Casablanca and Hibiscus fly towards the sky and their power glows ever so bright that the night sky becomes illuminated. Their power synergy skyrocketed that everyone felt how tremendous their divine powers are.
“[Asterism – Eclipse!]”
With the skill they cast, Emby completely swallows Hibiscus and they become the sun the shines in the starry night sky. After that, Casablanca flies towards Hibiscus’ front and compressed every ounce of energy everywhere and the heat and light of the sun are compressed to the center.
The sunlight only shines at the center of the now formed circle and outside of it becomes pitch black like the sunshine is trapped within the space. After that, an array of transmutation and insignia started spreading across the sky as the eclipse at the center.
As the eclipse is too far from the devil, all it could do is to glare at it while growling. Its growl vibrates the sea making ripples that shake the ships.
THUMP
My chest suddenly pounded.
It pounds again and again. I direct my look at the eclipse.
THUMP
The pounding resonates with the eclipse. I immediately understand what was this pounding in my chest is indicating. Learning of its meaning, I run towards the resting Merissa together with Ferd.
“Merissa! I’m going to talk with the ship’s captains! There is something big that’s about to come! Ferd, please order the crew to turn back at full speed!”
“Aye!”
I dash to the control room and immediately grab the microphone and turn on the communication channel. I inhale deeply and…
“EVERYONE, TURN AROUND AND ESCAPE AT FULL SPEED! YOU ARE IN THE BLASTING ZONE! DON’T LOOK AT THAT ECLIPSE AT YOUR OWN LEISURE BECAUSE IT’S GOING TO DESTROY YOU!”
After I shouted, I took some time to regain my breathing and run out of the control room to look at the ships. I climb the crow’s nest because I definitely can’t calculate the distance on the map. The wind blows so strong since the ship started to run at full speed.
I squint my eyes towards the giant devil. I saw the ships fleeing from its vicinity. Every ship is clearing the vicinity what’s left is the enemy we are having a hard time defeating. As I confirmed that every ship isn’t in the blasting zone anymore, I hold my hand in my chest in prayer.
THUMP
It was a signal that everything is okay.
GURURU
The sky becomes dyed in the flare of the sun and several cracks appear. From those cracks, countless of smaller eclipse peeks out from it and gathers power.
In an instant… everything went white.
From the large eclipse that Casablanca and Hibiscus made, a ray of light that incinerates and breaks down everything up to its molecules is fired. The radius of the ray of light is so huge that it covers the whole body of the devil. Not only that, the same ray of light, but smaller, from the cracks, bombarded it too with the larger ray.
The explosion evaporated the seawater and parted the ocean at the place where is happens. Water splashes towards the sky making it looks like it is raining and rainbow spreads out everywhere.
Small tsunami hits our ship and swallowed it but thanks to its odd future-esque structure and machinery, it survives. The ships nearby are also fine and it is safe to say that there were no casualties.

As the waves, after a few minutes calms down, everyone frantically searches for the sign of the huge devil and to everyone’s relief, it was nowhere to be found anymore. It was completely obliterated by Casablanca and Hibiscus.
The eclipse in the sky diffuses and Casablanca who is riding her crescent moon and Hibiscus who is riding Emby appears again. The problem is that the divinity is slowly fading from them as the insignia behind them slowly fades. I can feel the divine power coming back to me.
“Ferd, hurry up and start the ship again. Let’s go towards where the two will fall! Quick!”
“Aye, Captain Gao!”
Ferd rush towards the control room.
The ship started sailing again per my order.
“You’re getting damned accustomed now, Gao.”
“Merissa, are you alright? What happened between you and Casablanca?”
“Yes, I’m fine. I’m just going to get sore for the next three days, that’s all. Also, for Ca, I just gave her a push that she definitely needed. It was quite surprising how powerful she becomes.”
“Is that so? Thank you for saving her, Merissa.”
“No need, you’ve to save more than I did so I am the one thankful here. Also that ship formation earlier, it was quite fantastic. Maybe at this time, you might get hailed as the emperor of the sea.”
“You jest…”
I briefly ended our conversation. Casablanca and Hibiscus lose their powers and their ability to fly. The bright night sky returned to its original dimness and the phenomena that happened earlier feels like a dream.
As they fall, Casablanca and Hibiscus hold hands. Casablanca squeezes out an ample amount of magic to soften their landing and uses her soul weapon as a raft. They both lay their body on the crescent moon while half of them are still submerged in the water. The idiot bird brain, being a bird of fire, hate water and stays at the center of the crescent moon.
The ship stops before them and me, the worried big sister immediately jumps down.
Using a flat barrier, I made a foothold for me to stand. The two looks at me and smiles.
“You two really overdid it, huh…”
“Yeah! It was the first time we felt so strong! It was the first time we feel truly connected with each other, and it was the first time that I caught a glimpse of Hibiscus’ inner self.”
“Geez, Casablanca…you’re embarrassing me…Also…Casablanca…I’m sorry if I always keep everything within…”
“No! I am the one who should apologize for being insensitive! I am glad that Hibiscus can smile and laughs genuinely.”
“Thank you…Casablanca…From now, we will experience so many things together. I want to be with you when the time comes.”
“Piii!”
“Don’t forget Emby, Hibiscus.”
“Emby too!”
I am proud…
These two was able to settle their differences that they weren’t able to see on each other some time ago. They have exceeded that bond that they have and their intimacy with each other reaches new heights.
Like Fon and me… even though we are technically siblings, I feel like we overcame a problem that only the two of us could solve. A problem that was created through our own misgiving and solve by admitting and fixing that said misgiving.
I extend both of my hands towards them to give them a lift.
“Here, you two. You might catch a cold, you know?”
“Thank you too, Asagao. Because of you, we learned so many things.”
“It is as Hibiscus said, Asagao, you are a big inspiration for us.”
They reach out to my hand, when suddenly…
SPLASH
The three of us including Emby find ourselves being grabbed by a giant hand. It took me a few seconds to process what happened…
As I turn my head…
The devil that was supposed to be dead…was holding the three of us in its hand. Its face and everything is melting but it was still alive and still regenerating.
Eh…?
“Ca, Cus, Gao!!!”
Merissa shouted as the three of us is taken by the giant devil…
It started tightening its grip. Although its grip is weakened to an extent, we immediately felt being crush from its massive hand.
“Ack!! Ca-Casablanca!!”
“Hngghh! Hibiscus!”
No way…did we underestimate its regeneration?
Pain crept all over my body and it can feel my bone slowly creaking. I feel like I am losing my mind from the intense pain…
No…Not like this…

“[Hundred Meter Sword – Mountain Cleaver!!]”
Suddenly, a huge sword appears out of nowhere and severed the hand of the devil that was crushing us. As it lost its hand, the devil staggers and retreated a few step back.
The giant hand that held us lost its tight grip and we were flung towards the ocean. Before our falling momentum increases, someone caught the three of us in its embrace. The one who catches us lands on SS Iowa.
Casablanca and Hibiscus are barely conscious and Emby snuggles to Hibiscus and Casablanca. Merissa runs over to us to check if we are safe. She immediately calls for a medic on board to treat our injuries.
I look at the man who saved us. I already knew who is he because of the giant sword earlier…
“Ichirou-nii!”
“…”
“What’s wrong…?”
“Asagao…”
GUAAAHHH!
The giant devil screams as if it was enraged. The hand that it lost starts regenerating too and even though it is still alive, it is still trying to fix itself.
GUAAAHH!
“SHUT UP!!”
“[Battle Axe – Heaven Splitter!!]”
From the scream of the devil comes the thunderous roar of Ichirou that seems to shakes the air. As he roared too, a giant battle axe manifests and he planted it on the devil’s face rendering it unable to use its mouth.
As the devil couldn’t speak anymore, Ichirou once again fixes his eyes on me.
“Ichirou-nii?”
His eyes have a deep rooted anger and I can feel that anger manifesting right in front of me. His stare kept me locked in my place as it absolutely scary.
“S-Stop that…Ichirou-nii…you’re scaring me…”
“What do you have to say for yourself, Asagao?!”
“What are…you getting so angry for…? We currently have an enemy we need to defeat, can we stop this?”
“…”
“Ichirou-nii!”
“You…! Don't you know how worried I am?! Good thing I saw that huge light indicating that you used Divine Ascension because I can’t specifically track you down in this vast ocean and just when I get here, I saw you guys in danger!”
“…”
“You three promised that you will return before sunset but you didn’t! I was frantic and worried and now, not even a sorry!!?”
“W-Wait! Who are you?! Whatever happen it was my fau--!”
“YOU?!”
“Hih!”
Merissa tried to interject in our conversation by taking in the fault but Ichirou glare at her. He immediately snaps at her and it scared the hell out of Merissa.
I never knew Ichirou can be this angry…it’s scary…
