Kirk’s jaw IMMEDTIATELY dropped. Someone that high up was asking for their presence. He was shocked enough to not even correct Leroy on his manners! Imagine that! “The King? Why would he want a group of pirates like us??” Kirk thought for a moment…. before a mischievous smirk came to his face. King’s were royalty. Royalty usually had a lot of money… like… a lot. If this guy was an ass or didn’t have good intentions for the crew… maaayyyybbeeee he could pay the price with a Berry or two! Instantly, all of his caution was thrown out the window and money signs appeared in his eyes.
"Ah yes well...The king hasn't Requested you appearance. But I am requesting that you all make an appearance before him" He says asking the question with a slight wince of his face out a worry of denial
“Alright! Lead the way!” Kirk grinned widely and put his hands on the hips, blinded by the idea of treasure.
"Yeah sure!" Leroy said plainly with his hands on his hips. Meeting a king would be cool! That is. If they were cool!
"Leroy! Kirk! We don't even know who the king is! What if he's a dictator!" Said Jeanne in an exasperated tone of her Captains and Navigators sudden acceptance, making sure to cover her mouth with one hand away from the butler to not hear the accusation. Of course, Geeve did. Causing a slight worried smile to come across his face. "Then I'll just punch him" With that answer, Jeanne gave a slight defeated sigh, letting her head hang
Kále, at the revelation of the crew being invited to talk to the King, simply yawned and seemed mostly indifferent. He didn't know what the King of Arabasta wanted with Leroy, maybe the King is in bed with that Marshal and is going to have Leroy executed or something. "Will there be food and drink at the King's place?" He piped up, obviously he was going to the Palace if that's what Leroy wanted but he would at least like to know what he stands to gain out of going there.
“Yeah is there gonna be food?” Spoke leroy in a slightly demanding tone. More out of curiosity with his first mate then anything “Some place to sit down? My feet are killing me…” Jeanne said as she bent over and rested her hands on her legs Geeve however was beginning to answer one question after another. Becoming overwhelmed by all of the question. Murmers of ‘if i can explain.’ To ‘Allow me to show you.’ But eventually his finger he had up as he talked curled in defeat just as his head did once again
Dezzi was confused why this person was wanting a pirate crew to meet with the king, but if this person came to the crew directly it probably wasn’t for any bad reason, right? Either way they were gonna follow the crew, wherever they chose to go “Can I ask why you want us to go meet with the king? It kind of seems like a bad idea for pirates to go talk with the ruler of this place”

"Well you see. The King...I fear is out of Options. I can explain once we're there, and this country is in grave danger..." The emotion in Geeve's voice was palpable. Desperation coated their tongue as they spoke. It was clear that there was no ulterior motive for whatever this was. Dismissing the potential idea the swordsman had that Leroy was to be executed. Though the idea they were still in association was still an idea.
Leroy looked from Dezzi to Geeve as they spoke. It was pretty strange. He knew he was getting distracted but needed to stay focused. With a huff he slammed his hands onto his hips "Alright! Then lets go." He said nodding his head. Geeve gave a relieved sigh. It seemed as if this was a bodily mannerism it is. Due to the fact, he was in an all-black suit in the middle of the desert. He pulled out a handkerchief from the inside of his jacket and wiped his face down as he spoke with his eyes closed
"Good then. If you'd be so kind as to follow me." He gave a slight smile as he turned around and began to walk
As the battle of the Fire Brand, Azar raged and crew faint in the distance. The Crew warily but confidently with the butler of the King of Arabasta. Taking street after street. Some of the people of Serket waved to Geeve, and he gave a sweaty wave back to them. But as they continued, the people seemed to look disheveled in varying states. Some looked fine, others wore similar clothes but in more ragged states.
Come to think of it, that was how those at the market were as well. "What's going on with everyone Geeve?" Spoke Jeanne, picking up her pace slightly to catch up the rest from being behind in the group.
"This country is in a very bad state...Hopefully, the king will tell you all more once we get there" That sent a strange look of confusion across the markswoman's face. "What do you mean hopefully? So you went out of the way to get us and didn't tell the king?"
"Yes. But it's out of necessity. There are big things happening in this country within the coming days...Today of all days specifically...And as I said. I think it isn't enough. I love this Country. My father, and my father's father all served the royal family. Said we've been tied to them as long as history can tell. Always being close collaborators and confidants of them. And my servitude is well worthwhile" He said proudly.
He then continued "This means I feel that it is best to go outside My King's will when I find it right. As heavily it weighs." The crew listened as Geeve said this. Whatever was going on was serious. Was it related to the Royal Marshal Privateer said to be on the island?
Rango had mentioned that there was a 'Project' here. What could that have been?
