Who's king?

In the face of Miko’s improves Deus Malum, not even the wild beast Ashur could muster any will to fight.

He could only concede, and hand over all of his emblems like an obedient child.

Miko took them with a smile.

It was then that an announcement rang out.

(Team Primus has received 3 enemy emblems and two King Emblems! As such they’ve received 230 points, making their total 565 points! On the other hand Team Quintus has lost 2 enemy emblems and a King Emblem! As a result they’ve been deducted 120 points and have dropped to second place with 220 points!)

Miko juggled the emblems in his palms before pocketing them.

He then looked up at the sky.

“Alec, could you free us from this field?”

He asked calmly.

Alec didn’t reply and looked at everyone else.

“We might as well.”

Said Momo.

“I doubt there’s anyone willing to fight after experiencing that terrifying aura.”

The triplets nodded in agreement.

“Even Ashur who wish to die in battle, don’t want to go up against that. He can tell that any death from that thing wouldn’t be glorious in any way.”

Said alshura.

“Our team already gave up a long time ago. So let’s just end it early.”

Said Christian.

Alec looked at his sister and Gizmo.

They both nodded and extended their hands.

Terminals appeared in front of them and they quickly got to work.

While they were doing that Arsene stared at Miko, while having his arm around Alesia’s waist.

‘He actually was able to make me nearly shit myself. That is no joke.’

He thought.

‘I came here to warn Nero, Queen Kimiko, and Nova about the group of Tyrants siding with New Era, Hell Dynasty, but I don’t know if I should warn them anymore.’

He thought about it some more.

‘Alright, time for Plan B. Warning them won’t be any good when they have such a monster in their ranks, as such my only choice is to recruit them.’

He smiled.

‘I’m sure that Noah will want a monster like that in Genesis. He might even join Nexus.’

While he thought that, the barrier separating the field from the stands opened up.

The field immediately disappeared and all of the contestants appeared in one place.

The Quartus branch member were all in horrible shaped and none of them were conscious.

However, luckily they were inside their base.

“Quick! Treat the three of them quickly! Their injuries are quite serious!”

Sylvia ordered the servants of the Quartus branch to take away Krul, Yaya, and Maki.

They were the home team, but they were completely annihilated.

Alshura jumped down from the stands and quickly approached the severely injured Hal and Kane.

Kane was the lucky one. He was only electrocuted by Ren’s attack and lost consciousness with only a few serious injuries.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Hal, on the other hand was pretty much on the verge of death after being one shot by Krul.

“Hey, Alesia. If you’re done being lovey dovey, hurry up and help me heal these two.”

Alesia nodded and parted from Arsene. She quickly approached Hal and Kane and began healing them with magic.

“Oi, are you okay?”

Alshura approached Ashur and asked.

He helped him to his feet and heard Ashur mumble something.

“What is it?”

“He was so cool!”

Ashur suddenly shouted.

“He was scary but so cool at the sametime!”

He spoke with excitement.

“Brother, I’ve decided! I’m going to be much stronger and much scarier to reach his level! After I do, then we can fight to the death in a glorious way!”

Alshura sighed when he saw how excited his brother had become.

“And here I was going to try and cheer him up.”

He mumbled to himself.

“Well, whatever. As long as his warrior spirit has been broken, then he still has a place in our army.”

“Good job everyone.”

Alec praised Ren and others when approached them.

“Good job? We barely fought seriously. All the good parts were stolen by everyone else.”

Cait complained.

Kirika approached her and placed her hand on her head.

“Hey, you actually got Ren to score some points. That’s a great accomplishment.”

She smiled at her.

“I know that my little brother can be a handful, but please remain at his side. Okay?”

Cait looked at her and then at Ren who was still trying to pick up Chika.

She smiled a little and then nodded.

“You got fucked up.”

Kouta stood over Rin and said.

“Shut it.”

“Rin, although you lost you put up a memorable fight. It’s just that your generation is filled with monsters.”

Karim approached him and said.

“Hmph. Monsters or not, I’ll catch up to them eventually.”

Rin answered.

“KC, your coolheaded judgements were really helpful to the team.”

Christian approached KC and said.

“Giving you, Roland’s weapons was the correct decision.”

KC didn’t say anything and nodded in acknowledgement.

As for the Primus branch.

*Boom!*

Momo landed on top of Miko and pinned him to the ground.

This naturally caught everyone’s attention.

“What the hell?! Everyone got heartwarming moments and being pinned to the floor?! What kind of discrimination is this?!”

Miko shouted.

“Shut up.”

Momo applied more pressure to her hold.

“Answer me honestly. Do you feel the urge to slaughter everyone here?”

“?!”

Momo’s question made everyone shocked and confused at the sametime.

“Ah, so that’s what this is.”

Miko suddenly looked enlightened.

“I’m not under the effects of Deus Malum. I’m fine.”

He said.

“How can I trust you?”

“How the hell would I know? Ow! Ow! Ow! You’re crushing my arm, you damn sadist!”

“Hm….My lie detector spell didn’t go off.”

Momo twisted Miko’s arm a lot more before standing up.

“Looks like your fine.”

“Screw that! You nearly broke my arm!”

Miko shouted.

“What’s a broken arm? That’s like scraping your knee for you. Man up.”

“I swear, one day I’ll have my revenge!”

Miko said while rubbing his arm.

“Miko, are you okay?”

Sasha approached him and asked with a worried tone.

After witnessing Deus Malum first hand, she realized that Miko was practicing a dangerous technique and couldn’t help but to worry.

“I’m fine. There’s no need to worry.”

Miko replied.

“Give me your arm.”

“I said I’m fine.”

“Just give it here.”

Sasha spoke more firmly.

Miko stretched out his arm and she took it and started to heal it.

“Aunty, you shouldn’t spoil him too much or he’ll get soft.”

Momo mumbled from the side.

“It’s fine if he gets a little soft. I like Miko’s soft side better.”

Momo could retort that.

“Even a demon god has a caring mother, huh?”

Sylvia said as she watched the scene with Miko and Sasha.

(Miko.)

It was then a voice echoed in the Quartus world.

“Sirrush? What is it?”

Miko asked.

(It’s the meeting among the branch leaders, it’s been in a stalemate for a while now. Mother has her hands full trying to keep them under control, but as it is there’s a high chance that conflict could arise.)

Said Sirrush.

“I see. Alright. I’m done here so I’ll be over there soon. Tell Tia that.”

(As you wish.)

Sirrush voiced disappeared shortly after.

“Sigh. They can’t even pick a leader among themselves. They’re no different from the Higher Beings back then.”

He stretched his body.

“Alright. Time to babysit some brats.”

Miko left the Quartus World and headed back to the palace, with those of Momo’s and Sasha’s generation following him, along with Chika and Verde.

“Why are you following me?”

He asked with a slightly irritated tone.

“We’re here to observe.”

Said Alec.

Miko didn’t say anything and just walked towards the hall.

Before he could even enter the room, he could sense the tense atmosphere from within.

He clicked his tongue in irritation and kicked the door wide open.

“Okay, you brats. You’re daddy’s here to make everything better now.”

He said as he strolled in with a cocky walk, under everyone’s eyes.

Tia, who looked exhausted, was happy to see him.

He looked around before walking towards the throne in the middle of the room.

Tia was sitting in this seat.

Without any hesitation at all Miko sat on Tia’s lap and rested his head on her breasts.

This shocked everyone in the room, because they’ve never seen anyone bold enough to touch a goddess’ breast, much less to rest their head on them.

What made it even more surprising was the fact that Tiamat didn’t refuse him in anyway and allowed him to do as he please.

“What? You morons only prepared one chair, so I had no choice but to share it with Tia.”

Miko casually said.

He crossed his legs over each other and made himself comfortable on Tia’s lap.

This bold behavior, could only be called provoking.

It was as if Miko was once again establishing who was King.

He smiled under everyone’s gazes and said-

“Now then. Let’s begin the meeting that will decide your futures.”
