Dear Diary,
Kimi kinda panicked today. We know we aren’t going to remember what happened here. She asked if we’d get put together, which isn’t something we know about, and… Yeah, the thought of being separated from Y freaked her out.
I’m pretty sure that if our Admin has any say in who goes where, we’ll all be together. He knows us. He’ll put us in the same place, if he can. I know that. For absolute certain, I know it.
But if the Director is in charge of who goes where… She doesn’t really care. She might decide to put us in towns alphabetically or something.
So all we can do is hope the Director isn’t in charge!
Avi kinda said he wished the Director wasn’t in charge of anything ever. Y tried to say something about how there’s lots of things we haven’t been told; there might be a good reason she’s in charge and she’s doing a good job at whatever doesn’t involve us. But Kimi was still freaked out, so he didn’t finish the thought.
Mika said she wonders if the groups will be completely separate, or if we’ll be mixed. For her, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if she never sees Bacon again. But they are, kinda, together. And staying together would be nice.
I wonder if we’ll ever see our friends, like Fire or Octavius. Then I wonder if we’ll even recognize each other if we do. Like, if Avi and I meet Fire and Steel again, will we think they’re complete strangers? Or will we get a vibe kinda thing that we know each other and should be friends?
Will we recognize the kobolds? And be their friends? I hope so. I want to say I’d be sad if we aren’t, but I wouldn’t know to be sad. I won’t know I’m missing a bunch of friends, so, I guess I’d be ok?

I don’t know, this type of thing is way too complicated for me.
I’m glad I’m not an Admin. Admins have to think about all that, and no matter what they do, someone will probably end up sad.
Well, now I feel sorry for the Admins.
I still don’t feel sorry for the Director, though.
Anyways, I should go check on Kimi before heading to sleep.
Goodnight, Dungeon!

* * * * *
Admin 2 stared at his notification in mild shock.
Cloudchaser (Player 0465) has defeated Brick Wall Golem and received Diamond Drop. Dungeon in stasis.
“Huh,” he said, leaning back in his chair.
1 looked over. “Brick Wall Golem?”
“Yeah…” 2 cleared his throat. “I sent my players on an impossible fetch quest to unlock an unbeatable boss, which they had to defeat to get a rare drop. And… someone just did.”
4 and 6 got up, walking over to see the notification.
“After how many tries?” 4 asked.
Admin 2 pulled up a box, searching. “72.”
Everyone was appropriately impressed.
“What do I do now?” 2 asked, looking at the group. “I set it to freeze to give me time to think of a reward, but I never expected this to happen.”
Admin 1 frowned. “We are close enough to the end… Ask the Director if you can send them down early? You know you aren’t winning, so it shouldn’t matter.”
There was a pause as everyone considered.
“As long as you only send the people in your dungeon down, it shouldn’t be an issue,” Admin 5 said. “We do have everything set up and ready.”
“Still have to ask permission, though,” 6 shrugged.
Admin 2 nodded slowly. “Sure. Can’t hurt to ask.”
