After receiving their instant wardrobe bracelets, Miko left the fitting room with sapphire and the girls.
“Are you interested in your classmates?
Sapphire asked.
“Couldn't care less.”
Said Miko.
“Wait, are there any Rulers in my class?”
Sapphire shook her head.
“The highest ranked person in your class is at the 39th rank.”
“Then I stand by my previous statement.”
Miko said with an indifferent tone.
They soon left the Staff Building and headed towards the opposite direction.
“Over there are the dormitories. Your room was prepared for you weeks ago, so you only need to move in.”
She then looked at Ishma and Regis.
“If you two want I could have them prepare some rooms for you?”
“No, thanks. It's better we stay near Miko at all times.”
Regis answered.
“I want my own room!”
Ishma had a different opinion than her’s.
“No.”
Miko immediately shot her down.
“Why?!”
“Because you need to stay near me at all times just like Regis said. Besides if I left you alone, it could lead to a massacre in the dorms.”
Since Ishma came from a different time, her common sense and sense of values were different.
Add that to her hothead personality, letting her live alone would only result in a disaster.
Ishma argued but Miko ignored her and didn't even glance at her while they walked.
After a while, Miko saw a huge building come in to view.
“That is the classroom building for the first years.”
Sapphire explained.
“First years? Just how many years are there?”
“A total of five. First years are 15, and sometimes younger like in your case. The fifth years are in their 20s. This school has an automatic ladder system. No matter how bad your grades or rank you will move up a grade every year.”
Those that apply after passing the age 15, will need to take a special exam to determine if they could keep up with those their age before they are accepted.
“So there are some weaklings in the higher grades.”
Miko mumbled to himself.
“So does this school believe in expulsion? Or no matter what you do you won't need to fear punishment from the academy or MTYH?”
“It's the latter.”
Sapphire answered.
“Here the strong decides everything. And by strong we don't mean those behind you. We mean your personal strength.”
Sapphire said solemnly.
“That's why the top 20 are called Rulers. They rule the academy with their own strength. They make the rules and it's tradition that they come pick a fight with new students to cut them down to size and show them that there are people above them.”
“Oh? Then are you telling me to be careful?”
She nodded.
Miko showed her a gentle smile and said-
“If the time comes and some idiot attacks me, I hope you'll protect me.”
“Who are you kidding?”
Sapphire immediately replied.
“You need protection? Don't make me laugh. Just don't kill the students and the academy will be grateful.”
“Well that depends on the students, not me.”
Miko said said with a laugh.
However, he wasn't joking.
If someone acts arrogantly towards him, he won't pay them any attention and ignore them. However, if there arrogance lead them to unjustly pick a fight, then it's a death match.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived in front of the building that had “First Years” written on it.
This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
“It's pretty huge for just the first years.”
Said Miko.
“How many students are there?”
“I think there's around 500 first years every year. As for the total number of students from all years, I don't know. I think it's around 2000, I doubt it pass that figure.”
Sapphire didn't work for the school so she didn't know or care what the total number of students were.
“Just 2000. That means that a lot of people drop out every year.”
If everyone had stayed from their first year, there would at least be 2500 students every year. But it was 500 less.
This meant that an average of 100 students drop out every year.
“There's a lots of injuries and deaths at the academy annual. This causes the total number of students to drop.”
She then looked like she remembered something.
“There was a time when there was only a little over 1500 in total one year. With the first years making up one-third of that figure. Surprisingly no one drop out, everyone just died in either disputes, or the ranking tournaments. This include more than half of the Rulers.”
“A thousand deaths in 5 years? I've killed far more than that, but that's pretty insane for a school.”
“The fact that you can admit that you killed more than a thousand people is what's insane.”
Sapphire said with a sigh.
“I heard the reason for the high number of deaths, was because the academy at that time had seen an unusual amount of heaven-defying geniuses. It was the generation that was the most talented but also the most bloodiest”
The strong doesn't always devour the weak, there are times when they are forced to devour the strong as well.
In others words, if you group a bunch of geniuses together there's a high chance that they'll devour each other. This especially true in a competitive environment like this.
“I believe they called it the Cannibal Generation. This is because of the genius devoured each other to raise to the top.”
Said Sapphire.
“Sound like an interesting generation.”
Miko said with a smirk.
When Sapphire saw that she could help but to wonder if a second coming of the Cannibal Generation is about to begin.
If she thought about the current students of this generation it was possible. Even if she removed Kaido and Bloom.
“I'm so glad this was only a side job and I don't work here.”
She mumbled to herself.
They entered the building and headed to the third floor. They stopped in front of a room that said 1-C on it.
“There's 50 students in each class, with a total of 10 class. The letters don't represent the rank of the class’s power, so don't assume that you were placed in a weak class. It was chosen at random.”
Said Sapphire.
“It wouldn't really matter if I was placed in a weak class or strong class, since I know what to do already.”
Miko said as he looked at her with a bit of a mischievous gaze.
“Just don't cause too much trouble.”
She opened the door as she said that.
The first thing Miko saw was a rough looking male sitting behind a desk. He seemed to be the teacher.
Miko quickly checked his [Class].
“[Oh, [SS Class]. Not as strong as Momo but I guess it's decent.”
Miko mumbled.
He was taking this as reference for his academies that should be under construction, back at the kingdom.
The teacher looked at him with surprise, and a bit of suspicions; that's until he spotted Sapphire.
“I'm sorry for disturbing your class, Instructor. I've brought the new student.”
Said Sapphire.
She then pushed Miko inside like he was some kind of delinquent.
When Miko scanned his over the students as he stepped in.
He was surprised to find out that it wasn't as bad as he expected.
The students were relatively strong for their age.
“New student?”
The teacher looked at Miko again.
“You mean he's the one that should've been here weeks ago?”
Sapphire awkwardly nodded.
“Its way past noon. Why is he just arriving?”
“Well….”
“We overslept.”
Before Sapphire could come up with an excuse, Ishma blurted such a thing out without any remorse.
The class started laughing, and teacher’s face turned red with anger.
Meanwhile Miko looked unbothered.
“And who are these girls?”
He asked while looking at Regis and Ishma.
“Soul mate.”
“Partner.”
Regis and Ishma said respectively.
This caused the teacher to become even angrier.
“They're his swords.”
Said Sapphire.
“Swords? Ah, I did heard that the new student was a proxy. It makes sense now.”
The teacher said with a understanding tone.
‘Heard? Was my identity not announced beforehand?’
Miko thought to himself. He started to wonder if Kaido had lied to him.
As if figuring out what he was thinking, Sapphire smiled at him a bit playfully.
“Well, I'll overlook your tardiness this once. Come and introduce yourself to the class.”
“Ahhh~.
Miko sighed exaggeratedly when he heard what the teacher said.
“I always hated this part in school. Why do I need to introduce myself? You'll just find out eventually.”
He mumbled.
For some reason his motivation plummeted, and his eyes looked like a dead fish.
He had reverted back to how he was when he went to school in his past life.
A walking corpse without any form of motivation.
(I know a lot of people hate school, but this is on another level.)
Said Tiamat.
Miko walked up to the whiteboard, which was actually a screen, and wrote something with the electronic marker.
“GD3”
That was what he wrote.
“…….”
He then silently pointed at it and then at himself.
Miko then put down the marker and turned to leave.
“Wait a damn minute!”
The teacher suddenly flew into a fit of rage and roared at Miko.
“What the hell was that?!”
“My introduction.”
“How was that an introduction?! You just wrote some code on the board and pointed at yourself!”
“That wasn't a code.”
Miko sighed and got even more unmotivated.
At this point, he barely had the motivation to even respond to the teacher.
“That's my initials.”
He pointed to himself.
“My name is Gamiko Dragna the Third.”
“?!”
The teacher was shocked to hear that.
Not only the teacher, but the entire class.
Never mind the fact that Miko was famous for his extravagant blood linage, he was also the king of a fast raising kingdom.
At Grim Legacy information was vital. Especially information on the outside world.
There were a lot of people who always makes sure that they have the latest info on anything that affected the continent in anyway.
Miko who drew a lot of attention from his few months as king as well as being the proxy of the eldest Higher being, naturally was known or at least heard of by a lot of people.
His classmates were no exception.
“What are you doing here?”
The teacher asked.
“I asked myself that every time I go to school.”
Miko said with a sigh.
“I came to kick everyone's asses. What else would I be here for?”
Miko's casual answered angered his classmates.
“Screw you!”
“Who do you think you are, you little brat?!”
“Want me to fix that arrogant attitude of yours!”
Several students shouted in anger.
“Heavenly Demon King, Miko!”
At this moment a wild looking youth stepped out and confronted Miko.
“Who are you?”
Miko asked lazily.
“I'm 39th rank student, Vincent Byers! I'm the top dog in this class!”
“It's pretty sad when you have to say that yourself you know.”
“Shut up!”
Miko's nonchalant attitude towards him, pissed of Vincent.
To be the 39th rank even though he was a first year, Vincent had all right to be arrogant. But in front of Miko, it wasn't worth mentioning.
“So you're the top dog?”
At this point, ishma step forward.
“That's right, lil girl.”
Vincent said arrogantly.
“Then that's perfect!”
Ishma suddenly popped up in front of Vincent.
*Bam!*
She immediately uppercut and sent him upwards.
Vincent head to his shoulders were lodged into the ceiling, which made him dangle like a chandelier.
Ishma looked at the rest of the stunned class with a cocky smirk.
“From now on, we're top dogs. Anyone got a problem with that?!”
