Chapter 174: Disappointment from Thrill

All along Curtana’s abdomen were tiny tips of blades protruding from her skin like chain main or the scales of a Lizard. They Slowly Retracted back into her skin to show the nasty gash that the First Mate had bestowed upon her

’My Muscles are roaring like I just got done training…And then went beyond that…Like my muscles don’t have much more left in them, and yet, at the same time I feel like I can go beyond this…If I just keep going…’ Kale thought to himself.

’She’s like a brick- No, a steel wall. Unmoving, unyielding. Every single one of her moves has the intent to kill, and the finesse of a well-honed mind.’

His thought was rudely interrupted as Curtana suddenly Impacted the side of his ribs with a long hook kick! But it was more painful than anything else before this, for the swordswoman had used the power of the Blade-Blade fruit to extend multiple razor-sharp blades from her Tabi shoes! Rending and Slicing into his chest!

The Blades weren’t long enough to pierce deep into the bone, but were enough that the deep gashes caused blood to trail as Kále was sent Flying through the Air!

The Entire surface of the Mining Sector was filled with pipes, and tracks to transport material from place to place, buildings around them had been transformed and bastardized for the industrial nefarious means of the Chyros Trading Company. Kále Slammed through a section of these pipes, causing them to snap open and spew steam as he Slammed so harshly into one of the Giant smoke stacks that he utterly cratered it’s side as he finally stopped. The top section of the Chimney Stack that Kále had struck began to tilt and almost fall! Kále fell and Harshly rebounded off the roof of a metal awning to one of the Mining Buildings before clattering to the street!

The Smelter Stack finally completed its partial collapse, and allowed a 1/3rd of the chimney to finally fall! Dusty trailing behind it as its shadow loomed Directly over The First Mate of The Red Sash Pirates Before-

KA-THOOM! ! The Top of the Chimney made a brutal and devastating impact on the Swordsman! The Stack of Brick had broken partially on its descent after making contact with one of the nearby buildings, causing many of its walls to fall to rubble and cover the Massive Chimney that was still laid mostly intact in the middle of the Street! Dust Flying out in monstrous clouds from the impact, bits of debris raining like hail!

Kále was Left utterly Buried! The structure was so wide that the Swordsman was totally out of sight!

Footsteps echoed as a few heads of the Revolting Force Peaked around the corner of the street, looking at the action that unfolded, they were utterly terrified of the woman within their view. They stood no chance against the Swordswoman, the only chance they had was if they all went at her all at once, but even then that’d be nothing more than a mere inconvenience and waste of time to the Might of Curtana.

“Oh shit…He’s dead!” Whisper Yelled one of the Revolters, Clutching their rifle with white knuckles. Sweat beating down their faces as they looked in horror. From what they could see, their supposed savior, their Ace in the Hole, was currently crushed under almost ten thousand tons of brick and mortar.

“Aww…Seems like I played a little too rough~” Curtana pouted sarcastically, tilting her head. “Ma-hahaha! Here I thought you actually had something in you! What else to expect from someone with such sloppy swordplay!” She slicked her hand through her vibrant hair as she laughed

That was when a noise echoed through the Mining Sector, causing the Pure Gold agent to purse her lips and give a squint of confusion as she looked around. The sound of Machinery shutting down and powering off caused a sense of silence to fall over the streets. The Lights from the Buildings flickering and fading away.

“What the fuck…” She grit her teeth as her gaze shifted back to the Chimney “That Crew…The Red Sash Pirates right? One of those Bastards must’ve shut down the Array…”

Her Gaze shifted up to the High Monumental Sized Smoke Stacks that stood nearby. Standing high into the air at half a kilometer tall. The Smoke seemed to significantly stop pouring into the low hanging cloud of smog above Arabasta. “This whole thing is turning into a shit show, and fast.”

The Metal from Curtana’s Blade-Blade fruit began to retract back into herself, receding from the Shattered Blade of Mercy and Returning to its typical jagged edge. She tucked the blade her side into a broken scabbard before spinning on her heel and beginning to walk away.

As Curtana walked, she didn’t even get down the full length of the Street before another Noise reverberated through the street.

It was coming from beneath the Rubble where her opponent had laid…
