Dear diary,

The mansion was ultra sparkly today. I thought since everyone was so busy that I'll have the day off from tutoring and lend a hand with the prep work but no. I still had to do maths.

I learnt about taxes today. My maths tutor, Fabian, said that taxes are basically protection money. The crown takes a bit of money from all the people that live in their land and in turn they protect us from a lot of bad things. Like, monsters that want to eat people, or other people that want to steal stuff and burn down houses.
