Dear Diary,

Today was… highly entertaining.

The guys had the same idea we did, about getting ahead and then telling people to slow each other down. I’m pretty sure more people agreed to slow the guys down than slowed us down, because we ended up in the lead a couple times.

I made everyone lunch, but Avi knows me too well and caught on that I laced the guy’s lunches with sleeping potions. Very sad. I mean, it still tasted good, it just would have made them sleepy! Then the guys got handcuffs from somewhere and tricked us into being handcuffed to… uh, various things in the cabins… But Steel is a good guy and left Fire the key to her handcuffs. So she got us out. Eventually.

We caught up with the guys after that and tied them up with rope. Lots of rope. Like, a truly ridiculous amount of rope.

Fire was worried they’d just get the rope off with magic, but Avi’s psychic magic won’t work on rope, and Y’s shadow magic won’t scare the rope. That left Steel’s earth magic, which, since he was the one who left us a way to escape, it’s fair we allow him a way to escape, too.

I don’t know exactly how he cut the ropes with dirt, but he managed it. Apparently.

Oh, while we were tying them up, Hash from Admin 5’s group passed by with her party. The other two people were ready to attack us, since we were being mean to the guys, but Hash has met our group and knew we were married. She explained, and Y agreed that what was happening was perfectly fine. I think they were still suspicious, but they left after that, so, yay?

If we ever meet them again it’s gonna be suuuper awkward.

Well, we’re on Floor 20, and I assume they’re here somewhere, too. But I haven’t seen them.

Anyways, we left the guys in a stairwell, and got here a little before dinnertime. I know it’s “smart” to eat, then keep going for a floor or two, but we decided not to. The inn here has a little porch with a swing, so we settled down on it and spent a relaxing hour waiting for the guys.

When they got here, Avi and I went to dinner with Fire and Steel. Y kinda grabbed Kimi and teleported away with her, it’s fine. We’ve decided that if they aren’t around when breakfast ends, we will not go searching for them, and will continue on without them.

Parties are only allowed to be within one checkpoint of all members, but we’re pretty sure they’ll have activated the party recall request by the time we get to Floor 25.

I’m not sure what we’ll try tomorrow. I think today was enough with the sabotage. Other than tying everyone’s shoelaces together, I don’t know what else to do. We don’t want to hurt anyone, just slow them down.

And no, we aren’t going to ask anyone for advice. That would be cheating somehow.

Honestly, if there were no shenanigans tomorrow, I’d be ok with it. Let today be uniquely very fun. The rest of the cycle can just be average fun.
