“I dunno... If I do end up joining him I would have to tell him the truth, and I have no idea how he would react to that.” Pulling the same flask from earlier out of his bag they would hold it up to a light “Though I have a feeling that crew wouldn’t care all too much even if I did tell them” They were worried about the reaction of Dezzi being the supposed monster in the woods that had terrorized Drumvolc.
“Now then, enough about him” They would hold the flask out for Dr. Oslar to take “I think I got it right this time, you mind testing it for me?”
"Why wouldn't you?" she says taking the flask and pouring a small bit to observe and look it over. The flask needed to be exposed to the unique temperatures of Drumvolc, at least that was the current hypothesis for this test. She pulled her aviators to the end of her nose and glanced into the microscope. The very same she'd taught Dezzi with.
"You've always wanted to get out there into the world and Become a great doctor. These people certainly seem like the right pick for you!" She then swished the concoction around and ingested the medicine. It was incredibly bitter. Oslar was unique, she could determine the potency of medicine by simply tasting it.
"Ack~" She said smacking her lips trying to relieve her mouth of the taste "Seems like you got this one down!" Dr. Oslar then recapped the flask and sat it down on the counter. It was just part of something larger that Dezzi had been working on.
A serious look came over her face as she put her glasses up on her head. Revealing her eyes. "You know Dezzi. I'll be fine here. Island may be in disarray, but I've got it. I always have" She let out a chuckle as she spoke to her prowess "I know you blame yourself for what happened to my hands. But you've got those pills now, and I know you didn't mean it in the first place..."
The pills in question, were said to suppress the Sulong Monster in Dezzi...
"I'll be fine. The whole Island will be...But you've got so much ambition that I can see your heart is just aching to leave. Be out there! See the world for what it is!" "And become the World's Best Doctor!" She declared proudly as she stared down the shorter doctor.
“Whether I meant to do it or not doesn’t matter, I still did it, and it wouldn’t have happened if I had paid attention to the moon cycle.” Picking up the flask they would set it back within his bag, making sure it was secure. There'd been slip ups in the past, causing them to rampant. And then, they weren't able to protect Oslar in time from the Embear...

“And besides, I can’t leave yet. Not while you’re still injured, not while everyone’s in such pain” He truthfully was just trying to give himself some excuse as to why he couldn’t go “I can’t just walk away while they’re suffering, what kind of doctor would I be if I did? Becoming the world's greatest doctor would be impossible if I turned my back on those that needed help now” There was a truth behind what he had said though, he honestly wouldn't be fine walking away from someone in pain
Oslar walked over to dezzi. Towering slightly above them, having already been standing at 188cm. She knelt down, and put her hand on the Doctors shoulder. It felt so light yet so sincere
In that moment. It was just her and the Mink she'd help takeen care of for so long. It felt like no time had passed for her. And yet, it also was as if she'd always known them. "Dezzi..." Her words were quiet. Soft.
"We'll be fine, I'll be fine. I know it's tough out there, scary even. But I know there's those out there that would do anything for you..."
She takes a finger and taps it on their chest "I know in here is hurting. But they'll be those that'll help heal it like you help others...I just know it."
"And I have a feeling that if you really think these people might be the ones...You shouldn't let them slip away."
Her words may have been the few that Dezzi needed to hear in that moment. Some they were thinking of the entire time, not wanting to accept it due to the trapped feelings of hatred in their heart. But sometimes, that's all a person needs. Confirmation. Because in that moment. It was just the two of them, considering the future.
Dezzi didn’t know what to say. Obviously they knew she was right, of course they knew but... how could they accept it, that there was someone who would help them heal “You may be right... But I just don’t feel right about leaving while you’re still injured. It feels like I’m breaking some unspoken rule”
"You're not. Every doctor moves on from their first patients into their practice properly! Keheheh!" She said jokingly. Hoping to put them at ease. But it was true. It was common for doctor goes from studying and working under another doctor, to working independently as their own doctor. Collaborating with other if need "This is a big stepping stone for you. It's not the end of anything..."
"It's the Beginning of Everything for you."
