"Jeanne...Where are we?" Spoke Leroy as he was sweating like he'd just ran across an entire Island. It was like he had a fever...
Jeanne was busying herself. Starting her first prototype of her next weapon. She could only do so much to help Leroy as it was. When she heard him stirring she rushed over, noticing his sweating. "We're at Drumvolc. We needed to stop here to get a doctor for you." she would say getting a thermometer out of their medical gear. "How do you feel?" she would ask as she began looking at his bandages. Her Prototype could work. Minding Leroy was more important. Especially now that he was awake and able to convey how he was feeling.
"Hot...So hot..." He said as he took the layers of blankets off of him. His body seemed like it was almost steaming. Taking the thermometer into his mouth, his temperature rose dramatically and quickly, peaking out at 102... "Agh my head..." He said bringing his hand to his forehead. He had a throbbing headache. His body was racked with soreness and tenderness...He had an infection
Jeanne winced at the temperature. She tried to clean the wounds as best she could when patching him up, but that obviously wasn't good enough. She leaned to the floor and closed off lid to the small iron cylindrical stove. Preventing heat from leaking from the top from the ember coals inside. She had to be careful for the small bits of smoke to not fill the room. She then walked over to the Cast Iron wood stove and closed the vents.
"Lay back down, I'll be right back.", she would say going to the Galley. She would grab a rag and soak it in some cool water as she looked through their limited medical supplies. Luckily they had some aspirin. Not a hell of a lot, but enough to hopefully ease Leroy's symptoms for a bit. She shook out a couple pills from the glass bottle and got a glass of water and brought everything to Leroy.
"Drink slowly, and take these." she said handing him the pills. "It'll help with the headache and hopefully lower that fever a little until we can get a doctor here." she said as she wrung the soaked towel out into a pan and placed it on the young man's forehead.
The Cool fabric didn't do much for Leroy. But it gave him a moment of chill from the heat. He took the medicine and drank the water slowly. "I know we will...I can feel it...someone will come..."

The walk was long. And quiet. The Cold of the Winter island was still all the same. Coolcoos sluttered gently in the branches. White birds with tinges of blue on their feathers. The shape of tits, but larger than the birds. Thin beaks that are typically used to peak away at frozen pieces of the ground. Often scavengers.
Then there was the Drum Fox. Similar to Arctic foxes, but with much thicker, shinier coats. They'd scamper across the cold frozen dirt in front of the trio. Off to their foxholes that were large and sprawling. With some of the dug outs traveling nearly 7 feet down, and sprawling out as far as the branches and roots of the trees on the surface.
"Woah. You see that?" Noir pointed, a smoke between his lips.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
In the middle of the Road was a large hare, with a prominent face, and a near silver coat. Its black eyes glisened a shimmering silver, but that wasn't the most prominent thing about it. That would be the large set of antler that were atop its head. Curves like an antelopes, but with the branches and points of a buck. This was the Horned Volc Rabbit. Despite their size, and their meager humble appearance. They were the most adept at surviving on the island, and possibly the world. They could go anywhere, in any temperature. And would thrive. Even making burrows near the volcanic vents in such strategic ways to not get burnt.
They were even adept fighters. Often fending their homes off with their Antlers. And shedding them regularly at irregular times.
"Yeah. Weird." Kale responded.
"Its so cute!" Kirk said a bit to loudly. Startling it and causing it to scamper away.
"Aww...Man." Kirk sulked. His jacked ruffling.
"Well. Best to keep going."
Kale, Kirk and Noir had to walk through an abundance of Snow. But eventually they would come across the Obsidian Plains. A long stretch of Black Crystalline ground, just walking on it had a latent heat to it. It was as though the Crew had stepped from a Blizzard into a furnace. It was almost like a basalt flat or salt flat.
“Jeanne-Chan would’ve loved this.. she likes the heat right? Right? Do you think I should bring her over here after we take care of Leroy?” Noir started to ramble as they started to enter the sweltering heat and walk along the obsidian underfoot. While he was trying to keep his composure with the heat, it was hard to with all of those layers of clothing. He did end up starting to take off his jacket. “Neither of us are gonna be your wingman here, Noir” Kirk said bluntly before turning his attention back to the town up ahead.
“I don’t know how easy it’ll be to find Dr. Oslar… but let’s hope it doesn’t take to long” He spoke with a grim expression. He didn’t exactly want to split up due to the fact Kale would absolutely get lost and Noir might get caught up whatever pretty lady he sees whose in distress.
The Pervy chef and his ramblings were starting to get in Kale’s nerves, causing a visible vein to pop out of his skull. If it wasn’t for the current situation of the crew being so delicate he would attacked the pervert without a second thought. But they couldn’t waste the time, so he just walked alongside Kirk and tried his best to ignore him. “Any idea what this doctor-chick is supposed to look like? I doubt every doctor just walks around with a lab coat and a syringe in their hands.”
Maybe if Kirk had been smart and actually asked what this doctor looked like they’d have an easier time finding them. Was what Kale thought harshly. Cuz currently this is taking way too long. Kale’s jacket was open and wasn’t too thick so he didn’t need to worry about taking it off just yet. Maybe if it gets any hotter he’d need to but currently he’s cool.
