Chapter Extra:  Aldeva City’s Crossroad 1

Chapter Extra:  Aldeva City’s Crossroad 1

I stare at the transparent glass where the brimming lights of the city illuminate everything from the roads filled with vehicles, skyscrapers that race towards the sky and even the room I am currently in.

Somewhere in Los Angeles in a first class hotel room, I sat at the edge of the bed with my body bare naked while I stare at the fantasy like scenery. The bright light of the chandelier proven that the night’s veil of darkness is futile. The room is filled with expensive and extravagant furniture like the canopied bed with messy sheets where I am sitting on.

However, even with the rich and wealthy atmosphere, the room is filled with smoke coming from the cigarette. Actually, I’ve just finished smoking four sticks while in a daze of watching the outside scenery.

In my moment’s daze, hands suddenly wrap my body and soft bountiful breasts are pushed onto my back without abandon as the woman puts her weight.

“Dozing off again, Fourth? It’s kind of disappointing that every single time we have sex, you’ll stare into nothingness like this.”

“Nineteenth, it’s always…like this whenever…we pair up for a mission. Sex before the mission…and sex after the mission…Don’t you get tired?”

“If it is with Fourth, it’s always enjoyable. I still remember the first time we did it five years ago. Back then, I am still stronger than you. How time flies so fast.”

“It’s kind of…regrettable that my sleeping habits were easily shattered back then.”

“But you easily got used to it and adapted so fast. You didn’t even falter from your first mission.”

“I don’t remember it that clearly and I don’t have…the time to do so.”

“You’re always this cold, however, contrary to your cold exterior you’re a big softie on the inside, especially toward kids.”

“……”

This woman is Nineteenth, an American.

She has an astounding body figure that looks like an hourglass. Her blond hair is wavy and reaches past her waist. She is fairly tall and intelligent. However, comes with her intelligence is her cunningness and unmatched deceitfulness. Her nature is a natural vixen and her senses are sharp enough to detect another deception.

Even within our organization of assassins that job is to eliminate threatening people who will cause unbalance to a country’s economy, Nineteenth is feared and greatly respected by our superiors.

Nineteenth is, of course, an alias. She sometimes calls herself Margaret. Sometimes, her name becomes Sally and much more to be mentioned. Of course, Fourth is also my alias inside the organization.

Our organization’s cause is to kill one and save a thousand. It is a little cliché and a little dramatic but I don’t give it too much attention as I only work for the high pay with high risk.

“You’re so good with anything given to you. If I give you a dagger, you’ll kill with a dagger. If I give you a gun of any type, you’ll use the gun to kill. Even if a give you a single pen, you will use it to kill. Everything that gets on your hands becomes a lethal weapon. Such is your talent, killing.”

“You’re making it sound like…I am a killing machine…”

“You are basically one.”

“That’s sad to hear…”

“Fourth, do you remember what I told you before you went for your first mission? The thing that I told you that you need to absolutely do?”

“I’ll never forget it…”

“……”

“Remember…every single people you’ve killed. Remember how many of them died in my hands.”

“Were you keeping track?”

“…No”

“Lies.”

“You’re just finding a reason to call me a monster again.”

“You are not. Fourth…no…Susanoo, even among the organization, even though people sees you as a monster, in reality, in contrast to your heartless figure when killing, you smile and you are joyful whenever you see children being happy whatever they receive from you.”

“……”

“I can tell that much. I am a vixen after all.”

Nineteenth’s last words were a sweet and erotic whisper thrown to my ears. Her soft warm body presses strongly to mine and her slender fair fingers trace on my neck to my clavicle down to my abdomen and eventually to my crotch.

However, I myself know that this isn’t an invitation anymore so with haste, I promptly drew a caliber forty-five lying under my clothes and without any struggle. I pinned her down on the bed as I straddle above her. I point the gun to her face at point blank range.

CLICK

“Order number eighty-six: Target is Nineteenth and must be killed. The mission is top class and must be done without alerting anyone’s suspicion even inside the organization.”

“The top brass is really scared of us, huh. Their asses must be really scared that their feces filled head can only have the two of us fight. Order number one hundred ninety-six: Target is Fourth and must be killed. The mission is top class and must be done without alerting anyone’s suspicion even inside the organization.”

“Nineteenth, you’ve already known about me before we even met.”

“Ah…I’m already busted…”

It is like what I said, Nineteenth already knew about me even in my younger days.

“You already had your eyes on me since my youth. You are constantly monitoring my actions. I’ve done some extensive research about you, Nineteenth. Even Kaori’s predicament was staged by you. Why?”

“Why, you ask? The result of my work is already self-evident. I made the man who you are now, Susanoo. Almost everything about you is perfect, including your senses to kill people without reserve. You are truly the greatest man who will make this world better.”

“All for…that? I don’t understand it. Was it really necessary? Did you find any satisfaction with such act?”

“Someday when you realized it, you will stop killing anyone blindly. The answer will naturally come to you.”

“Nineteenth, you are…the worst.”

“Thank you. It’s fun while it lasted, you distorted piece of shit.”

A dream of the past…

My eyelids slowly reveal what’s happening in front of me. A sweet aromatic tender food enters my nostrils and it somewhat appetizing. I immediately solved the mystery of the situation as I lift my head from the table where I fell asleep again.

The morning sun has already shined upon the place and warmth spreads all over the house. Currently, I am in a house in the city called Aldeva.

This is the city where we evacuated all of the fallen capital city of the dragon continent, the Dragon Capital Mujinn citizen where a large scale battle happened between us and the devils.

The current situation is far worse than anyone could have imagined.

Hundreds of casualties and soldiers lost their lives. Thousands of homes were burned down to ashes and it was too late when it came to us, the complete eradication of the capital by an unknown power. Even people known to me are now missing and everyone from our side is in complete mess except for Priscilla.

Also, with my awakened power as a reaper, I’ve become more sensitive to people’s death.

Injuries and wounds are sustained in that incident and dying from such are inevitable. There’s a lack of healers and even professional doctors in the place so the demand of treating every single needy people is completely overrun.

Even though…I just wanted to sleep, I can’t, because I was being constantly dragged around by someone…

“Susanoo, are you awake now?”

“…Yeah…”

A soft and huge mound of breasts suddenly rammed to my right arm and the culprit embraces me. Contrary to her small and petite figure, she dons breasts that look unnatural for her but fortunately, it doesn’t look weird to her.

The girl small girl is Cattleya Scarlet, the demon lord.

Dragged into this situation and lost her way to return to her land, she helps temporarily in this place until she finds a way to return. However, there were no boats that headed to the demon continent or any airship.

She struggles to help anyone in need to the point that she herself gets in trouble. If we don’t have Priscilla’s superior rule over everyone, we would have caused a far worst trouble.

“Susanoo, you fell asleep again. Please don’t do that at the table while I am cooking. Ah, breakfast is also ready so let’s eat.”

“Thank you…as always…Cattleya…”

“I-it’s nothing! A-After all…I…I…n-no…nevermind…”

Cattleya becomes fierce red and fidgety.

I learned various things from my master, Nineteenth, about how girls will act around you and their meaning behind it. She also taught me ways of seducing women in which I really never put any practical use since I have no interest in it.

The way Cattleya acts is already obvious to me, however, I cannot bring it up with her. She is practically a little sister for me or even less, a child who is infatuated with an adult.

I pat her head in which her beautiful crimson colored hair is together with her demon horns that sprouts. Cattleya becomes a little bashful and lets me do what I want with her. I rub her head left and right while letting out a satisfied sound as she places her hands on mine as she wants more.

“Let’s eat.”

“Okay!”

Cattleya wears a fluttery crimson dress that matches the color of her hair and eyes. The dress exposes her fragile looking shoulders and her thin and beautiful neck. As Cattleya happily hums as she runs to her chair, the bouncing of her chest becomes a little evident.

I should probably buy a vest or something later.

.

.

“Let’s go, Susanoo! There’s a lot more to do!”

“Don’t…pull…”

Cattleya completely becomes accustomed in this place as the dragon kins local of Aldeva could do nothing to the sight of her but smile as she happily pulls my hand. She’s so small compared to me and her tugging figure can be called nothing but adorable.

Cattleya and I are now headed to the evacuation site where people are still being treated and construction of new houses takes place for the refugees.

Priscilla handles everything. She is that woman who could be called inhuman. She orders people around with accuracy and precisely using each and everyone’s strength. She takes care a mountain load of responsibility like it is nothing and I never even see her takes a rest.

The one who contributed the most is Rose, the hero who mutated as a fairy. She uses her power to heal and cure sick people day in day out. The problem is her magical energy cannot hold out for more than three hours of continuous work. And so, to some extent, Cattleya and I help out the people who are not treated yet and people are who are already treated but still have some minor complications.

“Susanoo, what are you thinking?”

“Ah…nothing much. You sure are lively…even today.”

“I have to. I have to smile and show that I am full of energy for those who are in need. It is like when I work as a demon lord, I need to put up face to ease my people’s worries.”

“……”

“I wonder what’s happening to my country right now. I…really want to return…”

“……”

“I still haven’t resolved the issue about famine and lack of food resources. I haven’t organized the trading route properly for this and next month.”

“……”

“Ah! I’m not saying I will abandon people here! I want to help as much as I can even though they are not my people!”

What a good girl.

Even though she doesn’t have any responsibilities with them, she wholeheartedly gives everything she has for the dragon kin. Their emperor perished already but we are keeping the information sealed as to not cause panic. And the reason she is always with me is because when Priscilla realized who Cattleya is, she ordered me to stick with her and act as a bodyguard.

“You’re so virtuous. No wonder…Diyu and you are good friends.”

“Diyu…and Sir Ichirou… I wonder what happened to them…”

“Do you…miss Diyu?”

“I do! She is my childhood friend after all and she’s like a sister to me! Diyu always has my back and even when I became the demon lord, Diyu never ceases to help me even though she is shy to tell me about it.”

“…you are worrying too much.”

“Susanoo?”

“If you…know Diyu that much…then…you should trust her. As for Ichirou…I trust…him…”

“I see…that’s reassuring coming from you.”

Cattleya clings to my arm and squeezed her breast into mine. She clutches to me tightly as the thought of her dear friend and her own domain crosses her mind. Ashfon who dons a face of a perfect ruler aside, Cattleya is someone who wants to rule with façade of a tyrant in which she can’t do perfectly.

That’s to be expected for someone as young as her. She cannot fake her attitude without any backlash to her own psychological health. Perhaps she becomes more sensitive to her own council’s hostility because of her façade.

Her power of bringing disaster is to be feared by anyone.

It is not a power to be used in a head-on battle but a power to threaten a whole city. She can bring disasters such as an earthquake with an intensity that will vary depending on her allocated magical energy, a typhoon that would destroy crops and will blow away houses and may even kill people, a tsunami that could drown and flood the place and much more.

For that power, Cattleya is feared among her own council but not respected due to her young age.

.

.

.

“Susanoo! They are moving!”

“…You mean…those two?”

“Yes…”

While walking down on a crossroad, Cattleya’s magic senses picked up another activity from the two travelers that arrived here yesterday.

Yesterday, she sensed a presence with strong magical power besides the heroes that entered the city. Since she alerted me, I didn’t hesitate to search for them with her to see if they are dangerous or not.

Cattleya leads me throughout the city to find the source of the strong magical power and after walking for half an hour, to our surprise, we found two young girls.

Cattleya pointed out the source of the strong magical power that she isn’t familiar with. It’s a girl shorter than her with fox ears and tails with caramel brown hair. She wears oriental clothes and like Cattleya, even for her young appearance, she is a beauty with a poker face.

But contrary to Cattleya’s worry, what catches my attention the most is the fox girl’s companion.

A girl with average height donning a silky silver hair and bright yellow eyes with a genuine smile plastered all over her face. Her breasts are a little bigger than Cattleya’s and her overall physique is a normal teenage girl.

However, no one, not even a single person seems to notice it. Even Cattleya and the other heroes seem like won’t be able to. Only I who has an eye that can see the border of life and death could notice it…

Since meeting them, Cattleya sticks closer to me but I took the liberty to talk to them and introduce them to a good inn in which the two gladly take.

However, I marked them and have Cattelya tell me if they move places. Right now, we are heading towards the place where they are going.

“Susanoo, are you sure?”

“I am. There’s something disturbing about the silver haired girl.”

“I don’t think they would be causing trouble like you told them.”

“I…think too…but…I’d rather check on them.”

“If you say so.”

Again, Cattleya leads me to where they are but honestly, if put a little effort, I could detect their location myself but…I wouldn’t put effort for something troublesome…

Going here and there, it took no more than ten minutes before we saw them again. The two girls immediately spotted us.

“Hey, over here, over here!!”

The silver haired girl spotted us and waves her hand energetically. The fox girl clicks her tongue and made an annoyed expression. We did want to check on them but as soon as we saw each other, they immediately approached us.

“Mister, it is as you said, the inn you recommended to us is good!”

“Alstroe, you don’t have to talk to him…”

“Aw, Higan, are you still mad?”

“Your hands are off limit on my tails for a while.”

“Ueeeh?!”

Hmm!?

This scent…!

Those two are emitting faint scent is a scent that girls only produce when they’ve done an intense night activity. Upon closer observation, there’s an unusual glow on their faces the scent lingering around them smells like an odor a flower would emit.

An unusual odor wafts around them which is sweet but a little salty, however, still enticing and lovely without any foulness to it. Also, there are no traces of a male scent with it so they could have possibly done it with each other…

The silver haired girl notices my gaze and turns her head towards me.

“What seems to be the problem?”

“……”

“Is there something in our faces?”

“You…did you just had s—“

“Hmm?”

The silver haired girl dumbly tilted her haired before I could finish my question. I didn’t bother anymore as she seems to an idiot. The fox girl is likewise, it seems that she won’t have any idea even if I ask. Knowing that these two do something unfamiliar to them, I don’t think I have any rights of reprimanding them as an outsider and I should keep in mind about their privacy.

However, I won’t stop from asking the question I’ve wanted to ask to these two since yesterday.

“You two…do you two happens to know about…Asagao?”

When Asagao’s name came up, the atmosphere changes to worst. An explosive amount of magic energy bursts forth from the fox girl as she looks at me with hostility. Even the silver haired girl put up her defense and took a fighting stance.

Cattleya got startled and hides behind me. Even if Cattleya has stronger magical power, her spells are not fit for a battle such as this. Also, because of her power’s destructive nature, casting it here would cause I great mayhem.

I keep my cool even faced with these two’s aggressive stance. It seems that they do know Asagao…

“You piece of shit. Who the hell are you to utter Asagao’s name?!”

“Higan, be careful. You should have already sensed that he is fairly dangerous!”

“I know no danger as long as it involves Asagao!”

They seem to have misunderstood me.

This is going to be a hard one.
