The King coquettishly dismissed the issue without any further ado. I’m a little relieved for that but I know that sooner or later, I’ll be confronted regarding it.

Nonetheless, thank goodness.

I don't want to say anything right now since I still haven’t come up with any reasons to pass this. The king surveys all of the heroes. He seemed to have come to a conclusion and nods.

“Heroes, for why we summoned selfishly, I myself will apologize. As for the reasons…” 

The king bowed for a firm apology.

The tension has become lighter too. I can relax a little as the attention spans greatly at the situation at hand. Now that everyone here reassured that this king had said it himself, but still, they are not letting their guard down either.

Our continent, where human reside is called Land of Prosperity in which blessed with an abundance of land to cultivate and resources to refine. Across our continent lays hundreds of towns and cities to be ventured. Generally, humans mainly live on this continent.”

“The Neighboring continent to our east is the Land of Greenwoods where Elves lives. The elves are expert spirit magicians and they cultivated and utilized the usage of the forest they lived in. Because of high purity of their magic, animals in their continent are greatly demanded and due to the fact that we are just next to them, we have good trading relations with them.”

“The continent on our west is the Valley of Ancients where the Dragon kin resides. The continent is mainly where the dragon lives governed by the dragon emperor. Their lands are composed of rocky plateaus, canyons, and desert. Among the known continent in this world, the Valley of Ancients can be considered the largest existed.”

“The continent below the Land of Greenwoods is the continent of the dwarves namely Mountain Range of Metal. As the name implies, dwarves live in those mountainous part of this world. The dwarves the mainly live there are experts in forging and metallurgy. Since they are a highly valued race in which the people craft weapons and armors for war, we don’t antagonize them too much.”

“The continent below the Valley of Ancients where the Fairy kin lives is called the Rainforest of Healing. It is the continent where the said Yggdrasil tree stands atop everything where even mountains are put to shame. The thing is, fairies seclude themselves in their forest and rarely shows up in settlements. They are expert healers and they are also known to have a vast amount of knowledge that we, the people outside of their sacred grounds, do not know.”

 “The continent opposite to ours is the Land of Magic Gatherings where the Demon kin lives. The continent of the demons is filled and brimming with magic. Demons are expert magic theorists and researchers. They are also expert in magic compounding and producing magical tools. With rich resources, the demon race started a friendly trade with us solely to boost their economic needs.”

“The continent in the ridge of Land of Greenwoods and Mountain Range of Metal, there is The Islands of Thousand where the Beast kin lives. The beast kins are expert traders and they are the one who fares the sea. Their continent gathers merchants and nobles all around the whole for trading. “

 Uwaah… this is a really cool place!

Every fantasy creatures are here. The tension of the others is getting high. They seemed to accept what is happening too or that’s what I think. To think that many races live here in this world.

“All of the races here live in harmony and peace. We have a relationship of give and take as every race has their own specialties. We settled every conflict with competition. I have taken the throne for only five years but these rules have been there for a hundred years now.  Even the demon kin that once detested human and likewise human detested the demon kin, are now interacting in frugally but peacefully. There are also many cases of intermarriage you know.”

That’s the best news I heard! Intermarriage! Again, the tension soared higher now. Among the boys, I should be one too, but I am missing my male genitals you know.

“But the continent in the middle, the continent no one has inhabited, started gushing out dreaded aura. We have a common problem regarding the magical beast which attacks and kills everything in sight. However, magical beasts are a common sight in this world. The real problem is, even though the island was isolated, the influence of the pugnacious aura reaches any continent and that alone spawns devils! Okay… this sounds really dangerous. I myself know I hate painful things… I hated it since I was young. Even with a small scratch, I will bawl myself out. It’s really pitiful, I know but I can’t help it. That comes with emotional pain too. That is why I did my best not to be bullied.

I did my best not to feel anything at all…

But there are just times that I really don’t feel myself and becomes upbeat.

“We, the Astlan Kingdom, requests for your assistance for this calamity we are facing right now. Please, gallant heroes, answer our call.”

The king, the royal guards and the councilor bow down altogether. I will say it again. The king and his retainers are too humble. I don’t want to go to a fight but what choice do I have?

I wonder how the others will answer.They seem to be looking at each other.

Hey! Don’t leave me out!

 I protested inside my mind. Of course, no ears will reach my distress voice.

They did look at me like they are stealing glances. Not entirely giving me any attention. Some are also wary of me, some are just uncaring, but most of them are looking at me with pity. I can’t stomach how they stare at me like I shouldn’t be here.

If that’s what they think, fine.

“King, you are too humble. This is my honest opinion. We do not have any choice but to fight for your kingdom. To bow down to us even more, it seems you really are in a desperate time. This is what I would ask. A method of return, do you have any?”

The man with brown hair said it in one breath. It seems everyone here is calm and reasonable. I like how they are not behaving like a child.

Seriously, this is an outrageous situation. It seems like the comedy skit earlier made the tension reasonably lower so we can have a calm conversation without anyone heating up. and have everyone sorted their thoughts easily.

“I am deeply moved by your honest answer. Although I am still apologetic for pulling all of you in our world’s problem, let me convey my thanks. Of course, I will be more than willing to fill all of your needs in my domain. As for the method of return, I, again deeply apologize, but we do not have”

A method of return… although it doesn’t concern me, I felt really bad for the other as they are looking down with grim faces. I wonder, some of them still keep straight faces even a fact such as that is laid down. Maybe like me, they do not have much attachment to our world.

After that, they faced the king again after getting over it. You guys recovered so fast! Is this one of the qualifications of being a hero too?!

“I see. Even though we want to pursue the topic, it would be pointless. So please now, tell us your plan for us.”

The king replied in a shocked but in a kind manner.

“O Gallant Heroes, may we discuss the plans tomorrow, the dimensional transfer may have depleted most of your energies. I shall have the mai-…err … servants accompany you to your rooms.”

He was about to say maid when he realized that there is a maid in the group of heroes. The brown haired handsome affirmed with “we shall comply” and then after the king gave a signal, the servants entered the hall and gesturing us respectfully to follow them as they are going to escort us to our respective rooms. 

A Maid with beautiful strides compelling with her brown hair accompanied me. Among all the maids in tow, she is the tallest and the most fairest of them all.

And when I said the tallest, she is a little taller than the King.

Uwaah…

She faithfully sticks to me and took me to my room and now, beheld in front of me is that room!

 My room, it’s wide! Really wide! So cool! Ah! The view from my window displays the moon brightly! Uwaah! There are three moons! This is really another world! My bed is soft and fluffy! There is a bookshelf too! I like reading you know!

I was frolicking in the whole room, then I realize that the servant…maid was still there. Actually, it’s fun to see a maid escorting a maid! But let us get back to right now. The maid was staring at me warmly.

I reflexively cower on the side of the bed…

“I’m sorry…”

Eh?! Did I just lisp again? A tongue of a 9 years old girl is not that flexible. With that mistake, I felt steams are rising from my face… I am seriously going to have complications in my health if this goes on! 

“KYAAAAH! HAPPINESS! TO BE ASSIGNED TO THIS LITTLE ANGEL! EVERYONE IN THE HALL WAS EYEING ON YOU FROM BEHIND YOU KNOW?! WE EVEN FOUGHT OUTSIDE TO KNOW WHO IS GOING TO ESCORT YOU! FORTUNATELY I'M STRONG! KYAAH I WANT TO GLOMP ON YOU RIGHT NOW DEAR LITTLE HERO!”

She is no good maid too! And they were eyeing me from behind?! Wait, they also fought each other too? Is that why you have a large bump on the back of your head?! Don’t you need medical treatment? While at it please, please have your sanity checked too!

Now that I think about it, I did sense some malicious gaze on my back earlier.

”Ehem. Excuse me of my impudence. I was a carried away a little there. Now then Miss Little Hero. Your supper will be delivered in a moment. Please stay rested in this room.”

She left.

Carried away a little my face, you were totally screaming from the bottom of your lungs. After her speech earlier, compared to when she got serious, there is a big gap.

That’s a professional for you. I am now called little hero too. Why do I feel the naming sense of this world is... how do I say it…straightforward.

For now, I checked my appearance in the mirror…

Even girls will be enchanted with this looks. I have come to know the disastrous charm my face has. Dangerous! I might fall in love with myself if I stare a little longer. Even I know how to discern good appearances of each gender.

But this face completely broke the gender barrier.

Also, I am a little girl. I don’t mind, but being small has its advantage and disadvantages. Now that I compared myself to the people earlier, aren’t I the smallest? Like the tiniest among them?

No point in thinking about it too much! Right now! Yes! Magic! I know I have an aptitude for it since I can sense it from that Lily girl earlier.
