causing the shield to tremble slightly and crack a little. The power of the sword continued beyond the shield and split the portion of the palace in its direction in two with a large cleave that spanned for a 100 meters.

Avrin knew his own body's durability was powerful but these spells were still on the level of a Mythical being and would be able to injure him somewhat. Even worse was that she could use all the elemental affinities and together they posed a threat to him.

“This is what happens when you offend and go against the great Demon Queen! Not even the Angel Lord would dare easily fight against me! In this world I only stand below the gods!” Driada yelled with maddened laughter. Avrin frowned before he willed the 5 shadow pillars, that were currently congealed into spheres of pure dark matter that soon gathered enough energy before they surged and shot up like spears from within the mist.

The sudden sight cause Driada to panic but it had caught her off guard, the shadow pillars smashed against her barrier with strength no less than the Mythical level showing Avrin’s current ability. They easily penetrated through the barrier and seemed to hold the barrier with Driada inside of it in place, with Driada’s concentration lost the mana stars seemed to stop in motion.

It was then that Avrin’s hands flickered before several powerful condensed void spheres shot out and precisely hit all the mana stars before turning them into ash although Avrin regretted it a little since these would make decent dark cores. He waved his hands once more the moment Driada began to chant again, and before she could continue the shadow pillars exploded into nebula mist causing the barrier to shudder and crack even more.

The tips of the shadow pillars that were already a couple of feet in had turned into nebula mist that remained in the barrier, it began to twist around Driada before forming into void spheres, Driada panicked in her mind but her incantation was finished.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Void surged before a pulse of dark light exploded out from it. “Zephiron’s Pulse!” A surge of dark mana caused not only the nebula mist inside the barrier, but the barrier itself as well as the nebula mist gathered around her to explode away, the spell was incredibly powerful as it even destroyed the walls and supporting pillars of the throne room and not even stopping.

The entire palace began to tremble showing that it was clearly unable to hold all this. The remaining individuals who had not been knocked unconscious by Avrin had already fled, Avrin could simply sigh a little before using the dark matter that still remained to form a barrier over the guards that he had defeated within throne room as the palace began to crumble slightly, the ceiling collapsed greatly as a large hall was opened up the moonlight shot through illuminating the dimly lit throne room.

“You’re truly crazy..” Avrin shook his head in disappointment slightly. Driada whose hair was now messy and gave an annoyed twisted look no longer looked like an attractive seductress but more so a corrupted devil. “You...HOW DARE YOU!!” Mana of all sorts of affinity began to surge around her from Void before she began to float up and shot past the hall formed by her spell.

She was now 50 meters above the palace, she glanced down at Avrin with annoyance and began to chant again. “E’rtil Nuiya Opthinio Luesuis Neyuinik” while continue her chant Avrin had a strange feeling, but excitement continued to well up in his body as he grinned. His body exploded out with dark matter that continued to seep out not only from the mana in the air but also from his enormous dark space.

After 10 seconds of chanting, Void seemed to tremble slightly as well as Driada’s face going pale, one could tell the spell was something she could barely handle. A slight tear in space appeared above a nearby mountain before the mountain was seemingly ripped apart, all the debris and rubble was sucked into this rip in space, of course all this happened several miles away.

Another rip in space appeared above Driada, the debris that was sucked in was shot down and began to form into an object. Eventually one could see the object formed was an enormous spear, all the debris was crushed extremely tightly together, the 700 meter high mountain was now condensed in a 100 meter spear.

The spear began to radiate mana from all affinities as the tip of it began to form a spiral of energy that seemed to distort space slightly. Driada laughed as she spoke with her voice echoing out, although the only one around to hear it was Avrin as the city had already been evacuated very quickly, and all the spectators were quite far with fear of getting closer.

“You insolent worm! I had tried to recruit you before, but now you are going against me! This is a God Tier spell of Malakus, Continental Spear! Rumored to have the strength to pierce a continent!!”

Driada clearly was experiencing a surge of excitement but Avrin only snickered before a vortex formed within his hand, a mass of dark matter seemingly formed into a spear of his own with a length no greater than 2 meters long, with a width of 5 centimeters. The spear itself was black and purple but emitted a heavy tyrannical aura one could say this was the most powerful weapon Avrin had personally formed using his current maximum strength without the help of a sigil weapon.

Of course this was done out of experience but without holding back. Driada glanced at the spear in Avrin’s hand and felt her heart shudder slightly, she could see the dark matter still surging around it. She roared out in her temper before pointed her hand towards Avrin.

The large Continental Spear shot towards Avrin like a comet descending from the heavens, a small air vortex seemed to form around it with the spiral of all mana affinities at its tip shining about like a being ready to exert justice.

Avrin raised the spear in his hand aiming it carefully towards the continental spear, with his body experience and divine sense it was nearly impossible for him to miss it, “Let’s see which is stronger then, your god level spear or mine!”

Avrin’s right hand shot outwards before the spear released, it seemed to screech and shriek in anger before space distorted, it seemed like an evil unleashed upon the world after experiencing torture and now wanting revenge.

The spear suddenly exploded forward before it distorted, it began to zigzag in many angles as if it were sentient. It then shot towards the tip of the continental spear, both of them colliding before an explosion of force pulsed out causing the palace to crush down, even the buildings near it weren't spared as they were crushed to dust. Avrin as well as Driada needed to create barriers whether of mana or dark matter to protect themselves from the aftershock.

It was only for a couple of seconds before Avrin’s spear easily gained the upperhand, it shot through the continental spear after destroying the mana affinity tipped point. The continental spear shattered into a rain of rubble and dust, but Avrin’s spear zigzagged again as it shot towards Driada who gave a look of horror.

Avrin’s eyes widened before he quickly willed the spear to not hit her, but its speed was beyond his expectation, it had already pierced and destroyed her barrier before shooting towards her chest. It barely drew blood before it quickly zigzagged around with precision and shot back down towards Avrin before it was grabbed.

Avrin could feel the spear was quite tyrannical, he has used dark matter on the level of two sigil weapons, he wouldn't want it to go to waste, and would be sure to reabsorb it when he was done. He divine stepped in front of the shocked Driada who didn't have time to recover, the spear was pointed towards her head as he glanced at her.

Driada glanced back with shock and horror, “You....” She uttered out, of course Avrin didn't let her continue. His hand flickered before he personally snatched Void from her at near point blank range. Even more shock appeared on her face as her eyes welled up. “You… You bully!!!” Tears began to well up in her eyes as she burst into tears cursing Avrin and began throwing a childish tantrum with childish curses. Avrin’s expression flickered as his face paled a little, he absorbed the spear he had created not even bothering to name it at this moment, but he knew it was something that would truly help him later on if he didn't want to use skymetal weapons.

Avrin frowned and gazed at her “-Azrael wasn't joking she truly is a child-” after thinking to himself he reached over and grabbed Driada by her left hand. “Be quiet, and stand still....” Driada who continued to cry and curse at Avrin was about to take her hand back before she felt her body become heavy and then like him turned to ash.

Divine stepping with an individual of dark matter wasn't hard for Avrin, he had no need to touch them unless he was in a dire state, but when it came to objects and beings made of mana he needed to either have a grip of them or have them within a cloud of nebula mist that scaled to them.

Avrin had been gone for 15 minutes, Azrael had already heard from his connections of a battle taking place within the royal capital. He gave a nervous look although he could do nothing but wait, he was no match for his daughter if she used Void. “Father, please relax, Avrin will surely come out victorious!” Lilia spoke with pride as she glanced at Azrael who was seated.

Of course all his subordinates were tending to their own matters, trying to not look nervous themselves as they understood what was on the line. Though space seemed to ripple slightly before small ash like particles formed into two individuals. One was an annoyed Avrin while the other was Driada who was crying and cursing at him.

Driada suddenly stopped and looked around, Azrael also looked up and the two of their eyes met. “Father!...” Driada clenched her teeth as she felt her heart skip a beat, Azrael glanced at her then at Avrin as well as Void in his hand, a smile formed on his face and color soon returned. “Avrin...it seems I underestimated you again. I hope my daughter wasn't to much trouble.“

Azrael frowned a little and his right hand emitted a black light that shot towards Driada who was exhausted and afraid, the light engulfed her hands and seemingly covered her in runic seals, she fell to her knees and growled angrily. “Let me go father!!” She roared out.

Azrael clenched his teeth and shouted. “SILENCE!. You dumb child....have you learnt nothing in all these years, your mother and I have truly spoiled you and in the end it wasn't you who had bothered to lift a finger to save me but your poor younger step sister who has suffered more than you!!”

Driada’s eyes narrowed as she laughed and spoke out. “You're despicable father, how can you refer to her as even half my sister...she is the spawn of a human, you betrayed mother when she died and fell in love with some human?...Only for her to die as well during the war, hahaha” Driada seemed to laugh madly again.

Lilia only frowned with a saddened look, Azrael’s expression flickered before he walked over and raised his hand about to slap his daughter, but when his hand came down, Avrin raised his hand and grabbed it and glanced over at Azrael.

“Avrin...you?.” Azrael was stunned that the one who stopped him was Avrin, Driada was also shocked at this. Avrin simply glanced over and spoke. “Although she has angered you greatly, she is still your daughter, and you her father...these relations are something I'm sure need to be remade, that being said you told me yourself she is still a child and also spoiled, handle the matter in a different way, and if you still insist on hitting her, do it when I'm not around...”

Avrin’s glance weighed heavily on Azrael who quivered a little before nodding and gazing at Driada before sighing. “You're right...my temper has gotten the better of me… I apologize Avrin. Lilia and you two, come put Driada within the earthen cell..” Lilia glanced at Driada and soon two individuals of the peak master rank came over and the three of them began to lead a silent and shocked Driada away.

Azrael then glanced at Avrin, he was truly interested in furthering relations with him, but the brand Septim placed on him made things annoying. “Well things have been handled. You're quite quick with your methods. I'm jealous of that teleportation which seems to be unique to you, of course if it is learnable I wouldn't mind coming to an agreement with you, I also know the location of a dragon within this western continent, how about it Avrin?”

Avrin glanced curiously at Azrael, though he was no longer currently interested in dragons if this brand wasn't removed, as well as the fact that he was branded the moment he killed a second one. “I will pass on that, for the moment though, see if you can remove this brand.” Avrin passed Void over to Azrael somewhat reluctantly as he had to force a bit of the greed away.

Azrael nodded and could only sigh in regret not daring to push the matter further, he had taken Void and began to read across it as he began to give looks of awe, confusion, and even laughter at times. “This is amazing...so many spells and possibilities...some even I have tried studying but have never been able to comprehend, Avrin this-”

Avrin’s arms were already folded as he gave a somewhat annoyed look, Azrael paled again and soon laughed. “Of course the dispel, let's see here, oh here it is!” After turning a few pages he had found what Avrin was after.

“This spell is known as Holy Surge. a high level Mythical spell capable of removing any curse, poison, and ailment, under the power of the gods. I won't keep you waiting longer, the chant for this is in ancient tongue instead of the common language formed today,”

Avrin simply remained quiet as he waited for Azrael, of course inside he was eager and hoping it would work.
