Chapter 307: The Girl who Cried Sheep 1

Ki, like magic, is omnipresent. It exists everywhere in this world, however, unlike magic that can use to manipulate phenomena and controls properties, Ki directly influences a people’s abilities just by existing. There are a lot of factors that Ki and magic can be classified as almost identical but magic needs a direct intervention to be fully utilized while Ki imparts growth to almost everything.

The natural growth through the marginalized factor of Ki is called Bahata Hua. The word strongly stems from the ancient culture or religion of what made the Teachings of Shiva is. Presumably from a culture that didn’t exist in this world eons ago.

According to Tzari, who has learned the Teaching of Shiva from eons ago, there are a lot of Ki growth that varies from person to person. Each and everyone’s Ki fluctuates from an action or form they are most efficient is.

In ancient texts of Teachings of Shiva and partly, the Teachings of Brahma, there are more than thousands of those forms and growths, however, Tzari made a simplified and a narrower chart or a way to determine the person’s aptitude.

He gave those aptitudes five forms to easily categorize them.

Stike Spec, Protective Spec, Specialized Spec, Stability Spec, and lastly, Supportive Spec.

Stike Spec as what it implies, Ki users who specialize in attacking and anything offensive in physical form. Whenever an action will take place. In an example, the movement of the arms going for a punch, the ki around the arm will fluctuate and give boosts to the action.

Protective Spec gives boosts to self-defense reactions and abilities. There are some complicated factors underlying the concept of protection, however, it would most likely include health or immune system against diseases and illnesses.

Specializes Spec also branches to a lot of variation. It’s a kind of Ki form the can also be associated well with magic, whether the magic used is used for defense or attack, the specialize spec would most likely give a boost to it. This type of spec is commonly known within the Ki practitioner to be the most efficient for people who both trains magic and Ki.

Stability Spec has an alias and that’s called Jack of all trades but master of none. Its scope ranges from every form but cannot maximize its efficiency. One could say that it is a form that one would either want or not but at the same time, probing for your exact weakness will be proven difficult for your opponent. Their Ki is always stable whatever actions they take.

Supportive Spec is a Ki that almost categorizes with the Teaching of Brahma because of the pursuit of preservation rather than destruction. To sustain life force of others, to give relief of physical and mental burden, that is the way of Supportive Spec, however, the very core of deconstructing Ki for itself for others is the very means of the Teachings of Shiva.

Thus, Tzari simplified all form befitting of a person’s Ki aptitude, to give them form befitting of their own abilities. Each spec can branch down to another style.

For example, Strike Spec is for an attack, however, one can also choose what attack would yield a stronger power of Ki such as kick of punch. From there, one can even further branch it out whether they want strength or speed. From there, one can now freely choose what style of fighting or martial arts they want to pursue.

All the same, can be said with the other Ki Specs. As such, the Teaching of Shiva can have a lot of branch for each individual.

In there, Tzari’s lecture ends.

“So, how is it? Ki is so cool, right?!”

“Are you an advertiser or something?”

“It was my side job back then.”

I regret retorting to that one.

Anyway, we’ve learned a lot from Tzari’s lecture about Ki. It was a general guideline or basic of what to know about Ki.

“Hey, then, what about me being good at Strike Spec Ki?”

Daisy pops a question towards Tzari with a tilted head. Her questioning gaze directly meets with Tzari’s eyes that immediately widens from Daisy’s query.

“I mean what I said. Little Daisy has a good affinity with Strike Spec Ki.”

“H-how so?!”

“Every swing of your sword wields a fluctuation in your Ki, around your torso.”

“Not hands or even legs?!”

“It basically refers to your core that exerts all the strength in that tiny body of yours. It’s a huge control to the output of your attack and the lethality of every hit you make.”

“I…I don’t get it.”

“You have a good form when you attack. You don’t easily break stance and you exert strength from those correct postures despite your sloppy use of magic. Fighting toe-to-toe with Cecille proves that.”

“That means I still have an aptitude?! I…I am so amazing!”

Yeah, that’s a praise girl, however, don’t take it too far, okay?

To be honest, I gave up with this aptitude thingy but learning about it won’t hurt. I only know a handful of Ki users. If I list some, I’d say some fairy kin with names I don’t know but they are most likely follows the Teaching of Brahma instead of Teaching of Shiva.

And it gives me more clues about Alstroe’s condition.

…Wait, now is the time I need to ask about that, right? Or rather, Tzari should already be aware of it!

“Then, when we start my training?!”

“Whoa there! Don’t rush, little cub. I did say that you have aptitude but I am currently on a break from teaching right now. As soon as you guys finish your purpose here, I’ll also leave.”

“But you said training!”

“I did? I did so, hahaha! Well, since I said that, I should do something about it.”

It’d be fine if he said he has some kind of dementia but, his eyes indicates that he is quite evasive of it. Even though he is so motivated with teaching little girls.

“Actually, I really planned to do a field research since it seems I can now venture the southern part of the map.”

“Southern part?”

“Yeah, since the Sage of the South has felled, it’s high time for me to take cover for his loss.”

Southern Sage? This is kind of new to me.

No, everything he says comes as new to me. Just to be sure, I’ll ask.

“When you said Southen Sage, who are you referring to?”

“Oh? And I thought you know it, little Asagao.”

“Know of it? There’s only one sage that I…Ah…!”

My master…Mrothgir…

“The Sage of the South, the White Dragon Sage, and the one that contributed to the field of Magic, Mrothgir.”

“You are saying that you also know about him personally, huh?”

“But I do. We once shared our treasury of knowledge with each other. I, the Sage of the North or whatnot title is nothing to scoff at.”

“So as to say, you are the Sage of Ki and my master is the Sage of Magic.”

“That’s correct! Though, he, as a dragon kin, can live for long years, I have to use Ki to revert back to my younger self once in a while to preserve myself.”

“And you chose to do that stuff before we even got here…”

“It’s just a coincidence.”

This man brings a lot of surprises but for some reasons, I get stone-faced about all of them, or rather, it was just what I am expecting from the man who actually trained Alstroe.

“Then, did the same thing happened to Alstroe as well? The way she is now…”

“Hmm? Alstroe’s case is entirely different, you know.”

“Yeah, about that. Do you know anything about it? Do you think we can revert Alstroe back to her normal body?”

Tzari ponders for a moment as he takes Alstroe down from his shoulders.

“Say, why would you want for her to return to her original form?”

“I thought about that too.”

“EH?!”

Alstroe’s voice shrieks upon my agreement from Tzari’s words. I mean, she is tamer and easy to carry around this way. Also, I really don’t expect any major events anymore where we need Alstroe’s over-the-top Ki power and my Divine Ascension.

If I may, I want to keep the peace of this world with more effort given by its residents.

“Wait, wait, wait! It’s not really a problem but Asagao, don’t you love my boing boing!!~ if I can get back to my original form, you can see them again!”

“Boing…boing…?”

Tzari heard those words and direct his gaze at me.

It was an utterly disgusted and disbelief one.

“Heh, unlike you, I’m cultured.”

“Shit taste.”

This man…!

You are just an offender waiting to happen after all!

“Well, shenanigans aside, Alstroe’s condition is far from what I do to my body as revitalization. From what I am sensing, her Ki made a stop-gap inside of her body. Meaning, she has already recovered most of her Ki but, there’s a factor that keeping her from regaining her original form.”

“A Key factor you say?”

“Yeah. There’s a reason why, of all ages, is she has taken this form. If it is not an external factor which seems highly unlikely, then it must be an internal factor that contributed to this phenomena.”

“Internal factor such as?”

“Emotions, life traumas, scarred heart, and a lot more. Sorry to say this but, I cannot help further than notifying you of this.”

“That’s still helpful. With it, we can narrow down everything.”

But…mental issues?

I don’t see anything about that in Alstroe?

I look at the girl in question and she just stared back at me with a gentle smile.

Wait…

I turn my gaze to Miss Cecille. All of a sudden, Tzari also took a glance at her with penetrating gaze that tells that he already knows about it.

“Miss Cecille…”

“…I can’t tell you anything beyond what you know.”

“So you do know something.”

“I have investigated everything about Alstroemeria’s background and it’s nothing to say that I am fully aware of the circumstances around this idiot.”

“Then, you are also aware of what’s wrong with Alstroe?”

“I am not certain right now. I don’t want to end my words with just those but I don’t want to assume a lot of things that may get out of hand when the time comes.”

I don’t know what to say.

For someone who dearly cared and love Alstroe, I cannot admonish or even tell my complaints about Miss Cecille not disclosing the information. It must be something bitter for both her and Alstroe that she bits her lip just to stop from saying anything.

I don’t get it.

A question pops into my head.

If Miss Cecille is aware of it, why won’t she take any actions about it?

The answer may lie on the source of all this obviously, however, that answer is far from being reached. Alstroe is always smiling.

She is always smiling.

Only a few occasion where I see her cry. And there’s only one time where I saw her despair…

Another question pops into my head.

What are the things that Alstroe thinks of? While she may be an idiot for her own good, what is she thinking of all the time?
