Chapter 145: Where Leroy Has Been

Chapter 145: Where Leroy Has Been

Lieutenant Braemar. Now known as Captain for his duty in Louge Town, hadn't been sent and recruited into another Squad by One Louis Garrick. They'd been sent from Leviathan Base to Arabasta to check up on Hornigold Rackham. But so far, at every turn. They'd been unable to to properly get a hold of Rackham. Garrick Needed to go through the entire chain of command to get the next set of orders.

So, in the meanwhile, Braemar and a New Subordinate, Ensign Adeline, a short black haired women. She was hard in demeanor. Less out going than Captain Poniard. She was the type to be by the books. And worked well with Braemar. She'd grown up on a sleepy island in the South Blue. The typical marine story, a small village who worked tirelessly for their king and contribute to the Heavenly Tithe, the Tribute to the World Government that all kingdoms that were apart of over 170 Kingdoms, with even more in connection to them in some way that bumps the number to over 350 across the entire world.

There she admired the stories in the Papers of Marines and wished to one day become one. And now here she was.

They took it upon themselves to patrol the city. You never know what you may come across in a 'seedy' place like this. Was the reason Braemar said.

Leroy practically had a trail of drool from his mouth as he ran down the street towards the delicious scent that he smelled. Coming to a skidding stop, a cloud of dust shot up in the air as he stopped in front of a stall. He quickly sat in one of the stools in the front of the stall and smacked the bottom of his fist agains the counter "Whatchu Got Whatchu got?!" He repeated, repeatedly as he looked over all the cooked foods. Chicken in biscuits, kabobs, other meats sizzling against a grill

"Uhhh...." The cook looked shocked, in utter disarray. Sweat dripping down his brow as he looked at the Pirate

"What? What's the Matter?" He asked with a confused look on his face Unbeknownst to Leroy. He had sent dust into the tracks of the nearby marines that were right down the street from the stall... He turned to see the silhouettes of people walking towards him as he mid-bite on a kebab "Oh..."

"Sir." Adeline began "Isn't that-" She was interrupted by Braemar "That it is, Ensign." She'd heard what had happened in Louge Town from the Captains own mouth. "What should we do? Should we call in Captain Garrick?"

"No. Let me Handle this." He raised the back of his hand, ceasing the Ensign from pulling her Den Den Mushi Out. A Small Snail like creature that was able to transmit signals and receive them. Granting the ability of those who had them to communicate who ever else had one on the other side.

"Enjoying the Grand Line, Falcon?" Braemar took a seat next to Leroy. Resting his coated arms on the table

Leroy was chewing through his food as he watched the Marine captain sit down. His eyes looked him over for a second. For just a moment, he had forgotten who he was. But then, the wide-eyed look suddenly relaxed as he continued back to eat "Oh well if it isn't the Man himself"

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

He said as he stuffed his mouth with more food. The stall owner just slowly stepped back to the far wall. Sweat beading down his head as his eyes darted between the two people quickly. Truly a fearful look at what could possibly happen.

Braemar's eyes gazed Leroy up and down. He had new scars, and seemed to be more defined in muscle than before. But the same personality remained. Braemar pulled a large Cigar from his pocket. A Stubby little thing, before pulling out an exposed grind wheel lighter, in the shape of a bullet. "I don't suppose you'll let me take you in quietly? Save us both the trouble. And it'd be a hell of a lot easier." He was firm with his words, but relaxed as he let out a puff of acrid smoke

Everyone in the streets seemed to keep their distance. They didn't know that Leroy was a Pirate, but they new that a man coming from what people had thought was a group of incognito Marines to sit next to a man who just ran at Mach 1 to start eating wasn't a good omen

"Do you really have to?" He said with an annoyed look on his face "I'm kinda busy right now. And I don't know if I really have time to deal with No-Name marines..." He said insulting the Marine accidentally. Of course, Leroy had his feelings about the Marines. But it always came down to the Individual more than just the organization itself. He could even partly could respect Bellamy for what he did in Louge. But he, much like most Marines, were still standing in his way.

With a swallow he looked to Bellamy, and his white knuckled grip on his hilt. "But if it's a fight you want." He stood to his feet "Then that's what you'll get..." He said with his fist balling.

This action caused the group of citizens to back up even more. And even a man in the far back to make a run for it, he was finely dressed, with grey hair.

"Never thought I'd leave an Impression of the Future King of the Pirates" Braemar began. "And I have to admit, you're a brave one. I've heard your crews grown more. Their Lives, and Their Dreams on your shoulders? You'll lead them all to their death."

"And I'm Afraid this is how this will have to go. You'll have marines Hunting you for the rest of your life. Me included. You hurt me Falcon. And I want to make sure I hurt you just as bad." He began walking to the middle of the street. "I don't know why you're here. But frankly...I don't care." Unsheathing his cutlass he flicked it to the side. He'd gotten stronger since the weeks before. He'd even began properly training in the blade. Using skill to match his brute style than being reckless with it.

"Bring on, Falcon. Your Move." The Marines behind him began to huddle around. Adeline gripping the den den in her thin grey zip up jacket. They all waited with baited breath what the Captain and Captain were going to do...
