Hearing the creature's voice call out to him Avrin had an itching feeling that this would lead to an annoying situation, “Hm? What is it?” he spoke in a slight disgruntled voice.

The lizardman hearing the tone Avrin gave, became a little bit more nervous as it soon laughed with a hissing back vocal. “Esteemed customer, I was inquiring as to whether you would be willing to sell that spacial ring, I know an individual who would pay very very handsomely for one.”

Avrin considered some things, in the end all he needed was the skymetal, the ring itself held no value, he wasn't dumb, most likely if he declined it would lead to some greedy trouble, he began to consider things. “This individual, if they are capable of opening it than I would like to choose one item from the spacial ring, that will be my cost.”

Quickly severing any future issues, this was a path Avrin planned to set early, there are many times where being to much of a statue in one's stance would lead to trouble, and this trouble would also possibly be found out by an individual he would not like to meet.

It also brought the possibility of obtaining the sky metal earlier, it was a win win for Avrin, what use would he have for a spacial ring that required mana, with his ability in dark matter a spacial storage space would eventually become an easy reality.

The lizardman was elated as he rubbed his scaly hands together before his lips curled into a smile revealing his serrated teeth. “Excellent esteemed customer! I am sure you have business to attend to, please accept this.”

The creature reached into a pocket inside its vest before pulling out a small stone emblem with the symbol of a great axe being held by the silhouette of a bulky humanoid, it handed the symbol to Avrin and spoke.

“The potential buyer, to my knowledge, will return in a few hours. I will head over to their estate beforehand to explain the situation, please when the time reaches 9:00pm make your way to the fortress home built into the mountain in the middle of this capital, show the symbol to the guards and say you have been summoned by Chieftain Giron.

Avrin simply nodded before he gazed at the symbol he had taken and soon left, “-Giron?, where have I heard that name before.-” He contemplated some things before gazing at a time dial on the wall of a small monument, “-5:00pm I still have quite a bit of time-” With that said Avrin made his way around to take in the sights.

He had been walking for 5 minutes before a sound he had been hearing often grew louder, this was the sound of people cheering with a frenzied feeling in their voices. Avrin extended his divine sense and soon discovered the source, he of course was not surprised.

A large circular arena with thousands of people seated about watching combatants fight each other on a dirt floor, gladiatorial combat at its most primitive form, although it seemed to minus the killing. It just goes to show that regardless of these creature's beastial nature the romans held a bit less care and craved blood even more so.

It would be a shame for Avrin not to admire the sights personally and see what the beastmen were capable of, so he made his way over and soon payed the toll of one gold coin to enter.

The price seemed a bit steep, then again when fighting with potentially one's life on the line the combatants had to be compensated fairly, one could tell all those viewing were of some status.

Taking a seat on the third level of benches, the arena was quite large spanning nearly 150 meters.

On each side in a circle were benches where one could barely find any free seats, the crowd began to roar with excitement as they watched a large bear humanoid fighting against a much smaller yet much more agile individual who resembled a skinny leopard.

As much as the bear was powerful, with his fists causing the ground to tremble, the leopard creature seemed to be easily able to dodge and backflip away.

It seemed like a perfect stalemate, even as the leopard creature was slashing away at the bear man’s back, its claws barely seemed to do anything other than shave away at some hair. “You slippery bastard, see if I don't crush you to dust!!” The bear man roared with anger as his eyes turned somewhat bloodshot.

The leopard’s expression twisted but before it could reply, weapons were thrown into the arena with an assortment of designs. It quickly rushed over and gripped onto a set of serrated daggers, the leopard man snickered as it soon spoke, “crush me?... I'm gonna gut you before that happens hahaha”

It soon charged the bear creature whose eyes narrowed, it quickly smashed the ground with all its might causing it to tremble, of course the leopard creature who was close had two options: One was to stumble due to the attack causing the ground to shake which would make it lose balance. The other option was to jump up and attack, of course this meant it would sacrifice agility for a moment.

The leopard chose the latter as it jumped up, its legs acting like a spring as it came crashing down towards the bear with the serrated daggers set forward to stab it.

Of course the bear creature snickered, it had expected as much from the leopard, this was a sacrifice it was willing to make. It raised its large paw-like hand and as the daggers stabbed into its large arm, causing blood to splurt out, it tightened its muscles causing the metal weapons to be stuck.

The leopard's eyes widened and attempted to pull, of course this was a mistake on its behalf, if it had let go it may have escaped unharmed. The bear creature's free paw came smashing towards the leopard who seemed to be stuck trying to pull the daggers out of the bear man's muscle fibres.

The sound of bones cracking and breaking echoed as a figure smashed across the ground like a soccer ball as it rolled for a few meters before remaining still, the bloody figure twitched every now and then.

This was of course the leopard who had been blindsided by the bearman, the crowd roared with enthusiasm to this fight, as long as blood was drawn how could it not be exciting.

As two other beastmen who seemed to be medics came and took the leopard away on a wooden stretcher, the bearman grabbed the daggers stuck in his arm by the hilts before pulling them out, his expression flickering for a moment, he than raised both his arms into the air and gave a heavy roar.

An announcer soon spoke out. “And again!!! The bear brute Tutan remains on an undefeated streak of 8 now!! It seems at this rate only the current champion will be able to potentially put an end to his reign!!!”

With the prospect of seeing the current unknown champion and the bear Tutan fight the crowd shrieked with excitement, of course Avrin didn't seem to think this was all that much, only a battle between expert individuals. Thankfully he could leave as he pleased, if this fight were to continue on he would rather engross himself in his inner workings rather than watch the fight.

“Is anyone willing to fight the current undefeated Tutan and advance to the finals to defeat the champion to win one of three prizes!!! Bring them in!!” The announcer spoke out before three large curtain covered cages were brought in.

The excited crowd was even more frenzied before going quiet to listen in as to what the prizes were. “The first prize a chest which contains a large amount of riches equalling up to 10,000 gold worth of items!!” The crowd was awed, even for the high tiered nobles of the beastmen tribe that much gold was at least a decade's worth of expenses.

The crowd yet again roared and whispered to each other to goad others into fighting. The next curtain was drawn down and the announcer again spoke. “The next prize is a large chunk of, ladies and gentlemen you know it, a unique level ore!!! This was found by Chieftan Giron himself!!! And decided to put it into the prize pool!! It is large enough to forge a powerful weapon!!”

How could the crowd who was filled with beastmen who craved fighting not go crazy over the prospect of potentially having a weapon of such strength, there were many who considered rushing down to steal it, of course after hearing the Chieftain found it and donated it, no one would dare do so.

“The next prize although the least valuable is still a unique undocumented creature!!!,“ The curtain was pulled down to reveal a dirty and very skinny horse looking creature with a dirty and dusty white mane around its neck and skinny boney hooves.

It was currently laid down as if it had no energy and cared not for anyone there, of course it had barely noticeable blue lines from under the mane on its neck down to its seemingly damaged tail, it had several wounds showing that it hadn't received much care.

Although the crowd was excited those who were excited seemed to be all children, having such a potential pet would truly be a show to brag about to their friends, of course someone noticed something strange about this miserable creature.

Avrin gazed at it strangely, the creature was unlike anything he had ever seen on seleria, in fact gazing at it carefully a delighted feeling appeared in Avrins heart. This creature no doubt resembles a mythical creature in ancient east asian mythology, “-Is that a kirin?-”

Of course Avrin looked carefully at the miserable creature, his divine sense soon extended out towards it, but the moment it touched the kirins body, the kirins eyes flickered as it lifted its head and gazed over towards Avrins direction. It opened its mouth and gave a miserable cry. One could tell it barely had any energy as it tried to shout and shriek to none other than Avrin.

Avrin’s brow twitched a little. The creature seemed to notice his divine sense, it made him curious, of course looking at how it seemed to shriek towards him, the announcer kicked the cage as he tried to shut it up. “Damnit you ugly thing be quiet!!..” He then cleared his throat and shouted out.

“Who is willing to take on the undefeated Tutan for a chance to take his position and fight the champ!! This would save the trouble of working one's way up again!!!.” Avrin thought curiously before he gave a half hearted smile. “-Well not like I have a choice, this is obviously a sign of sorts.-”

Avrin stood up before he jumped up and soon landed on the dusty arenas ground, his body still robed, he gazed over towards the announcer and Tutan, “ooo!! We have a challenger and what name do you have courageous challenger!?”

“Cut the crap and just get the fight started.” Avrin spoke clearly having no intention to reveal anything about himself. Tutan hearing this gave a hearty laugh as he stepped towards Avrin, “haha this insect is funny I like him, I don't need to have my wound healed to take care of this rodent…Let’s fight.”

The announcer who found Avrin’s attitude irritating heard Tutan and then chuckled and nodded. “Well then ladies and gentlemen the match shall begin!! Both contestants are ready!! In 3….2…..1….begin!” The announcer roared out as he ran off to not get caught in the fight.

Tutan came charging towards Avrin as his hands emitted a fierce green aura showing he augmented himself a little with his nature affinity mana, he seemed to want to end this fight quickly.

Avrin pulled his left fist back before giving a casual punch towards Tutan, he also didn't want to drag this fight out. The punch he sent seemed to crack and split the air as a powerful force shot out towards Tutan who seemed to freeze in shock.

The force smashed against his body blowing him away and smashing him against the end of the arena's walls, of course the crowd at that section had already fled in fear, the portion of the arena was now ruined with a twitchy Tutan laying unconscious.

Everything remained quiet for a moment, no one knew what had just happened, they saw Avrin give a casual punch towards Tutan and then Tutan went flying, only one thing came to their mind.

“A hidden expert” the crowd grew crazy at the show of strength. The announcer who was irritated before by Avrin was now fearful and thanking his lucky stars that he didn't aggravate Avrin, he made his way over nervously and shouted.

“W...Well!! Tutan has been defeated by this mysterious contestant who uh...is supposedly a hidden powerful expert!!! This astonishing simple victory has given him Tutan’s position to fight the current champion!!”

Avrin gazed at a large dial as he looked at the time, barely an hour had passed since he had left the store, it gave him time to put this to an end and win. “Next fight I got things to do…” Avrin spoke with annoyance.

The announcer looked at Avrin and nodded. “It seems like our mysterious contestant wants to quickly fight the champion!!! Let's abide by his wish, Lord luzar please come out!!”

The moment the announcer stopped talking, a large metal gate lifted up and large creature made its way towards Avrin, it seemed to look annoyed, but Avrin’s eyes widened as he truly wanted to laugh at this creature's misfortune, this was because his opponent was the draconian Luzar who had disappeared after Avrin defeated the dragon Wruen.

Luzar held a sort of flagon of some sort of wine in his right hand as he drank it while glaring fiercely at Avrin, clearly he didn’t know he was anything other than a contestant, “You want to fight me? The great Luzar?!!! You truly seek to die…”

Luzar boasted out and emitted a large pressure which even caused the crowd to be afraid, Avrin could see Luzar grew quite stronger, he almost pitied the creature, Avrin looked to the announcer. “Start the fight.” The announcer was shocked at how confident Avrin seemed, He couldn't help but feel the moment he started the fight that a massacre would befall.

“O..Ok!! It seems both our current champion the great Luzar who appeared suddenly several months back and dominated the arena as well as the mysterious expert who defeated the expert rank Tutan in one blow are ready to fight.!!”

Luzar walked over to Avrin as he seemed to tower over him, Luzar glanced down before taking a drink of the flagon of wine as he sniffed the air, he had a strange feeling. “Hmm this smell…” he looked at Avrin strangely. “Hey...Why can't I feel you're mana?...”

Avrin truly wasn't sure whether to torment the poor creature or just end it and leave, of course he wasn't one to purposely torment a creature without good reason so he decided he would just end it easily.

“3….2…” While the announcer spoke Avrin raised his head up to look at Luzar, and Luzar gazed back as he saw Avrin’s face, Avrin’s nebula mist twisted a little as he changed his appearance back to the original appearance of his spectral from, the moment Luzar saw this face, he wanted to truly piss himself.

“1…..begi-” Before the announcer spoke Luzar howled in fear. “I FORFEIT!!! I FORFEIT I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT THIS MAN!!” With that said Luzar turned tail and fled with his tail between his legs as he even dropped his flagon with fright.

If Avrin was capable of killing his master, a powerful dragon created by a god, then what chance did he have. Avrin although expected as much as he smirked before his face reverted back to his human appearance, the crowd of course was shocked, and even the announcer was left speechless.. “Ladies...And gentlemen the winner is the mysterious expert, our champion has forfeited?....Uhh!! This means we have a new champion!!!”

The crowd though looked disappointed as they began to boo, they hadn't seen any battle as they expected this fight to be top notch, but were let down. “What sort of bullshit is this!!” One buffalo looking creature blurted out. “Rigged!! I'm sure this match was rigged!!!” Another creature that resembled an armadillo spoke out.

And soon the entire crowd began to throw things towards the arena hitting the announcer on the head as well as Avrin. Of course Avrin looked at them all, he didn't hesitate as he emitted his phantom pulse engulfing the entire crowd as a pressure pulled down on them. He then spoke. “Next person to throw something at me….will find their family won't even find their corpse to bury…”

The phantom pulse made them all look in fear and agony, this sort of fear that they hadn't even felt during Luzars matches, they could see why he surrendered. Immediately Avrin removed the phantom pulse and the crowd remained deathly quiet in fear for a few moments before they began to speak to each other wondering how powerful Avrin was exactly.

Avrin looked to the announcer for a moment before walking over towards the three cages that were guarded at the very right side, the guards of the cages didn't dare block Avrin, of course the announcer nervously rushed over.

“New champion!! Since you have won, you can pick your prize of the three! I'm sure you are after the second prize, the unique level ore that Chieftan Giron had managed to find.”

Avrin ignored him as he walked over to the third cage and looked over at the kirin that began to howl in misery as if calling out to its parent. Avrin grinned a little, he suddenly contemplated something, if he could find creatures that held great potential and mystery and showed loyalty to him, wouldn't his race of spectrals eventually become unstoppable over time?

With his ability to convert creatures to his race and unlock limitless potential for as long as they worked hard, just where could this end, and with him at the helm many possibilities came across his mind.

A strange surge of anger appeared in his mind. “-I'll surely find a way back to my universe and slaughter those that set me up…-” Avrin truly wanted revenge on certain individuals. He felt at first it may have been impossible to travel back, but with his future capabilities, if he played his cards right and was careful, just how many beings of power could combat him?

“Give me this creature….” Avrin spoke softly, the announcer was shocked as he looked over at the miserable kirin. “Uhh...Mister champion, are you sure?...To be honest this creature we aren't sure about...We had another creature to put here but it was purchased by a private buyer for a great price, we had no choice but to put this creature here because it looked good but it looks pretty useless to me…”

The announcer kicked the cage again as he looked at the kirin with disdain, as he kicked the cage the kirin shrieked in misery. This made Avrin angry as he saw him torment it, a dangerous aura engulfed him, “Kick that cage again, I will cut that leg off…” Looking at the announcer who was now shaking with fear he quickly bowed in apology, before reaching over with a key and nervously opening the cage.

After the cage door opened, the weak looking kirin seemed excited as he stood up despite looking malnourished it seemed to have some strength. It looked up at Avrin seemingly as obedient as a dog, Avrin looked at it strangely, he hadn't met this thing before yet it seemed determined to follow him for some reason.

“Very well, I will take you, you better prove useful to me…” He spoke towards it as if he felt it was supposed to understand him. The kirin with its tongue hanging out a little quickly nodded its head as it seemed a little dumb suddenly.

Avrin twitched before speaking, “Let’s go.” Looking at the kirin he began to walk off and soon the kirin followed, its legs began to shake as it could barely take a step or two, it saw Avrin get further and further away and it suddenly shrieked feeling he would leave it behind.

“Are you joking?...” Avrin turned to look at the creature and saw it truly was weakened. He felt his face turn pale as he walked over to it and sighed, He reached down and grabbed the creature carrying it in his arms, he then turned and walked off, of course the kirin seemed ecstatic as it looked around before gazing at the announcer, it seemingly hissed and growled towards him as if he were its nemesis.

The announcer could do nothing but force a smile as Avrin began to walk off, “Mister champion your next match should be-..” As the announcer spoke up Avrin interrupted. “I'm not coming back nor am I your champion.. Don't bother me.” Avrin soon vanished using a void step to quickly cover the distance out of the arena and away from the whispering crowd.

Avrin made his way over towards a tavern inn and as he entered he saw that many adventurers were laughing and drinking, though when he entered with the kirin in his hands everyone stopped talking and strangely looked at him.

Soon laughter rung out as they pointed and laughed at him as if he were a saint carrying an injured animal, of course Avrin ignored them and walked to the counter. “I’d like to rent a room for the night. “ He spoke, looking at the innkeeper who looked at Avrin than at the kirin he cleared his throat. “Sir we don't accept injured animals or pets in our rooms…”

Avrin of course knew how to play the game set here, he reached over and placed 4 gold coins on the counter. The innkeepers heart was beating crazily as he nearly drooled. “Of course sir!! Would you like the vip suite or one of the larger rooms?” His expression changed as he saw Avrin as important suddenly.

“Just give me a room where I won't be bothered.” After speaking the innkeeper nodded and gave him a key with a room and then smiled. “breakfast will be served at 7:00am lunch at 2:00pm and dinner at 6:00pm of course for you sir customer you can eat free since you have paid quite a sum so ignore those times and eat as you please.”

Avrin nodded and began to walk off towards the staircase, the inn itself seemed quite large and there were several staircases leading to different stories of the inn, though as Avrin approached the one that led to his room a hand reached over and touched his shoulder. “Hey you….I'm allergic to...fur...how are you going to compensate me…” A seemingly fake sneeze sounded out, Avrin turned around to look at a tiger-like creature who was no doubt drunk as he held a mug of alcohol in his hands.

Of course, after he spoke laughter sounded out from a nearby table no doubt from his friends. Avrin gave the creature a strange look, if he walked off it would cause trouble, if he paid it, it would irritate him, so he decided to simply handle the situation. He raised his free left hand as the kirin looked at the tiger creature and growled at it before seeing Avrin’s hand nearing the tigers face.

“Huh?...You got money in that hand? Heheh..*burp!*“ The creature gazed at Avrin’s hand with interest hoping to get paid, but what met it was a flick to its forehead. The flick was quite powerful and soon the tiger creature was blown away several meters and smashed onto the table of its friends.

The entire inn remained quiet as they looked at the tiger than at Avrin, they all had pale looks, with just a flick he had caused all this, just how powerful was he. Of course the tiger’s friends felt disdain in their hearts and pulled out their weapons but the innkeeper roared out.

“If you fight in this inn I will ban you!” The innkeeper shouted towards the group, they looked at the innkeeper then at Avrin before twitching, they were going to ignore him but gazing around they saw the other looks of the adventurers, they all loved this inn because of the cheap prices and good food, if anyone caused trouble no doubt they would step in.
