V4: Chapter 105 Acting Like Children.

!!!!! Pr Credits To Draconis Who Constantly Helps With SR chapters, Please take the time to rep him for his work :)

A Big thank you to Sr's Donators!

Evening! here is your weekly chapter, i will be heading interstate tomorrow for a small family trip. I will be back this Sunday, so it wont affect the release's of sr. That being said there isn't really much for me to say.

If any errors or mistakes are found please comment below once as i read all the comments and don't need to be spammed :3

P.S i got some pms regarding the announcement for donations aswell as if i have a patreon, i need to clarify some things. i will just put my answers in a spoiler tag right under this post.

Spoiler :

1- donations for sr are a optional thing, when it comes to money i am well off i have a full time job etc that pays well, donations are always used for illustrations, that being said although the thought is appreciated, please do not think i am in desperate need of it, only donate from kindness to assist sr when you feel like it.

2- I do not have a patreon account nor do i feel the need to make one. I do not feel that it is necessary, writing for me is about easing my life and living a dream that has been made possible thanks to you, my readers.

3- For me donations are just casual things given out of kindness to help support my story and that's it. I am in no means in dire straits, i write because i love to, and building up a reader base is much more important.

please read the mighty penguin emperors post here http://royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=24789 oh yes some advice for authors, do not start off writing here because you think you can strike it big with donations, not only does it lead you no where, it affects the way people see you, and it makes your story lack self respect. writing should be done because you love the story, that way it will always improve.

Enjoy Ch 105!

-------------

After two hours of talking to the representatives, Avrin had grown bored of their talk and told them he was feeling tired. Thus, the two had decided to bid him farewell. They each gave him a special crystal card with their respective emblems.

Of course, it was a magical crystal card that acted as a kind of identification, which would help him contact either of the two when he arrived in Altea.

When the two left to alert the others in their organizations, Avrin was alone with the headmaster, who gave a heavy sigh. “Young man, you have caused a chain reaction. To think that my Leymist Academy has such a powerful individual.. I didn't think Norith’s was serious, but now I know that a young dragon exists here.”

Avrin could only smile. “Headmaster's words are too much for me.” The headmaster laughed again before nodding. “I can't say much, Herth, but judging by your power and your age, ranking you as a Copper student is an error.“

The headmaster reached into his drawer and pulled out a small crystal sphere that had a metallic glow. It began to float to Avrin before landing in his hands.

Avrin gazed curiously at it, before the crystal sphere melted and the liquid was absorbed by his outfit. Within moments, the ragged Copper outfit emitted a heavy white light that soon vanished, revealing a beautiful, cleaner piece of clothing.

The adornments that were of Copper color were replaced with a beautiful, transparent, Diamond counterpart. Avrin could guess what it meant.

“Diamond rank is perfectly suited for Leymist’s most astounding student. Your presence here will surely skyrocket my academy’s reputation. I know this is too much to ask for, but I hope you don't forget my academy and your time here.

Despite it being a bit strange, it can only be my fault.“ The headmaster, who Avrin came to know as Owen, spoke sincerely.

Avrin wasn't sure what to say, but finally came up with a response. “I will not forget my time here.” The headmaster smiled. “I apologize for keeping you here, Herth. You may leave now.” Avrin stood up and began to make his way out after bowing. “Oh, and Herth, sleep well. In a week, one of the staff will escort you to the Dark Abyss Chasm entrance with the other students who came within the top 3 of the tournament.”

Avrin nodded and silently left. After the door was shut, the headmaster raised a brow and rubbed his beard. “What a mysterious boy…” Once Avrin left, a grin appeared on his face. The moment he left the headmaster’s area, the students that saw him enter with a Copper rank outfit and leave with a Diamond rank one could only gasp with awe.

Of course, there were many more students who gathered here, as the tournament had ended with Wynfa coming second and Lazgen coming third, with the first spot reserved for Avrin. Avrin turned somewhat pale as he looked at all the students from different rankings gaze at him and whisper to each other.

Avrin remained calm. To him, these looked like a pack of confused hyenas. He carefully made his way through while keeping his calm look. No one dared stand in his way, but someone went over to him and began to talk.

“Junior Herth, I represent the Callas family. Would you be interested in joining an event in a few days!” From there, several other students rushed over and began to make offers to him, trying to rope him in and gain reputation.

Avrin felt irritated because his personal space had been invaded. He remained quiet while being slowed down, but to his delight, a voice roared out. “What are you monkeys doing trying to irritate friend Herth!” That roar caused everyone to shudder before quickly moving aside.

It was Mahck, who gave a strong glance at everyone before making his way to Avrin and laughing. “Friend Herth, you need to be more forceful with your words, or people will take advantage of you!” Mahck laughed again. Avrin could only helplessly stare at him, who seemed to think this was a joke.

“Thank you.” Avrin spoke. “Nonsense! We are friends! Anyway, you must be hungry. Why don't we go to the cafeteria and get something to eat! I'm sure the other people in my alliance won't dare tell you off this time, hahaha.”

Avrin figured as much. They probably asked Mahck to invite Avrin over to talk. Of course, Avrin had no desire to join them. Despite him and Mahck walking while Mahck offered this, the gazes of the students and whispers didn't die down.

“It's a tempting offer, Mahck, but I'll have to refuse for today. I’m quite tired and want to rest.” Mahck nodded. “That's fine, friend Herth! Oooh your outfit is more awesome than mine now. Well, it suits you. I'll be off first. Rest well!” And just like that, Mahck left after bidding Avrin farewell. He seemed a bit relieved for some reason.

Avrin, of course, went back to his room. The time was four in the afternoon. Occasionally people would knock on the door, and after asking who it was, it was always people trying to rope him in. Eventually, he created a sign from Nebula Mist and hung it outside the door for people not to disturb him. It seemed to work well.

When the time reached nine pm, Avrin’s body turned to dark purplish ash. He used his Void Step to teleport to the exact location within the forest that he and Lilia had met. Of course, within the dark, a robed figure jumped in surprise at the sudden appearance of the purple glowing ash that formed a young individual with a Diamond ranked outfit.

After getting over her surprise, Lilia said, “Ah, there you are. I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up..” She spoke with a bit of worry. Avrin raised a brow and spoke. “Nonsense, it's still early. But I apologize for keeping you waiting.”

Lilia grinned before continuing. “I can't believe you made such a commotion within the tournament, but since personal, I won't ask.” Avrin could only nod in acceptance.

“Well then, why did you want to meet back here the night the tournament ends? I suppose it’s to discuss the next step?” Avrin spoke. Lilia nodded and white mana formed around her hands before expanding into four white cubes of light that were slightly transparent with a round white sphere in the middle.

“This is a representation of the seal formation used to hold my father…. I was only able to discover this during the time my sister wanted to free my father before she found that it was too hard. With the Sigil weapon Void, it was only possible to deduce it.

The seal formation is called Light Square Heaven Lock, created by the Angel Lord Abbadon. Anyone weaker than a Sigil wielder will find it impossible to break out of.

Avrin felt it wouldn't be a problem. If he could kill a dragon, than this lock would pose no threat for Astaroth. “Breaking this lock should be simple for me.” Hearing these words, Lilia smiled, before giving a serious look.

“I don't doubt your power…. You're quite mysterious, but I will trust you. But, don't underestimate this lock. Although it is possible to break, the moment one of them shatters it will alert Abbadon…”

Avrin’s face twisted a bit. He remembered the angel Abbadon from when he was in the prison. He could fight both Myra and Syrana while defending his comrade and still seemed to be holding back in Avrin’s eyes. Going by the fact that he was also an angel, Avrin didn't doubt that other than the dragons and gods, he was the most powerful person on Seleria.

“That is a problem…” Avrin was lost in thought, but Lilia smiled. “Don't think too badly. If you can destroy those seals quick enough, even Abbadon, who is at the Mythical level, will most likely not arrive quick enough. Although you're extremely powerful, my father will be weakened greatly. You can rely on this to escape.”

Lilia reached into her robe and pulled out a pendant that seemed to look familiar. It was within moments that he saw it looked identical to the one the female of the group of three demons that attacked him used to escape. If even he, who couldn't detect them after they vanished with his Divine Sense, couldn't find them, what chance did Abbadon have? This pendant was a life saving item and very useful.

“When you have my father in your grasp, throw it onto the ground and it will transport anyone with demon blood or whoever they are touching to a gateway within the demon continent. This is incredibly hard to make and my sister only ever made three of these. It's a one use item, so please be careful.”

Avrin carefully took it with a bit of greed in his eyes before storing it in the enchanted bag at his side. Avrin felt somewhat excited. This task would possibly lead him to Skymetal. At the very least, if that ore wasn't Skymetal, it may at the very least be a Legendary ore. But he also needed to be careful. He found out that Abbadon was a Mythical ranked being.

He could only guess that the other Sigil wielders and dragons were at that level too. He got lucky when fighting that heavy earth dragon. Thinking about how it nearly killed him made his blood quiver and face turn somewhat pale.

“I'll take my leave.“ Avrin turned and was about to leave, but Lilia used her speed to quickly appear behind him and grasp onto his left hand. Her hand was quite smooth, and her grasp was strong. He was a bit surprised and turned to look at her, about to ask what she was doing, but he saw a sad, pleading look in her eyes.

“Please….save my father...he isn't bad at all...he was tricked...please save him..” Avrin noticed that she looked hopeless. He could only imagine what hardships she went through. Everyone but her within the demon race had given up, and even then, she was a half. “I'll do my best..” He spoke before turning to ash and disappearing.

Later that night, when he arrived back in his room, he went into a meditative position to resume his training. His inner workings were truly a marvel to behold. It was at the moment he entered that his body felt lighter, yet more durable. As if a door was opened and a torrent that was built up behind it had burst forth, making the flow easier to bare.

“-100% converted into Type 4 particles!-” Avrin was surprised at the timing. Despite this, he quickly rushed to examine one. With his consciousness opening towards the book that God had given him and went over the next step. But after reading it carefully, he felt a little disappointed.

“-Type 1 to Type 5 is considered entry stage. Once I’ve converted it all to Type 5 particles, I have to baptize them within my Dark Space. After this, each particle will be imbued with a coating of special liquid dark matter that they will absorb. Only this special dark matter substance is enough to advance them to the next stage, Type 1 Dark Particle, to Type 5 Dark Particles. Liquid dark matter?-”

Avrin quickly thought of a section to do with liquid dark matter and came across some information as the book turned to a new page. “-Liquid dark matter is a large amount of dark matter that is compressed and changed until it enters a sludge-like liquid state. As one's Dark Space increases in strength, it is possible to create a more pure and transparent liquid. The purer the liquid, the stronger the baptized particles will be, allowing one to advance them to the next stage-”

Avrin went over this information carefully. In the end, his Dark Space had another use. It converted the dark matter it absorbed into liquid dark matter?-” Avrin moved his consciousness over after willing a particle to the Dark Space.

He carefully moved it into the dark, purple vortex, and it was instantly absorbed before shooting out just as quickly as it was sucked in. The originally dim purple particle was now covered with a heavy deep purple and black sludge.

“-This is liquid dark matter?...It must be that my Dark Space isn't strong enough-” As Avrin said this, the dark matter-like sludge was quickly absorbed by the transparent particle and it was contained within. Soon, the particle itself seemed to be refining the sludge and than absorbing it into itself. Avrin was somewhat relieved.

He felt that he didn't have to shorten the amount of particles he had anymore and could now individually upgrade them.

“-Perfect…-” As Avrin watched the Type 4 particle try to absorb the dark matter sludge, he saw it shudder before imploding. Avrin sighed quietly. “-No wonder a Type 5 particle is required. Type 4 particles aren’t strong enough. Very well. It does me no harm-”

With a thought, the Type 4 C.Particles began to convert each other, becoming Type 5 C.Particles. Avrin knew the process would take a while. Time went on, and Avrin wanted to spend the next week purely on meditation to increase his body’s capabilities, but he was summoned several times by the headmaster as well as other teachers.

He also received gifts such as rare concoctions that will help one grow stronger, all on the good will of Gaia and the Empire’s eagerness to get him to their side.

Avrin could only sigh, as the benefits both offered were intriguing. The alchemical potions were definitely interesting. He didn't dare convert any of them to dark matter and absorb them. He just stuffed them in his enchanted bag for storage. He would one day hand them over to a hopefully high potentialed alchemist to study that may in turn one day help him and the other Spectrals.

Avrin couldn't be too greedy, but the rest, such as the occasional Rare weapon and elegant clothing, were absorbed by him. He had no need for weapons of such quality, and as for the clothing, if he was accepted, it would come in handy to manifest it out again and wear it in the proper situation.

One day, when Avrin was summoned by the headmaster, Avrin expressed his interest in reading rare, unique books. The headmaster had reminded him that there is a Diamond rank section in the library that doesn't have many books, but each one is priceless and rare.

Of course, these would be kept a careful eye on, with only the best among the Diamond rank students being able to borrow, meaning Avrin and the leaders of the Phoenix and Lotus Alliances. Avrin eagerly left and made his way to the library.

By this stage, he didn't bother to keep himself with a low profile. Wearing his Diamond rank uniform, he made his way through the lower stages of the library until he neared the Diamond rank section.

Of course, there were many eyes locked onto him. Some with envy, others with awe, while some even disdain. Despite all this, everyone had to agree on one thing. Currently, Avrin was the number one force within Leymist.

His ability was so powerful, even the teachers were unable to resist it. Some teachers at peak Expert and even early and mid Master level, with even the headmaster, who is a peak Master level existence were barely able to resist. Of course, Avrin didn't overdo it with his Phantom Pulse. If that was the case, not even Grandmasters would be safe from him.

A person noticed Avrin and quickly rushed over, as a chance was seen. “Herth! Please, wait a moment.” Avrin stopped and curiously turned around to see that Ley had rushed over. He looked pale and nervous.

“Oh, it's you. Ley was it? What's wrong?” Avrin waited for his answer. Ley, of course, could see Avrin’s attitude didn't change and seemed calm. Ley knew that it was his mistake provoking a powerful being like Avrin.

“I..wanted to apologize… Please forgive my actions… I never knew...you were this powerful…” Avrin frowned a little. This boy seemed to be spoiled just from those words. “Because I'm powerful you're apologizing?... But because you thought I was weak, it was ok to bully me like that?”

Hearing Avrin’s words, Ley grew scared, and even some surrounding students from the Lotus Alliance and others were watching silently. “That.. I never meant it like that… I-” Avrin cut him off with a soft chuckle and spoke. “There’s no reason to apologize. You were never a threat to me anyway. It was just a casual situation.” Avrin said before walking off.

These words, though, left Ley stunned and angry, yet fearful. In Avrin’s eyes, Ley was nothing but trash, even though he didn't say it. Despite Ley provoking Avrin, it seemed that to Ley, Avrin thought he wasn't even worth getting revenge on.

Avrin continued on and finally reached the section. After a bit of time, he found several interesting books. Some were high level magic spells which, of course, were interesting to read, but useless to him. Others were martial arts techniques that were also useless when compared to the White Dragon clan’s teachings.

Avrin gave a sigh before he decided to give up. As he turned to leave and walked past the shelves, he spotted a dusty, somewhat broken book. Avrin had watched a few movies and shows where a broken, ancient book would be some special life changing item.

He went for broke and took it out, looking at the front. It was brown and blank, made from beast hide barely kept together by tendon-like strings. After Avrin opened it, he looked carefully at it. He frowned.

Despite being able to read a majority of the languages used on Seleria thanks to that elven sphere, he could not in the least understand these symbols and shapes. They made ancient egyptian hieroglyphics look incredibly easy. Avrin wasn't able to tell where one letter ended and another started.

“Interesting…” Avrin quickly absorbed the book and, within a minute, hidden between the bookshelves, he manifested it again after keeping a copy to make later on if he ever discovered some secrets.

Avrin knew this branch academy didn’t have a good reputation when compared to the other places. That being said, he also knew that the importance of this academy was significantly higher than the rest. It was a so called watch post in the guise of an academy, meant to keep those who are sided with the former demon king from finding out about it.

That being said, the academy still held valuable books. The headmaster was still someone at a high level, most likely even higher than other branch academies. This was meant to keep things secure for the Dark Abyss Chasm, but it also meant that the possibility of obtaining rare books for Laymist would increase. But it was just a passing thought Avrin had as he began to make his way down from the higher levels of the library.

“Herth!” A soft, feminine voice called out. This caught Avrin’s attention. He glanced at the girl who wore glasses, with flaming hair similar to Lazgen’s. This was Phrea. “Do I know you?” Avrin spoke softly. But he knew this girl was most likely from the Phoenix Alliance.

“Not at all, Herth. Actually, I’ve come on behalf of the Phoenix Alliance and Senior Lazgen, who wanted to apologise deeply. If you have some spare time, may I borrow you for a few minutes?” At this stage of his progress, these two alliances were nothing more than a hindrance to Avrin.

He had already established a reputation and appearance he was satisfied with, meaning that these two alliances would most likely try to rope him in at all costs to help them in the future by relying on him. Avrin had one thought for these two organisations, and that he considered them leeches with no real dignity.

“I don't see why not.” That being said, Avrin wasn't a boring guy. He was qutie curious to see how they could rope him in. At his words, Phrea’s beating heart slowed down a bit. Feeling relieved, she smiled and escorted Avrin to the cafeteria.

Within the Lotus section, several of the members were enjoying themselves, talking about the tournament and upcoming events. Mahck, Yuvi and Fiora were all discussing, but at that moment, one of the members pointed with shock.

“I..Isn't that Herth, the unofficial winner of the tournament?” In that instant everyone from the Lotus Alliance turned to look, seeing Phrea lead Herth towards the Phoenix Alliance’s cafeteria boundary. “Phrea…” Yuvi bit her lower lip with anger, and even Mahck had a surprised look, but only gave a regretful laugh.

“What did they do to even get him to come over?...” Fiora was stunned for a moment before clenching her fists. She stood up and made her way towards the two. Several Lotus Alliance members quickly followed after her.

Currently, Phrea was explaining to Avrin the origins of her alliance. “Herth, in the end, our Phoenix Alliance strives to establish ourselves as a noble organisation, to reach the peak and become a superpower.” She seemed quite elated by boasting about her side. Of course, Avrin was quite bored.

“Oh, Herth, I thought you would be preparing to enter the Dark Abyss Chasm.” Fiora called out and looked at Avrin and Phrea with a warm smile, several Lotus Alliance members standing behind her.

Phrea gave a sour look. Before Avrin could open his mouth, Phrea spoke. “Fiora, I find it amazing how you suddenly appear when I have Herth. I have heard about your attitude towards him when he dined with you lot. Have you no shame coming here?”

Phrea’s words were like fire, with no intention of being easy or lenient at all towards Fiora, who now had a look as sharp as a dagger directed right towards Phrea. “Phrea, as usual, you always spew such venomous hatred. We have wronged Herth, and I am merely here to make up for it.”

The argument continued to go back and forth and attracted the attention of many people, including Phrea’s alliance members, who came over to support her. Avrin showed a look of disdain and annoyance before he turned and walked off. Clearly, these people were still children in his eyes.

Having left, he returned to his room and entered a meditative position and began to quietly train, awaiting the day he would be allowed to enter the Dark Abyss Chasm. It was only after after a few minutes did both Fiora and Phrea realise Avrin had already left.

Fiora, of course, had a grin on her face, glad that the Phoenix Alliance had been disrupted, while Phrea had a twisted look of annoyance. She wanted to curse at Fiora, but knew it would not help the current situation. She now had to explain to Lazgen these childish antics.

Time passed on, and although Avrin had several people come to attempt to win him over, he simply ignored them. The time today was 10:00 am, and the day that he and several others would be entering the Dark Abyss Chasm.
