He was surprised that he was having... some sort of fun talking to a pirate of all things.
Maybe this guy was an exception? He did watch him free a whole island.. And found out he wasn't racist... And also had a great smile...... Maybe Kirk was just really lonely.. yeah definitely lonely.
"Dirty! I like it." He said with a smile as he tilted his head back and let out a hearty chuckle "Hahaha!"
"Probably. I mean if I can stretch any part of my body I'd imagine the same works for him ya know hahah!"
"Oh... yeah, I just happen to be a navigator, lucky you, huh? Eeeheheheh..." Kirk reached over and pushed Leroy lightly and playfully in the shoulder as soon as he saw his look, scrunching up his nose at him. "Probably the best damn one you could find around these parts too."
It was nice having someone around that was for sure. And it made him happy he was loosening him up Making him more relaxed. He then tilted his head in surprise at the reveal he was a Navigator
"Hah! How lucky indeed! I knew there was something special about you!" He then stood up, and paced around the ship. Unable to stay still for too long unless he was watching the waters
The night truly was beautiful. One of his favorite things was to watch how the Stars glittered amongst the abyss late at night. Especially when he was young after training. Feeling the cool sweat chill his body until the heat left. Just watching
Kirk then stood up and paced around the ship. Unable to stay still for too long unless he was watching the waters "Ugh, I can't stand the thought of seeing something like THAT flying through the air. I bet it would start some sort of conspiracy theories of new government spying technology or something."
Kirk wriggled his fingers in a claw-like fashion as he spoke as he talked about the theories before laughing softly. He looked a bit mortified before making a 'bleh' noise and sticking out his tongue in disgust. "Don't make me imagine horrible things, that just gave me so many scary thoughts... can you even stretch your nails?"
"If I could show you some of the maps I've made, I would, but I think I've lost most of 'em. Guess it just means I'll have to start from scratch again, I suppose." He mumbled the last bit somewhat to himself, thinking about what he was planning to do after freeing his town..
Rubbing his head as he thought, a new one suddenly coming up "Hey, we haven't checked underneath the deck yet. You wanna go see if there are any cots down there? We need somewhere to sleep."
He clapped his hands and began strutting over to the door that laid flat against the deck to be opened to walk down the stairs into the underneath. Opening it up he saw a light illuminating the stair before walking down the steps. Inside...Was surprising at first but quickly began to make sense

Below deck everything from canons to cannon shot. how ever, their did lack any handheld weaponry. As well there were things such as food rations, hard tack, fresh vegetables, bounds of butter and oil.
Along with the other common supplies, from rope to cleaning supplies, to spare uniforms, cutlasses, and knives. Anchors and hammers and nails. Supplies to repair the ship. Then there was the foot locker at the very end of the deck. Which upon being opened... Had loads of cash on the inside.
This must've been the cash that was being given and exchanged for their weapons and goods A shame that it wasn't redistributed. But what had been done there was already more than enough. There had to be at least 1,000,000 berry in the trunk. More specifically. 2,122,131.
"Kirk! Get down here!"
Kirk perked up as at the sound of his name. He'd been watching from the above. It didn't take him long to start walking down into the room and appear at the bottom of the steps.
"Something wrong?"
The Fishman took a long gander around at all of the supplies and looked mildly impressed. Surprising that there was so much on this tiny little vessel. Yeah... made sense. A bunch of weapons and supplies on a Marine ship. "Hey, at least you can use this stuff here for when you get an actual pirate ship. Saves a lot more money!" Speaking of money.. Kirk's eyes widened and he instantly shot right on over, leaning over the box filled with money.
"Oh my... GOD! What!? Why is this on here?! Probably in exchange... yeah... wow, I still can't believe they just LEFT it here!" He got down on his knees and started to pull out some of the cash. If this was a cartoon, he would have two big dollar signs over his eyes already. Kirk was clearly excited over the money, already starting to make sense of it all and count it up.
"This...at least has to be a million berry! Including what you could pawn off from that treasure you have... I'd say we are rich already!"
"Yeah. Totally. These are some good cannons...." There was also mortars and bombs. He thought about how many there were. At least 7. Not enough for even a scooner. Maybe a small Caravel... But it was a true statement. "Seems like that debt of yours is quickly on it's way, Shishishi~" He said with a mischievous laugh
“Guess so!” Kirk said excitedly, genuinely getting him super hyper. With this, whatever Leroy had in that treasure chest, and just a little bit more.. he could be finished.
"Say...Do you know how to cook?"
Kirk kept counting everything up as Leroy questioned him. Thank god he wasn’t clumsy or too quick with his thoughts or this would be way too daunting of a task to count EVERYTHING up.
“Well, I don’t do it much, but I’m sure I can make something edible. You hungry? I guess I could stomach something too..” He didn’t even look away from the cash, he was still counting and putting everything into neat stacks.
"That's my secret...I'm always hungry! Haha!" As he moved from the bottom, he grabbed a bottle of rum He then hurried up the stairs and moved into the extremely small cabin where the keel level was held He then sat at the table just off to the side. Strange there was one there since it made the helm even more cramped.
Kirk would follow a bit while after he finished up counting. He was trying to rush himself, knowing Leroy was waiting on him and discovered that it was a least a bit more than 2 million berries. Wow. That would help so much.. he’d have to make sure it stayed safe until they got even more before dipping out of there.
It was like a dream come true. He even though about pinching himself to make sure it wasn’t an actual dream. Kirk ducked into the small cabin eventually.
“About 2 million in there, gonna be pretty helpful.” He started to scrounge around for any sign of food. “Not sure if they had anything on here, we could always see if there’s an island anywhere with food, maybe even a small town if we are lucky. I am not eating fish if you’re thinking that’s an option.”
