Dear Diary,

There were some slight shenanigans today. Mostly in the form of teasing that we were ahead.

We’ve decided that if we ever get in a party of the six of us, we’ll have to truly race. Cuz now we’re separated whenever we get to a floor. Being able to race through the floors would be a fun challenge. Kimi and Y would enjoy arguing about who “wins” certain floors, like the puzzle floors.

It’s not likely to happen, but it’s possible.

So yeah, today was much calmer than yesterday. I think the only thing of note was, we passed by Hash and her party. It wasn’t as awkward as I thought it might be.

Oh, the catgirls aren’t all catgirls any more. The first catgirl floor is now an elf girl floor. And the second is a hobgoblin girl floor. It’ll be interesting seeing what all they’ve become.

Kimi really really hopes we’ll be turned into catgirls next cycle. I do too, and not just because I feel best as a catgirl. It would be good for several reasons.

Avi wonders if the animals will all be changed next cycle. Or at some point while we’re still here. I slightly doubt it, since that would mess up a bunch of floors. But it’s not impossible.

I wonder what they’d become. Or if there would even be a difference with a lot of them. Like, I’d love it if the slimes stopped being slimes, but the Admin said there will be slimes in the new world. So will they stay slimes? And if they change, would there be a bunch of mazes with, I don’t know, crocodiles in them? That would make going through the mazes easier, but they’re not supposed to be easy.

Yeah, I don’t think the animals will be changing. It would just mess things up. And I think people are being changed now so we can ask questions and get used to it. But animals can’t ask questions. Turning them into a new creature in a new place might be less stressful for them overall than first turning them into new creatures, then putting them in a new place.

And who knows, the Admins might have some kind of “things have always been this way” feeling they can give the animals. That would be nice.

Anyways, I should get to sleep.

Athena looked up as Pandora came into her shop.

“I got it,” the blacksmith said, grinning.

Athena moved around the counter. “Show me.”

“There’s a menu,” Pandora said. “Open your status and check changeling’s text color. It’s different from everything else, right? Because it’s selectable.”

Frowning, Athena pulled up her status sheet. Sure enough, the changeling race name was a different color. She tapped it with a finger, and a new box opened.

Changelings can mimic any sapient race they have touched, and can change hair/skin/eye color to any they have seen.

Athena slowly grinned, choosing elf. Another box popped up, this one showing a range of colors. After choosing silver hair and magenta eyes, she felt magic pass over her. In the window, her elven reflection smiled back at her.
