Evening!. So everything has been going smoothly, and i feel as if releasing this would only be fair for you guys. That being said some of you may feel the pacing is a little quick in regards to this, but i have plans to get back to the story of certain individuals as things progress past a certain point.

There isn't much i have to say really, i'm just looking forward to testing myself for when i take that step into the universe with Avrin.

Please enjoy

-------------------

“What is he doing?...He’s been at it for nearly 7 months!” glancing down into the mirror like pool of water Tialoc gave an odd expression as he glanced between Avrin and Limos which was covered by Sarcanus. Beside him Septim and Zephiron also watched curiously. “Possibly something to do with those god essence fragments he formed, just make sure to keep watching every now and then. What happens to this planet is none of our concern anymore, we will soon reap some great rewards” Septim spoke with a heavy, coarse tone that lightened the closer he got to thinking about the end results in regards to Avrin and his deal.

“Pfft...I don't think he can be trusted, his rate of progress is infuriating...” Zephiron muttered out in a near vengeful tone, though Mallaku who had just stepped into the hall had heard it and grinned as he replied, “Sounds to me that you might be jealous....hahaha if it wasn't for me and Tialoc you would have been cut in half, what a sight that would be...” Mallaku these past months had not let Zephiron go in regards to saving him, almost as if he wanted Zephiron to owe him.

“Shut your mouth....he simply snuck up on me!..” Zephiron’s expression twisted a little strangely as the thought of that moment when Avrin almost killed him still made him shiver with fear and anger.

“Enough! Watch, it seems a bug has found its way to him...”

Avrin by now was covered with snow to some degree, he hadn't budged an inch in these past few months, though the moment a snowflake touched the two god essence pieces, it would evaporate and be converted to dark matter. The entire summit of the mountain was now twisted to a small degree, the snow held a glowing purple hue signalling that so much mana had been drawn out and converted it had messed with the very makeup of the summit, to a degree that even purplish veins were forming under the point where Limos was located. These veins pulsed, emitting dark matter that would be absorbed by Sarcanus or dispersed into the surrounding snow.

Though the blizzard-like air soon grew more violent as a sharp sound of wings beating began to approach, a looming white shadow shot towards the mountain before smashing down, nearly dwarfing the summit. The creature that appeared was a large tri-horned dragon, its body was covered with white and blue scales showing this may infact be its habitat.

“Disgusting....to think that I can't sleep properly because someone dares to defile the mana in this area....” the dragon’s voice echoed out causing the summit to tremble, it was at this point that Avrin’s closed eyes slowly opened as he glanced casually at the dragon as if he had just found an ant.

The dragon looked at him then at Limos which it felt held a sort of corruptive look. It snarled at Limos before turning its attention back to Avrin. “You....you dare try to corrupt my land!...This is my territory demon!!! I will be sure to tear you to shreds!!!.”

Avrin grinned before he raised his hand and pointed his index finger towards the dragon, nebula mist softly surged out before forming into a sphere that seemed unstable, this sphere began to condense until it was no longer the size of a large bowling ball but now the size of a tennis ball. Suddenly the sphere began to quiver and the space around it trembling slightly, a ring of jet black dark matter formed around the sphere before Avrin willed it to move.

The dragon, that was carefully watching Avrin’s movements, felt that something was off. Its instincts told it to flee, and that is exactly what it did, not daring to underestimate Avrin, its wings began to beat heavily as it truly became afraid. The strange sphere with a ring of dark matter around it smashed against the chest of the dragon, the rings cutting through its flesh, embedding the sphere in the dragon's chest.

The dragon began to screech in agony as it was stopped from flying and even began to tumble down the summit causing a significantly large avalanche.

The sphere suddenly cracked and tendrils shot out from all sides as they began embedding themselves within its flesh as well as organs. As the tendrils spread, the dragon’s mana began to reform and reshape as it screeched in agony, the ring around the sphere which was used to cut a way in suddenly began to rotate at a rapid pace which caused the space to tremble even further, and soon it even seemed to form its own miniature gravitational field that was absorbing all the mana and flesh of the dragon after the veiny lines had stunned and taken control of it.

Avrin glanced casually in the distance with his divine sense, spreading it out to keep track of the progress of Sarcanus while ignoring the screeches and roars of pain that the dragon issued out. These painful roars and screeches lasted for only a minute before they died down, soon a pebble sized dark core flew up towards Avrin who extended his palm and caught the dark core, then glancing at it.

“-My conversion control is significantly better than before, it should be enough to pull this off. Avrin gave a soft glance, with his divine sense he could see the veins that spread from Sarcanus had completely spread from the lower mantle to the incredibly high temperature of the inner core, remaining completely unaffected by the intense heat.

The veins had also began to pump out excess dark matter that Sarcanus hadn’t absorbed. “It's almost time...” Avrin again spread his divine sense outward, he spotted everything, from the spectrals to Abbadon and his angels, from Syrana and Myra who were back in the south helping the humans, to Lilia and Driada who were currently visiting their father's gravestone carved from granite paying their respects.

He also spotted Kael and Amias as well as Larissa who had managed to find their families. Avrin was relieved to know that Gregson was alive, and Shimaru at the least was missing an arm most likely from a battle. He noted how Kael was currently glancing at a small makeshift estate within a city filled with humans. With Avrin’s strength and improvement it was easy for him to see that Kael was glancing from an alley and into a window, to look at his father and family.

Kael was currently covered from head to toe in simple black robes with a hood over his head, he had a strange, calm expression as he looked at the man that was his father, as well as his brother and sister.

He was within the southern port city, and the houses these nobles could get could only be so large as to fit everyone, the city itself had to house at least 60 million humans when its capacity was at most 20 million. One could tell in an instant that there would be many homeless individuals and the expense of things would be huge.

Kael looked to see his father's haggard, pale look, while his brother who appeared a little like him but more noble and prideful was arguing with his father. His sister who was somewhat beautiful wore a simple red dress as she had her hands in her lap, her shoulder length hair which was in a ponytail was as still as a rock showing she hadn't budged an inch.

Kael grinded his teeth a little as he wasn't sure what he should do, this was because he was currently listening to a conversation to do with him. “Father....please this is enough...I want to go find him myself...there is a chance he may still be alive....” Kael’s brother called Ashton spoke in an angry tone showing his dissatisfaction.

“Enough! I told you once and I'll tell you again...the situation is not as simple as you think!!....There are millions dead....and where would you even go to look!!” his father responded as he had truly neared his limits.

“It doesn't matter where I go....it's our fault that we have been so persistent in neglecting him...family is still family...I need to make things right especially in this situation.” Ashton calmed down which gave his sister Tessa time to speak.

“Father, elder brother is right, right now our family can no longer be considered noble...The king is dead and we have been drastically weakened, if we have any hope of recovering some status we need all the strength we could muster, from what you told us both years ago, Kael has grown quite strong due to his master, if this is truly the case then we need that strength..”

Sient, Kael's father, was pondering the matter, he stood up and walked over towards the table. Right now this house could be considered barely above average, they didn't have any guards of the sort as the price for this house alone was astronomical, even some nobles were homeless showing how dire humanity was.

Sient reached over towards a bottle of wine before reaching for a barely decent glass, he began to pour himself a cup before he found that the wine remaining was only enough for a quarter. He simply sighed as he felt his heart tighten with regret. “Our actions and arrogance have left us to suffer like this...everything taken away in an instant....our nobility, our home, our kingdom....the maid servant that helped raise you, Valina...” Sient truly would never forget the day when his head maid servant died due to a disease. She had given so much to his family though she and many hundreds of thousands were inflicted with on their travels, how could nobles who were pampered and always in high areas have resistance to dangerous diseases. They didn't even have enough to hire a healer to help cure her, and by the time they reached the aid of the elves Sient remembered his valina was already covered and wrapped in a shroud ready for burial.

Kael who was listening clenched his hand, his heart tightened as a tear rolled down his cheek, “Valina...please forgive me....if...if I was there sooner I could have saved you all and protected not just you but many others...”

Kael clenched his teeth as he glanced over at his family, his father truly looked as if he were on the verge of having a heart attack, though Kael truly wanted to convert his family, he knew Avrin imposed restrictions. Kael looked outside of the alley spotting many thousands of homeless lining the streets and corners, children crying and steam rising from pots that contained scraps of food and even some inedible things.

Kael glanced up and spoke softly. “Master.....these people need us....we can't let them suffer....the gods have abandoned them.....please let me help them!..” He truly hoped Avrin was listening, Kael understood how powerful Avrin’s divine sense had become but wasn't certain if it was spread or not, so the gamble was based on emotions pushing him to speak. Though Avrin was indeed listening, being able to hear conversations from not just Kael but everyone within his divine sense, he was currently stunned and shocked as this was something new to him, millions of voices resounding in his head, men, women, children, the elderly, the crying of babies, the crying of parents burying their children.

These people were in the past well off, but now their situation was even worse than the spectrals that he had converted. He was somewhat reluctant, right now was not a situation where he could save people freely, none of it wouldn't matter if Orphelium arrives and destroys everything in a heartbeat.

Avrin was quite unsure, there were 3 days before Orphelium entered this system, and it wouldn't take long for him to arrive to this planet, in his dark matter core, the green hue of light began to shine as if it had understood what Avrin was capable of, and what he needed to do. The green hue began to absorb dark matter and grow at a rapid pace, Avrin slowly opened his eyes as he felt this change.

This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

2 days ago he had finally achieved perfection with 100% in both c.particle and normal particles in type 12, his power had again boosted, and he had spent a majority of his time improving his conversion ability, he had faith he could achieve this, but he wasn't sure if this would cause a backlash. With every second he spent thinking, a second would continue on with many hundreds or thousands dying. Could he truly abandon these people, and if he converted them wouldn't he have to live knowing they were meant to be resources, wasn’t it leaving one’s fate of death and living a potential lie of a life?

Avrin took a deep breath in as he felt that green matter around his dark core engulf around it, “So this is what hope looks like...” He clenched his teeth before his eyes began to shine, both pupils covered with a green and purple light.

Soon his divine sense had been activated to its maximum efficiency forming small specks of purple light, though it wasn't strong enough still, it had engulfed the entire planet. The green matter within his dark core began to go crazy as if it wanted to assist, the purple specks suddenly began to grow and strengthen as they were empowered by a green hue of light that empowered Avrin’s divine sense.

The gods above Seleria, who were currently within their palace now on the moon, were truly were stunned, they were gazing down in shock as they saw that a purple light with a green mist like hue had engulfed the entire planet. “W...what is he planning to do!...” Ishana had rushed over to the viewing pool after feeling something was wrong, the other gods were already glancing down in surprise.

“-This Avrin....isn't he only as strong as a new deity?...How is he able to cause a planetary scale change?!!-” Septim thought in his mind, he was truly worried that Avrin would convert the entire planet and absorb it, god knows how Septim would be able to stop him then.

Zephiron began to shiver again as he felt that Avrin had gotten stronger, and that he had already offended him by killing Azrael. “Not good...” he muttered under his breath.” The same reactions were felt across seleria.

People were gazing up, some with fear and some with hope that the gods had felt their plight. Many began to fall to their knees and pray to the gods, though never could they know that their gods had indeed abandoned them, and the one who was about to offer hope would be seen as a demon in their eyes.

Avrin felt his body become unsteady as if the particles loosened, drips of blue blood began to run down his nose lips and even his eyes, a sign showing just how much of a toll on his body this was, though if Avrin was to use the dark matter pumped into the planet by Sarcanus, then it would make things easier, he had a different plan for that mass of dark matter.

Ignoring the ramblings and shouts of fear and prayers that these people were speaking that was all clear in Avrin’s mind, he suddenly spoke using his divine sense as a conduit. “--Those that want to live, will need to sacrifice their mortality and become something else, whether you are human or not, I offer you a chance to live, and save your dying loved ones. I will only offer this once, for those that accept, extend your hands out and devour what I give you.--”

The entirety of seleria was in uproar, from all continents everyone was stunned in regards to these words, though Erebus who was within the northern continent was shivering with excitement and anticipation, the spectrals were glancing around in confusion before Erebus who was standing near the square called out. “Watch as our Lord Monarch gives hope to those who are suffering, soon we will have new brothers and sisters, we won't need to feel fear or hide!! This planet will be safe for our kin!”

Eitri held his hammer which was slumped over his shoulder, he simply snickered as he spoke quietly, “Those old bastards who chased me out, hahaha I hope some of them accept so I can boss them around, then I could die happily!”

Asura was a little indifferent, he glanced at Shandian which looked dumb as it was jumping about, Asura suddenly smacked it on the head. “Damnit sit down!...Do you think this is good?...Now I have to deal with possibly more people to steal my food!..”

Shandian though frowned and responded with annoyance. “You big bastard, when master come back I'm going to tell on you!” Asura shuddered, he knew Avrin, although he didn't show it, favoured Shandian somewhat.

Abbadon was currently seated on a stone chair, his people's homes had been ruined and they had to move and rebuild, although the process was not complete, it still brought order. Right now he knew this voice belonged to Avrin, how could he forget it at all. Abbadon glanced around seeing his people some were miserable and even looked as if they were contemplating it. He suddenly shouted out. “Do not be fooled by this demon! He is no god, infact he is an enemy to our gods. If you give in then you will be no better than that damn Orochi! Those who accept this demon’s offer I will personally kill!”

Though Abbadon and the other sigil wielders had long lost their weapons and were weakened, that wasn't to say they were not the most powerful individuals around even if the dragons were now ahead.

The eastern continent, Giron had a strange expression as he was seated with his arms crossed, “Hmm I know that voice from somewhere...” he had a haggard look, having lost his sigil weapon although he was the strongest among the beastmen his status wasnt so solid anymore should someone challenge him.

Lilia and Driada were gazing up as they were making their way down from the hill which their father was buried upon. “That voice..” Driada’s eyebrows furrowed as she spoke, Lilia had a faint smile. “Avrin!..”

Though her excitement wasn't as shared as it was within the elven forest of the southern continent, Myra was currently trying to keep the elves calm as they thought that a demon was about to corrupt the world. Syrana, who after returning had locked herself away to train and regain her calm and composed aura felt herself grumble. “Just what are you planning, though I guess it makes finding you simpler” speaking in a manner in which she still had plans to track Avrin down again once she was sure her current self was suitable for travel.

The central continent where humans were slowly returning, two robed individuals were seated in a tavern eating simple meals, the originally active tavern had gone silent the moment the divine sense had become visible for them, but now they were whispering with worry and confusion in what was going on. One of the hooded individuals raised her head to reveal her beautiful eyes that seemed as if they could cause conflicts, she lowered her makeshift mouth cover and gave a soft tone while speaking. “That voice...it has to be him, I will never forget it.” This was none other than Izanami who seemed quite excited, almost immediately she was tempted to raise her hands out if it meant she would be given a chance to see Avrin, but before she could, she felt an arm reach out and stop her, she turned to see Ayame with a cautious calm expression.

“Sister...what if it isn't him?....It could be a trap?” Ayame had matured carefully and had grown cautious, when her and Izanami had split up with Syrana, they had gotten a clue from the mayor of the port city but the dragons soon after attacked and they had to go into hiding to not be involved in the conflict. Their lives had been hardened by the fact that they had to live on edge while glancing at the sky hoping to not see a looming shadow which represented their death.

“There is that...” Izanami had also gotten cautious, she was unsure, but she clenched her hands and freed her arms from Ayame. “But it is a risk I'll take for him....to see him again...” Izanami had truly not only felt that her love for Avrin had grown, but if this was truly him doing this to help people, then her opinion of him could only rise, she raised her hands out and within moments the dark matter containing purple specks with green hues began to gather in her palm and form a small conversion core.

This attracted the attention of the other tavern goers who also one by one followed suite fueled by curiosity. This scene played out all over seleria, with people in dire need being the ones take up this offer the most.

Kael glanced around stunned by what he was seeing, he watched as the conversion cores were formed in the palms of not tens or hundreds but thousands of people who were nearing death. He quickly turned towards a direction and his eyes widened with newfound hope, he watched as his father had seemingly extended his hands out to form a conversion core, much to the surprise of his brother and sister who followed afterwards.

“Master...thank you, I truly thank you!” Kael spoke out loudly with no hint in hiding himself, he truly felt no need as if he were free and was soon to be among his people, that wasn't to say that everyone accepted the offer, some were cautious and didn't dare extend their hands out saying it was the work of a demon or a trick to steal their souls.

As joyus as this seemed to those who were feeling newfound hope, when they touched these conversion cores they received a simple phrase that entered their mind, “Devour this core, and enter a sleep in which once you wake up, you will be reborn as my kind.” Avrin was not sure how to properly word this message, but he did so as he tried to play to the beliefs of these people.

Avrin looked incredibly exhausted as his body distorted to a degree, he couldn't even absorb the dark matter which made his blood blue. He was only thankful for two facts, one was that he had focused on improving his conversion skills, the other was that these conversion cores were not directly tied to being a pureblood, he lowered the quality so that all these individuals would have blood equal to that of a spectral ranked as squire. This was the most that he could achieve right now, but it was enough to save those who needed it.

Avrin maintained his current state for a few minutes, as he wanted to make sure that people had a little time to ponder carefully, his main targets were those who wanted to be saved, and more or less he had indeed achieved it, so when he finally dispersed his divine sense, he felt as if his head had split open and truly wanted to vomit, the pain he experienced was one he hadn't felt in a long time.

“Th...that is something I don't...want to do for awhile..” He panted heavily as he struggled to stand up, he reached up to his mouth and swallowed the dark core he had formed from the dragon, he wasn't sure which sort of individuals had accepted his offer but weeds could be pulled out when he needed, It wasn't as if he was worried, not only did he have the ability of being a progenitor but he was powerful enough to put up a fight and even had a fair chance of winning against Septim.

Avrin glanced at Limos and Sarcanus, and soon he sat back down after stretching, tomorrow would be the day that he initiates his plan, he had a general idea of how long it would take, but he also wanted to be sure and prepare himself for the worst.

“Orphelium, just wait until i have enough strength to deal with you in the future, someone like you will never leave me alone after being converted. You surely will try and kill me afterwards to steal the fragment.” A cautious look appeared within Avrin’s eyes.
