*Boom!*
At one end of the Aloe army, there was something tearing through the soldiers like a shark fin in the ocean.
This was Miko.
“Heavenly Demon King!”
Countless soldiers surrounded him from all corners. Miko smiled and charged in a random direction.
*Boom!*
He jumped and beheaded four people with a kick. He then spun around and thrust out his palm.
*Boom!*
A bright beam shot from his palm and annihilated who were behind him.
“Haaah!”
Three soldiers wielding magic swords attacked him from behind.
Miko spun around and blocked the swords with a chop. The soldiers didn’t let up and started attacking him like wild beasts.
Miko welcomed them, and skillfully deflected their swords with chops of his hand. The swords moved fast, but Miko’s hands were faster. It was like he was swatting away bugs rather than swords.
“Hm?”
*Boom!*
That’s when a soldier burst from underground thrusting his sword underneath Miko’s chin.
“Die!”
The man roared.
Miko backflipped and avoided it.
“Ugh!”
However, the moment his feet touch the ground they were impaled by strange spikes.
“A trap huh?”
Miko commented while looking at his feet.
*Boom!*
It was then the ground burst open and countless soldiers jumped out thrusting their swords at Miko’s vital points.
“Impressive.”
The moment Miko said that, every sword tip was stopped by countless stars surrounding him.
“Haaaaaaa!”
The soldiers roared and focused all of their power into their thrusts.
“That’s the spirit.”
Miko applauded.
The stars protecting him all shattered at once, and the swords continued their attacks.
*Boom!*
A huge explosion suddenly blew away the soldiers, killing lots of them.
“That’s the way, Warriors of Aloe!”
Miko stood in the middle of the scorched land.
“Stand up and fight! Fight until one of us is dead! That’s the fate of those in this fucked up world of bloodshed and despair!”
He stomped the ground and gigantic cracks opened up. Even so the soldiers showed no signs of backing down. In fact, their urge to fight just increased.
“Attack!”
They drew every weapon they had and charged towards Miko.
Miko was soon surrounded by a sea of attacks.
He smiled.
“I was right. War is fun.”
*Boom!*
The attacks quickly devoured him.
Soldiers stabbed at him, fire at him, punched at him, kicked at him, flung at him, they did everything they could to crush the enemy in front of them.
“Hehehe.”
A white light flashed and countless heads flew up in the air. This didn’t cause the soldiers to stop their assault even for a second. They attacked desperately with everything they had, not a single one thinking about running away.
*Boom!*
It was then a kick from Miko cleared a path in the army. He walked forward with several weapons stabbed into his body, and drenched in his own blood.
“So this is what ‘Even an elephant can be taken down by a pack of mad wolves' means.”
He said as he wiped the blood from his face.
“Unfortunately, I’m still nowhere near beaten.”
He looked at the bloodthirsty expressions of everyone around him. He could feel their hate, their desperation, their anger. In their eyes, Miko was a complete monster.
“What’s wrong? Why did you stop attacking?”
He looked at them with bloodshot eyes.
“You gotta try harder than that.”
Elsewhere, there was a different group causing mass destruction.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
They were the Quintus branch.
*Boom!*
Countless soldiers were sent flying after being hit by an axe. Their wounds would ignite moments after getting hit, thus causing them great pain or death.
The one wielding the axe was Ashur. The axe which had a bone handle and continuously gave off a burning light, was given to him by Miko.
“I still can’t seem to get a hang of this thing. I was trying to cut them in half but I wasn’t able to. It’s like it has a mind of its own.”
Ashur said as he looked at the axe.
That’s when he heard a loud sound behind him. When he looked around he saw his brother alshura stopping a soldier from splitting Ashur in two with a surprise attack.
“What did I say about getting distracted during war?”
Al-Shura said.
“Only a fool will let himself get distracted in a fight.”
Ashur answered.
Alshura pushed back the soldier and thrust his spear through his head.
“If you know then don’t let it happen again!”
*Boom!*
The soldier’s upper body burst like it was a balloon. The lower body fell on the ground, and its entrails were spilled everywhere.
Alshura nor Ashur were bothered by the gruesome scene in the least.
“Hal, Kane.”
At Al-Shura’s call Hal and Kane appeared from the midst of battle and stood in front of him.
“Watch over this idiot. Alesia and I will go after the enemy leader.”
He instructed.
Alesia slowly walked up beside him with the spear Miko gave her over her shoulder. On the end were the heads of a couple enemy soldiers. Her face was stained by blood as well. Couple these facts with her cold expression, she looked like a messenger of death sent to collect the corpses of the fallen.
However, there was also a lonely aura surrounding her which made her seem pitiful.
“We’ll be the one to take the head of the enemy and give it to Miko.”
Alshura spoke with conviction.
“I’ll repay him for Alesia, whether he likes it or not.”
Despite being an arrogant and savage person, Al-Shura was someone who repaid his debts, no matter the cost. Once he consider you someone worthy of his respect, he’ll become their spear who that brings them victory, by piercing through the hearts of their enemies.
It’s this reason why Miko was interested in him. Combined with his sister, who was like a spear wielded by a lone warrior, they can become weapons to use and pierce through your enemies.
“Lets go!”
Al-Shura and Alesia flew into the sea of enemies.
They spun their spears between their fingers, and skillfully thrust it forward.
*Boom!*
A twin piercing force, penetrated through the army defense as well as the soldiers hearts.
Al-Shura and Alesia stood back to back, and tightly gripped their spears. They then kicked off the ground and charged forward. It was as if they had become one with their spears. They pierce through the army with incredibly force.
Body parts flew about and screams resounded.
The two were in sync. They turned into two comets piercing through the crowds, intertwining with each other, while destroying everything in their path. Sometimes even moving in zig-zag motions and passing each other. Slowing advancing to the middle of the army.
“Hm?”
That’s when Al-Shura noticed that the army was slowly making way for them. He looked ahead and saw at least a dozen armored vehicles with their cannons locked on them.
“Nemean Armored Vehicles? This country is richer than I thought.”
Said Al-Shura.
He stopped and looked at the weapons in the distance.
“Al-Shura.”
He looked beside him and saw that Alesia had done the same.
“I want to repay Miko for granting me my freedom again.”
That was all she said, as she stared at the enemies ahead.
“I feel the same way.”
Alshura clenched his spear.
“Alesia, it’s time to show them why the Quintus branch will always be #1.”
Alesia nodded.
The red cravings on their spears started glowing. Something amazing happened next.
The red cravings started to spread from the spears and engraved themselves on their bodies. Their golden eyes started shining a vicious light.
It was then that the image of a rampaging dragon appeared behind Al-Shura. At the same time the image of a rattlesnake appeared behind Alesia.
“Go!”
With Al-Shura’s signal, they both charged forward at the same time.
“Kill them!”
*BOOM!*
The vehicles started firing at them.
Facing the attacks, the actions that the two took were different.
“Insolent!”
Al-Shura met the attacks head on with his spear. He pierced through them completely discarding the damage to himself.
*BOOM!*
He ripped through the blast while his skin burst open and his blood sprayed everywhere.
*Roar!*
He released a terrifying roar from the pits of his stomach and forced his way through the blasts.
“Wha?!”
He appeared in front of the soldiers with his entire figure covered in blood.
“Heh.”
With a bloody smile he thrust his spear into cannon of one of the vehicles.
*BOOM!*
The vehicle exploded and blew away alshura and the soldiers.
As for Alesia, what she did was less savage.
Instead of facing the blasts head on, she ran on top of them, moved around them in a spiral fashion, leaving afterimages behind her. She quickly reached the soldiers and thrust her spear forward.
With the afterimages forming a trail, if one looked at her movements from the side, the entire thing formed a snake with her spear being the fangs.
*BOOM!*
She pierced through the tank like it was paper, along with the soldiers inside.
Next to her, alshura was attacking the other vehicles with savage and swift strikes. He chipped away at the armors and then filled those inside with holes in an instant.
His movements were the definition of savagery. While Alesia’s movements were swift and accurate, completely isolating her enemies from herself with death.
The two demonstrated the origins of their alias.
Alshura’s bloodied and savage way of fighting gave him the name The Rampaging Dragon of the Bloodied Path.
While Alesia’s swift, flexible, and lonely way of fighting gave her the name The Rattlesnake Of the Desolate Path.
Two opposites that work perfectly together.
At that moment, a soldier appeared out of nowhere stabbing towards the back of Al-Shura’s head.
“Guh?!”
The soldier’s heart was pierced by a spear before he could even attack. The one who threw this spear was no other than Alesia.
“The soldiers this deep into the army are stronger than us without our spears. A single attack from them can kill us.”
Alesia said.
The moment she said that, she ducked under a slash from a soldier and then rolled out of the way.
“They’re targeting you more, so borrow my spear.”
She said as he flipped and avoid two attacks from behind.
“Thanks.”
Alshura pulled the spear from the corpse as he said so.
“You’re slippery when you go out all to defend, but just to be safe I’ll borrow them for only 5 minutes.”
“Do as you want.”
Alesia bent her back and avoid a gunshot.
Al-Shura grinned at the soldiers who were surrounding. He spun both spears between his fingers and then took a fighting stance.
“Bring it!”
As if provoked, the soldiers all attacked alshura at the sametime. Alshura stood his ground and then his fight began.
He thrust one spear into a soldier and used the other one to block an attack. He pulled out the spear and with a twirl thrust the spear through the hearts of three soldiers, who were lined up behind each other.
A soldier who was attacking him from behind was pierced through his head by one of the spears.
Alshura spun in a circle and beheaded the soldiers around him.
He then blocked two separate attacks using both spears, and kicked a soldier back before stabbing him through the throat.
He then spun the spears around and stabbed the soldiers behind him. He then lifted the spear up and cut the soldiers corpse in two.
“Tsk.”
He suddenly looked annoyed and clicked his tongue.
He threw one of the spears and it stabbed through the eye of a soldier who was attacking Alesia.
Alesia jumped on the end of the spear and the force caused the soldier's head to be split open.
She flipped, landed on the ground and caught the spear in her hand.
“You didn’t even last three minutes.”
Alshura complained as he filled a soldier with countless holes.
“You were the one who misjudged the enemies strength and chose an impossible time.”
Alesia retorted.
“They decided to kill me first since I was an unarmed.”
She twisted around and stabbed a man behind her.
“Well, we should’ve expected that.”
Al-Shura spun his spear above his head, before splitting open some soldiers heads.
A couple soldiers attacked Alesia from the front and back, she performed a split and brutally stabbed these soldiers in the crotch.
She then quickly got to her feet and jumped into the air. Midair, she thrust her spear countless times with blinding speed.
Heads started bursting like balloons as her spear slaughtered those around her. When her feet touched the ground, so did the bodies of her enemies.
“Reaching the enemy leader is gonna be harder than we expected.”
