Early Release! figured if i release chapters early when i can, you guys will forgive me more often when chapters are late, this weeks release is here, its a bit of a slow start but things pick up.
So i'v purchased level 2 status in regards to the new advertisement feature, i figured i shouldn't be so cheap and at least put more effort other then artwork in hopes of increasing my reader base, not to mention it helps royalroad grow.
i was just going over the best rated stories to see which newcomers have made it to the list and noticed Forgotten Conqueror is over 50k average views strong! that is crazy! but i also saw he hasn't updated in 29 days or so, so hopefully he gets back asap otherwise i will have front row seats for when his readers hold those pitchforks against him >.> hehehe no author enjoys that.
other then my rambling enjoy this chapter! Authors note in regards to several pm questions i have recieved
Also enjoy here is a current list on the levels of power minus the ones i havent introduced yet. this is the accepted ranking in all 5 univeres, some races may have special titles they grant their own powerhouses but in the end this ranking is the core one.
beginner - trained - intermediate - expert - master- grandmaster - sage- mythical- legendary - New Diety - High Deity - Elder Diety - Ancient Deity- Supreme Deity - Primordial Entity - Cosmic Entity
i made a mistake a few chapters ago in regards to legendary and mythical, in this case i wrote that abbadon going full force was at the early legendary level and syrana aswell at the early legendary level, at this point the sigil wielders are at the mythical level, so its to deep into the lore of the stort to change, thus i simply made legendary above mythical, and will go change the fact that syrana is now syrana from being at the early legendary to the early mythical, this was brought up to my attention by a loyal reader, so im quite grateful

Avrin knew that time passed on slowly in his inner workings. He thought carefully about his recent choices and how he had to leave his people again soon to train. He remembered back as a human reading a chinese light novel that had been translated to garner more attention. In this novel, the main character would meditate for awhile and return to defeat any foes or take revenge upon those who had hurt his family.
Avrin couldn't help but give an embarrassed smile. His father was a Deity of the third universe, which was formed by Qi. Avrin had no intention of being someone who followed such a path, he was himself and no more.
Avrin was certain that five months had passed, and his particles were no longer being trained separately. He was short on time and decided to train both. His C.Particles were at 65% Type 12 completion, while his normal particles were at 40% Type 12 completion. He was certain he would be able to finish in one year and have a little time to spare. That being said, he eased up and spoke soundly within his inner workings.
“Can you tell me more about these Fragments of God?” His voice echoed across his body. He suddenly felt his soul shake for an instant before he turned to look at his side, seeing the image of God, who was floating with his hands behind his back while looking around Avrin’s inner workings casually.
Many people would often think of strange ideas that they were a reincarnation of a religious figure, but right now God was within his body. This was quite a strange feeling, but he ignored it as the figure spoke. “About these fragments? Well, I can shed some light as it is part of the trade. You have to know that other than this universe, there are four more, each one having a Fragment of God that relates to it.
The first universe is made of dark matter. The fragment you possess relates to creation and destruction. The second universe contains the Body of God, which is God’s immortality. The third universe, the most fun to watch in my opinion, contains the Soul of God. That universe is made of Qi. In fact, the first three universes were born at the same time, though the third universe grew quite powerful. Your eastern tales are influenced somewhat by Deities that had wandered through many years ago.
Moving on, the fourth universe is the most mysterious out of the five. It contains the fragment relating to the mind or Imagination of God. Describing it would take too long, so I’ll move on to this universe, the fifth universe. This uses the Voice and Breath of God to make miracles, so to speak. Using spell incantations, one is able to make things happen. The Breath of God, which contains life force, is mana.
Avrin was very focused, doing well to etch this into his mind. His reason for asking is because he understood the importance of these fragments and needed to know just who may come after him if they discovered he had one. “Why wasn’t I reborn within my own universe?” This question was quite simple, but he assumed there was a reason.
God looked at Avrin and a featureless grin curved upward on his face. “If we were to compare potential and speed, if each fragment was born in their respective universes, they would progress at exponential speeds. You will come to understand this later on. You have to know I’ve set rules in place. Everything must be perfectly balanced and perfectly started. When one Inheritor dies, another will not be reborn until they are all dead.
Avrin’s expression changed slightly, remembering the scene of the boxes that God had shown him. “There must have been many people who possessed the fragment I have. I wonder how powerful they were...” Avrin could only helplessly sigh, but his eyes widened as he heard God’s laughter echo across his inner workings, causing his particle advancement to cease for a moment. God stopped laughing and looked as if he was remembering something.
“That truly did bring me back to a good memory. What a crazy man that was… Ah, back in those days humanity wasn’t even formed, but the universes were like gasoline and the inhabitants were the sparks flying right above it. Conflict was common, but the first Inheritor of God’s Heart, he almost had it all...” God shook his head before his smiled twisted into a disappointed frown and soon even that vanished as his lips disappeared.
Avrin took it as that individual being monstrously powerful and nothing more. “When I forged that white fragment of God Essence into armor, I noticed a green and orange light within my core. The orange light was in my blood when I felt anger....does...does the reason this heart tamper with my emotions have to do with cultivating those lights to use as power? Are my emotions a source of strength!?”
Avrin wanted an answer. If his heart, which had a small will of its own, intended to tamper with his emotions, he wanted to know the reason. He wanted to be certain of how to control this for his own gain and not for his doom.
“The Heart of God is heavier than existance, containing all sorts of unimaginable feelings and emotions. These emotions are more important than you think, Avrin. They are part of your power, but whether you are able to control them or them control you, well that’s your issue.” God’s answer was quite conflicting, but at the very least it confirmed his suspicions. The emotions he felt, as long as they were strong, would change his power relating to that emotion.
He thought silently for a moment. Orange had to do with anger, burning like the sun, and green, he wasn’t certain when he formed that, but because of the color, he attributed it to some sort of positive emotion.
“Can you offer me any valuable information?” Avrin didn’t dare consider himself a genius, nor was he arrogant enough to not use an opportunity like this to improve himself. “Oh, is that your use of a favor?”
Avrin’s expression twisted a little while he carefully thought. In the end, it would help him, so he wouldn’t hold back as he most likely had more opportunities. “That it is.” The moment he finished speaking, God raised his left hand and pointed towards Avrin’s head.
In that moment, flashes of light appeared in Avrin’s mind. Many, many images of tips, clues and more information to do with the past, present and even God Essence, though it all stopped for a moment as it showed the vast emptiness of space. Avrin gazed for a moment as he looked at this emptiness, with only the stars littered about. He suddenly felt as if space trembled for a moment. He looked to his side and saw a massive leviathan-like creature that dwarfed Seleria shoot like a planet that had been flung out of orbit. Avrin quivered slightly, because he could feel this creature was even stronger than his grandfather.
As these images appeared in his mind, he came to know that this was the Primordial Entity Orphelium, one of a handful that were at the peak of this level and unable to progress further, as if they were facing a mountain they couldn’t surpass.
Avrin didn’t know what Orphelium’s intentions were, but he could see the ravenous hunger in his moon sized eyes. Avrin turned to look in the direction the creature was headed, and he suddenly felt his body zoom at a speed faster than light before it slowed down and he gazed upon a blue and green bead.
Avrin knew this as Seleria. He knew the continent layouts by heart now, as he had used his Divine Sense a few times to feel them. Avrin’s expression was calm for a moment, before his heart shuddered and a look of intense danger crept up on him. “To here?! But why?”
Avrin quickly found himself tugged away from and back to his inner workings with God by his side. Avrin was stunned. He now knew where Orphelium was headed and it made him shiver. Just how could that creature know about Seleria, and why was it headed here? Avrin was quiet with an expression of urgency, as if he needed an answer.
“This interesting creature once obtained the fifth universe’s fragment. He didn’t invoke the Cycle of Reincarnation to rebirth himself, oh no. He was happy with his current self, but he used it to ask me to give him the easiest step to becoming a Cosmic Entity, and I gave him a faint sense that relied on himself to find Seleria and find this source of power. The restriction was, he was only allowed to use the physical speed of his body to travel.”
Avrin gazed at God with a look of shock and horror. He clenched his hands and spoke. “You.... You intended for this fragment to be his? No wonder I was born within this universe. You foresaw him obtaining it and asking for a way to advance easily. Judging by that creature’s look, he intends to eat me....”
Avrin felt his heartbeat quicken as he seemed a little rushed for time. “Don’t feel so bad. He doesn’t need to eat you to become a Cosmic Entity. You have raised quite a few resources. This is also a chance for you to befriend a powerful entity. Simply give him a couple hundred of the people you converted. Its not as if you can’t convert more.”
Avrin’s expression suddenly froze. He had a strange look as a thought crossed his mind. “Resources?...” His face paled a little, because at this moment he realised something. The people he converted were never meant to be a race that would grow alongside him, they were meant for him to convert and use as puppets and strengthen before he would pluck them and convert them into dark cores to absorb for himself. He suddenly felt that the heart he had inside of him was quite ominous and menacing.
“They aren’t resources!” Avrin’s expression flickered. It was at that moment that God seemed to look a little confused, before he realised something and laughed again. This laugh simply echoed, without causing a disturbance. “Ohhh! You never knew that your converts were simply resources? Avrin, you’re quite amazing.
After I managed to find this planet, which ticked a lot of boxes, from the safety it had to the God Essence and even the reason this planet was created, which was to raise Enigma users as cattle, I figured you would pick up on that and understand your situation was a little similar. You are an interesting fellow. It seems I owe you another favor! Well done, Avrin, well done. Though you only have around seven months before that crazy thing arrives to dine. He probably will eat the planet in one gulp.”
“He wants to eat my people? Over my dead body...” Avrin smirked, then glanced at God. “Everything is making sense now. The fragments, these universes, the hierarchy of it all, God Essence and the like. I dont have the full picture yet, but I can put many pieces together while I learn. “Seven months, huh...” Avrin began to think over something that was a little crazy.
“I wonder if he will let me convert him....” As Avrin spoke these words, God tilted his head a little. “So you can convert him into a Dark Core? I’ll tell you now, Avrin. The peak Primordial Entities of the five universes are very old. Orphelium has knowledge of God’s Heart and a little understanding on what you are capable of. There is no possibility he will let you convert him, for better or worse.”
Avrin simply sighed. He thought some more, “How can me and my people escape unharmed?” , He felt attached to these Spectrals. They had lost hope and were left to fend for themselves until they abandoned everything to try and find new life with him. There was no way he was going to let them die.
“Avrin....you know the answer to that...” As God spoke, Avrin looked at him carefully. He indeed knew how to save them. Avrin didn’t want to resort to such measures. If he perished afterwards, then regardless of what happens, they would be dead.
“If you helped him once to find me here, then I take it if I go somewhere else, you won’t assist him?” Avrin spoke in a somewhat serious tone. He wanted to be sure in regards to several matters. “The trade with Orphelium was simply to tell him the location of something he could eat, which in turn led to him hibernating for several thousand years.”
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Avrin looked at God and chuckled softly. “I can’t understand your mind at all, but I assume everything is planned and happens for a reason. In regards to the answer, if I do happen to choose that route, I have two favors left. One is in regards to saving my own life, the other is the one I just earned. May I use that new favor to help bring them back safely after the matter is handled?”
God clapped his hands together as if he were delighted. “Indeed! Now you’re using your brain a bit more, Avrin! If that path is taken, then I am able to completely return them to normal for that favor.”
Avrin smiled before glancing at a few particles that had just touched upon the strength to cause a slight tremble in space. “My people...huh… It seems I’ve grown attached to this world. I intend to bring it, as well.”
God looked at Avrin with a slightly surprised expression. He then spoke in a soft manner. “I assumed you intended to do that. After all, you still have quite a few people you are attached to that you would not like to see perish. Because no doubt if you and your people escape unharmed, Orphelium would not hesitate to remove this planet from existence. But Avrin, when you’re particle types are complete, you still won’t have the power to do this. It will expend too much.
The moment God finished talking, Avrin’s consciousness vanished. His physical body suddenly opened its eyes, and he grinned softly. “I do indeed know that, but I have a plan to escape that bastard.”
Avrin’s Divine Sense expanded out before he vanished. Within the palace above Seleria, Septim was enjoying a meal by himself. As the space distorted slightly and Avrin’s body formed from ash, Septim jumped in surprise. “It’s...you, Avrin? What are you doing here so soon?”
Avrin looked at Septim. He didn’t feel any real fear towards Septim, nor Orphelium. In fact, he was grateful to Septim. His plan couldn’t be achieved if it wasn’t for him. “The deal we made. I want ownership of Seleria. You guys are not allowed to interfere in it anymore. In return, I will give you a God Essence weapon when the agreement ends.
Septim looked at Avrin, astonished at first, before the greed in his eyes surfaced. His lips curved into a smile before he quickly spoke. “Agreed!! Hahahaha, yes, yes Avrin this planet is yours. In fact, by tomorrow, you won’t even find this palace here. We will move to the nearby moon.“
Avrin felt a sense of relief. He was now free to do as he pleased with this planet. One could say he was now the god of it. The feeling he felt when knowing he had ownership of a planet was strange. “I thank you.” Avrin gave a slight bow before he Divine Stepped away, as if he were in a rush.
Septim had an overwhelmingly happy look. He rubbed his hands together and began to eat from the laid out meal in front of him. “Hah… Perfect… Things are getting better. But I wonder why he wanted this planet?... Hmm, possibly to save those he cares about?”
Avrin was standing straight in the sky. Under his feet, space trembled slightly, as if it were a surface. He knew he had to think smarter, plan ahead carefully. He couldn’t be arrogant, nor ignorant, but at the same time he also had to be, so he would feel more curious.
He looked down at Seleria with a blank expression. Beside him, a figure appeared in an instant, again with their hands behind their back. “Ownership of Seleria. You’re quite lucky this Septim had that particular piece of God Essence. You may possibly escape out of this unharmed. But remember, the universe is a big place, and when you reach the peak of the Dark Stage I will no longer support you.”
When God spoke this, he knew exactly what Avrin planned to do. This involved Avrin even using up his final, life saving favor, so God didn’t expect to see Avrin when he reached the peak of the Dark Stage, which equalled a High Deity.
“Everything happens for a reason. Three pieces of God Essence within one system, on one planet. Even now I feel as if you were carefully preparing me for what’s out there.” Avrin spoke as he looked towards God, who remained quiet. Avrin knew this was part of the deal God made with his father. In this case, Orphelium was a little dumb and didn’t make his deal with God detailed. Obtaining a Fragment of God was not easy at all. Avrin didn’t doubt that even Cosmic Entities would greedily obtain these fragments if they knew where they were. Information was kept incredibly tight on these matters, as, if it spread, catastrophe would befall the universe.
Avrin’s body quivered for a moment before a trickle of silvery white light came down from his right eye. This liquid started off as a single, small line and began to grow at a rapid pace. Before long, Avrin’s body was engulfed in this liquid and it began to change and destroy his clothing, changing and reforming it.
This had happened in ten seconds total, and as the liquid settled, the God Essence forged armor was revealed on Avrin. The feeling he felt in this armor was that he was invincible. He now knew much more in regards to this. One fragment of God Essence had power equal to an Ancient Deity, and every fragment he obtained, this power would go up a level. Only when he obtained all the fragments would it come full circle and grant that piece of equipment raw power equalling up to two Cosmic Entities’. Though Avrin knew that finding these other fragments would be very close to impossible and would take a long time.
The bleach white skeletal wings that seemed like rods protruding from his back suddenly began to surge with white and a purplish black energy, white signalling the energy of the God Essence and the other representing dark matter. These strange glowing rods suddenly shot off Avrin’s armor before swirling around him and then shooting off in all directions like flashes of light.
Avrin was using so much of his focus that beads of sweat were flowing down his forehead and cheek. He didn’t move an inch as he did this. He willed these rods to stab deep into each far point of Seleria, and a large octagon was formed.
The moment these rods found their mark, their points began to glow and in several moments, white veins shot from these rods and took root within the earth. They spread at a quick and visible pace.
Avrin felt his body weaken. With his current strength, he is able to control 70% of the power from the equipment he had. When he learned by the time he reaches the mid Void stage, he would be able to use the full power of Astaroth in its current form, as well as Limos and the armor. When they are created, the knowledge in regards to using them slowly melds into his mind over time, so figuring out their use wasn’t much of an issue.
He knew Limos was capable of absorbing any form of energy and using it as an attack or something beneficial to Avrin, though it had its limits. Its full power was as strong as an Ancient Deity. He didn’t want to fight against something on a higher realm than that using just one fragment.
This armor in particular had an interesting ability, though it required a large amount of energy consumption from him at this stage. He knew if he focused carefully, what he wanted to achieve would be done in time. He couldn’t afford to screw up or let the other gods know. It would put him in a bad position.
“Sarcanus...” God, who was beside Avrin, said. It made Avrin, who felt a little more at ease, turn towards him. “Sarcanus?” Avrin asked in confusion. God nodded with a smile. “The armor you have on. Call it Sarcanus.” Avrin’s eyes narrowed a little. Why did God decide on a name for his armor? Though before he could ask, God spoke. “When you find out what Sarcanus is, you will understand why I want you to name it as so.” With that said, God vanished, leaving Avrin a little stunned.
“Sarcanus, huh? That’s fine. I couldn’t think of a name for it anyway.” Avrin used his Divine Step again before landing softly on the summit of a snowy mountain. Though the weather did nothing to him, he was now focusing on managing the rods that were imbedded within Seleria.
Avrin knew the gods of Seleria wouldn’t be able to find him so easily, and because this was his planet due to Septim’s deal, he understood they couldn’t care less what Avrin did as long as he kept his end of the bargain.
A soft, excited screech sounded out as Avrin’s palms extended forward, with Limos forming between. Though when Limos appeared, Sarcanus, which was armor on his body, began to stir, as if it didn’t like being around Limos.
Avrin willed it to settle down. “--You’re now a generator....for the next seven months--” Avrin thought with a calm tone. Limos shivered slightly, as if it understood a little of what a generator meant and was displeased. But it didn’t dare refuse. It began to absorb the mana within the air at a rapid pace in a large area, and from there it would convert it into dark matter to store.
Avrin willed Sarcanus off his body and to form around Limos. It seemed to hesitate for a moment, but obeyed Avrin’s orders. There was no real fusion. It was as if a parasite was attached to Limos and it began to absorb the dark matter that Limos converted from mana.
Avrin formed a new set of clothing for himself. He knew he had to think of a way to deal with that issue. He looked at the two pieces of equipment. “--Sarcanus, the dark matter you absorb from Limos, use it to power the rods you sent--”
Avrin spoke using a telepathic link with these objects. He didn’t plan to stay here for seven long, boring months and feed Sarcanus. Everything was fitting in perfectly. Limos could absorb mana and convert it, and Sarcanus had an ability that could affect a planet. And Avrin intended to use it. Avrin already knew that God purposely set all these coincidental things for him to possibly use for this moment in time. It was just another show of God’s omnipotence. Though Avrin wasn’t negative towards it. In fact, he was somewhat afraid in regards to something else.
Extending his Divine Sense, he could see that Kael was leading Amias and Larissa. They were within the southern continent. Avrin knew it had been five months, most likely the three were looking for their families since things have calmed down. Avrin could also feel the Spectrals and the village they had formed on the surface. The village itself was larger than the hidden home they built within the mountain. While looking at them all he shuddered slightly.
“What a disgusting thought..... Spectrals were never meant to spread, but to be raised and bred to become sustenance for this heart? Do not think I will stoop so low. These are people who have given up everything and that are now relying on me. I still do not know as much as I would like to, but I will do my best to make sure I am not as ignorant as I am now .” He said before sitting cross legged, entering his inner workings again.
