So, the Director decided to not remove all our weapons next cycle. Yay?

I think something weird is going on with her. It was just an odd set of messages.

Anyways, the Sams slept in this morning, so we caught up to them. We’re all on Floor 40 tonight.

Well, us, the Sams, Kimi and Y, and Aya and Mika are here. Staab said they’re between Floors 36 and 37. So most of us are here.

And yeah, Staab and Lily are together this cycle. Mostly because they were the last people to make a team. They aren’t, like, unhappy about it. But neither is exactly thrilled. It’s not awkward enough I feel sorry for anyone.

I made the chocolate and rock mix today. Avi is busy with something, so we haven’t tried it yet, but soon.

I didn’t tell anyone I was making it. I mean, other than Avi. He obviously had to know. Kimi would probably be very interested, but I want to see exactly what it does before giving it to someone who might set everything on fire. Again. It might be safe to give it to Mika, but Bacon isn’t around, so I’m not sure what she’d do with it.

So mostly I’m writing tonight while waiting for Avi to show up.

The Sams are debating a party for Cycle 30. We’re not sure what’ll happen that cycle, so they need a couple different plans, depending. My main contribution to the conversation would’ve been what type of food to have, so I didn’t need to be there.

Besides, at this point everyone knows what food I make. They can ask me tomorrow if I want to make something specific.

But Avi knows about illusions, so he and Mika need to be there to discuss things like fireworks or whatever. And to convince Y there isn’t time to make real fireworks. Or at least find a good reason why they shouldn’t make them.

They did promise to not explode a floor again. Back in the Cycle 12 party. That might be a good enough reason.

Oh, a few magic things have changed this cycle. Before, the debuff for using a magic color you weren’t specialized in was super harsh. That’s been cut in half just about. As far as I can tell, Avi’s illusions are almost back to what they were before he had to switch to psychic magic.

I’m glad. Because he’s really, really good with them.

And it means he won’t ever feel the need to go back to silver hair magic.

I wonder if we’ll have the same magic colors when we leave. I hope so.

Oh yeah, some spells have been added, too. Not combat spells, but more… like, stuff to help with household chores. And other things that would help in a job where attack magic isn’t needed. Just about every color has a telekinesis type spell now. So that’s cool.

I guess they’re changing the system to be closer to what it’ll be once we’re out. Overall, I think it’ll be a decent system.
