Chapter 63 The Old Dwarf

Chapter 63 The Old Dwarf

                                                              Important Announcement's

before we continue i would like to take a bit of my readers time to go over 2 important things that i recently found out aswell as 1 i need. the first one is below.

i would like to express that i am truly ashamed of what some up and comming authors have done. i will explain. i was speaking to an admin concerning ideas that i had aswell as talking to him as a friend. it was then that he told me that some authors "not naming anyone" have made several multi accounts and have been self upvoting themselfs. not only that they have also been downvoting sr. let me give you an example of how effective this is.

because i have 300+ reviews i need atleast 5 reviews that are positive to get 0.01 point. the ammount of multi account negative reviews that were deleted were enough to give me 0.04 points back and not all the multi accounts are gone yet. im truly ashamed of you guys i work hard on my story and try to make it something everyone enjoys to the point where i take money from my own pocket to have artwork done to increase the quality.

my advice to you guys is not resort to cheap tactics.  if you want to even consider entering the top #10 then without the mindset to actually dedicate yourself you wont make it. thinking this is some cheap thrill to write then you will not even make it into the top #20.

that bieng said to my readers please do not search and dig around looking for someone to hate. writing this has allready made me feel better  aswell as always bringing you guys ch's :) now then the second important thing is below.

Spectral Regalia's Information Document needs a caretaker!!

thats right up until now i'v been waiting after every volume has finished to update things but i can see i am adding quite a bit more content so im looking for a dedicated willing and reasonable person who enjoys SR to give access to my information doc on the google drive area for sr.

1-Please be a mature person i would like someone who wont change things in a sneaky way as i have quite a good memory for that information page so il notice the smaller details that are gone.

2- someone who can update it after every ch. someone who enjoys reading my chs and will update the doc as soon as they can.

3-someone who is good with grammar aswell as spelling. lets be honest you all know grammar isnt my strong point >.> so i need people to help me with that.

4-exceed my expectations - i wouldnt mind someone who can make the layout more neat and organize things right now i think its a bit messy.

in return not all that hardwork is wasted i will email the raw copy to them before its even pred for them to get that read aswell as the information needed to update the doc ahead of time.

Moving on now ;p

!!!!!!!!!Round Of Applause for Tembulon for re pring this please give him some rep ^^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as some of you may see this ch is an extra 1k long because i had to give a bit more of an explanation regarding the main area im writing about because its something im enjoying quite a bit :) i really hope you guys enjoy it to

---------------------------

Altea, the capital of freedom, whether they were kings of human kingdoms that littered the continent or people seeking a chance at life. Here the empire of Altea, ruled by king Leo Zircus decreed that everyone is to be given a fair chance and that in this bastion of freedom for humanity, they are to stick together as one.

This was the quick explanation Gregson had given to Avrin during the time they spoke when the group had dinner. “Master this city is enormous…” Asura said, a little surprised at how large the towering structures appeared.

“Quite expansive indeed” Avrin showed a little surprise at its grandeur. The convoy went on, avoiding the main path. They took a different route that led to a circular walled area that seemed more like an outpost; it was connected to the city walls that spanned nearly a hundred meters high.

Time went on as the carriages made their way through the streets. As Avrin exited his own carriage he noticed the Rose Blade carriage in the distance, it had continued down the main path where they were treated like heroes. Who wouldn't enjoy the reputation?

“Lord Avrin I do apologize, regarding the events that occurred before we arrived, I’m sure you want to see the city as soon as you can, why don't you take some time to do so while I handle my affairs if that is ok with you?” Gregson was quick to speak to Avrin, Avrin had already replied “no need to worry about me”, accepting Gregson's offer. “After what had happened it would be better to rest a bit so I do find this okay. I’ll explore it in my own time. Right now I think it's best if you did go on with settling you're matters as soon as you can so by all means go ahead.”

Avrin truly wanted everything handled and over with, he was not one to linger around someone else's tracks for long, as he wanted his own path to traverse.

“Very well lord Avrin… I hope you will give me some time to handle the matters of my deceased soldiers” Avrin took a better look at Gregson seeing that he was clearly exhausted with a little emotional strain and anger.

“Uh.. Let me apologize lord Gregson I seem to have forgotten the events that occurred. I’m sure you have quite a bit of work to go through regarding it as well as the task you were tending to on the elven continent.”

Letting out a sigh of relief, Gregson was at ease. Regarding Avrin's understanding, “2 months at most Avrin, I personally want to visit the families of the deceased to give my apologies at my lack of awareness” he said with a sad expression.

Avrin's respect towards Gregson had raised a few levels; he was a man who put in the effort to personally treat a soldier with individual importance, truly someone to respect. “Take the time you need I guess my companion and I will seek an inn and explore the city a little.”

Gregson chuckled softly “Lord Avrin, wouldn't you both like to stay at my residence here? I’m sure it’ll be suitable for both of you."Thinking about it Avrin neither wanted to bring too much attention nor did he want to leech. Although he would be at Gregson’s residence he felt he had his own problems.

“I must decline Gregson but if you need me I’ll try to find the closest inn near the Fafnir forge.” Gregson’s eyes lit up as he grinned “sparing no time for that hobby of yours ha-ha I’m sure the grand forge master will enjoy your talents, in that case shall I have a carriage take you through the military entrance?”

Shaking his head Avrin motioned Asura to follow him “that’s fine, if there's nothing else, I’ll see you in a couple of months.” With clear eagerness Avrin and Asura vanished using their great speed, leaving Gregson shaking his head at the two jewels he had found.

The city of Altea was a bustling hub of life and trade, imported goods from all around Seleria could be seen here. Rare trinkets to exotic fruits as well as street performers. The streets of Altea were clean and there are no beggars or orphans on the streets.

Avrin who was walking with Asura beside him smiled. It was his first time seeing a city in such good shape, to think they paid such care to its layout. All the trade buildings seemed to be kept on one side while the houses were laid out on the other side.

Of course the street itself was packed with all sorts of individuals, from people wearing ragged clothes to others wearing expensive attire with guards escorting them. The merchants were all busy, there were many street vendors, and Avrin figured the upkeep of a store must be quite an expensive task.

“Master it's hard to breathe here... there are so many people…” Asura spoke uncomfortably. "Don’t be such a baby, for these people this is what living truly is" Avrin clearly showing joy in watching such events unfold.

Avrin being from a world with high levels of technology, people didn't go out much and handled things electronically unless they were from a world with low tech, seeing such life and atmosphere was strange. Regardless of the towns and cities Avrin had been to, it always made him smile.

Asura growled and pouted at Avrin's words calling him a baby but that was before he stopped and opened his hand “master can I have some money to go eat” Avrin also stopped and looked at Asura.

“--You have been with me a while and yet you cannot form currency? All you do is eat --” Asura's eyes lit up and widened as if he knew where this was going “--master please do not tell me what I think you are planning--.”

With a menacing smile on his face Avrin continued walking “--East of here there lies an expansive forest, go train there and don't come back till you are at least able to form gold coins. You have already touched it enough to know what it's like as well as have some of my knowledge--.”

Asura made a slight whining sound that made the people passing nearby look at him confused before continuing on. “--Master….but I want to live in this human city--” Avrin frowned before pulling out 3 gold coins and handing them to Asura as he stated using his words instead of telepathy “3 gold coins to use for 2 months.

I will be tending to my own skills and will not constantly spoil you. You are the 2nd of my race and I won't see you act in such a way, how you use these coins is up to you. But do not seek me unless you have made a breakthrough.”

Holding the coins with both hands like a child who got less than his expected pocket money, Asura took a deep breath before nodding “yes master…” he knew Avrin's mind couldn't be changed and he figured it would be for the better.

Avrin turned around and walked off in his own direction. “He-he but first I’ll go get a snack” like a child drawn to a candy store Asura vanished towards the food stalls. Avrin wasted no more time heading towards the craft district.

The trade district was the closest to Altea's main entrance making it easier for people coming from outside to produce and sell their wares, it also made the inner areas of Altea cleaner and less crowded.

The craft district was the next section linked to the trade district, this was because it allowed materials to be delivered quickly as well as allow wares to be sold to tradesmen or directly from the shops even faster so adventurers and people alike didn't have to traverse far.

Of course there were some exceptions, in the inner districts where the nobles lived; there would be restaurants of high quality or tailoring shops of high quality as well as things reserved only for the people who could afford it.

“Excuse me sir do you know where I can find the Fafnir forge?” Avrin asked a guard dressed in a full set of plate armour that eyed him for a moment. “Ha-ha stranger let me tell you don't bother I doubt you can afford anything there only high nobles can spend the hundreds of gold for even a fork crafted there.”

Avrin blinked under his white mask as he felt he could get some good information. Of course he had to coerce the guard first. He flicked a gold coin toward the guard who seemed shocked before catching it quickly “tell me everything you know about it.”

The guard eyed the coin with great joy, of course city guards were paid well but this gold coin was at least 2 weeks wage. “Ha-ha kind stranger the Fafnir forge is run by a grandmaster dwarf.”

Avrin frowned “not that. Why is it so expensive?? Surely there's a reason why one would pay a hundred gold for an iron or steel fork” the guard shook his head as his full plate helmet shook slightly. “That’s not it at all. I hear the reason is the Fafnir forge doesn't smelt any lesser metals like copper, iron or even steel, the materials they get are all worth a lot which is why only nobles can afford it. Only the crappy lesser blacksmiths in the crafting district handle that.”

Thinking carefully Avrin's regard toward the Fafnir forge was iffy, Klin told him much of how hard blacksmiths worked and how respectful they seemed towards their trade, then why was it they seemed to neglect metals?

“I see…” after handing the guard another gold coin for the valuable information he was directed to the forge. Avrin wasn't hungry or tired although he neglected his daily pulsing dragon; he had even forgotten to secure a room at an inn to visit the forge.

Standing in front of the building made Avrin widen his eyes. It was more like a mansion than a forge. Of course it had the several guards at the front wearing exquisite sets of armour with the emblem of a dragon.

Containing several furnaces that seemed glamorous as well as men and even women whose bodies were trained and honed for blacksmithing. Avrin approached the guards carefully and took out the letter Klin gave him. “Good evening sirs I have a letter of recommendation from…”

Ignoring Avrin's word the guard took the letter and looked at the seal carefully before speaking “wait here…” a little shocked and annoyed at his attitude as the first guard left Avrin asked the other. “Is there a problem?”

The guard snickered. “Hah problem? You don’t know that every week we get several bastards with fake commendations trying to learn blacksmithing here.” No wonder it was treated as no big deal.

As Avrin looked around out of curiosity, past the iron fences that showed glimpses of the people working on special ores things quieted down.

3 men wearing sleeveless robes showing scars as well as bulging muscles came out of the large mansion like building each showing an angry expression. The blacksmiths all settled down and whispered around. One asked the other “w...why are the masters outside...?” while another who was closer to the gate responded. “I heard another recommendation was handed in ha-ha.”

The guard who was near Avrin froze up and turned pale as he opened the gate. The 3 human men showing greyish beards that had an untidy fashion as if scorched by fire and worn with pride gazed at Avrin. The middle one raised his hand and dropped something on the ground.

Looking down Avrin saw that it was a crumpled up letter. “How dare you….I’m sick of dealing with these fake commendations….you think you can come in here and learn...not in a million life times will you be worthy….you damned liar.” the elderly man berated rudely before spitting near Avrin's foot.

His loud voice had brought the blacksmiths around to see. All of them laughing and grinning “sir I must say that recommendation was not fa-.” interrupting Avrin another shouted “piss off...you dare take our art so dully? You think this a little fun and an easy so you can make money?!!”

With the blacksmiths all laughing and swearing at Avrin a bit of rage began to build inside him. He smiled under his mask taking small breaths and turning his back and walking off. “Don’t come back we don't need shitty worthless liars here!!”

By then as Avrin walked off, a carriage went by him and stopped at the front gate. It had the emblem of a thin dragon the same as on the guard's armour. As Avrin was now gone the blacksmiths as well as the master blacksmiths all saw the carriage and bowed. “Welcome back grand forge master!!”

A small yet muscular dwarf stepped out scratching his butt as he burped. “What’s all this noise at this time? The dwarf Brokkr as it turned out had long black hair with grey strands that connected to his beard that went down to his chest.

One of the men apologized “sorry grand forge master we had another fake commendation...we are fed up with it all.” For the blacksmiths behind, they rarely saw Brokkr so it was a bit of delight but the 2 masters beside the one in the middle ordered them back to work.

Brokkr leaned down raising a brow as he took the letter and made his way inside his forge. Fixing it up, he often enjoyed reading these fake commendations. He stopped midway towards the building and growled softly.

“Ha-ha this one is very close to Klin's handwriting” the 3 masters nodded with pride being able to pick it up as a fake. “What gives it away is the fact that this imposter says he was able to flatten azure iron in one go, preposterous….”

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

The 3 masters and Brokkr laughed as he threw the recommendation in a nearby brazier. Avrin’s mood had turned sour. “Making a fool out of me…” Clenching his fists he walked down towards the trade district to find an inn when a voice stopped him.

“Hey kid I a saw the little show that was put on there, ha-ha you had it tough but that is the price for a fake recommendation.” Turning his head Avrin spotted a short figure with a grey beard and an eye patch with some scars on his face. The figures scalp was also bald. “A dwarf?” Avrin murmured softly, this being his first time truly seeing one.

“Hey don't say it like you're disgusted…there aren't many of us here…” The dwarf replied as he ushered a donkey looking creature with several sacks on its side. “That recommendation wasn't fake…” Avrin replied to defend himself.

“Yeah yeah they all say that...if you really want to make gold quickly, blacksmithing isn't for you boy it's something much more” Avrin frowned he knew all that already but didn't speak back. “I’ll just find another forge to learn at I don't care about the gold...” he spoke truthfully.

The dwarf began to laugh “ha-ha is that true then?... well if you want to learn at a forge come to mine I just opened up a couple days ago and I got no one to help me “ the dwarf replied. Thinking carefully Avrin began to reason. “-Dwarves were born to be master crafters, there's no doubt they all have talent and I can learn a thing or two unless this one has a screw or more loose-”

Avrin then softly replied “very well. “ Almost immediately the dwarf replied and dropped the leash for his donkey creature handing it to Avrin “great! Since you don't care about the gold you will be learning for free but I’ll let you sleep and eat at the forge”

Shamefully taking the leash and having already been degraded enough he wasn't in any position to argue. He doubted there would be many good forges let alone ones run by a dwarf. “F...Fine…” he accepted with little care.

Several minutes later Avrin discovered the dwarf's name was Eitri, other than that he didn't learn much or why he even came to the central continent. Having arrived at the dwarf's shop, it was located inside an alley and was only a few dozen meters wide and looked messy.

“Well…this place I’m sure has seen better days…” Avrin whispered to which Eitri said “boy here is your first lesson. A blacksmith can be as dirty as a dump but as long as the smith puts his heart and soul into what he crafts it will always come out top grade.”

Avrin blinked a little, this dwarf was either touchy or just dedicated. “Well then when do I start smithing? “Avrin removed his gauntlets showing his unique hands that made Eitri laugh. “Hahaha with those girly hands? Your gonna be doing something to toughen them up!”

Turning red, Avrin was glaring. He would love to smack Eitri to put some sense into him but held himself back. Blacksmithing was something that changed the way he felt and was far from the usual composed careless him to someone who was eager to learn and barely able to handle criticism.

Eitri unloaded the sacks from the donkey like creature before leading it away to its home. After coming back he emptied all 4 sacks all containing low quality iron ore. Leaning down Avrin picked up a couple of pieces and examined them.

“Why such shoddy iron ore surely you can get better quality for a reasonable price?” Eitri frowned. “Lesson two… each piece of ore is treated with respect… even the dullest iron ore can compare to the sharpest golden blade. Take them over to the arcane wash and clean them all till they shine.”

Avrin made his way to the arcane wash. It was his first time using such a device considering that all the ore he had used to forge was already cleaned and prepared. The arcane wash was a simple yet draining device. It would take the person's inner mana and use it to purify the ore from as many impurities as it could.

Almost like peeling a potato but this was a chunk of ore being chipped away by one's inner mana. Of course only hard-core traditional blacksmiths still used such a device. Mana stones instead of one's energy would usually fuel the arcane washes so when Avrin asked where the mana stone was Eitri laughed. “Mana stones? Do I look like I’m rich to you ha-ha.”

Avrin faced the square crucible looking device with runes all around it. “-How is this going to work for me….I don't use mana…-” Avrin decided to attempt it, at most if things went bad he would pay for the mana stones himself and buy an automated wash.

Placing the first ore into the centre of the flat crucible looking object, the arcane wash was simple really, just focus whatever mana you can feel into it. There was not one person that couldn't do this as at one stage in someone's life they could feel their inner mana as for how well it depended on how much they trained.

Of course Eitri's intention for getting Avrin to do this was to train Avrin's inner mana to be more useful. Avrin having no idea what was about to happen willed dark matter into the device. The runes instead of glowing blue began to shine purple and emit a Smokey aura before the dark matter began to shred away at all the impurities eating away at it like a ravenous lion.

The outcome was astonishing. The device’s runes had a set mechanism focus to peel away the impurities and with Avrin willing his dark matter and guiding it into the runes the mechanism took care of the rest.

It was like putting jet fuel into a lawn mower. Not one spec of dirt remained, not only did it cleanse away the impurities the iron ore had been polished to a point where it shined like gold. Eitri looked back slack jawed at Avrin, thoughts running through his mind “-this boy...what...no way...this energy maybe he's an enigmatic user….hmmm-”

Avrin not noticing Eitri was watching, showed a proud expression before continuing on with the next piece. He was nervous at first but was slowly easing up. Before he could start Eitri quickly took the piece of polished cleansed iron. “Boy...your mana... you are definitely an enigmatic level user…” he said looking at the iron ore that was 5 grams in weight.

The process from cleansing using an arcane wash would destroy some iron with it but it seemed that it was all cleaned without loss which was surprising causing Eitri's attempts at teaching Avrin to fail.

“I am I do hope you will keep it a secret.” Eitri scoffed and laughed. “Boy enigmatic user or not that title is only amazing to kings and nobles, in my forge you are not even a smith but right now you are my iron washer” Eitri smiled. “Good job though now clean it all!!”

Avrin usually after telling them he was an enigmatic level user would find their reactions to be more respectful but it seemed Eitri hardly cared in fact it seemed his reaction was more so someone who could see profit, hearing the words 'good job now clean it all' made Avrin smile then frown.

Having gone through 76 kilos of iron ore, in the end 23 kilos of the metal was obtained in powder form that shined brightly.

Eitri and Avrin looked over the powder that was located in several containers. “When you heat the powder up, usually most blacksmiths add in some other materials like zinc or copper to save some money but I don't do that shit here it's all or nothing. The good thing about iron ore is…”

Going on to explain things Avrin knew a bit about he came to discover traits and qualities not even Klin had told him about, it was as if he had only been led into the front door of a house and thought that was it. That was until he realised there were other rooms to explore.

After explaining to Avrin, Eitri's way of forging an ingot, which differed from Klin. Avrin sweated a little before clearing his throat. “I’ll give it a shot.” Eitri's intention was to get Avrin to stay at the arcane wash for a couple of years before moving him up to clean things but seeing Avrin's potential he was secretly overjoyed that he was an enigmatic user and decided to scale him up.

The furnace Eitri used was several meters long but only had a small entrance that was barely a foot long. He used a Mould rod. Avrin seemed a little too careful. Basically a 3-foot rod with an ingot mould attached to it.

Avrin hadn't seen this before and asked why this was the case, Eitri's reply was simple “making an ingot using this furnace takes 30 seconds to melt all the powder. All the blacksmiths I have seen don't care if it's in there an extra 5 or 10 seconds or even 1 second but those people are dumb!! They forget that everything has mana inanimate or not. When you put an element of earth against an element of fire it will slowly lose mana.

Smelting iron makes it lose the bit of mana it has, which means you need to pull it out exactly on 30 seconds. Boy, listen carefully to my ratio. If that smelted iron loses 20% mana every 10 seconds then in a second you lose 2% mana that may not seem like much but it makes a difference.”

Avrin dared not speak it was as if he had advanced a stage. He was truly eager to try things out. He immediately placed the rod mould with the iron powder inside the furnace and at 30 seconds he took it out with a smile but Eitri laughed and spoke up.

“Wrong!!” Avrin then frowned. “What do you mean wrong that was 30 seconds?!” Eitri grinned. “Boy I told you it's all or nothing. You think I’m going to let a flame ruin my product, my way of smithing is unlike anything you have seen. That rod you're holding is something special I developed look carefully at it”

Gazing at the mould rod Avrin noticed it had runic engravings all over it up until the mould “runes?” Eitri nodded then shook his head. “Not just any runes...these runes reinfuse mana into the iron depending on the person's element it will replace that lost % with the element of the person who forged it let me explain it to you.”

Eitri began to show his true experience and expertise in not just blacksmithing but arcane arts as well “because the furnace burns away the earthen mana if someone with earth mana infuses the metal with the mana again it will be fine and dandy top shape. But what happens when you replace that lost % with the flame element or even water or nature mana it becomes an enchanted ingot without the effort of paying those weirdo enchanters.

The tool was indeed handy and Avrin was eager to see it in action. Eitri took the ingot and began to infuse his own flame-attuned mana into it. “Boy look carefully, infusing mana is not all easy, you have to keep the flow constant and steady. Too much and it ruins the balance, too little and you're out of time and gotta take the iron out to let it rest a bit before redoing it wasting time and also slowly ruining the iron.”

Watching carefully he began to see the iron was emitting a reddish aura that was somewhat similar to azure irons “amazing…” he whispered quietly to which Eitri snickered and said “that’s nothing. I can replace 70% of the irons weak earthen mana with my flame mana. That’s my limit. One day I’m going to turn that 70 into 100%.”

“-So it's possible to not just replace the lost mana but to replace it completely-” he then spoke questioning Eitri. “If 70% is simple to do, why is it hard to make it 100%?” Eitri laughed and shook his head.

“The more you replace the more the earthen metal converts into mana, when you pass 30% you have to slowly chip 1% off each time and when you pass 40% it gets much harder and you need to not only focus on flowing the right amount to chip those % off but the metal loses its physical form and turns into energy. Do I look like I can afford tools that can forge metal made from mana? If I can barely make the fabric of the iron convert into mana what chance do I have trying for other metals.”

Avrin pursed his lips and looked blankly, if Eitri was a blacksmith who has trained for many years and was still only able to go that far with converting iron into a mana ingot that's 70% done then the other ores must be harder he pondered before asking.

“Have you tried this technique with other ores master?” Avrin said showing a bit of respect which made Eitri feel old and frown before speaking as he pulled out the iron ingot with a 60% conversion into a mana ingot, it gave off a mild transparent reddish hue. He pulled out his hammer which had runes engraved all over it with the shape of a dragons head on the back. He smacked the ingot 4 times before flattening it.

The sparks it caused flew around causing small flames wherever it touched not dying out until several seconds had past. Avrin could see the energy resonating within it. “I’ve tried with copper and reached 40%, tin is also at 40%. As for silver ha-ha I couldn't even replace 20% of that lost mana.”

Avrin had taken a more in-depth look at blacksmithing, he felt that this was only scratching the surface and he had only just begun to understand the profound mysteries. “This...how can this be blacksmithing when you focus too much on mana and imbuing?” he asked. Eitri laughed. “Boy who said I focused on blacksmithing in the first place, you're talking to the first arcane smith on Seleria” he boasted proudly.

“Bah people like you. You may be wearing a weird white mask but I can tell that you have never met a true visionary!” Avrin was stupefied at this dwarf who seemed a bit too paranoid. “t...that's not it master please continue.”

Eitri began to clean and polish the flame ingot using his bare hands that held scars from burn marks and more but it didn't seem to burn him at all. “I’ll only tell you a little. Me being an arcane smith I want to focus on imbuing metals with mana.”

Avrin sat down on a nearby stool and spoke out “but aren't there ores already imbued with mana such as the azure ore?” Eitri laughed. “Boy azure iron is like this. It’s iron ore that is formed weirdly. Its structure will be 10% earth 10% whatever element it was found on other than earth. Then 10% earth again.

Then 10% whatever element again. Its makeup is sloppy, whatever the gods were thinking when they made it I’m not sure but they were drinking too much ha-ha. The way I do things is to neatly convert it. When you smelt azure iron it will fart like a fat dwarf who drank too much ale and gasp for air. Or in its case gasp for the mana of whatever it closest to.”

Silence for several seconds “-this dwarf indeed knows a lot, Klin can't compare to his knowledge. So far just who is he...arcane smithing I haven't even heard of that is it a dwarf thing? -” Avrin wondered to himself “master you say you are the first arcane smith surely you're fellow dwarves do it to?”

Eitri laughed as he picked up a nearby cup of a beverage he had left yesterday sniffing it then drinking it. “Those coots kicked me out for being too weird with my methods saying that I will ruin their traditional ways and all. It’s not that I don't like tradition and all that crap but advancement and new methods is what should make us dwarves good. We should be the one's discovering new methods of crafting and mastering it.

After all, these days humans, elves, beasts and demons can craft and become blacksmiths now. Eventually they will catch up to us in skill which is why we need to innovate and master to become the leaders again.”

In Avrin's mind Eitri seemed to not give a crap about much and swear a lot but he seemed to really care about making the dwarves reach the top of blacksmithing again. Of course no one could match them with it now but he had thought years ahead to god knows when and innovated specially to increase the timer again, he truly cared for the respect of his race.

“I’m sorry they kicked you out I’m sure one day they will regret it” Eitri laughed and stood up moving the semi transparent flattened red iron ingot to the side not caring much as he then pointed his dragon shaped hammer at Avrin “forget those old bastards right now let's see what sort of ingot you're going to make me with that enigmatic energy of yours” Eitri showed an almost eager look like a child who had just seen a new source of amusement.
