Chapter 91: Regroup! And Make for the Palm!

Kále left the sword shop, his new sword still in his hands. He stepped onto the street and looked down at the crimson scabbard again before lifting his belt and securing the sword to it. Giving it a small tug to make sure it was nice and snug. Not able to come off of his waist. The events inside of the sword shop took a little longer than they should have, he forgot about Leroy and Kirk so he wondered where they'd be right now. He didn't even know how long it had been since they split up.

"Alright, are we ready to go find Leroy and Gills?" Kále turned to look back at Jeanne and Noir, completely forgetting about Jeanne and Noir's needs. Hoping that he wouldn't have to hang around flirty chef and his feeble attempts at flirting with Jeanne. 'How shameless can a man be? Begging after every woman he sees like some kind of yappy little dog.' Kále thought to himself as he watched Noir hold the door open for Jeanne. Kále certainly wasn't happy being escorted around by these two, even if he'd be totally screwed without them.

Jeanne sighed as she lugged a significantly heavier satchel around after all her shopping. In total she got the most goods out of the three. What with needing chemicals to make ammunition, metal to make the casings, parts to upgrade and build weaponry, and a pair of sniper goggles.

"Yeah we probably should. Hopefully all my shopping didn't go over the two hours Kirk set.", she said embarrassedly. She used her only free arm to adjust the goggles upon her bandana. Not her usual style but perhaps she'd grow into them. Either way they were just another tool at her disposal. "Noir did you get everything you needed to?", she would ask, hefting her satchel over her free arm once again.

"Of course!" Noir said happily, a big grin on his face as he looked down at Jeanne. He always seemed to burst with excitement as his attention was called to by Jeanne... he really wasn't secretive at all with his obsession over women. It was even better now though! Because she said his name! It was like the most beautiful melody to his ears! He held his own set of bags in his hand, full of the cooking supplies he needed for the ship.

His eyes went down to Jeanne shifting her satchels around, the gentleman in him coming forth proudly.

"Though it does seem like you might need some help, I will gladly carry your bag for you, Miss Jeanne! Luging such weight around isn't fit for a lady such as you! Please, I insist." He offered his free hand out to his crewmate, still smiling widely. Noir certainly didn't see his 'charming' nature to be as annoying and shameless as Kále did, it was just protocol for him whenever there was a beautiful woman near!

Thank god it didn't take Kirk long to find the other three. He had been running up the road where he had last seen Noir, Jeanne, and Kále, hoping they hadn't gotten too far or gone to some other street way further down.

As the group left the sword shop, Kirk was finally skidding his way into the street. He had found where they had split up and remembered which way Kále and the rest had gone. Instantly, he was running down the street, having to pause every so often to glare into shops to see if he could find them. Damn it, he wish he didn't have all of these bags, he needed to drop them off by the ship and make sure Marines didn't get to it it before the crew.

He just needed to find the other three first though! “Kále!! JEANEE!! NOIR!!” They were fighters! They could help Leroy! Kirk was NOT gonna fight a bunch of Marines, hell no! Over his dead body! That’s why the others needed to go after them! Clearly! The fishman was a totally amazing and great fighter… totally… but they would help better than he could!

As soon as she spotted the familiar figures of his friends, a sigh of relief flew out of his mouth.

"At least they got everything done.." Kirk thought to himself before speeding up to catch up with the three.

"Hey! Guys! We gotta go!" Noir's head shot up to the sound of Kirk's voice, seeing the Fishman running towards them. He couldn't help but frown, despite the panic on the Navigator's face. He wanted to spend more time with Jeanne, but oh well, he guessed there was trouble. He slowly to a stop, turning halfway to the other.

"Huh? What's going on? Is everything alright?" Kirk came up to them, panting heavily. "C'mon, we gotta start heading back to the ship! We got caught up in some Marines, Leroy is dealing with them right now, but I'm sure he's meeting up with us soon!"

"That idiot..." The Swordsman said as he thought about what Leroy and Kirk got up to. He probably did something whacky and attracted the attention of people which resulted in the Marines spotting and recognizing him. Perhaps this would give Kále a good chance to test out his new sword. Then Kirk ruined that by saying they needed to go back to the ship, how disappointing. Kále then began following the group as they , assumedly, headed back to the ship.

"Well couldn't expect someone with a bounty as high as his to just fly under the radar all the time well can we?" Jeanne says with a nervous chuckle as she follows the others towards the ship. "Let's just hope this doesn't become a trend."
