Noir snapped out of his excited daze for a moment, blinking a few times as Hennessy left. “…horn dog?” He turned to the rest of the crew. “What does horn dog mean?”
“It means you’re horny, Noir.” A blunt remark from Kirk.
It made Noir’s jaw drop after a moment of processing. “WH-WHAAAT?!? NO!! I W-WOULD NEVER!! I’M J-JUST SHOWING MY UTTER DEVOTION TO BEING JEANNE’S GUARE OF COURSE!!” Noir started on his embarrassed rant immediately, blushing profusely against the accusation. He was soon to be drowned out, though.
The inside of the Inn was truly wonderful. A cool breeze spread through main bar. Tables and Tables filled, all illuminated by an Orange glow of White orange florecent bulbs in cased in metal lanterns. At the bar there were many men and women drinking and chatting, the same seen was all across the bar. Specifically there was one rowdy customer in a poncho, in an attire similar to that of henessy minus the duster. He laughed jovilely as many empty seats sat next to him. Leroy hopped into the seat next to the man. Overhearing the conversation of how he had gone after these pretty high bounties.
"C'mon you guys lets get a drink before we get to the rooms!" He said waving his crew over
“Thank you, sir!” Kirk waved his goodbye to the kind cowboy before following Leroy in. Thank god they found someone nice to actually help them out! Let’s just hope Leroy doesn’t keep yammering about the trouble he caused in the East Blue and have the wrong person overhear it.
"I'll pass on the drink. I wanna find this Scotch fellow if he's in town.", she said practically beaming. She honestly didn't expect such simple flirtation to work on Noir. She'd probably need to tell him about her sexuality sooner rather than later, but for now she riled the boy up. Might as well use the body guard.
"We'll also keep our eyes peeled for Kale. We don't want his forgetfulness causing us more trouble while we're here." she would say as she contemplated what all she would ask him. There was a lot she wanted to know, but she doubted he would appreciate being berated by questions.
"Anything in particular you wanna know about the Grand Line if we find him? Leroy? Kirk?" she would ask. Might as well make this trip more efficient.
Kirk turned his attention to Leroy. “Really? Drinking already? Well, I guess I'll let it slide thus once.” He was feeling a bit generous today, so why not? They just got here, after all! He kept his ears perked at the sound of the bounty hunters chatting away around them though looked over at Jeanne and Noir. “…Actually, no, I don't think so.”
Suddenly the man next to Leroy Perked up. Looking around for a second. It was clear that he had a few scars on his face. His hat had long strands of hair falling out of the sides and down his face.
"Who said my name?" His drunken eyes wandered next to him before landing on Leroy. His eyes then widened, almost sobering up for a moment "Hey~!"
"Do I know you~?" He drew out the syllables as he drunkenly rested his chin on the back of hand. Leroy looked at the man in confusion "Huh? I don't know? Do you?"
He squinted his eyes and leaned in. "Hmmm....Oh yeah! Yeah I do! You're that guy that was causing a ruckus in the East Blue!" He said with his eyes widening, his finger lazily pointing to him.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
"Oh! Yeah that was me!" Admitted Leroy, but then a look of realization came over his face.
"Wait, are you...Rango Scotch?" He questioned realizing that he'd perked up at the name "Rahah! Yep that's me...Rango Scotch at your service!" He said giving a small salute with his fingers lazily, the small tooth necklace around his neck moving as he did.
Kirk leaned forward against the bar, peering past Leroy to look at Rango. “Wait, really? Ha! Looks like they don’t have to go on a wild goose chase after all!” He grinned at Rango. It was… a little worrying that the bounty hunter was right there, sitting next to Leroy, just chatting it up all innocently. I mean, he’s hunted down people with 500 million berry bounties so far, right? That could mean trouble for the group… although, he seemed a little too ditzy right now to fight anyone. No one that drunk could fight.
Noir stared at Rango with disbelief… and then utter disappointment. “B-but.. I was gonna.. I was suppose to..” All his hopes and dreams were crushed. He didn’t get to protect Jeanne now as they wandered the town together! He would never get make himself even stronger and braver in her eyes! And now, Jeanne would be all excited over the Rango guy instead of getting all excited over Noir’s amazing strength and power! His misery turned into flaming hot jealousy as he started to grumble to himself, folding his arms over his chest while nearly pouting. A ‘little’ more than half of him was wishing Rango was never on the island to begin with, now.
“Wow. Great. Cool. Guess we found him.”
"Cheer up Noir. There's always next time." Jeanne says with a chuckle as Noir grumbles beside her. She approaches the bar and sits next to Rango. "As some new folks here in the Grand Line, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving us some pointers? Especially about this next island we're headed to." she would say as she looked to the bartender.
"Please get him another of what he was drinking.", she said as she put some of her leftover Berry from Logue Town on the table. "This sea has some rather interesting islands and weather, and it seems a bad idea to rush in without a little bit of an idea what we're getting into."
Scotch Belched as he mulled it over drunkenly in his head. "Hmm well. Stay out of trouble, avoid Marshal Territory unless you want to be extorted for all you're worth."
He palmed the berries and flicked through them as he licked the tip of his thumb before sliding them into his breast pocket. "Weather is Wild and Hick Dangerous. Always pack a variety of clothing. Make sure you have water and food stores."
He rattled on about pretty basic things, Like always making sure to find out how long it would take for a log pose to set, be careful on every island you go too. It was all like he was just giving them the time of day with out truly giving anything substantial
"And Chriton Isle. That place is Fuuuucked up. You'd best not want to step land on there with out paying for one of the hunting parties! You all aint me after all!" He said as he finished his drink.
"Thank ya kindly for the drink lil lady..."
