Back on the ocean floor, the water surged and the sandy ground split apart as Orochi’s large figure appeared, followed by Azrael, who quickly formed a water barrier around the both of them. “Water.... This is water… It’s so cool here.... Perfect… This is good....” Orochi reached up with his claw and ripped the barrier Azrael had placed with ease. The water flooded in, engulfing its body, causing it to shudder slightly.

“Water.... Perfect.. So cold...hahaha..... I’m free… I’m finally FREE!!” Orochi’s mana blasted out like a monster. It caused the water to blow apart and even blew Azrael back and onto his knees from the pressure. Azrael was astonished at how powerful Orochi had become.

“-Such power.... Just how strong is this creature…?-” Azrael had no idea that Orochi had broken through to the Early stage of the New Deity level after devouring the Sigil Enhancements crafted by each god for their respective Sigil wielder.

The monstrous mana which shot out could be felt across the entirety of Seleria, showing how powerful it was. Within a white chamber, Abbadon was lecturing several young angels, teaching them about spells and mana affinities, when the pressure of Orochi’s mana hit, it was enough for everyone to feel it. Of course, the one who had the most shock was Abbadon, whose eyes widened with a look of fear. “N...No.... It can’t be...”

Giron was eating high class meat and drinking fine wine within his home, laughing as he told the story of how he supposedly killed Silis, which was a lie, and some doubted him. Though these were people who knew of its existence and were close to him and dared not call him a liar.

“So that’s how I-” Orochi’s mana hit him next and caused his family and friends to look with shock and horror. Giron, though, had a stunned expression. He quickly reached for the object he used to communicate with Abbadon.

Within the southern continent, the elven forest, Myra sighed as she walked passed Syrana’s room with a feeling of loneliness. They were like sisters and best friends, close to each other and backing each other up, yet Syrana had ditched her easily to go search for Avrin.

“That bastard Avri-” The mana surged over the forest, causing the birds to scatter and everyone to look in fear. “What a powerful affinity.... A dual affinity?... No...this isn’t just two affinities....Impossible!!! It’s all affinities?!!.... This can only mean....Orochi! Other than him, what creature could possess all affinities!” Confusion and surprise was adorned on Myra’s face as she clenched her teeth.

Several minutes before Orochi released his mana, within the central continent and in the eastern kingdom of Hajhl, in which capital city housed many exquisite buildings, with the city’s main trade being art and fresh produce, it was quite well off. A large, well-made building that seemed fit for a king was guarded by some lazy looking guards who, despite being adorned in well made armor, seemed to look casual.

Suddenly, three robed figures made their way towards the building before the one in front stopped and gazed up. The two other figures stopped and followed the eyes of the first one, looking up. The one on the left spoke with a soft, teasing, female tone. “See, see, I told you my methods of extracting information pay off time and time again.”

The figure in the middle, despite having a female voice, sounded more harsh and unforgiving. “We would have been here sooner if we had looked into them changing their name...”

The figure on the right asked in a curious tone, also being a female. “Master, I think it’s good that we made it here, though, no one would have guessed that they would change it only a week ago. Regardless, this is definitely the headquarters of the Gold Stone Mercenaries.”

The figures continued to look as the light reflected a bit to reveal their faces. These were none other than Syrana, Ayame and Izanami, who had set out to search for Avrin, having spent a little more than two years gathering information and going on misleads that led them on a wild goose chase to find this mercenary group.

“Hehe, indeed. It wasn’t that bad. I’ll have you know, although we got many bad leads, we finally made it!” Izanami said, making Syrana’s eyebrows twitch in disatisfaction. She felt that it had taken much longer than it should have. The Twisting Lands was the biggest waste of time, and even more so the mercenaries changing their names and moving headquarters. Syrana was nearing her wit’s end.

“Forget it. Let’s go in.” Speaking with annoyance, Syrana walked up the marble-like steps. After she neared the the top, the lazy guards suddenly became serious, stood in front of her and spoke. “State your business.” One spoke as if he had been practicing the lines for a week.

“I’m here to see your leader, a woman named Felia.” Syrana spoke softly, but her voice carried a sort of heavy feeling. The guard thought for a moment before replying. “Appointments need to be made days in advance and be sent by mail or carrier bird. If you don’t have an appoi-” Before the guard could finish, Syrana’s forehead tensed and a vein appeared. Green, nature affinity mana surged out of her, showing that she was at the early mythical stage.

This frightened the guards, who now knew they were dealing with an expert. And going by what they were taught, experts were always allowed in. “P..Please forgive me..... Go.....r..right in. I’ll have someone notify Lady Felia!!” The guard shuddered before the dense mana dispersed. The three soon entered the building.

The interior was gorgeous, with hand carved wooden beams, furniture, and doors and their frames. The floor was a special wood that underwent petrification when imbued with mana, causing the it to have a unique pattern.

The building, composed of four levels, was quite expensive. Of course, with Felia’s newfound wealth, it was an easy purchase. On the fourth level, Felia stood dressed in similar leather attire to the one she wore within the Twisting Lands. Though this seemed to fit her curves perfectly. One would guess she had it specially commissioned due to its beautiful design, bringing together blue, white, and gold. It even had the emblem of her mercenary group as an insignia on the back.

Felia was writing on parchment in regards to forming several smaller branches in a way to extend her power. She definitely would not miss an opportunity, and it had been in the making for two years, but she stopped as she heard a knock on the door. “Oh?... Didn’t I say not to bother me? What’s the issue?” She uttered out in a soft, civilized manner. Her long hair now hung at her lower back in a ponytail. She seemed quite at ease, as if nothing could shake the podium she was on.

“Lady Felia...supposedly some experts have arrived....” A man’s worried voice sounded out. Felia frowned for a moment as she pondered the situation. Over the past two years, several powerful individuals had come, seeking information about the dungeon. They had told her it was supposedly a dragon’s lair, although Felia didn’t believe them. She didn’t rebut it either, as to garner a bit more importance.

“Let them in.” She spoke with a soft tone, thinking the situation was just a follow up to some other things. Though she was a little surprised. She had, after all, felt many people would try to seek her group out and bully them into giving them money or information. She had tried quite hard to pay off individuals to spread fake rumors on purpose in many taverns in an attempt to mislead these individuals into a dead end in hopes of buying enough time to establish herself.

Of course, she took any situation with experts seriously, especially the first batch that had managed to find her even after all the misleading she had paid a fortune for. Several moments later, Syrana and the other two were being escorted through the large building. “Do you think she knows where he is, Master?” Ayame couldn’t help but ask. “I’m not sure.” Syrana spoke bluntly with a tone of hope. She truly wanted to teach Avrin a lesson after the situation he put her through.

“You have me around. It will be easy to discern whether she knows something or not!” Izanami also wanted to give her thoughts on the situation. The trio were led up stairs and past several guards and individuals who seemed to be busy with their own matters, until they were finally led down a hall with a single room at the end. Of course, the hall also seemed to be guarded with magical runes to act as defences. One could see the owner has spared little expense in securing protection.

When they reached the end of the hall, the man escorting them knocked, and a soft voice called out. “Come in.” Felia spoke from inside. The man glanced at the trio behind him and opened the door before speaking. “If you please.” He tried to sound dignified and respectful. After all, he was not one to take the risk of offending someone powerful. Syrana was the first to walk in, followed by Izanami, then Ayame. When the three entered, the door was softly shut. Syrana glanced at the figure behind a wooden desk, who was casually looking back at her. This was, of course, Felia.

“Three supposed experts? To what do I owe the pleasure?” Felia spoke with no stutter and a calm expression on her face. Her elbows were on the table, her hands folded, while she looked over at the three.

Syrana gazed at Felia strangely. Although she had seen a few elven people in her travels in the southern continent, if there was a chance that Avrin and her had journeyed together, then considering the situation, it annoyed her strangely.

“Finding you was not enjoyable at all...but what’s done is done. As long as I get some answers, I’m quite forgiving. In this case, I’m looking for someone who I’m certain you have traveled with.” Syrana casually spoke out before lowering her hood to reveal her appearance. Ayame and Izanami followed suit.

Felia glanced over and her expression flickered a little. Gazing carefully at Syrana, she wasn’t sure who exactly she was, considering she was not born on the southern continent but on the central continent. “Looking for someone who you’re certain I know? I have a lot of mercenaries under my wing. Some come and go, some even die. Though if you give me a name it will shorten the list.” Felia spoke back.

Syrana had nothing to hide and waited for a moment before speaking. “I’m looking for someone called Avrin.” Felia, after hearing this, felt her eyes narrow as she responded the moment Syrana replied. “Don’t know him… Sorry.”

Syrana walked over and slammed her fist onto the desk in an aggressive manner. “Bullshit! Don’t think I haven’t come here unprepared. The dungeon your little group went to was home to a dragon. You think he is going to let your little possy come in and run amok without acting? A little digging in ancient texts can easily identify that place, and I sure as hell don’t think you're capable of fighting a dragon.” Syrana spoke in a blunt, aggressive manner.

Her temper over the years had reached a frightening level, especially towards Felia, who, despite having not met her, had been the end result of a search that was frustrating.

“Hmph! I’ll tell you what I told everyone else. When we arrived at the end, we found no dragon. Other than Sigil wielders, who is capable of fighting one? And going by this Avrin person you're looking for, are you implying he is capable of fighting one? How would I find the money to hire someone like that before my current situation.”

Felia had seen Avrin’s strength. Although it was astonishing, she didn’t believe he could fight against a dragon, so her words held some truth. Though she continued to speak. “So I’m telling you, I don’t know any Avrin.” Felia finished.

Syrana remained silent and frowned a little. She then turned to Izanami, who was quietly watching from the sides, spoke to her. “Fine… Handle this before I destroy this place...” Syrana spoke before walking back. Izanami gave a sly smile before walking over towards the desk and sitting on the edge of it, glancing at Felia.

“What a shame. Though, I’m sure you will let us know if you find Avrin, correct? I’m sure you know we are quite powerful?” Izanami spoke. Felia grunted quietly as she looked at Izanami with a bit of disdain. “As long as you don’t cause issues for my group, then if I hear of anything, I’ll let you know...” She didn’t plan to at all and her words were quite hollow.

“That’s fine, it’s all good. Let me describe him for you.” Izanami gave a light laugh but Felia remained quiet, hoping these three would leave soon after. “Avrin has long silver hair, a handsome face no less than angelic, his body...enough to make any decent woman drool with lust. And he is quite good under the sheets. I could go on telling you about our encounter.”

While speaking, Izanami chose her words carefully as to see the change in Felia’s reaction. Felia, of course, felt her body tremble a little and her eyebrows twitch as she remembered Avrin’s appearance. Her cheeks lit up in a pink hue, but she tried to remain calm.

That is, until she heard from Izanami regarding him being good under the sheets. This made her clench her fists in anger, wondering why Avrin had never made a move on her. For a moment she had even forgotten about the situation. She would never have guessed that the seductive Izanami had skillfully set her up.

“Oh, Avrin also wears a blue cloak at all times...” Izanami uttered with a slight grin. It was then that Felia, who had been filled with annoyance and had for a moment forgotten the situation uttered with a bit of anger subconsciously. “You mean a black cloa-” Her eyes widened and her heart beat heavily. She glanced up and spotted Izanami, who snickered silently, then over towards Syrana, who was walking towards her with a grin.

“-Shit… This seductress got me… And I thought I was good-” A nervous smile appeared on Felia’s face as she placed her hand under the table towards a dimly glowing, circular rune.

But before she could even reach it, Izanami pulled out a short weapon similar to a kodachi and stabbed it directly into the table, perfectly over the rune, destroying it. “Oh, I don’t think so. Be a good girl and remain still.” Izanami smiled coldly towards Felia, who had a worried look.

“You think I’m going to tell you where he is? Even if I knew, I can see your intentions are surely not good.” Syrana walked over and her mana moved to Felia, who had just dashed back off the chair before falling to her knees from the astonishing pressure.

“Ah!” She helplessly uttered before glancing at Syrana with fear and anger. “That’s none of your business… I have a bone to pick with him… Tell me everything you kn-” It was at that moment the pressure from Orochi hit the city, dispersing Syrana’s surge of mana and even causing fear to well up in her heart. “-Such a powerful affinity.... Has a god descended?... No...this feels sinister… Why does it have several affinities?-” Syrana broke out into a slight cold sweat and clenched her teeth, glancing at Felia.

Ayame, who also felt the pressure felt her heart beat quicker as she clenched her fists, trying to remain calm. “Master?.... What...is this?..” She helplessly spoke towards Syrana, who remained calm. Izanami, who also widened her eyes, couldn’t help but feel her soul shudder from the pressure. She had never felt this afraid in her life. The surge of mana felt distant, but not one trace of it felt weak. If it were in this city, no doubt the people within would already be dead from the pressure.

Felia clenched her teeth as well, but took this chance, as they were distracted, and reached into a small tool belt to her side before pulling out a single blue sphere that she threw towards them. Syrana glanced over, but it was too late. The sphere exploded in a radiant blue light that activated all the hidden runes within the room. Immediately the building, which was full of people who had also felt the mana, were woken up to reality by the sounds of an attack upstairs. All the guards made their way upstairs to assist Felia.

The surge of mana Orochi had showed soon vanished, which helped keep the focus towards the alert. Syrana gripped Felia by the collar of her leather attire and raised her in the air with ease. “Big mistake… I’m not done with you...” Syrana frowned as Felia resisted, though soon the door was kicked in and dozens of armored individuals charged through. “Leader!!” Several shouted as they saw Felia’s situation.

These were guards who had little to nothing, and it was thanks to Felia that they were able to become successful in life. They owed her a lot, including their lives. She had saved many and even given them a chance to support their families. They would not hesitate to give their lives for her. Several charged towards Syrana, who looked at them with disdain.

As five neared, Ayame’s figure flashed towards them as she charged towards the guards. Her body flickered with agile movement before her palms smashed against the exposed points of the armor they wore, from the back of their knees to the shoulder joints. Using her fingers and palms she managed to stun five guards who were at the early stage Expert level, showing that her time during the two years was spent not just on searching but in increasing her strength.

Ayame then stood in the center around the stunned guards. She glanced over towards the group at the door and spoke. “Anyone who doesn’t want to taste the floor stay where you are.” Although Ayame was at the peak Expert level she knew her main advantage and focus was on speed and technique rather than raw strength.

“Where is Avrin...” Syrana spoke as she pinned Felia against the wall. Felia looked angrily towards Syrana before lifting her knee and smashing it towards her gut but Syrana was skilled and not easily beaten. She moved her free hand over and effortlessly blocked her knee. “Go to....hell...” Felia muttered out.

Syrana grew impatient, frowned and was about to speak before she felt a surge of mana above her. The ceiling cracked and a figure smashed down. Syrana quickly let Felia go and dashed to the side, avoiding the blow. A sweet, childish voice sounded out soon after.

“Damn, I missed! This bitch is pretty fast, hahaha!“ This was none other than Wyni, who brandished the Unique level Legion Hammer obtained from the dungeon. Syrana frowned. She was contemplating simply leveling this entire building, but it would cause a commotion if an elven Sigil wielder did so within a human city.

“Nice timing, Wyni, but you ruined my ceiling!” Felia spoke with a nervous laugh as she rubbed her neck and gasped for breath. Wyni had, of course, gotten stronger and with the Legion Hammer in hand, was at the level of a peak Master. She had trained immensely with the hammer in order to get used to it and improve.

“Pssh… What’s it matter? Just buy a new one. Now, let me handle this. Clovis should be here soon. I was closest when my rune shard broke.” She was referring to an expensive magic that used a shard of crystal inscribed with a rune. When Felia activated the blue sphere which triggers all nearby runes, one of the runes inscribed to break both her and Clovis’ shard activated which alerted her.

“That’s fine, they’re after Avrin. I’m not sure why, but it can’t be good. We just need to buy enough time for the city lord’s troops to get here. I’m sure that old geezer will have felt mana. He owes me quite a bit too.” Felia stood up and unsheathed a short sword at her side. She was at the early Master level and although she wasn’t as strong as Wyni anymore she still prided herself on her swordsmanship.

“Avrin? Gahh, I miss my little Kael.” She frowned a little before glancing at Syrana and dashing towards her with the hammer in hand, though before she passed a meter, Izanami flickered with her two blades and slashed at Wyni, who quickly used the Legion Hammer to block. This caused sparks to fly up and as Izanami’s blades slashed downwards as they were deflected to the ground, causing a large gash to appear. Izanami focused on Wyni and gave a sly smile.

“Sorry, but you’re gonna have to play with me for a bit.” Izanami spoke before her own aura surged out. She was considered not only a genius when it comes to gathering intel and manipulation, but also when it came to strength. She was already a mid level Master when fighting Avrin, and now she was at the peak of the Master level, where she could breakthrough to the Grandmaster level at any time.

Izanami jumped back and removed her robe to show her stunning appearance that even left some of the weaker willed guards shock and awed by it, Wyni looked over at Izanami with a face of dissatisfaction before grinning. “A shame a body like that is only useful in seduction!” Hearing Wyni’s words Izanami simply snickered and replied. “Sounds like you’re jealous, and if you think it is wise to underestimate me you’re sorely mistaken.”

Izanami finished before her body vanished. She blurred with speed as she slashed towards Wyni who, of course, didn’t sit still and take it. Wyni’s physical strength was indeed stronger than Izanami’s, but her speed was lacking, so she could only focus on defending, and even then some attacks went through, causing cuts and scratches to appear over the spots she wasn’t quick enough to cover.

Izanami appeared behind Wyni and slashed towards her right hand in an attempt to disarm her, but Felia, who was close by, used all her speed to shoot towards Izanami and thrust with her short sword towards her. Izanami frowned before kicking off the ground and dashing back. Felia pointed the blade towards her.

“Wyni, just buy a bit more time for Clovis and the city lord.” Felia mumbled. While this happened, several guards who were quite loyal charged towards Ayame with weapons of all types. Ayame had to be careful. Several individuals were early stage Masters. Although not as quick as her, their raw power is equal to her form without relying on the White Dragon’s bloodline.

She nimbly avoided many of the attacks surely meant to kill. She found it troublesome, when traveling, she had been made to kill every enemy she had to fight, but when entering cities and villages Syrana had forbidden it completely. It was quite a handicap to her, considering all her techniques are meant to not only stun the opponent but to finish them the moment they were unable to move.

“Master....this is annoying, please make a move!” Ayame called out. Syrana, who had been watching until now, sighed and her own body flickered towards Ayame, who was surrounded by four individuals who glanced at her with ill intentions. Two of them were early stage Masters who had just charged towards her.

In an instant, Syrana appeared behind them and they both fell to the ground with their mouths frothing and their bodies limp. “I’m going to give you one last chance to tell me where Avrin is, or I’m going to bury your mercenary group!” Syrana called out, but the moment she did, deep laughter sounded out from behind the guards waiting in the hallway.

“Hahaha! Bury our group? You need to deal with me first!” A surge of fire affinity mana shot out, causing the guards to quickly step to the side and make way for the red robed individual.

“Clovis!” Felia called out with a sigh of relief.

Regarding avrins avrins progress when it comes to particles, i figured it would be hard to keep track of his progress on a day to day basis, so i will now only update it when a chapter showing what stage or % he is at is released, if i constantly update it as the days go by it would spoil it and be annoying to keep track of in the future.
