A crazy end to a crazy arc. I'll be honest, I won't blame a single reader at all if they considered these past two Volumes way too hectic to understand. Looking back, it definitely feels like more stuff has happened in just these two Volumes than it has for the entire Act. Still, I must admit that I'm extremely proud of how I did this part of the overall story. It had substance, I'd say.
When it comes to the characters featured in this Volume, the original draft had only accounted for Freddy to stay for the entire ride (no pun intended). Sandy was meant to be a random enemy in fact, who would try to mug Lune once she saw him mysteriously carrying all the group's riches (due to him Materializing them and pawning them off for travel funds). It'd have been a fight between the two of them, but I realized barely anyone from our world would even hold a candle to the people of the Vast World and ended up scrapping the whole plot point for a more laid-back travel companion instead. TraCon is about making friends and exploring the world after all, not fighting bandit girls.
Juavez too was meant to only show up for the duration of his mini-arc, or when they were in Brazil to be precise. Everything else remained roughly the same, just that he wasn't supposed to join them for the long run. I guess in a way I did manage to get them to "turn" on the gang by taking the airbike, but since everything got cancelled out with the final wish, it doesn't even matter. Besides, they would have actually brought the airbike back eventually.

Let's see, what else... Ah, with this, Act 4 [Better with Age] is officially over! Stand proud and revel in the moment, my dear readers, for you are currently witnessing the final turning point of Transcontinental! That's right, we are now entering the final Act of the entire series, the last stretch - Act 5 - [A Change for the Better]! These next few Volumes are gonna be the culmination of all the previous chapters that will hopefully aim to tie up as many loose ends as possible before I go back AAAALLLLL the way to Volume 1 and start rewriting it for publishing from the ground up! This isn't to say the story is ending though, that's definitely not the case. The Vast World is called that for a reason. I still have a ton of stories to tell about the characters that have and have not appeared here, the Five Gods, Heaven 2.0, the Iros and their powerscaling, and much, MUCH more!
I'm grateful to all of you for sticking with me for so long. It truly does mean something when I know I at least have people who I'm telling my stories to, and if you would continue to support me as you are, I would be very grateful! Daily chapters can be quite the challenge to write both consistently and to have them make sense, though as long as you guys are reading them, I can rest easy in knowing they're at least legible (lol)
Ack, I've gotten off track again~! My brain always feels fried after I finish writing a Volume, so I'm gonna take a bit of a rest before making the next Volume's cover! Ta-ta!
