Avrin seemed to shake his head as he chuckled at Ayame’s words. He continued to pack some pre-made rations and began to plan tools he may need. Ignoring Ayame completely. Ayame waited for a few seconds before releasing avrin had no intention of replying to her. In fact, to her, it seemed he was ignoring her. She clenched her fists.
“Avrin don’t ignore me!!” She furiously yelled which made Avrin’s ear twitched as if her voice irritated him. She continued her short rant. “I'm more than capable of joining teacher and you on this journey!!” Avrin’s eyebrow twitched as he stood up and placed the sack he had bought before at the town, and now another one that was larger and wasn't enchanted that he had made during his training, on his shoulder. “Ayame, please shut up…”
Avrin spoke casually as he walked passed her with a satisfied smile on his face. He had no obligation to answer her, only replying to her irritation that affected him. Ayame’s jaw dropped as she had never heard Avrin be so openly annoyed at her.
It confused her. Considering whenever she wanted to fight him he flirted with her and used that to make her give up and flee.
“W..What did you say!” She called out as she followed behind Avrin who was walking down the hall, passing servants that bowed to them both. “Ayame you seem to misunderstand some things. One-it wasn't my choice to let your so called teacher join me.
Two-I despise her with all my heart. Three-I'm sure we both have better things to do then babysit someone who thinks a journey to see the most powerful creature on Seleria is something you're capable of. And luckily, four-you have been too aggressive towards me so consider this a bit of revenge.” He spoke while looking back to grin at her.
She seemed to stop following him as she was speechless, yet again her face turning red, this time out of frustration. “You bastard…” She huffed and walked off knowing there was no way for her to go with them on the journey.
Avrin didn't want to waste time which was why he was preparing now for the journey. He expected Syrana to do the same but it seemed she was outside, speaking to Myra, who seemed to be engaged in a serious conversation with her around the corner of the dojo. Avrin only picked them up on luck as he passed a window that showed around it.
Avrin didn't hesitate to augment his ears just encase the conversation involved him, and he was right to do so as he picked the conversation up hearing Syrana speak. “Myra, I don't trust that guy. He brought nothing but trouble for us before..”
Myra huffed and folded her arms. “Syrana, your worry is indeed right as he does have a cloud of bad luck hanging over him. And that tablet...It had more than what I told him..”
Avrin’s eyes widened as he balled his fists. Whispering to himself “Calling me bad luck when you were the one who captured me to begin with. And then lying about the contents of the tablet” He glared as he continued to listen.
“Syrana, Lang was given the sky metal not just as a gift but because my grandfather felt an ominous power from it. As if it were alive. The tablet from him spoke of it corrupting the minds of those who didn't have power to resist it.
And even then it seemed to weaken his body. I wonder why he didn't destroy it though” Myra began to think to herself before Syrana spoke.
“Hmm... If it corrupts minds, isn't it possible that for the time he was with it, that it gained enough influence over him as to not be destroyed?” Myra stood quiet for a second before nodding “That’s a possibility.”
Syrana seemed to think as her eyes narrowed “Myra, why did you agree to even let him obtain something so powerful to begin with. Who knows what he might do with it..” Myra smiled and spoke “I have a feeling that it’s fate Syrana. Besides, I'm certain he doesn't know how to forge it, and he may become a valuable ally.
But I will leave the judgement to you Syrana. If you see it and think it is too dangerous than please destroy it…”
Syrana grinned and nodded. “If he tries to stop me you know it won't turn out well..” Myra sighed and nodded “I should hope you explain things to him but if it can't be avoided, protect yourself. But do not kill him “
By now Avrin had begun walking off. His face revealing a smile but also a fury as he hid his anger. He was planning to get revenge on Syrana to begin with but now he was 110% sure that she would get in his way. So he would deal with her with no mercy and if things went well he could get his hands on her half of the sigil even if he had to take her arm with it.
He had little time with Moonwing but enough to know that it had a strange feeling and a unique mana flow. It made him uncomfortable but also told him that he would need at least a day to absorb something like that, and it was only a half sigil. He couldn't fathom a complete one.
As Avrin had gone outside and headed to the dojo, he saw Syrana and Myra make there way out from around and spot him as they walked. Myra waved to him with a smile “Avrin your back! And what’s this? You're already set to go so quickly? Not even waiting?” Avrin tilted his head “The sooner this is done the better. I have no intention of wasting time”
Syrana let out a ‘hmph’ sound as her arms folded. She eyed him up and down “Well that's one thing we can agree on. The journey takes at least 3 days from here, its located near the latent mountain southeast of here”
Avrin thought to himself “-3 days with this wench and then the return trip. So 6 days in total…-” It almost made his stomach churn. Thankfully he had the manual that Shimaru had given him so he had extra reading material and time to train using it. During his training he had also had time to go over the knowledge of the books he had absorbed, so he was more knowledgeable regarding Seleria.
He then spoke in return to Syrana “Very well then, let’s leave now.” Syrana gazed at Myra who nodded with approval, and Myra then spoke “Avrin, please do not offend Lang in any way. He could turn this continent upside down, which is why Syrana is going with you” She then gazes at Syrana “This goes for you too. Please do not engage Lang unless it can't be avoided.” Syrana huffed as she had a disastrous anger towards dragons which was why it was not a good idea to send her. But it couldn't be avoided. Myra would just have to trust her.
Syrana went over towards the exit of the estate while motioning for Avrin to follow. Avrin then gazed at Myra “Doesn't she have any bags or food?” Myra chuckled and winked. “Oh I’m sure you could eat together.
Surely you could share?” She said in a joking turn, but Avrin made a sour unimpressed face. Myra then laughed “Hahaha, do not worry Avrin, she is a Sylph, our strongest warrior, she lives off the land. Besides, bags would only slow her down”
Avrin nodded and then bowed with a fake respect which made Myra wiggle shyly before he headed off towards Syrana, who seemed to be annoyed as she waited. “Hurry the hell up..” She spoke but Avrin continued his pace and sighed again, knowing these 3 days were going to be the most irritating of his life. He had wondered if he would be able to form a vehicle from his universe to combat the distance as well as save time with her but he would save that thought for now. Considering he was not strong enough to protect such technology if someone stronger came after him for it.
At the exit to the estate there were several shinobi who waited and bid them farewell. Shimaru was also there as well as Calias’s wife. But Ayame seemed to be missing. But it didn’t bother Avrin. He cared not if she was missing or not.
As he bid Shimaru farewell, as he knew him better than the others, the shinobi saluted him as they considered him one of them, since the elder had trained him. The goodbye with Calias’s wife was short as he hardly saw her other then that night at dinner.
10 minutes passed before Syrana and Avrin were seen walking through a sort of forest path. Avrin having his hood on as he looked around. He hadn't left the estate’s main exit in years. It felt weird for him, but also as if it had never happened. It was as if yesterday he had left one village, only to be trained by a hidden shinobi clan, something found in a novel. It made him want to laugh at himself.
He only let a slight smirk out which Syrana noticed and spoke “Please do not make that face, it worries me…” Avrin then frowned. It seemed the one he called bitch was quite good at ruining moods in an instant, but he ignored it as they continued on.

Avrin then blinked as he looked around. He had learnt during his training, the ability to detect mana faintly without the need for his augmented eyes. That and the training of his senses made it still significantly useful. He had felt they had been followed.
But he ignored it for now, thinking it was a shinobi tasked with guarding them. Both of them quietly continued on for several hours without uttering a word to each other. It was as if they were strangers going down the same path. The forest seemed to become thicker, as well as the appearance of chirping birds.
There were indeed creatures lurking around, but these creatures felt as if these two individuals were dangerous. Avrin still felt that they were being followed and it was making him a bit uneasy. He gazed at Syrana who seemed to pay it no mention. He spoke “Have you seriously not noticed..?”
Syrana blinked and gazed at Avrin, as she wondered what he meant, before realizing it. She had been a warrior for many decades and her senses were still more sharper than his. “Oh that..” she chuckled softly then gazed forward and spoke “I guess she intended to follow after all..” Avrin made a ‘huh?’ like sound before widening his eyes by now they were at least 5-6 hours away from the estate.
“And you didn't tell me before?” He sighed to which Syrana seemed to ignore. Avrin knew it was her who followed. He spoke out as they continued to walk “Ayame, I'm quite sure I told you that you weren't to come with us…”
Ayame wasted no time jumping down and smiling at her teacher as she was walking beside her, and Syrana didn't seem to mind. In fact, she felt more comfortable, as if she was glad she came. Ayame then turned and glared at Avrin. “I don't care about you, I'm here with teacher…”
Avrin sighed. He then knew that Syrana told her to go but this changed nothing. It only meant that he now had two people he found irritating to get revenge on. Two birds with one stone. He knew that something like this would happen but he shrugged it off, thinking nothing of it until now. There was no point in arguing. “Fine.. Do not look to me if she is in danger Syrana. She is your problem”
Syrana had no friendship towards Avrin and spoke “Fine. Now stop talking, your pissing me off..” Avrin only shook his head. It seemed she really despised him, especially since now her and Ayame were speaking with each other regarding the Sylph and her training.
Avrin felt like the 3rd wheel even though this journey was meant for him, so to speak. But he then found the positive of it. If she isn't annoying me then it’s good. They continued on down the forest southeast with no issue. The sight was truly something to behold.
It was filled with numerous herbivore like creatures as well as a beautiful atmosphere that was soothing to a degree. Avrin wondered that maybe earth would still be like this if humanity had never existed. It seemed the people of Seleria were more responsible regarding nature.
They had been walking with no rest for 16 hours and the sun was starting to set. Syrana then spoke “We’ll rest here..” Avrin replied “We're not continuing?..” Syrana shook her head. “Keeping stamina 100% everyday is more important” Avrin shook his head slightly. This Elf clearly spoke as if she worried about being ambushed. Then again she was older than Shimaru and lived outdoors, so he didn't argue and nodded.
Syrana and Ayame began to gather materials to make a makeshift tent, and with Syrana’s expertise from wilderness survival they did it effectively, but even went as far as warning Avrin to keep several meters from them at all times.
They made their campsite at a large mossy boulder near a tree that seemed to be hundreds of years old. Even more positive was that there was a small lake nearby.
As Ayame and Syrana spoke, ignoring Avrin’s presence. He had no desire to camp with them and walked off for a good minute before emitting his nebula mist, devouring the landscape to a degree, until the leaves, sticks, and such were clear, and even until the land was flat.
He had trained to use it more effectively and wasted no time improving all his qualities as much as he could. He even had more varieties of creation. As the mist then began to form a large box shape as if a large glass rectangle made of energy appeared on the flat land.
The land itself in the presence of the creation began to emit a slight aura, but then the box began to condense into a shape quite quickly until it had completely condensed into the intended shape, which was a spacious pod style tent. It was quite large and it put Syrana and Ayame’s leaf and stick tents to shame.
He grinned as he examined it “Hmm... This one turned out better than my last did. It doesn't seem to have any structural difficulties and it’s larger too.” Avrin happily went inside which was a nice open area with a sleeping bag and a spread table with a fold out chair already set. As he went inside it was large enough for him not to duck down to enter and was large enough for him to stand inside as if he were in a small house.
Avrin went over to a unused part of the tent and removed his cloak as he folded it and placed it to the side, before he sat down in a cross legged position. He then shut his eyes, knowing the other two were doing there own things. He entered an early state of the Pulsing Dragon meditation. But a voice, as if on cue, broke his concentration.
“Incredible! What is this!! Is it a house in the forest?” He then heard shuffling outside as well as touching against the pod tent. “Hmm its made out of some weird paper, but its pretty sturdy” Another voice spoke out “Teacher, that’s one of Avrin’s creations. Uhh, I think grandfather said Avrin called it a teee nnt or uhh tnnet. Or along those lines”
Syrana, being the voice before, spoke out “What a silly name...And what a silly contraption to begin with. We are out in the outdoors. Shelter is all around. Besides, it is unfair for him to have one. Avrin come out this instant.
Avrin kept quiet, hoping they would go away, as he reentered his Pulsing Dragon meditation. His mind blocking out everything outside of his own presence, as his aura began to emit like a sharply controlled flame that gently fluttered around the unused room, touching the walls but not damaging them.
Avrin, several times over the years, concluded that this meditation, with his own bits and pieces, improved the strength of his skills significantly, as it seemed to refresh and strengthen his body. He could use his ability even more so.
As if a door had been opened bit by bit, every time he had used it. He had completely shut himself out from the outside world and a few hours had passed before he felt it was enough for the night.
As he opened his eyes he noticed Ayame in the corner, tending to her equipment, and Syrana in the room in front, making what seemed like a paste made out of fruits. “What’s going on?..” Avrin spoke as soon as his mind was refocused.
Syrana blinked as well as Ayame who both then stared at Avrin. Syrana spoke “Well, considering how unfair it was for you to have shelter like this, we decided to join you”
Ayame nodded with a smile and spoke “It’s definitely large enough for the 3 of us, if not more” Avrin didn't know whether he wanted to laugh cry or curse them out of this tent, even more so since they told him not to be near them to begin with.
He decided to get some fresh air, and stood up. He began to make his way out. Syrana spoke “Where are you going?”
Speaking as if she were his wife he replied “The river. I'm going to wash. Is there a problem with that?..” He spoke clearly annoyed and she could tell, which made her grin with satisfaction. “Not at all, go ahead...Dear…” She spoke and began to giggle to her own deluded joke
Avrin, who felt like hanging himself with disgust, immediately made his way out towards the river. “Those two, I'll be dead from anger by the time we reach that dragon. God, is this some sort of punishment?.. I can't remember a time in my past life where I treated a women unequally..” He spoke in a pitiful tone.
As he reached the river, he began to remove his clothing. Little did he know that Syrana had intended to test how much he has improved. She had left a minute after him, after asking Ayame to continue on with food preparation. Syrana gazed at Avrin, hiding her presence and also her own internal mana as best she could.
Avrin, without his augmented eye, wouldn't be able to detect this with his current senses. She gazed like a predator watching its prey as he continued to strip down. She had a large rock in her hand and she had Avrin in her sights.
