!!!!! Pr Credits To Draconis Von BloodTrap &  Dragonofsomesort  Who Constantly Help With SR chapters, Please take the time to rep them for their work :)

Hello! im pretty exhausted so i l try and keep this note a bit short since i'm tired and have a report to do, i saw the results for the poll last chapter, and i heard some complaints about romance being missing from the options. Romance is practically guaranteed in Sr and i have a set time in the story when i will start it up so i didnt feel the need towards it right now, that being said i guess i can introduce a bit of romance for other future chars that dont have to be an avrin x someone relationship, i feel i can use that to make the story more exciting and give it more depth. all in all though i hope you guys enjoy this chapter.

P.s im to tired to fix my own note forgive me for that. il get to it later :(

Avrin appeared calm, but he wasn’t really sure what to do in this situation. He just remained still, not daring to move. This creature’s breath itself could kill him.

“BAHAHAHA!!” Orphelium spiraled in excitement as its laugh caused space to twist and turn. It casually made its way towards Avrin. Of course, its speed was much faster than before. It was like a shooting star multiplied by millions. Avrin couldn’t even see Orphelium clearly despite its figure being larger than a planet. Such a feeling was truly miserable.

“What in the hell is that thing!?” Tialoc yelled. He could clearly feel Orphelium’s monstrous strength. “Curse my damned luck… This isn’t good....” Septim looked miserable. It was as if he had won the lottery only to have it confirmed as a counterfeit ticket. He was reluctant to let things go, even if he knew with Orphelium present it certainly had business with Avrin.

“Septim...we shouldn’t remain around here. I feel that creature is far stronger than even King Lestyn. We need to leave and not risk enraging it with our presence.” Nefria was nervous and afraid. She didn’t want to stay any longer.

“I.....well.... I’m sure they are on good terms… We just need to wait a little longer and see!” Septim called out. They all wanted to laugh miserably and curse at Septim for making them stay a second longer in Orphelium’s presence.

In a few seconds, Orphelium’s snake-like body encircled Avrin. Everything had become dark, the sun light had been blocked out, and only the stars above and below Orphelium’s coiled body were visible.

Coiling around Avrin caused the space to shake and Avrin to ball his fists as he began to regulate his breathing. He did not need air, but it was a force of habit, which made dark matter act as a filling for his lungs.

The darkness was suddenly brightened somewhat. The light source was not something to be happy about though. Looking up, Avrin spotted Orphelium’s moon sized eyes which emitted a deep red glow. Avrin remembered tales and folklore regarding doomsday and the apocalypse. He always considered things like that were avoidable if cards were played right, but looking at Orphelium, he was proven wrong. Avrin had never felt so hopeless in his life.

“You must be the one wanting to surpass their limits and become a Cosmic Entity?” Avrin spoke with a tone that was neither arrogant nor disrespectful. Orphelium remained silent for a moment as it looked at Avrin, almost as if it was trying to pierce his soul with its gaze. And it didn’t fail. Avrin felt his soul quiver in fright, but this also angered him. He didn’t like being helpless. He would return the favor to this creature.

“Not scared? You seem to know why I’m here. Obviously He must have told you.” Orphelium’s voice was not strong and was spoken as if it had been from an average person. This creature’s level of control over its incredibly large vocal cords was quite magnificent. It must have had such a large amount of time to learn about itself.

“Yes, that’s it. Though I also know that you probably won’t let me live after you take what you want. I know the fragment I possess is too enticing for you to use for a trade.”

Orphelium’s eyes narrowed somewhat. It was surprised at how much Avrin knew. Back on the moon, Septim was looking over. He could only see the large, coiled body of Orphelium, and wasn’t sure about Avrin’s fate. He assumed, because it hadn’t moved, they were probably conversing.

“I’m sure they are just acquaintances...” Septim tried to calm the others down. They all looked over at the pool and tried to reclaim some lost hope. They knew that Avrin was a sort of ticket for them to obtain riches, and how could they not feel greedy.

“I don’t think that’s the case.... Why would a creature that powerful even come here?” Lenaya shivered a little, though she suddenly went quiet as she looked at the pool. What happened attracted the attention of all the gods.

Orphelium’s body stirred and began to move somewhat, though when they realised why this was the case, they felt their hearts stop for a moment. Orphelium’s large, snake-like head was gazing towards them with its red eyes. Its voice suddenly echoed forth. “You bunch can piss off.” It gave a simple breath, but this breath seemed to shake the space in its path. A large, cyclone-like wind on a solar scale. The wind smashed against the large moon, causing it to shake and rip apart.

Septim’s eyes quickly narrowed before he roared out with great reluctance followed by fear. “Yelsiva Hyuthil Tryiuna!” With these three incanation words spoken, the entire palace was covered in a white glow. Gravuna and Lenaya were screaming in fear and tears began to run down Lenaya’s face. Tialoc and Mallaku also felt their lives flash by their eyes. They felt they couldn’t resist such pressure and that they were about to be torn at any moment.

Nefria, Zephiron and Ishana all felt hopeless in such a situation, but when Septim finished his incantation and the light engulfed the palace they felt a bit of relief. In a near instant, the palace vanished in a flash of light. One would come to know that this was an expensive return rune only craftable by Ancient and higher level Deities.

Avrin could hear the faint sounds of rumbling. He assumed that Orphelium had done in Septim and the others. His divine sense couldn’t extend that far to search, but he was subconsciously happy, because it would remove a few things from his to do list. But he was truly amazed at how strong Orphelium was. With a simple breath, it destroyed a moon and was capable of killing a High Deity, truly befitting of a Primordial Entity.

“And then there were two.” Orphelium quietly spoke as it turned to look at Avrin. “You know what I want. Hand me a dark core.” Avrin was a little surprised Orphleium knew about dark cores. “You don’t want a conversion core?”

Avrin wanted to confirm something. He didn’t want to assume he couldn’t befriend Orphelium despite its aggravation. If he could convert it, then even if it was a Primordial Entity, he was still the Progenitor. He could probably deal with it using his dark matter heart.

“Conversion core? You take me as someone stupid? You little pest. I’ve lived since the birth of this universe. I’ve ventured to three other universes!! I know of the Fragments of God and their past wielders. I’m sure I know a lot more than you! You want me to convert, then you want to deal with me with God’s heart? You crazy little meat bag… But I like your sneakiness. I’m getting impatient though, so give me a dark core and accept your death.”

Avrin forced a smiled. At least he got to know a bit about Orphelium. Beings of such power really wouldn’t want to be confined in one universe. He knew Orphelium couldn’t eat him, and he wondered why this was the case. Maybe it had a reason.

“I’m sure you aren’t in such a rush. Besides, I’m in the mood to play a bit.” Avrin’s excitement began to kick in. He instantly retrieved Astaroth from its stored space and brandished it with both hands and snickered. Orphelium looked over at Astaroth. Although the weapon didn’t seem like much, the aura it emitted was a terrifying. Almost as if it were part of something that dwarfed it.

“That weapon… Strange.... How did you manage to get that?” Orphelium asked, and soon after, Avrin’s mouth curved into a wicked smile. He slashed Astaroth in a circular motion as a series of blade head afterimages followed. This was a more complete version of Stygian Reap. The screeching energy formed by the attack expanded in a quick manner, but Orphelium seemed more awed than afraid.

“You’re going to fight me?” It asked, confused. The wave attack smashed against Orphelium’s coiled body from all directions, though as Avrin glanced around, he found Orphelium wasn’t even scratched. Avrin gave a soft sigh. “If I’m going to die, then why can’t I see how my strength fairs against you. It’s only fair, right? Just stay silent and be my training dummy, haha!”

Avrin’s face twisted a little as he roared out. He raised Astaroth and his muscles suddenly bulged slightly with a large aura of dark matter surging out, causing specks of purple and black light to form around Astaroth’s blade head.

“Me, a training dummy? You little....” Orpheliun didn’t finish, as it was awed again, looking at the dark matter energy that was forming around Astaroth. “-That’s it… Dark matter… I need that raw energy!-” Orphelium suddenly felt enticed. “How about a Stygian Slash!” The more Avrin fought, the more excited he felt. He was using it to measure the current strength of Astaroth, even if he couldn’t fully control it. A large, black and purple wave of energy that seemed somewhat transparent shot out towards Orphelium. Orphelium was delighted and opened his mouth, as if to devour it, but what it didn’t realise is that as the Stygian Slash moved, it would grow stronger by absorbing mana from the surroundings.

The screeching black and purple wave of energy shot towards Orphelium’s opened mouth. Avrin watched attentively. This was a way for him to think of new combat techniques that may be effective in the future. He wouldn’t feel hopeless in the situation for long. He would always try and find a way to make it benefit himself.

“It’s MINE!” Orphelium’s mouth snapped over and clamped shut over the energy wave, and for a moment it seemed quite happy. Though its face twisted a little. This was because Avrin quickly willed the energy to dissipate so Orphelium couldn’t use it as a catalyst.

“-This creature is strange.... Is dark matter ineffective against it? I’m certain it’s a one off thing..-”  Avrin snapped back to reality as he saw an enraged look on Orphelium’s face. “You little shit… Are you trying TO MOCK ME!!!” Orphelium’s mana surged out. It was almost as if a large star had gone supernova with the amount of light and energy generated. Of course, Orphelium did well to control itself, as the mana surge simply knocked Avrin about like a ragdoll and didn’t kill him.

Avrin’s expression was grave as he felt his body pummeled from all directions. He felt his bones break and his organs shake. He was a toy that can easily be destroyed in Orphelium’s aura. “-Sarcanus!-” Avrin willed the armor to quickly cover him, and in an instant, it did. But despite it, the force of the attacks still managed to significantly beat him around. Avrin tried his best to remain conscious and focused. Every drop of blue blood that came out of a wound would be willed to dissipate so Orphelium couldn’t use it.

“Stop playing around and give me dark matter!! You think some silly armor is going to protect you!?!” Orphelium seemed bored yet irritated, but at that moment, Avrin snickered.

“How about this...” Previously, when Avrin had finished converting Seleria, he had willed the rods of Sarcanus to shoot away to be used later when Orphelium arrived, and when the creature came back, how could it detect dark matter as a being of mana. The rods had snuck up on its coiled body, and in a moment they shot forth like needles towards Orphelium’s body.

But surprisingly, the creature was quite durable, and the needles only managed to scratch the surface and draw an insignificant amount of blood not even enough to be considered food for a leech. Though Orphelium had great control of its body and it still felt that small amount of pain, which on reflex caused it to wince slightly. “Huh?!” It’s Divine Sense surged around and it noticed the rods and the small scratch on its enormous body. “You actually managed to hurt me? Now you’ve done it...”

Suddenly, Orphelium’s body emitted a white light, shining briefly and then dissipating, revealing a figure the size of a human. This figure was covered in snake-like scales yet had long, gritty green hair that reached near his lower back. His hands were like claws and his lower half was similar to a snake. Though the face was somewhat handsome, it was contorted slightly, with a large horn piercing from the forehead and the pale complexion this creature had, one could not deny the terrifying aura Orphelium’s current form held.

Avrin quickly willed the rods to return around him as his eyes narrowed while looking at Orphelium. “I figured a form that big would be uncomfortable.... This being has many tricks.” Avrin wiped away the droplets of red blood that were still strong enough to not freeze in the vacuum of space.

Avrin, wearing Sarcanus and wielding Astaroth, looked like an angel of death, but compared to Orphelium’s terrifying pressure it was nothing noteworthy. “Make your move.” Avrin spoke soundly, and then blinked, but the moment he blinked, Orphelium had vanished.

Though Avrin’s eyes widened, he quickly turned around and saw a grin on the creature’s face. It swung its tail and smashed it against Avrin’s side. The force of the blow rattled his insides. He entered unconsciousness, but woke up in a near second. He was helplessly blown away as a wave of pressure formed from Orphelium’s attack.

He shot out through the darkness of space at a speed that made his skin ripple. He felt like several minutes had gone by before he finally regained his footing. But he was wounded heavily and vomited blood. His stomach had a tear, his lungs were injured and his ribcage was broken in several places. He felt miserable, but thankfully he had an impressive body and dark matter to aid him. Regardless, the wound was quite serious, and all the blood he vomited was blue and infused with dark matter.

Orphelium appeared and stood a meter away from him as it gazed at the blue blood with curiosity. It then watched as the blood turned red in front of its eyes. “I told you, I need a dark core...or energy that equals or surpasses it… If you don’t give me what I want, I’ll just torture you till you do!!”

Orphelium’s right hand slashed downwards towards Avrin’s chest. Avrin quickly backed away a little. The slash itself contained force, which knocked him back, but it was mainly focused on piercing and cutting. When Avrin stood back up, he felt a bit relieved that he still had his limbs. But when he glanced at the chest plate of Sarcanus, his expression paled. Three small slash marks had appeared on it.

Avrin was speechless. He had never seen his God Essence equipment damaged before, but considering Orphelium’s power, it would make sense. Avrin knew that if he had all fragments of Sarcanus then no matter how much Orphelium tried, it could never hurt or even hope to wound Avrin. But that was a thought that made him want to feel better about the situation.

“That’s some nice armor you have. I think I’ll pry it off your corpse when I’m done and use it for myself. Such strong metal can’t have any common background....hmm...wait a second...”

Orphelium vanished again, reappearing in front of Avrin. It reached out and grabbed his throat as if he was a helpless chicken. It then glanced carefully at the armor and quivered a little. “G...God Essence!!! It feels like God Essence.. There is no way you have armor made from God Essence, it can’t be forged!!”

Avrin was pissed off. He clenched his teeth and a berserk look appeared in his eyes. “Don’t know as much as you think, do you?” He willed Limos to appear and in a swift moment he gripped onto it with his right hand and smashed it against Orphelium’s face, taking advantage of his shock.

Orphelium finally regained his composure and, when he turned his right eye to look at what hit his face, he spotted a single eye looking back. Orphelium, at that moment, felt a trace of fear, because a pair of lips suddenly formed out of thin air as if they were happy to meet Orphelium. These lips opened into a mouth with no bottom and suddenly Orphelium’s mana began to be drawn to it at a rapid pace.

“You.....what a nasty device. Fuck off!!” Orphelium balled his right hand before punching towards Limos. The force of the punch smashed against Limos and space seemed to quiver and shake before Limos let out a pitiful screech and was smashed away into the darkness of space. Before it got far, Avrin quickly willed it back, trying to fight back the pain of his body.

He had felt that nearly seconds had passed, but Limos had devoured a surprising amount of energy that may not be considered a lot for Orphelium, but was useful for Avrin. Limos reverted to energy that was then stored back into Avrin’s eye.

Orphelium was amazed as he watched this occur. He suddenly moved his right hand onto Avrin’s face and used his claw like thumb and index finger to pry open his eyelid. “Interesting....very interesting… Is this a power of God’s Heart?... To forge God Essence? Maybe I should invoke the cycle myself....but maybe if I take your eyes I’ll be able to find a way to use those weapons...”

Orphelium revealed a menacing look of greed as he considered removing Avrin’s eyes. Avrin reached over towards Orphelium’s face and grinned. “Let me mess with yours first, bastard...” He suddenly made a grabbing move before he pulled the fabric of space back. This made Orphelium feel a hint of danger. He quickly let go of Avrin and jumped back.

At that moment, Avrin let go of the fabrics, which shot back into place, and a heavy distortion was sent towards Orphelium, who raised his hand to meet the distortion. With both colliding, a ripple shot out, and Orphelium’s expression twisted a little. That was because he found that his hand was a little numb. Avrin clutched his throat as he watched his ability be dispersed with ease.

“You’re full of surprises.... Let's play a little more, than!” Orphelium gave an open mouthed smile, revealing dagger-like teeth. He suddenly began to speak. “Vu’yuhis Vysti’sito Myung’ytrin,” from there, a series of quick flash-like incantations followed, and above Orphelium, a set of runic symbols formed before a sphere covered by plates of blue light with static lightning around them formed.

Soon after, the plates of blue light spun in a circular motion before shooting outwards. These then began to circle around Avrin from all sorts of angles while shooting bolts of lightning at him. “Dance little guy, dance!! Hahahaha!” Orphelium was clearly playing with Avrin, not taking him seriously at all. Avrin avoided all the lightning bolts he could. He knew these were at most as strong as a peak High Deity. Every time it collided with Sarcanus, it gave him a bit of a push, which made his already wounded insides feel worse for wear. But he still had the ability to dodge them.

He wanted to will Limos out again, but he found he was unable to, as if it refused or was damaged somehow. He couldn’t blame it. After all, it took a point blank hit from a peak Primordial Entity. He had no choice but to use Sarcanus and Astaroth to slash at a majority of the bolts. His speed was astonishing, but he didn’t have any skill in avoidance techniques. He wondered how his father would fair, since he came from a world of Qi he assumed they had special martial arts skills that made use of agile dodging.

Orphelium suddenly raised his left hand. In it, a blade was formed and  Orphelium jumped into the encirclement, as he was unable to resist “Don’t forget about me!” He shouted with a livid expression of anger as he began to slash away at Avrin.

Avrin was going full force. He was stuck using Astaroth to counter Orphelium’s barrage of attacks while also trying to dodge the lightning bolts. Space began to shake and ripple as Avrin roared out and began to pick up the pace.

He used a Void Step to quickly avoid a downward slash by Orphelium and appeared next to a magic circle before slashing it apart with Astaroth. From there, he began to repeat this again and again. “You damn...” Orphelium was clearly irritated. It suddenly began another incantation. After a few moments, which was enough time for Avrin to finish dealing with the magic circles, Orphelium finished his incantation.

Avrin glanced above after a bright orange light shined down on him, and his pupils dilated. A meteor engulfed in a blue light and emitting a green mist shot down towards him.

Avrin’s heart began to beat quicker as dark matter engulfed him. His body began to shift and change. Sarcanus was unable to accommodate for the shift. It vanished and stored itself inside of Avrin’s inner workings again. Avrin had rushed an augmentation over his body. The pain was near unbearable, but his body was even more monstrous looking than Orphelium’s. He looked like a hulking creature with horns protruding from his body, yet his skin was pitch black with a radiance of purple light with specks of dark matter shifting around him.

Astaroth was nearly dwarfed by his height and bulky, muscular appearance. His eyes were a deep blue and purple, emitting a smoky trail of a black aura. He clutched onto Astaroth and his arms tensed up with the veins pushing against his skin. He wasn’t sure what hurt more, the pain of the quick, forced augmentation or if he let this attack hit him.

Astaroth let out a wailing sound as the closed eye on its blade head suddenly opened, revealing a deep, near crimson pupil that seemed angered. It emitted a roar of large proportion and the head went berserk and extended out, growing several meters larger.

Orphelium was stunned as he watched all this happen. “It’s good that I didn’t drag this on.... If this scrawny fool had more time to develope and grow stronger, it would have made things a bit more difficult. That spell is at the level of an Ancient Deity, does he really think...” Orphelium went quiet as he noticed Astaroth’s change, and in a moment, Avrin cleaved downward with the blade. Though a strange thing occurred. The scythe’s tip had seemingly pierced into a fabric of space, and had stopped for a moment. This had caused slight cracks to form and a large sort of dark vacuum to follow.

“GO!!” Avrin shouted out with a deep, coarse, demonic tone as he used all his strength to slash downwards and complete his attack. Astaroth screeched with excitement as it ripped downwards, tearing a hole in space. The hole enlarged and a monstrously strong vacuum followed. The meteor’s green, mist-like aura was absorbed by it and the meteor soon followed, as it was drawn into this tear. Although it dwarfed it in size, it was ripped to shreds by it.

Avrin began to feel his body loosen and his skin cut apart, with some of his flesh being torn off and absorbed into this abyssal tear. He snickered and was ready to Divine Step away if he needed to, but he suddenly felt a grip on one of the large spikes on his back.
