Dear diary,
The cocoon keeps on growing, it ate a lot of the trees and the moss are mostly gone. It's spreading outwards and absorbing more and more plants. Goodman had to cordon off the walking trails to prevent others from stumbling into the grove.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
It's feeding on the magic that's powering the wards so we had to take them down. Gina tried to set a piece of it on fire but then it grew much faster. She thinks it feeds on energy. We killed off all the remaining plants in its vicinity and blocked it off from the sun but it's still growing.
I think I even heard it call out to me, the rhythmic beating of its heart feels familiar.
Love,
Tina
