Kirk sighed as he scratched the side of his beard at the Triangle piece of facial hair. 'Ugh, the glues not holding up in this heat...it's even hotter than Cactus.' He thought to himself as he looked around. This section of Serket was much more spacious, the streets much wider to even allow for patios out front of the buildings, which were multistory, and made out of carved sandstone. Horseshoe arches, some having arabesque carvings around them.
But one part stood out. And that was the tower like structures on the top of the flat rooves. They looked almost like Chimneys
There was a group of men laughing around a standing table. They all wore a variation of what the man at the clothing stall. "Excuse me?" Kirk began, causing one of the men with a long black beard to turn at look with raised eyebrows, taken back by seeing a fishmen, but spoke in a friendly answer "Uh-Yes?"
"I'm new around here, and I was just admiring the beautiful architecture and- What exactly are those towers?" Kirk asked with a point. "Oh-! Those are the cooling towers, they were build around...four hundred years ago?"
"F-Four hundred?!" Kirk asked in an exacerbated tone. "Dahaha!" He gave a deep guttural laugh, patting his large stomach. "Yep, older than my familie's been on Arabasta! But, those towers help cool the interiors and keep them nice and crisp, Arabastian Summers can reach almost 200 degrees."
"200?! Geez..." The Navigator ran his hand across his forehead. "The rain must be a nightmare..."
"Oh it is, when it rains here, the Dunes in the desert can fill up, some reaching almost a kilometer wide 30 meters deep. But that hasn't happened in years." He took a sip from his ice cold glass of water. Ice was a luxury on many Desert Islands, but on Arabasta, even now- It was a daily pleasure.
"And do you collect it then?" Kirk asked, wanting to know just a bit more. "Yes, Huge barrels can be filled up and then a large quantities flourish around the towns." He then pulled a small sun dial from his pocket and looked up "I'd love to continue and chat. But we gotta go."
"Thank you for your time." Kirk gave a nod. Watching as the three men finished their drinks, sat a 1000 berry note on the table and walked off.
Walking into a store, Kirk looked around. They were so nice. The ground was tiled and the rooves and Arabesque carvings into them. The open style window slits letting in bright yellow glow from the sun above. The vendors on the inside had made use of the large hall to set up fresh goods that wouldn't be best suited for outside.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"So you can have all these delivered to my ship?" Kirks asked the clean shaved man behind the counter. "Yes. It'll be there in under 30 minutes. It's not much so they'll be ready." Taking out what few Berry he had, he sat it down with a sigh. "Thanks."
"I better go find Leroy..." He said with his hands on his hips. Giving a sigh.

A man walked into a café, blinking heavily as he sat his bag on the floor. Taking a seat at the front bar on one of the stools, a pale skinned man with red shoulders cleaned out a glass, only to look at the man who sat down, his eyes widening. 'oh god...that can't be who I think it is- could it?' the cafe goers all stopped, the sounds of spoons swirling in their cups only to be clinked on the side ceased at the sighting of the man. Slight murmurs sounding out
"Shat ap!" He waved a hand behind him. Silencing the crowd. "What could I get for you sir?" The counter man asked "We've got iced tea a-" He was interrupted with the tired man yawning and telling him bluntly "Sweet tea will be fine. Put some Ice in it too, please?" He loosely pulled out a poured out a pile of Berry coins. Each colored from bronze, to brass to then silver and gold. In Denominations of 1, 25, 50, 100, 500. There were also 1,000 coins that were bright silver. And 100 and 500 notes that were a burgundy tone and the other a very pale blue.
"Too lazy for bills in my bag. This'll have to do..." He lazily rested his head forward. And let it hang. A soft snore filling the air. "Did he just fall asleep?" Whispers leaked from the crowd as the man behind the tower stopped with large eyes, looking at the man. He was starting to over flow the tea. "Shit!" He instinctively cursed and pulled his hand back. The noise caused the man to lean up. "Huh?"
The crowd glared at the keep, who gave a grimace in response. "Heres you sweet iced tea sir." Picking up the glass the man began taking large gulps of the sugary sweet dark brown liquid. "Ah~ Just like mamaw used to make." He smacked his lips "Keep the change. I don't give a shit. " He waved the man off, continuing to drink the cool iced tea. "Alright. Thanks for the drink. I've been walking the desert for like, 7 days..."
Seven?! Just two days ago it reached a 140 degrees in the desert. And he's been out there, alone from the looks. With no camping supplies to speak of?! Was this guy some sort of monster?! He might as well have been considered one. He had been alone, and faced beast in the desert like the Arabastian Sand Spiders which can reach up to 12 meters tall, with no issue.
