Masamune Kále, now a pirate and the First Mate of the Red Sash Pirates, was standing on the top deck of the Horizons Palm as Leroy called it not too long ago. It had been a few days since he escaped Mirror Ball and joined the crew. His wounds were healing well, no thanks to him and his mistreatment of them.
Considering... he was training vigorously with some comically large weights. He was holding a metal pole and on each side of the pole were multiple huge plates of metal, he was lifting it up and down above his head, using only one arm. "97... 98... 99..." He was counting up and once he reached 100, he dropped the weight, causing the ship to rock violently in the water.
Perhaps he shouldn't have dropped it on the deck so nonchalantly. "Oops, Kirk won't be happy about that..."
He finally memorized Kirk's name, same with Jeanne. He had the names hammered into him because they were all living together.
Kále's swords were not on his hip, they were lying on the deck nearby, he didn't want to risk breaking them while he was training. Though, there's more risk of him breaking them now considering he's dropping huge weights carelessly on the deck. His form wasn't much better, his body was still thin, thinner than it was anyway. To any normal human, he'd have an incredibly enviable body but for him... it was not peak. Also now... Kale had some ACTUAL clothes on.
Well, kind of. He is wearing a pair of black trousers, nothing on his feet or on his upper body. He was wearing his infamous white headband around his head, to keep his hair out of his face while he was training.
Though he wasn't much of a fan of these clothes, he didn't have a choice considering his other clothes were tattered and covered in blood from his time in the cell. Which... Kirk wasn't happy with it, so he was forced to change into some clothes that Kirk gave him.
And then Just as Kále predicted, there was instantly a shout from somewhere on the ship. "DO THAT ONE MORE TIME AND I'LL HANG YOU OFF THE BACK OF THE SHIP BY YOUR ANKLES LIKE SEA KING BAIT!!"
Kirk was suddenly peering out of the door of the kitchen, glaring up towards the top rack. His temper was getting a little short with the new crewmate, though fortunately, most of his threats were empty and just used to try to get them to stop whatever was ruining the peace on the ship.
Kirk had been soothed for a little bit though upon the victory of managing to get Kále to at least change pants and by drilling his name into the swordsman's brain to make sure he remembered, but it seems like that sedate was wearing off quickly.
After grumbling something about pirates, Kirk dipped back into the kitchen for a moment, grabbed an orange from the fridge, and headed back out of the main deck. He just wanted to eat his oranges in peace until they came across this most likely unreal 'sea restaurant'.
He resigned to his favorite sun chair and stretched out again, sighing softly as he tried to relax with all of the annoyance he felt plaguing him. The Fishman had opted out of his typical outfit for something more casual and thin.
While at this point he was sure Kale would immediately forget he was a Fishman... he didn't like being too seen. He wore a thin, long sleeve, black shirt that went up to his neck, covering those gills along them. Army-green, baggy cargo pants adorned his legs while he had on some simple sandals.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Kirk took off his jewelry for now. Finally taking a seat in his chair, he picked up a journal he had bought back in Orange Town and opened it, flicking open to a certain page before starting to scribble stuff down. He was logging their adventures and was trying to currently figure out what times they had arrived at certain islands.
Unlike With Káles vigorous training. Leroy was currently Sitting at the bow of the ship, his favorite spot atop the hand-like figure.
Sitting in the palm of the hand. Leroy had his legs crossed and was looking out to the calm waves of the azure sea.
Watching as things like sail fish, salmon, and even larger unknown fish bounced out of the water and into the air! Before Cascading back into the water. Man did he love being on the open ocean. Just that sense of...Freedom.
The Sense of Adventure. It was all he truly ever yearned for. What his Very Soul dreamed of.
As for Jeanne, She found herself tinkering with a new gun design on the top deck of the ship.
Architronito was a good weapon, but she needed something smaller. The hefty device was a bit much to walk around in public with.
She didn't have the material to actually build it right now, but she could handle that later. She was lost deep in thought until Kále slammed the weight onto the deck, causing her to jump! She would turn her head to look to Kale but sighed. Seeing Kirk already giving him what for and Leroy sitting on the bow.
"What you thinking of Captain?", she would say, approaching the bow. She stretched a bit, yawning as she did. She didn't understand why he chose that spot in particular. A bad rock of the ship and he'd be overboard. The only people able to save him being Kále or Kirk.
"The Future. It'll be...So bright. Every step I take. We Take. The closer we get...To that treasure." Well that was certainly something. The Treasure in question was Rogers Treasure. The One and Only One Piece. He then looked over his shoulder and spoke. That Sense of demeanor coming over him again
"You know this is my Favorite Spot because it looks forward. The way we're always going."
"That and watching the fishes are nice"
"Shishishi" He said give a close eyed tooth grin as he let out that same chuckle
Jeanne gave a bit of a chuckle. "Quite the big picture type aren't you Leroy?", she says before leaning on the railing of the bow. "You keep focusing on that thing in the distance. We've got the little things for you!" She sighed as she looked to the water.
It was beautiful today. God how she wished she could just swim in those blues again. She let out another, heavier sigh before looking back to the horizon.
"Perhaps we should catch some fish for dinner?", she would ask as she looked Leroy. "I brought a few fishing rods and tackle with me."
"Ooo! Fishing! I'd love to!"
