"Try writing that he farts and it wakes him up." I shrugged.
"Dude, that's just gonna stink up the place." Olya groaned, "And besides, what makes you think that'll be any different from when we tried burping him awake?"
"Just try it." I urged him to write it in, "This is for Shaid, so we gotta try everything."
As you can see, we've been steadily wasting our days away in the Lair in this hedonistic rhythm of indulging in fantasy land, sleeping and then hopelessly trying to somehow get Shaid to wake up from his coma. This guy, it seems no matter how specific we get, it's just not enough for him to wake up no matter what.
"I'm beginning to think that cheating death is just impossible in general." The doctor sighed.
"You're one to talk." I looked to him, "As someone who literally got his head blown off on the Moon horrifically just a few days ago and still got revived thanks to the Book, you really shouldn't be saying that it's impossible."
"Yeah, but that's exactly it." Olya pondered, "How come we could save this guy so effortlessly, but Shaid is posing such an issue. Oh, no offense, doc."
"None taken." The doctor didn't mind, "I'm just glad you didn't leave me up there. Though that would be equally as cool - the first person to be buried on the Moon..."
"What is it with your fixation of that damned rock in the sky?" I winced, "If you want us to leave you there, I'd be happy to personally kick you through the portal up there and leave you for dead this time."
"I'll pass." He put his hands up as if telling me to chill, "Still, I think maybe we're tackling the issue from the wrong angle. Maybe Shaid can't be revived because he's not technically dead to begin with. He's in a coma."
"Right, we know that already." Olya heard him out, "What do you propose we do, then?"
"Maybe... Maybe we can't do anything with the Book." The doctor explained, "But what if we were to create a believable way to revive him using the Book?"
"I... don't follow." I honestly said, "Please, for the love of the Gods, please just say what you mean normally. No vagueness."
"Alright, got it, geez..." The doctor sighed before elaborating, "Write in that we found out a way to get a wish. This wish can make anything come true, no matter what, and it's exactly as the wisher wants it to be."
"Ohhh, I get it." I finally understood what that idiot doctor was saying, "So like a proxy!"
"That could work..." Olya thought about it for a bit, "But then we can't make it too simple to attain the wish, otherwise the entire World will go crazy as everyone gets their wishes."
"Oof, didn't think about that..." I stopped before piping up again, "Oh, so just make it as hard as possible! Make it something super difficult that any one person wouldn't ever think of doing on their own, but that'd be super easy for us with the Book's power!"
"Yeah, we could make it about traveling to a specific place." Olya expanded on my idea, "With the portal and recall device, it'll be over in a jiff, but for someone who doesn't have those, it'd practically be impossible to do it."
"Yeah, that's all well and good, but we need a location that no one will stumble upon by accident." The doctor reasoned, "The last thing you'd want is for some random Joe Schmoe to wander onto the location and leak it to the rest of the World. We'd need a place that no one visits, like, ever."
"That's too impossible..." Olya sighed.
"Hmm..." I tried thinking up a solution before getting an idea, "Oh, then what if we make it so it's multiple locations? A person might stumble upon one of them, but the chances of them reaching all of them would be astronomically low. We could even scatter the locations all across the World to be extra safe."
"You sound like you've already got something in mind, so out with it already." Olya immediately read through my intentions.
"The 6 World Wonders!" I proudly announced, "Make it so if a person visits all the World Wonders, they would get any wish they could ever ask for! No one in the World has that much money to pay for all the tours, and even if they did, no one would even think of going there in the first place!"
"Ohhh, it's genius!" The doctor agreed wholeheartedly, "There isn't a soul interested in traveling to all 6 locations, so unless there's someone rich and crazy enough to go through with it, you've essentially hidden the wish system behind the safest lock in the World!"
"Then, let's go with that." Olya started writing it down, "So, for Shaid's sake, let's do our best to visit all the 6 World Wonders and get our wishes, okay?"
"Yeah." I smiled as he put the quill's feathery end inside the Book to serve as a bookmark, "I swear, he's gonna owe us so much for goin' through so much effort just to save his dumbass."

"Then, shall we head out?" I got up to leave as soon as possible.
"Hey now, don't go rushing into things." Olya stopped me, "Planning is success' best friend, remember? We ought to think up a solid roadmap of all the World Wonders, otherwise we'll surely run into trouble."
"Aw, come on!" I slumped forward, "What's there to plan out, even? Use the portal, recall with the device, rinse and repeat until we check all the World Wonders off the list. Simple!"
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Yeah see that's the thing." He gave me a deadpanned expression, "You say that, but you don't ever make it that simple. Every time we go somewhere, you get distracted by hundreds of other little things, and that usually makes us go off track. I'm saying this for your sake, bud."
Ah, right. I do do that sometimes, don't I? Like when we first made it to Entropa hoping to explore it for a while but ended up meeting Tanathos and going to Abyssus Solis instead. Or immediately after that, when the king of Carmen told us to spread the word of the ITA as much as we could, and I ended up pissing off a street gang in Hiana, so we had to run away south. Yeah, realistically we really should go with Olya's planning...
"Then, what's the plan, cap?" I sat back down.
"Good, at least you're willing to listen." He smirked, "I was thinking we go for proximity. Since we still haven't ever seen the recall device in action, it wouldn't be as hard on us if it failed and we had to manually travel back here."
"You think so?" The doctor wondered, "But wouldn't it be simpler to go inversely? Like, the furthest place is the most difficult, so from the on it'll only get easier?"
"No, I'll have to agree with Olya on this one." I shook my head, "He's the smartest guy I know, so I'm sure his reasoning holds way more truth than yours."
"Oi! I'm a doctor taught under the Dolas!" Doc got all fussy all of a sudden, "In fact, I've surpassed their levels and am even regarded as the best doctor in the World!"
"Said doctor is also the reason why we don't yet know how the recall device in question works, so shut up." I glared back, "Olya may not be a doctor or whatever, but he at least knows not to die on the Moon as hilariously as you did, stupid."
"Grr..." Doc grit his teeth, but couldn't say anything to refute my claims.
"Whatever, don't fight." Olya moved the conversation along, "So, it's decided that we'll be going by proximity, but then who will be the one to go?"
"What do you mean?" I tilted my head at him, "We're both going, aren't we?"
"Hey, don't count me out!" Doc raised his tone.
"We're counting you out." Both Olya and I said in unison, "Your crazy ass doesn't deserve something like an all-powerful wish."
"Okay..." The doctor silently cried.
"But anyways, I said what I meant." Olya turned to me, "What if, Gods forbid, one of us doesn't make it back? We'd need the other to stay back so he can revive him with the Book, no? If we both go, we'd essentially be losing that safety net."
"So we won't die, then." I simply explained, "With the two of us, it's practically impossible to die no matter what. Besides, like I said, we'll try and keep it as short and simple as possible - Go there, touch the World Wonder and recall."
"You can just give me the Book, in that case." The doctor happily suggested, "I promise I'll only use it if one of you dies-!"
"Hell no!" Oly and I shouted, "Gods only know what type of shit you're gonna pull if we gave you such a thing! Stop being stupid, cause we ain't giving it to you!"
"Urk! Noted..." He slumped forward dejectedly as he finally gave up, "Then, if you need me, I'll just be in the pleasure room..."
"See? That's exactly what we mean, jackass!" I shouted, "Who the hell is gonna take care of Shaid if you're not there, you idiot!"
"He'll be fine..." Doc dragged his feet as he left the premises, "He does nothing all day anyways, so it's not like I'll miss anything if I'm gone for a few minutes."
Yeah, but the issue is you aren't ever gone for more than an hour. I'm pretty sure he's started using the pleasure room just as some sort of place of escape, too. Like I'm sure he gets a few pumps in, but whenever the both of us are inside, he never lasts more than a single round. Dude just starts cuddling the girl he's with as if she didn't just suck me dry mere moments earlier. Seriously, what a weirdo...
"A-Ahem." Olya cleared his throat to grab my attention, "Schnell, I don't mind either one of us going, but I just can't accept both of us to leave this place. Like, what if our heads explode just like what happened to that damned doctor?"
"His head only exploded because of that change of pressure the Book mentioned." I assured him, "The Book doesn't make any mention of that anywhere else but on the Moon, so I think it's just a thing that happens there. The World Wonders just don't have that."
He didn't believe me at first, but I kept convincing him that that is in fact the case. Finally, I had managed to convince him to check for himself in the Book, which revealed that I was right. The Moon, apparently, has no air on it, so that's roughly why that guy's head exploded. Inquiring about the World Wonders proved it to be a safe endeavor to teleport there, which finally convinced him to accept my suggestion.
"We're putting everything on the line here, y'know?" He groaned as he closed the Book and put it back in the safe.
"Yeah, but maybe that's what was keepin' us from savin' Shaid up until now?" I smiled, "Maybe it's because we weren't riskin' anythin' that he never woke up. To truly get him to snap out of it, maybe the Book wants us to not rely on it so heavily. Besides, I miss the old days where every corner could lead to certain death, y'know?"
"Hell no, I think you're the only idiot in the World who would miss that." He chuckled, "Then, first one's actually pretty close, so shall we get going?"
"Yeah, the closest World Wonder is actually in this very continent, so it shouldn't be too difficult anyways!" I smiled, "Adventure awaits!"
