IMPORTANT
So Draconis asked me for a break so he could enjoy some of his own time, that being said i think he deserves it. Meaning there is currently 2 positions for a temp pr available. This is quite important as without proper prs chapter releases well be halted for a little, but im sure that wont happen, as if i cant find prs i will just hire someone as a last resort.
The reason i ask for 2 prs to temporarily replace draconis is because i feel he is as good as 2 people pring. The process to applying is simple, just shoot me a pm, please know that Grammar is quite important for pring as well as a bit of time flexibility. on the positive side, temp prs will be allowed to view chapters before they are released 1-2 days, as i am expecting that is how long it would take for 2 prs to edit/fix them.
if anyone has anymore questions, just pm me :D
!!!!! Pr Credits To Draconis Von BloodTrap Who Constantly Helps With SR chapters, Please take the time to rep him for his work :)
Special thanks to SR's Donators for sponsoring this release!!. Tobias Klauke, Luke Maras, Clayton Gries, Bruce McMinn Jr
i rewrote this chapter twice :3 not sure if you guys will like it or not, hopefully it is enjoyable to you all.

With a thought, Phantom Pulse shot towards the ring of light, making it quiver and shatter. Avrin gazed carefully at the two of them. “-Thankfully, I’ve confirmed that he has Skymetal with him. Both of them are quite careful. That Abbadon is intelligent, to have set this up. Though it was unavoidable and not a loss. I think it's fine to have this resolved at this time-”
Gazing at Avrin with awe, Abbadon smirked. “Magic to do with weight, and undetectable no doubt. This is a concealment spell of Driadas, I will have to pay her another visit and question her carefully.. This is most likely her doing.”
Abbadon was not going to take this lightly. He quickly raised his right hand and the greatsword Sigil weapon Twilight appeared in them.
He vanished with speed even faster than Leo’s. By wielding the Sigil weapon, his base strength increased, so when he appeared behind Avrin and kicked towards him, the air rippled and trembled.
Of course, Avrin, who was no longer holding back, had already used a Void Step to reappear several dozen meters away. The kick continued and shot the force to where leo was standing.
Of course, with Aegis, the force of the kick was easily negated. Leo was still conflicted with the issue, though. Avrin’s speed was incredible, even Abbadon was astonished. It was as if he teleported, but they knew teleportation required a chant.
“Impossible…” Abbadon spoke and turned to Avrin. “Just who are you?” He was quite interested now. “Me?” Avrin snickered before his form began to distort and change. He reverted to his original appearance.
“-If they join forces, I'm going to be in big trouble. I have to end this quickly-” Around Avrin, Nebula Mist surged before forming into hundreds of void spheres that were much stronger than the ones he shot at Leo. The spheres were like flashes of lightning. Even Abbadon dared not touch one with his bare hands.
Both him and Leo quickly used their respective weapons to block. Avrin was not dumb though. He didn't want this fight to start, so he used the time they gave him by defending to appear before Leo. Avrin snickered a little.
“Demon! You're truly a demon!!” Leo roared as he brandished Aegis. “LION’S BREAK!” The shield emitted a heavy light before he bashed it at Avrin. Lion’s Break was a skill that used the protective shield as an offensive counter. The bubble would collect at the front of the shield and with all his might Leo would smash it towards his opponent.
“Leo, wait!!” Abbadon roared. He knew that this attack would be dangerous to use underground. But it was too late, as a radiant pillar of light shot towards Avrin. Of course, Avrin, who was prepared, already retrieved Astaroth before laughing menacingly.
“Stygian Slash!” Avrin called out before Astaroth screeched with excitement. It emitted a dark light before releasing a crescent slash that collided with the pillar of light from Aegis. The Lion’s Break trembled before it was split. The energy from it was absorbed by the Stygian Slash and it zoomed towards Aegis.
Leo clenched his teeth and quickly tried to hold his guard. With Aegis being a Sigil weapon, it contains immense power, meaning the Lion’s Break didn't use much of it, so when the Stygian Slash collided with it, it felt like a meteor had hit him. He was being pushed back and the slash itself grew stronger and stronger as it absorbed the mana from it's surroundings.
This was a weapon formed by the energy and bodies of two gods. It was immeasurable when compared to Sigil weapons. It smashed against Aegis before splitting the shield in half, and cutting off Leo’s left arm.
It happened very quickly and Abbadon was left with his mouth open in astonishment, while Leo was speechless. Avrin knew the result would be.
There was no comparison, so with this thought in mind, Avrin rushed towards the astonished Leo, who had never in his life been so injured before. Avrin grabbed Leo’s severed arm and snickered. He held it up and grabbed the ring on the finger before throwing the arm away.
Leo finally came to his senses as anger rose in his heart. He rushed towards Avrin with all his speed, causing Avrin to be surprised.
“DIE!” He roared at Avrin, before slashing with Caliburn using all the might. The slash cut across the ceiling and ground as a wave of energy shot towards Avrin, who slashed it casually with Astaroth, causing the energy slash created by Caliburn to shatter.
Abbadon vanished and appeared behind Avrin and attacked with Twilight. As the space distorted slightly, Avrin narrowed his eyes and used Phantom Pulse to push the weapon away. But with its strength, it only bought him a second. But it was enough for him to use his Void Step to appear at least fifty meters away. Avrin broke out in a cold sweat.
“-Just what in the hell is going on?! How is this possible? He actually split Aegis in half! This…. Is he a servant of Zephiron or an individual from beyond Seleria?!!-” Abbadon was trying to figure out what was going on. While he did, Leo knelt down in shock and didn't spare a glance at his arm, but at Aegis.
“Im...Impossible… It’s not easy to destroy Aegis…” Leo saw Aegis leaking mana and trembling. Avrin also noticed this and narrowed his eyes. “-These fools…. My circumstances are much more apparent than you think-” Avrin referred to his potential as well as the weapon he wielded.
“You're truly a monster…. I am not sure what spawned you and how you wield that weapon, but I know of one thing. It doesn't belong in this world, and neither do you.” Abbadon reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, glowing piece of round glass.
Avrin didn't want to wait while this happened, so as Abbadon was occupied with this, Avrin Void Stepped next to Leo before kicking at him. Leo grunted in anger and raised Caliburn to block it. Avrin’s physical strength was not stronger than Leo’s, so when Leo was hit he was only pushed back half a step.
But it was enough for Avrin to put away Astaroth and grab the two halves of Aegis before glancing at Leo, who looked at him. “You...bastard! How dare you try to steal Aegis!!”
Avrin snickered and spoke, “I will take good care of it.” Avrin smirked and used Void Step to escape from the underground. The moment Avrin vanished and turned into ash, Abbadon quickly threw the round glass towards the ash. When it hit where Avrin was, the glass seemingly absorbed some of the remaining dark matter.
Inside the sphere that fell to the ground was a swirling mist of dark matter. Leo glanced in anger as he looked up and roared with all his might in anger, “DAMN HIM!!!! MY AEGIS, MY STORAGE RING!!!”
Abbadon remained calm as he walked over and picked up the small glass sphere. He glanced at it with curiosity. “We both underestimated him. He got us before we could even begin… In the end, he reaped benefits… Where is the Skymetal anyway?” Abbadon spoke curiously.
Leo, who held the bleeding stump of his arm, spoke with annoyance. “In my ring… He has it now.” Hearing this, Abbadon’s expression dropped. “What a shame. That ore was truly strange. Though do not feel wronged.
Given enough time, once I analyze this strange magic, I am sure I can not only develop a spell to counter him, but to track him down. In the meantime, I'm sure you know how to handle the situation. Keep things quiet.”
Leo, whose face was pale with regret, nodded. Avrin’s physical strength was not a match for him, yet despite this, he was caught off guard by the weapon Avrin wielded. “That scythe he had… Just what was it?” Leo spoke softly.
Abbadon added, “Indeed. It's a serious matter. I felt that weapon was indeed weird. It gave me the same fee-” Abbadon suddenly went quiet as he thought to himself, “-That weapon, it gave off the feeling same feeling as Leo’s Skymetal did.
Could it be.. No, impossible. You can't forge it. But if he has a way to forge it and manages to acquire another weapon or some defensive object...just how powerful would he be!”
Abbadon clenched his teeth before light engulfed him. “I'm leaving. Tend to your wounds and speak of this to no one!” Abbadon ordered. This made Leo frown. Abbadon left and he was alone/ With his remaining arm, he madly punched the ground, causing it to shake and crack.
“I let my guard down and was defeated by someone weaker than me!!!!! RAGRRGH!!” He roared in anger, clearly not used to losing.
Meanwhile, Avrin was quite far away from the capital. He had a smirk on his face. He was currently within the eastern section of the central continent. He had plenty of time before he had to go meet Azrael. Though Abbadon probably felt he was a demon and would no doubt search that place.
He also didn't want to go to the elven continent again and possibly see Syrana or Myra. He also didn't want to go to the north and potentially put his people in danger, meaning his only option was to head to the eastern continent and train there for some time.
Avrin was disappearing and reappearing. It was as if he were skipping across the entirety of the central continent. He suddenly appeared over a vast ocean before disappearing again. This time, there was a small island near where he appeared, but he vanished again.
After continuing for a while longer, he appeared on the shore of the eastern continent Ji’Kunda. The area was quite desolate. It was like a miniature desert wasteland filled with mountains and the occasional oasis. Avrin teleported to the top of one of the large, rocky hills. He spotted a small indentation that was like a miniature cave. It was enough for him to sit in quietly, as no one was within several miles of him.
He quickly retrieved the two pieces of Aegis from his left hand and watched as they continuously leaked mana. He engulfed both pieces in nebula mist and snickered as he managed to contain the mana.
“These weapons, maybe it is possible to form a dark matter core from them. Since they are no longer useful and are just leaking mana, it's best to salvage what I can.”
Avrin shut his eyes and began to focus on the process at hand. From today onwards, he would do his best to improve his strength. The next time he meets Abbadon or Leo he would surely be able to suppress them without resorting to such low tactics.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
In the end, it was Astaroth that allowed him to obtain such a victory. Knowing this, Avrin was disappointed. He didn't want to rely on the weapon too much. He wanted to improve himself.
Thus, if he could absorb a dark matter core formed by this broken Sigil weapon, it would no doubt give him some great benefits, so he quietly focused on his the task at hand. He felt it would take at least a hour hour to process the Sigil weapon.
It was already broken and was basically a large mass of mana. He was quite careful and wanted to do this quickly. It previously leaked mana out from before and he felt maybe Abbadon could use it to track him, so after he was done here he would disappear again.
Avrin also had a regret. He wanted to investigate Ophelia’s uncle, but it seems that arranged appointment would not happen. “-Dark matter.. For him to be able to use it, he is no doubt someone suspicious.
For now, I'll bide my time. It doesn't seem like he intends to make a show of himself just yet-” Prior to his death, Avrin had read a few books regarding martial artists who isolated themselves in mountain caves for extended periods of time to seek some sort of enlightenment. Although he was different in this regard, what he sought was power he knew he could obtain.
Time passed and a full two hours had gone by. Avrin had an annoyed expression on his face, “-Two hours. This shield took longer to convert than I had thought, but it was unavoidable. I would have loved to have stolen it without cutting it in half-” Avrin grinned before a small yellow and purplish bead drifted down from the Nebula Mist and landed in his right hand.
Avrin gazed at it, able to tell that the dark matter contained within this bead was incredibly plentiful. He quickly opened his mouth and tossed it in.
As soon as the bead went down his throat and made its way to his stomach, it exploded with dark matter, causing Avrin to twitch and shake for a moment. But like a defense measure, his dark matter heart began sucking it in.
Like a black hole, not one bit of this new foreign dark matter escaped, it was all absorbed into Avrin’s heart. When this occurred, Avrin felt strange. His body began to tense up and shift.
His bones felt as if they were becoming harder, his skin more durable, his blood more condensed. Everything, inside and out, felt like it was evolving and strengthening. Avrin was a little surprised. He had no idea how to do this on a smaller scale. It seemed as if his dark matter heart was capable of achieving this once it absorbed a certain amount of dark matter to act as fuel for this advancement.
After few minutes passed, Avrin felt ecstatic with the results. With just that one bead, he had already doubled his strength. He considered his physical power to be on par with a mid level Sage, but with the absorption of a Sigil weapon’s power, he had skyrocketed and felt that his physical strength could easily equal that of a Legendary level being. Avrin had no doubt that he would be able to match Leo’s full strength.
Avrin knew that with the strengthening of his body, his skills would become stronger. The most useful one, of course, was Phantom Pulse. He was eager to try it. But he ignored it, as something else took precedence over testing Phantom Pulse.
Avrin quickly rummaged about in his enchanted sack before pulling out a gold and silver ring with several gems on it. This was the storage ring Avrin had stolen from Leo Zircus. He gazed at it with fascination, wondering how it worked.
Another four hours had passed and Avrin’s expression was livid as he gazed at the ring as if it had done him the worst harm in his life. “ Is it broken? I can't access it at all!“ Avrin was very annoyed.
Avrin took a deep breath and considered it. “This ring is different to the enchanted bag which remains constant. I will consider there is a method to open it, no doubt it has something to do with mana. I don't have any of that, nor am I able to replicate it.”
Standing up, Avrin stored the ring in his enchanted bag and extended his strengthened Divine Sense. When Avrin had first achieved it, it was only a maximum fifty miles, and that was when he was focusing on nothing but channeling it.
As time progressed and Avrin strengthened, including the current state he was in, if Avrin was to stay and focus on emitting his Divine Sense, his range was increased by seven-hundred miles, a total of three-hundred more before he had taken the dark matter core converted from Aegis.
His body quivered in excitement. He know he was steadily making progress. It was only a matter of time before he would achieve a point where not even the gods of Seleria could threaten him. Only then would he feel safe.
Avrin was scanning around. Several miles from him, he felt a few villages. The strange thing, though, was that these were not human villages, but belonged to the beastmen tribe. With a strengthened mind and Divine Sense, Avrin was able to view his surroundings in better detail.
It hadn't taken long before Avrin spotted what he was after, a large, city with high wooden and stone palisade walls. Inside this certain city were many people going and coming. Of course, only a handful seemed to be human and elvish. The rest were all beastmen.
Avrin was after something. He spotted the trade district. His best bet would be to find someone knowledgeable in storage rings or who had a general idea of how to open them. He assumed the ring was incredibly valuable, as he had never seen it before. He had to be careful and made sure no one caused trouble for him.
When it came to movement, with Avrin’s Divine Step, he had confidence that unless someone was at the level of a god they couldn't even dream of matching his speed. Avrin truly wished to progress the Divine Step.
It wasn't something he could use in battle as he pleased just yet. It required him to remain still for a moment and let his guard down to break down his body and reform it. Avrin had guessed this was its restriction.
With his body turning into a purplish ash, Avrin vanished before reappearing inside a narrow alley where several empty crates and barrels were stored. Avrin placed his hood over his face as he exited the alley and entered the busy street. He looked around with curiosity.
He could see many beastmen tending to their own matters, some with rabbit ears and with visible differences on their faces, others who seemed more beast than man, like large, bulky bear-looking people with fur all over their bodies as they hulked around with large construction beams.
Avrin felt Asura would love it here, as he would fit right in. The beastmen tribe could be considered humanity's hated enemy by word. The war before Tiamat destroyed the first Great Empire’s capital, humanity had invaded the eastern continent in an attempt to destroy and enslave the beastmen out of fear.
Avrin felt this was stupid in all regards. You would enslave and destroy a race because you fear they would enslave and destroy you. The very thought of this was hypocritical. Avrin assumed the previous emperor wasn't that dumb, and most likely had a hidden agenda.
Regardless of this, Avrin made his way over. He was inside the trade district, and as one would expect, there were many different varieties of shops. Mainly blacksmiths that sold large weapons. It was rare to see a fragile small weapon.
Avrin assumed with the beastmen's innate physical strength they would take advantage and use only heavy weapons to defeat their enemies. Avrin remembered Wyni. Although she looked fragile, she could wield a heavy weapon with ease.
Spending just over a minute getting used to the surroundings. The time of day seemed to be nearing evening, so Avrin didn't waste any more time and headed towards what seemed like the only magic shop around.
Entering it, Avrin felt the mana in the air was a bit more dense due to his body’s innate ability to absorb some mana to feed and sustain it for good. Looking around, Avrin spotted a variety of magical items, from strange looking tomes to long, twin staves and wands.
Avrin had even noticed an alchemical pill furnace inscribed with strange markings and an elixir pot with similar markings. Although Avrin knew these were useless to him, he had his own alchemical chalice he wanted to tinker with when he had less things to do.
The reason why Avrin hadn't bothered with alchemy as of late was because with the dark matter cores he could constantly strengthen himself. He also knew that alchemy required time and patience, and right now, with Avrin wanting to grow stronger and protect his people, it wasn't time that he was willing to waste just yet.
“Hm? How can I help you?” A short man called out. Surprisingly, the man looked like a fat komodo dragon. It made Avrin cringe inwardly at the ugly creature. Avrin smiled and spoke. “I wanted to inquire if you happen to have information about this item I found within a dungeon.”
Avrin reached into his enchanted sac and pulled out the ring before placing it onto the counter. He didn't know the proper name of the ring and didn't want to arouse suspicion. The lizard man put on a sort of monocle as he picked up the ring and glanced at it carefully.
Only after several minutes did the lizard's eyes widen and his body begin to shake. “S..Spacial Ring! H..How did you get this!?!” He hissed as if he wanted to roar, but it seemed his vocal cords were unable to do so.
“I obtained it from the lair of a dangerous creature.” Avrin gave a simple answer. The lizard man gulped and cleared his throat as he replied. “This is a Spacial Ring. Compared to items such as the enchanted back, enchanted chest and enchanted quiver, these Spacial Rings are specially made by an ancient Enigma ability user who had an ability to bend and distort space.
This individual was famous and was known as the Craftsman Lupin. Not only were his Spacial Rings crafted for people of the highest ranks in society, but enchanted storage items are modeled after these.
Only a handful of these rings were made before Lupin disappeared and was never heard from again. Rumors say he somehow managed to reach an understanding even beyond creating Spacial Rings and was able to travel to a different world! Though rumors are as I said, rumors.”
Avrin glanced at the ring with even more interest. He didn't think it would hold such a history. First an alchemist Enigma ability wielder and then one capable of using a spacial control to create such objects. Enigma users were truly remarkable.
“That is fine and all, but how do I open it?” Avrin curiously spoke. The lizard man chuckled and replied, “Give me a second.” The lizard placed the ring on the counter and walked into the back of the shop before coming back with a heavy book that he was skimming through.
“According to this item codex, to access a spacial ring, one must have a mana level equal to that of a grandmaster. This is to stop lowly thieves from stealing it, as well as to show of social standing that only high leveled individuals could obtain this.”
Avrin reached over with a frown as he picked up the spacial ring. “-Perfect,...well it can't be helped, when i go to the demon continent i'll have Azrael open it for me.-”
Avrin thought for a moment before gazing at the lizard and waving his hand, the nebula mist grabbed a few gold coins from his enchanted sack before placing it onto the counter.
“Thank you, i will be leaving now, i prefer if you keep this matter quiet.” Knowing that he had such a rare object, many people would be interested in coming after him. And if rumors got out far enough there was a chance that Abbadon or even leo would find out and chase him here.
“Esteemed customer please hold your steps for a moment!.” the lizard man called out to avrin before he had truly left the store.
