Dear diary,
Goodman came back last night.
His eyes were swollen. I think he was crying again. He brought back a lot of food though. The Trader man must have been nice.
Goodman said he found a good base. He says we have to move again soon. The sleeping people aren't supposed to be awake yet, apparently. I hope Goodman would stop leaving me behind. He says he knows someone that can fix my arm for me, but I have to be strong for a while. He gave me medicine so it doesn't hurt so much anymore. We have to keep quiet because the burning men are coming this way. When the burning men pass we're going to move to a base.

I know I said I was gonna give you bread but you can have cracker instead.
