The night forest that basks in moonlight gives a serene radiance. The cabin where my master, Astlan Lionheart, stayed, will be vacated for the next passing moments.

“I no longer have any rights to be here.”

“Go live your life as you please from now on. It’s not my business anymore for whatever you guys would wind up.”

His last parting words, the last picturesque view of his back walking away from us, the Guardians of the Forest that he chose a long time ago.

Up until this day, I still question why he left us suddenly like that. Up until this day, we are at loss of what to do so we stayed in the forest, at the same lifestyle that we had just so to protect the sole memory we have of him.

Through his power, we gained awareness and strength. Through his magnanimous attitude, we learned kindness.

Eternity Lightning Fang, a friend of mine, a fellow guardian, stayed because he wanted to preserve anything that our master left and to protect the place he created.

Alpha Wolf, also one of our companion, left accordingly from Astlan, from our master’s words and left his pack. He wanted to see the world and enjoy what he didn’t experience inside the Fairy Forest.

Lastly, I, Behemoth, took a form of a servant and serve in the mansion just for my own amusement.

But, it was not enough.

I wanted to see the world too, the world which my master saw and what he witnessed. A world that is so beautiful that he spared it and in the process, gave his life for it.

Along the way of my search for an answer, I found friends and companions, important people who would return the feelings of camaraderie that I’ve longed.

I now go by the name Mimi, a simple cute maid.

I stretch my arms that got stiff from a bad sleeping posture and it made satisfying cracking sounds. Since coming to this place, the Astlan Castle, where my current master is, Asagao Lionheart, I found myself nothing to do.

Since I have nothing to do, for now, I was taking a nap under a tree.

Topaz is occupied with her so-called mother and Asagao is running around and doing works while keeping an eye to that man called Nil. Alstroemeria is meditating because Hydrangea told her to do so in preparation to extract the thing called Seed inside her body.

And the only people who are in front of me right now are…

It was that Tzari guy and the girl called Daisy.

They are practicing the thing called Ki today too in the field of grass with heated spirit. The little cub girl is doing her best but honestly, since I can’t see or feel this Ki thingy, I’m stumped and clueless and they look stupid in front of me.

Teehee, I won’t say that aloud though.

Peace has come and devils are gone so what’s the point of all of this?

Is gaining more strength and power necessary? I don’t understand the way of life outside the forest at all and honestly, I don’t even have the slightest clue of how their culture works.

Not only that, maybe because of my master but, everything outside the forest seems…primitive.

We got a lot of things called machinery and technology in the forest that most don’t have. It was convenient and it’s a lot easier to live a life there.

But, oh well, my master now is Asagao and I have decided to dedicate my life to her. The contract that we made with each other is the proof.

Suddenly, a shivering and lump of magical energy appeared beside me. The sudden invasion of the sensation made me jerk from my seat and I stood up in attention.

It was the Violetta lass.

This has become a daily occurrence that we, who are involved made a schedule for it. We called it the cuddle duty. We will stay with King Ashfon Astlan for a duration of approximately two hours to boost his working speed and replenish his motivation.

Seeing that he is getting absorbed with his work again with tired eyes, I carefully slip into his lap without disturbing him as much as I can. Since my current body is petite and as almost as small as Asagao, I’m a perfect fit on his lap.

King Ashfon’s body is big and muscular and I can feel that under his clothes. His arms are surely trained as his biceps is twice bigger than mine or more.

But more importantly, if Asagao is my previous master’s daughter then this man, the one who I am having a close body contact right now, has the same presence and ambiance as him.

For me, it’s soothing and comfortable.

As I am having this thought, he kept reading and moving his pen in a deft manner. Since we are going to be like this for the next hours, I might as well engage with him in a conversation.

There, the girl called Hydrangea stands with a cold piercing eye that stares down on me.

She directed her gaze on King Ashfon.
