Kále walked down the street, looking down the different alleyways and into the stores and bars. He was looking for Leroy, even though he walked in the complete opposite direction that Leroy went. He just didn't remember that. The alley ways and streets were packed, even this far away from the docks. They were cramped and only about 10 feet wide, but the buildings were tall enough that there was shade. Some begged on the streets with pans, others sold different trinkets and wares.
He noticed that Dezzi had followed after him, he was at least glad it wasn't the pervy chef, that would be awful for him. He hadn't even really spoken to the doctor since they joined the crew. Although, he was able to realize that his scars were on full display with his short-sleeved thobe. The doctor probably realized this and followed in case he got injured... Not totally out of the question considering what happened on the past couple of islands.
Dezzi was just following along silently, they were trying to think of something to talk about, but weren’t really sure what to say to the swordsman, maybe ask about the scars? Those have to have cool stories attached, right? “So hey, where did you get all those scars? You seem to have a lot of them...”
Kále's head turned slightly to the right as the question left Dezzi's mouth. Certainly a sore spot for Kále given some of the stories, but he'd gotten used to people bringing them up all the time. His head turned back and his eyes went forward before he answered. "There's a lot of answers to that question. I got most of 'em from fights that I got in during my younger years. I got this one" He pointed to his chest "from my fight with Hannibal Wolfheart, the first Marshal that we met."
He had forgotten that Dezzi already learned about that scar earlier. His hand then raised and his index finger pointed to the large gash that he had on the left side of his head. "I got that from... some punk who hit me when I wasn't looking." He made no mention of the scars on his wrists, the most visible of all his scars.
“Right, you mentioned that back on the ship, who patched you up from that by the way?” The scar was clearly stitched up after it had happened, and as far as Dezzi was aware the crew didn’t have any doctor before they joined, so they wanted to know who had been patching people up before they joined
"Jeanne did most of the patching up, she had to basically cast my entire body when I got slashed." Kále could certainly appreciate Jeanne's efforts, even if he'd never make it known to her. "She also patched up my ear, when it got blown off... or maybe slashed?" He forgot exactly how he lost his earlobe, he just remembered stumbling down the street bleeding out from the whole in his gut. "Some of these scars wouldn't even be there if I had proper treatment for them. With me and Leroy on the crew, you're gonna have your hands full." He chuckled at his joke... even if it was very much not a joke.
“What kind of doctor would I be if I was afraid of a little practice? Besides, you two can’t be that bad... Right?” They were smiling under their mask, but it was not at all obvious, though a sudden worry for their captains life overtook them, if he was as injury prone as Kále was it could be bad that nobody was with him “So, where are you leading us by the way? Anywhere in particular?” They were fine with just wandering around, but wanted to know if there was any specific destination

Kále smiled at Dezzi’s confident remark. A doctor who isn’t afraid to put up with Leroy and Kále is certainly a good thing to have around and it seemed that they fit the bill. “As for where we’re going…”
Kále stopped for a moment, putting his right hand to his hairy chin. Clearly he was in deep thought… He then abruptly shrugged his shoulders and continued walking. “I don’t really know. This way is forward and that’s pretty much all I’m going off of.” He had forgotten what he was even meant to be looking for. “Where did all those other guys go too? They were right behind us weren’t they?” He also forgot walking away from the crew.
“Well then, forward we go! As for the others, they went to look for Leroy, probably won’t be too hard to find him considering he left a literal trail of dust” They were enjoying walking with Kále more than they thought they would, but that last question had them a bit concerned, it had only been a little since they had split off from the group “Oh hey, maybe while we’re separated we could look for some info on that marshal for Leroy, maybe we’ll be the ones to find them first!”
"Hm, they better not get lost again." He shook his head with disapproval, remembering all those times that they all got lost and Kále had to come find them... "I'm not exactly sure where we're gonna find any information on a Marshal around here." He looked around the street, spotting a few shady-looking people. "I imagine if a Marshal is around, he'll have some cronies workin' for him. We could try and find one. Then... take the information from him."
“That would probably work! Well then, I suppose it is time for us to go and find a crony” Dezzi wasn’t entirely sure how Kále was gonna take the information from the cronies, but they had faith that Kále knew what he was doing
Kále continued walking down the street. Trying to pick someone who looks shady enough to approach. He looked through every window, down every alleyway. There were a few shady looking individuals but none of em looked good enough to approach. And none of them had swords which made them even less interesting to Kále.
The two had been walking for a little while, with no luck on finding any cronies, so Dezzi decided to offer a new idea “We’ve been going for quite a while, but we haven’t found anyone... how about we go look for Leroy instead? It would probably be easier than searching for someone to get info from, at the least it would be easier because we actually know what he looks like” They were slightly worrying about their captain because of what Kále had said earlier, and wanted to go make sure he wasn't in a bloody mess anywhere
Kále stopped and turned his head toward Dezzi. "Maybe you're right. Knowing him he's probably already gotten in trouble with the locals or something." He was about to start walking before he stopped again. "Where did he go again?" Kále had forgotten which direction Leroy ran off in.
“Gosh I hope not, it would be rather difficult to get info if our captain has already gotten into trouble” They would turn towards where Leroy was at and begin walking “Follow me, I know the general direction he went” They would lead Kále towards where Leroy was at, knowing the general area he was in
