After the battle between Miko and Kristen was brought to an end, Sasha forced the two of them talk it out in a room together.
Of course to make sure that they really came to an understanding and don’t provoke each other she was present.
Not only her, everyone who could help restrain the two were there as well.
They were being watched from every angle of the room, with everyone ready to stop them if necessary.
Rihan watched this all with an amused expression.
“So? Will you two please explain to me what caused the two of you to become so heated?”
Sasha asked while looking at both their expressions.
“Ask your son. He’s the one who attacked me.”
Miko said with a frown.
“Heh. I attacked you because you are a threat to everyone.”
Said Kristen.
“Says the guy who almost killed his sister.”
“I don’t want to hear that from someone who tried to cut through our mother just to get to me.”
The two bickered back and forth.
“This isn’t getting us anywhere.”
Sasha said with a sigh.
She then looked at Kristen.
“Why did you attack your brother? Answer me truthfully.”
“Fine.”
He then looked at Mayumi.
“Mother, do you know what kind of abilities that this woman possess?”
Sasha looked at Mayumi.
“If I remember correctly, she can predict the future.”
“Oh?”
Rihan looked at Mayumi with interest when he heard that.
Mayumi stepped back when she sensed his gaze.
Kristen nodded.
“Then, did you know that she prophesied that Miko will die in the next few years?”
“?!”
Kristen words shocked everyone beside Miko.
Bloom and Mayumi immediately knew that Kristen overheard their conversation.
“Wait! Is that true, Miko?!”
Sasha asked in shock.
Miko didnt say anything and only looked like what they were talking about had nothing to do with him.
“Miko!”
Sasha shouted.
“Calm down will ya? I won’t die because of something like fate. I know what I’m suppose to look out for, so I’ll naturally create countermeasures for it.”
Miko replied.
“More importantly, I now know why you aimed to kill me.”
Miko looked Kristen in the eye.
“You believe that I’m going to kill our mother, don’t you?”
“The prophecy states that you’ll become a monster and lose the one you love the most. You expect me to believe that doesn’t mean killing our mother?”
“Pfft!”
Miko suddenly started laughing.
“What’s so funny?!”
Kristen got angry when he saw that.
“Ah, sorry. It’s just that this thing all started because of a misunderstanding.”
“What?”
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Miko stood up.
“After turning into a monster never before seen, you will lose everything and suffer unimaginable pain. Starting with the one you love the most. That’s the prophecy I received from you right, Mayumi?”
Miko looked at Mayumi with a sharp gaze. He had left out a part of the prophecy, and she immediately knew why.
“That’s right.”
She answered.
“Did it state anything about me killing anyone?”
Miko asked.
“No, it didn’t.”
“See? You just jumped to conclusions. Besides, let’s say that I do kill the one I love the most, that isn’t necessarily Sasha you know?”
“Then who?”
Kristen asked.
“Who else? I’m a Proxy remember?”
“Are you saying that the one you love the most is Tiamat?”
“Bingo. It’s natural for a proxy to love their Parent God over everything else? Right?”
Miko said while looking at Luka.
She nodded.
She knew what Miko was doing and played along.
“What he says is the truth.”
Rihan suddenly said.
“I’ve met countless proxies and they've always put their Parent God over everything else.”
When Kristen heard Rihan’s voice he felt a weird feeling brewing inside him.
“See? This was just a misunderstanding. Sasha is in no danger whatsoever.”
Miko added.
“…..”
Kristen looked at him for a while.
From what he could tell Miko wasn’t lying when he said that Tiamat was the one he loved the most. If that was the case, then there was no immediate need to kill him.
Rihan saw Kristen in deep thought and smiled.
This smile didn’t escape Miko’s eyes.
‘This bastard is using Enchantment on him? Or is his using his speech to implant a subliminal message?’
Miko thought to himself.
‘Well, whatever. As long as it change this brat’s mindset on killing me it doesn’t matter…..Although, I’ll ask Grams to check if Rihan planted any command in his head just to be safe.’
“Kristen, there’s no need to fight but let’s do this. If you believe I’m threatening our mother in any way I’ll give you permission to kill me.”
Sasha wanted to object, but she didn’t after realizing this could put an end to the two’s feud.
“….I’ll take you up on that offer.”
Kristen said after a while.
“Great. Then until that time comes you two should make up. Brothers really shouldn’t fight after all.”
Rihan stood up with an innocent smile on his face he clapped happily.
“Right?”
After Kristen and Miko agreed to squash their feud, Rihan left the room with Aeon and Leon behind him.
“Father, you used Enchanted Speech to manipulate my son right?”
Leon asked.
“You sound upset. It was the quickest way to put an end to this nonsense.”
Rihan replied.
“I find it hard to believe someone who loves mayhem like you played peacemaker without a reason.”
Said Aeon.
“I have my reasons of course. I can’t have the two Beleth candidates kill each other. That would put a damp in my plans. To make the world a fun and dangerous place those two are necessary.”
“I see.”
Said Leon.
“Oh? I thought you would get angry. This is a letdown.”
“What can I say? I know I’m suppose to want to stop you, but I just don’t feel that motivated. Must be my demon self wanting to see blood.”
“Not all demons are evil you know? It’s just your true nature. Might be my influence though.”
Said Rihan.
“Is that so?”
Said Leon.
“So what are you going to do now? Miko definitely realized what you did, he’s not one who can be easily manipulated.”
Said Aeon.
“I can tell. That’s why I have no intention of manipulating him. I’ll leave him be. He’s the type to cause mayhem on his own anyway.”
“And Kristen?”
Leon asked.
“Well, just like his father and brother he’s overflowing with potential. It would be great if he join us in the future. Especially now that he’s a demon.”
Rihan said.
“Speaking about the future….”
He looked at Aeon.
“That Ace boy, is he your trump card against me?”
“I have no idea what you mean.”
Aeon answered without a change in expression.
Rihan didn’t mind and spoke.
“At first I thought that it was just coincidence and you wouldn’t know about us, but when I remember that you’re my son it made sense that you would find out on your own.”
He placed his hand on top of Aeon’s head.
“But sorry to disappoint you, although we took the job I wasn’t the one who eradicated the Gamestar Clan."
Aeon swat his hand off his head.
Rihan didn’t mind and laughed.
“It was a good try though. You couldn’t kill me yourself and tried to create a weapon that could. But I’m sorry to say, that boy isn’t enough to destroy us.”
A teasing smile appeared on his face.
“Just accept it already, you were born to kill me just like how I was born to kill my father. It’s an endless cycle.”
Aeon clicked his tongue in irritation.
That only made Rihan laughed harder.
“Um….Father Rihan.”
Leon hesitantly spoke up.
“Just what are you two talking about?”
“Ah, I guess you wouldn’t know.”
Rihan replied.
“Well, its fine. You are my other son after all.”
A devious smile appeared on his face.
“Say, have you ever heard about the Juggernauts (Trumps)?”
At the edge of the Silver Continent.
Alec Dragna sat on a cliff that overlooked the sea.
He was eating food from a fast food restaurant while having a bottle of champagne beside him.
It was hard to tell if he was trying to be cheap or luxurious.
He hummed a song while watching the sea.
“Oh? They’re here.”
As he said that, he saw giant ripples forming in the ocean.
*Boom!*
That’s when he saw a gigantic sea serpent coming out of the sea.
It released an agonizing screech as it emerge from the water.
Alec could see giant cuts on its body.
He then saw someone shot out of the water and right at the monster.
It was a beautiful woman with hair that matched the color of the sea.
She held a weirdly shaped sword in her hand.
She swung to the right and cut off the monster head.
*Boom!*
The monster’s body crashed into the sea as he died. The woman landed on the body and swung her sword to side to flash off blood on the blade.
She then sheathed the sword with a deadpan expression.
She then started to walk on the water and headed towards where Alec was.
“Brutal as always, Sister.”
Alec said although he was miles away from her.
“Hmph. That monster didn’t know it’s place in the world so I had to remind it.”
Said Kirika.
“It was probably just playing with you guys.”
*Boom!*
The moment Alec said that, something gigantic emerged behind Kirika.
It was metallic and shaped like a dragon. It was so big that it looked like it could easily cover a mountain.
“With our base looking like that it wouldn’t be strange for it to think that it was one of its cousins or something.”
Said Alec as he looked at the gigantic robot dragon.
“Shut it. Are you coming or not?”
Said Kirika.
“Of course. It’s the first time in several millennia since the Tertitus Branch returned to the Silver Continent. I must join the fun.”
