“Don’t be dumb, everyone knows you have to walk before you run. Just because Astaroths full potential can split celestial bodies in half with ease it doesn’t mean you can’t limit it to be as strong as a dull scythe. Slowly release the limit, as you progressed your emotions during that attack, it helped fuel the weapon without a limiter and caused it to attack in such a way. But you're lucky I stepped in and stopped it from getting bigger.”
God notioned towards the attack, if he had not used his power the wave of dark matter would have kept on growing, devouring the mana of the universe towards the end of time. “That attack is dangerous for you right now, don’t use it again and when you gain experience in using that weapon you will be able to remove the devouring ability of it and only leave the attack itself.”
Silent and looking at the miniature Seleria Avrin felt it was still the only way to stop the tornado and this was confirmed by god. “But you did well, in one timeline you miss your mark and the energy wave splits Seleria in two ha-ha.”
Avrins face went green at the thought of that, it felt like a joke but a warning as well towards Avrin. “Don’t worry in all the other timelines that’s the worst case scenario. Oh yeah it seems you caused quite a stir towards the other gods.”
Avrin was confused at first before he realised what he had done “they found me because of that?” he spoke nervously. He knew he wasn’t ready to deal with them. “That’s right in fact the one called Ishana set you up before this, she is indeed a crafty one and intended to kill you right away without taking risks. I guess it’s my fault though.”
Avrin was confused about what had happened so God to blame himself “um?” Avrin spoke wanting to know, God of course satisfied his curiosity, “I made it so no god would be able to see you within a certain distance, of course I guess this made them curious as to why they can’t and felt it was some evil or something like that hehehehe.”
God seemed to make light of the situation but Avrin was fuming inside “y..you almost got me killed because of that….” Avrin whispered carefully not to raise his temper at God.
“Don’t worry” after second of being quiet, God spoke “and it’s done, all the gods have completely forgotten about you Lenaya still thinks that little gift of hers hasn’t been activated. If any of their servants ask them they will only be confused and think they are being messed with and they won’t be able to detect any disturbance or energy imbalance you cause he-he”
Avrin thought “wouldn’t it be easier for you to make everyone I know forgot about me other then the people I’m with now?” Avrin spoke as if trying to suggest a hidden favor. God only snickered.
“I know your intentions boy, although I am limiting myself you're still as transparent as water in a glass cup. Besides you would one day regret it if I did so. So for now just continue to become stronger”
Avrin nodded as he thought “my body isn’t doing so well….how long will it take to recover?” God smiled “then I’ll take that as your favor all healed cya!” Avrin immediately understood he had just been cheated “no wait that’s not fai-..” in a near instant his eyes opened as he stood up and looked around his body seemingly healed completely as if nothing had happened although the blood on his clothes still present. “D..Dammit he cheated me “
Avrin spoke while laughing to himself. “Master your healed already!!” Asura came through the side behind him several people dressed in medical attire. “Ah what a waste and here I thought these humans could help.. Master you’re too strong…”
Avrin stood up and fixed the tightness of his mask a bit “you lazy creature where were you when things were looking dim….” Asura was quiet as his stomach rumbled he mumbled. “Damn I just ate 5 minut… I mean I wa” Avrin glared through his mask. “Forget it you sinful cat” he spoke in a joking manner.
“It's all done I doubt anyone other than me could of done anything anyway…” he remembered Gods advice carefully he would have to be careful he doubted God would make them forget again. A sudden knock on the open door caused them both to turn around and gaze to see Gregson make his way past the medical team that seemed shocked and frozen at Avrins recovery ability.
“Magnificent Avrin your ability is much, much more than I expected. Without a doubt you are one of the most powerful warriors I have ever seen. To dissipate a mana tornado…that attack of yours is truly frightening, your weapon as well that scythe is menacing...all the sigil weapons are accounted for I can only assume it is something crafted so finely by the dwarfs using dragon flame?...”
Avrin was silent before nodding “you could say that it was a gift” lying through his teeth. Gregson chuckled his mind at ease he didn’t have to worry about another tornado forming to him Avrin would step in again.
“We have already turned back to reach the central continent, we will reach it in 3 days so until then feel free to do as you please. Will you not at least reconsider dinner tonight?...” Gregson spoke trying to through in one last pitch for luck.
Avrin was silent and sighed giving in “very well I will attend tonight so for now I would like to clean up.” Gregson nodded, noticing the blue blood stains of course he didn’t dare question or provoke a being he underestimated who could easily tear this ship in two. “Very well if you need me I will be with the magi Tyrin and lady Karina. “
Avrin nodded and Gregson left. Looking at the ground Avrin saw what Gregson’s curious last intentions were, he spoke “Asura I’m sure I left a trail of blood I want it all gone….” Avrin was on high alert after Gods warning although he wasn’t sure if anyone was capable of using it for ill intentions he didn’t want it to be used for anything other than his own purpose.
This was blue blood from him and the blood itself leaked a bit of dark matter. “Leave it to me master, not one drop will escape my scent.” Asura left to go handle it while Avrin quickly stripped after shutting the door until he was naked from head to toe.
Using the nebula mist he engulfed the entire room as well as the mask and his clothing before re-condensing it into a ball leaving the room spotless as if a bloodied body hadn’t even came by.
The condensed ball of mist reformed and shaped into a new set of clothes that was neatly folded with the mask on top. With Avrins boost in strength reforming things of high quality had become much easier a task.
As he placed the clothes on the bed to separate them he heard the door handle turn to open as well as a female voice “lord Avri-....” the door was opened and holding onto the door handle gazing at Avrins naked body was the scarlet beauty lady Karina.
Avrin blinked dumbfounded and intensely annoyed but still frozen “-knock….why don’t they knock!” Karinas face turned a crimson red as she eyed Avrins crotch before she quickly closed the door slamming it shut before the sound of her metal clad boots sounded out down the hall before it vanished.
“Hmph….I'll deal with her later…” with his eye twitching in irritation. Avrin quickly put on his newly formed set of clothes as well as the white mask. Of course he left the cloak off and began to exercise from push-ups to sit ups as well as methods developed over the centuries of Earths advancement.
Several hours later he had entered a pulsing dragon state to feel for his body to see if anything had changed. Other than the worrying joyful aura Astaroth gave off, nothing had changed. Leaving his room Avrin headed down to continue his sightseeing of the vessel.
Tyrin quickly met up with Avrin and smiled “l..lord Avrin remarkable, your power is incredibly remarkable!! “ Avrin sighed at the endless praise he was receiving. Later he would rather keep it low key as if this spread he would not hear the end of it.
“Tyrin I would appreciate it for now if things were kept to a hush, I do not want to reveal myself and abilities yet.” Tyrin was quiet before nodding in agreement “I also agree lord Avrin if the demons or beast tribe knew we had a second power matching a sigil wielder no doubt they would act. Also lord Avrin…”
Tyrin pulled out a vial an inch long and half a inch wide that had a thick blue liquid inside of it. Avrin knew quickly what it was. Tyrin spoke “your blood, I was examining it and I can't detect mana in it...I can't feel anything other than the weird other worldly aura it emits, its almost scary. I hope you will allow me to continue to research this?”
Although Avrin was annoyed that he took a sample of his blood he was grateful that he at least went to seek permission. In a swift movement Avrins right hand vanished with great speed snatching the vial from Tyrin hand that made him blink and step back in shock and surprise as well as fear.
Avrin spoke softly “Tyrin as good of a person as I have seen you are. Some things are better left unnoticed, please do not attempt to research anything to do with me without my permission.” Avrin spoke in a tone that was more then enough to warn.
Tyrin sweated and quickly bowed knowing he was no match for the monster he had seen before “p..please forgive my actions lord Avrin.” Avrin nodded “no need to act in fear I am only covering my trail I will be attending tonight's dinner I will have some questions then. Until then would you happen to know if there’s an armory or a black smith on this ship?..”
Tyrin was surprised at Avrins change of heart but even more so at his question, he nodded. “o..of course for repairs and such please follow me” after some time passed, Avrin was gazing around the large open room that was layered with metal the furnace of the blacksmith was surprisingly large and the room was kept tidy with several people working and repairing armor and weaponry.
Avrins eyes lit up like a child in a candy store as he looked at the raw ore as well as ingots and many hammers and tools used. One would think a blacksmith used a couple of tools, a hammer, tongs, etc. But if you paid attention you would see there was much more. Several types of hammers, light hitter, heavy hitter and a hammer with a curved shaft to get that perfect side hit that won't ruin the metal.
Many things that would help detail and make the best armor possible with those tools. There was no such thing as a blacksmith who half assed things because of the difficulty of the job, one had to have a passion to take on the task.
Avrin was quiet as Tyrin looked on. “Lord Avrin it seems you are fond of this craft I will leave you to it. I will make sure you are allowed anything here.” Avrin wasted no time walking over to an empty corner bench as he began to start to improve his own skill.
Many hours passed and the blacksmith had gotten quiet, only a single hammer constantly pounding sometimes hard, sometimes soft thuds, sometimes the sound of hot metal touching water sounded out.
Around Avrins bench all the smiths were watching with tranced eyes, impressed and somewhat jealous at Avrins ability. 14 ingots of iron with a 90% perfected ingot form. Grand masters would be able to reach that 100% but it isn’t to say that this % isn’t impressive in itself. There were only a handful of grand master blacksmiths, all of them dwarfs and only 1 in the central continent.
One of the blacksmiths spoke “damn….who would of thought lord Avrin is a highly skilled blacksmith and here I thought the higher-ups only sipped on tea and ate cake ha-ha.” Avrin smiled at this stereotype, it was quite funny and he hadn’t seen many nobles so he wasn’t at all sure if it even was a stereotype.

Beside the 4 iron ingots were a pile of 8 steel ingots with a 91% perfected formation rate. With every ingot Avrin improved it usually took hundreds upon hundreds of piles of ore before one would improve but Avrin had many things going for him.
Several more hours passed before he was complete. 21 iron ingots between 90-96% perfection form. 17 steel ingots 90-92% perfection form as well as 19 copper ingots with an astonishing 98-100% perfection form.
The higher quality didn’t necessarily mean the harder it was to form. Every metal needed to be mastered perfectly. Forming a hard steel ingot needed strength and focus. Forming a copper ingot required a delicate control of strength as well as precision since it was a weaker metal.
As a blacksmith improves his muscle strength he has to readjust his strength to form the ores he once attended to, that being said one could say as long as one improved they could never master a single ore perfectly, mainly because there improvement required them to readjust themselves to it.
Before long 2 attendants came to see Avrin for dinner. Without his cloak on Avrin sat polishing the ingots he had made, not only him but also the other blacksmiths joined in to help. He had after all saved them a lot of trouble and even gave them quality ingots they had been training for years upon years but never capable to achieve results like this.
Clearing his throat the first attendant spoke “lord Avrin dinner will be served in 5 minutes would you like to bathe first before attending?..”
Avrin stopped and looked around seemingly broken from his enjoyment. His motivation was one day forging sky-metal instead of experiencing the pain of absorbing it and even making a pen name for him and selling his wares to see how well he could do with his abilities.
“It’s fine I’ll be there soon“ he spoke, the attendants nodded and gave him directions. As Avrin was about to leave the blacksmiths all looked and nodded in appreciation and respect and some even asking him to come back and help them out sometime.
Emitting a soft thin layer of nebula mist over his body the mist itself disintegrated and ate away at all the dirty that had covered his skin lately the fire and effort in smithing wasn’t enough to make someone of his stamina sweat so he was good in that department but he made sure this thin coat of nebula mist emitted over his clothing to eat away at the dust and soot that gathered.
Some people that saw this were a little worried as they saw him glowing faintly and immediately stepped aside thinking he was angry.
Before long Asura found Avrin by scent and was walking beside him “master I heard the nobles eat food that’s incredibly tasty, I cant wait!!” pursing his lips Avrin then replied “Asura when we reach the central continent I’m going to have you train enough to make you lose weight so enjoy your fill while it lasts he-he.“
Avrin spoke in a way that was both joke-full and threatening at the same time that made Asura realise maybe he did eat a lot, “he-he sorry master have mercy.” Before entering Avrin knew it would be weird to attend in the same clothes he was wearing all day so when he and Asura were alone he engulfed them both in nebula mist and changed the design on their clothes.
Now showing white and gold instead of black the hood also was thicker so one would think the mask was apart of the outfit. His outfit looked more elegant and noble like. Asura on the other hand barely looked different in the fact that he looked scary and towering.
The two attendants saw Asura and Avrin recognizing them both and were somewhat impressed by their clothing fit for a noble and even a king. they opened the large door in the hallway that was decorated as if it weren’t even on a vessel.
Inside the interior of the room was surprisingly good with a chandelier as well as a long dining table with tyrin and Gregson already seated. “Ah lord Avrin lord Asura I’m thankful you have joined us tonight. Lady Karina will arrive shortly with her lieutenants.”
Avrin took a seat that was moved for him by an attendant while Asura sat beside him. The table itself was covered in a white cloth that seemed to be finely sewn. The table and chairs seemed crafted of high quality wood and lacquered gracefully.
“How could I not attend after being asked so many times “ Avrin spoke in a tone that one wouldn’t know if he was joking or annoyed but Tyrin replied softly “ha-ha I apologize Avrin but Gregson truly wanted you to attend how could I not assist a friend.”
Gregson nodded “indeed it’s as Tyrin says.” Avrin I wanted to discuss some things while Karina isn’t here. “They all began to speak on friendly terms without the lord honorific, thinking right now it was wasting effort.
“What would that be?” Avrin curiously asked. “Will you not reconsider my proper offer with your power you will surely be a high figure in humanities army no less then king Leo Zircus” Tyrin didn’t intervene in such words, as the truth was already a fact.
“No thank you the offer I proposed is one I like, I am not familiar with the current army humanity has and would find it more enjoying to start from the bottom and make my way up.”
Gregson grinned as he placed his elbows on the table and chuckled “Avrin surely someone such as yourself is a one man army what could anyone other than a dragon or sigil wielder hope to accomplish facing you.”
Avrin felt he wasn’t off the mark “for me its not about combat situations but more so understanding the armies structure. A general is only as good as his subordinates. Where I am from a philosopher called sun Tzu reaffirmed this.”
He began to explain the story of Sun Tzu and the art of warfare. ((A.N I have to book of the art of warfare mainly for spectral regalia so I can understand things if you are interested to what story he is explaining http://journeyeast.tripod.com/suntzu.html))
Both Tyrin and Gregson’s faces turned pale and then the green Gregson spoke “t...truly this Sun Tzu man is someone of great intelligence….humanity could learn much from him….” he spoke in complete respect.
Avrin had to learn a lot ever since he was a general just because the space age had come it didn’t mean lessons of the past couldn’t be assimilated. At that moment the doors opened and an attendant spoke “Lady Karina with her lieutenants have arrived. “ Karina in an elegant blue crystal dress accompanied by a female also in a dress and a male in a noble outfit made their way bowing in respect with prideful looks on their faces.
“I apologize if we are late..” she spoke softly before making her way to her seat she snuck a glance at Avrin before going a deep red and shutting her eyes for a moment as if trying to suppress the hot steamy figure that she had seen.
Avrin only frowned a bit but was at least glad she didn’t tell anyone he had to have some point of respect for this soldier. “All is well lady Karina. Now that we are all here let the feast begin” with a clap of his hand the food began to flow out, of course the one excited the most was Asura who barely kept himself from salivating.
With talk about the state of the world as well as events of the elven continent and what each group had discovered from Gregson’s battalion, to the rose blades the conversation turned to Avrin.
Karina spoke first “Avrin it is finally good to have a chance to talk to you. Gregson has boasted highly of your skills and I was not disappointed you are surely a force to be reckoned with I do hope an offer has been set for you?”
Gregson chuckled “Karina don’t bother Avrin is like an immovable object not budging, as for our deal unfortunately he made me promise to not reveal it.” Karina frowned a bit and added jokingly “oh but is royalty not permitted?” she grinned and Gregson laughed knowing she was joking.
Asura gouging himself on food was quiet and they continued to speak surprisingly Avrin didn’t speak much even when asked questions he remained silent and mysterious other than yes’s and no’s.
The night went on without a hitch, God didn’t just make the gods forget but Gillian as well as Tyrin had forgotten about some things as well Gillian about the lies and the event and meeting with Ishana and Tyrin about Gillian contact during it all.
As the night went on 3 days seemingly passed, well in those 3 days Avrin had reserved a sparring room and sealed it off while he practiced with the extremely limited Astaroth. He had figured out by willing it he could place a limiter on the weapon that wouldn’t break unless he purposely forced it off and the weapon would not resist this limiter.
Avrin had learned that Astaroth was an incredibly agile weapon despite its size. The blade seemed to cut through the air as well as the mana that made up that air a truly terrifying weapon. While spending these few days training
A voice echoed across the ship using a magical enchantment as if being spoken through a speaker. “Prepare to land we have reached the central continent the port city of Lumiria!!”
Stopping his training Avrin was sweating a bit, he had made sure not to waste any time doing nothing such as sleeping or resting. He had been training 3 days straight without any breaks not even when he wanted to do some blacksmithing.
He made sure to tell Asura to stop and inform the 3 higher ups not to bother him, that way he could maximize his time. Wearing nothing but pants Avrins nebula mist as if sentient immediately removed the sweat, dirt and grime from his body “I still think it would be nice to have a bath “ he spoke to himself with a soft smile.
“Master come out already I’m bored lets go lets go!!” Asura seemed excited, Avrin had even developed a unique sense during his training session. By sending a faint static of dark matter out he could use the mana particles as conduits and allow him to feel the presence of everyone around him.
For this advancement 300 meters was his limit although he was able to augment his eye, this sense was a double safety measure. Making his way up seeing the commotion of the crew prepare Avrin finally made his way up to greet the ocean air, as it touched his skin it was a somewhat refreshing feeling.
But what caught his attention was the large city ahead in front of the vessel with several ships beside it going back and forth trade, military, fishing, and civilian. All sorts. “Welcome to the central continent Avrin.”
Gregson spoke as he walked beside him “training hard I can already see you have gotten stronger by your presence.” Avrin felt Gregson was using instinct or just trying to get points with Avrin.
“When we arrive is there anything I need to take care of?” Gregson nodded “I would prefer if you came to the capital with me that way we can handle what you like better. I have also been informed that you are fond of blacksmithing and apart from the dwarves the human capital boasts the second best blacksmith shop.”
Avrin nodded “very well “ a smile adorning him under his mask there was much he wanted to do and see what humanity was like what had they accomplished he would find out soon.
