Dear diary,
Goodman puked when he saw the barbecue pile. I nearly did too.
We left the rundown house early in the morning when it was still dark. We're walking again. Goodman says the base is pretty far from here but we can reach it early tomorrow if we walk through the night. I told him I get really sleepy at night and he said he's going to carry me. He says we can't "dawdle around here." He uses such weird words sometimes.

And you know the explosions that I've been hearing? The burning men set them off. They're piling up all the sleeping people and blowing them up. I saw it.
They must really hate homeless people. I told Goodman we should get a house soon cause the burning men might come after us.
He just looked at me funny.
Love,
Tina
