Because of Robin’s attack, there was a giant crater in the middle of the area. There was still residue of yellow magic floating around.
Leon and Robin glared at each from opposite sides of the crater.
Robin's body had a yellow glow like he was the sun.
“I didn't expect for you to be able to use raw mana to attack.”
“It's something I only use when I really have to. I didn't expect for you to survive it though. As expected of someone hailed as a rare talent.”
There were several ways to use mana. One way was to convert it and create phenomenons. Examples of these phenomenons are casting spells, modifying and strengthen your body, and creating magical based attacks.
Another way to use mana is to gather it and use it in its raw form. When used like this, your fire power will increase explosively. This is because the mana didn't go through conversion, so it didn't lose its original fire power.
To make it easier to understand, let's use alcohol as a substitute. There are several types of alcohol, there's the one we consume, Ethyl Alcohol and one used for industrial and medical purposes, Isopropyl Alcohol. Their uses and how they are created are different, but they're still considered a form of the same entity. The difference is one slowly harms the body when consumed moderately, while the other can immediately destroys the body when consumed, period.
Raw Mana was like Isopropyl Alcohol, while converted mana was like Ethyl Alcohol.
Just like how it's dangerous to consume Isopropyl Alcohol, it's equally if not even more dangerous to use mana without converting it. It also takes a lot of skill and talent, so Raw Mana users were rare.
‘This is going to be a tougher fight than I imagined. I still can't use the Royal Corps Battle Arts to its full potential. If he strengthen himself with Raw Mana, than I'll be at a disadvantage….Should I use that?’
“What's wrong? You're just standing there spacing out. Did seeing me use Raw Mana shock you that much?”
Robin said, interrupting Leon's thoughts.
“Yeah, it did. But I'm pretty sure you can't use it for long.”
Leon smiled and pointed Robin's arm.
“Look. You're trembling like a wet puppy. It's obvious that the Raw Mana is destroying your body as we speak.”
Robin gripped his arm to stop its trembling.
“Its true that my insides are a mess right now, but I still can kill you before they turn to mush.”
Robin jump over the crater and threw a punch while still far away from Leon.
A yellow light then shot towards Leon like a bullet.
Leon hurriedly leaped back.
*Boom!*
The spot he just stood at was destroyed the moment the light hit it.
“Woah. I can't afford to get hit by that.”
“Then you better give it your all!”
Robin aimed his palm at Leon and fired a beam from it.
Leon jumped and dodged it.
Robin then threw multiple kicks from a distance. Dozens of arcs of Raw Mana shot towards Leon.
He leaped back and twisted his body to dodge them.
It was at this moment, Robin kicked off the ground and cut the distance between them.
“Crap!”
Robin punch the unexpected Leon in his chest.
*Boom!*
“Guh?!”
A blast sent Leon flying, and caused his a few of ribs to break.
He tried to flipped himself in the air to reduced his body momentum, but before he could land Robin thrust his palm and hit him with another shockwave.
His body twist unnaturally and he bounce off the ground like a ball.
While bouncing he saw Robin took a leap, in order to stomp him into the ground.
Leon immediately punch the ground with all his strength, and used the recoil to blow himself to his feet.
He then jumped and kick Robin in the chest, before he touched the ground.
*Crack*
Leon heard Robin's ribs shatter, before he was blown away.
“[Wolf Thunder]!”
Lightning shot out from Leon's body and took the form a wolf, and chased Robin.
The moment Robin hit the ground, the lightning wolf pounced him and bit him on the neck.
“Guahhh?!”
Electric current entered Robin's body through the wound, and attacked his organs.
“Damn wolf!”
Robin body glowed brighter as he gripped the wolf’s neck and ripped its head off.
The wolf immediately disappeared.
He then jump to his feet, but was greeted by Leon swinging a giant hammer made of earth.
“Crap!”
He crossed his arms in front of him, gathered more Raw Mana, and braced himself for impact.
*Boom!*
The earth hammer shatter on Robin's body. He had used Raw Mana to make an armor.
“That hurt, you bastard!”
He punched Leon in the jaw and broke it.
Leon fell to the ground and quickly tried to get up, but was kicked under the chin by Robin.
Robin then grabbed him by the hair and slammed his face into the ground.
He lifted his foot to squash his head, but Leon quickly sprung to his feet and headbutt him.
Robin stepped back a bit, but Leon grabbed him by the shoulders and kneed him in the face.
He then grabbed his head and kneed him again.
Robin swung his hand and punched Leon on the side of his head.
Leon’s brain rattled and he lost his balance.
Just as he was tumbling over, Robin slammed his palm in his stomach.
“Die already!”
Leon vomited blood as was blown backwards.
His body hit the ground and rolled until it hit a large rock.
Robin fell his knees and glared at Leon. His body wasn't any better off, because of the side effects of using Raw Mana.
Leon laid on the ground and felt immense pain from every part of his body.
‘….Looks like I have no other choice.’
He forced himself to stand. His bloody body returned to its original size, after canceling the Royal Corps Battle Arts.
He calmed his mind, closed his eyes, and pictured himself fusing with a crimson devil.
Robin struggled to his feet and stared at Leon.
His body started emitting a ferocious crimson aura, which made his crimson hair moved like it was alive. Tribal-looking marks then started appearing on his skin.
It appeared on his face first, and then spread down his neck, over his chest, and across his arms. It didn't take long before his entire body was covered in tribal marks, that were glowing crimson.
“….That's not [War Face]. What is that?”
Robin couldn’t help but ask in wonder. He's seen Saevio members use [War Face] dozens of times, but he's never seen it stretch to the whole body before.
“…..”
When Leon reopened his eyes, Robin felt like he was being stared at by a beast rather than human.
Leon suddenly held up 5 fingers.
Before Robin could figure what they were supposed to mean, Leon popped up in front him and punch him in the chest.
*Boom!*
Every single bone in Robin's body broke after that one punch.
Leon then grabbed his arm and threw him several dozen meters in the air.
When Robin's eyes adjusted from moving at a incredibly fast speed, he saw Leon in front of him with crimson wings.
The wings turned in dozens of hands and immediately started pounding Robin all over his body.
They then quickly turned back into wings.
Leon then front flipped and slammed his heel into Robin's head.
He plummet to the earth like a meteorite.
*Boom!*
Robin's body destroyed the ground and a small created a creator.
Leon landed beside him, and deactivated his technique.
The aura and marking immediately disappeared. Not only that, Leon formerly battered body looked somewhat healed.
He looked down on Robin, who couldn't even move a muscle.
“I can't maintain this power with my body like this, so I'll defeat you in five seconds; is what I meant earlier when I showed you five fingers. My jaw was still broken, so I couldn't say it.”
Five seconds. It actually took five seconds for Leon to defeated Robin in his demon form.
*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*
At this time.
Aya was desperately moving through the air to evade Sora's attacks.
“[Black Hymn].”
A loud sound suddenly came from Sora's ghoul-like body, and spread through the area.
Cracks spread through the ground and caused it explode. The trees popped like balloons and air trembled.
“Guah?!”
A intense pain then swept through Aya’s body. Her bones rattled and blood leaked from her mouth, nose, eyes, and ears.
The pain robbed her of her concentration, and she fell to the ground. She used all of her strength just not to fall to her knees.
After a few more seconds of suffering, Aya realized that the dreaded sound had disappeared.
She glared at Sora, who had yet to move from his spot since he activated [Requiem De Orpheus].
Aya who was dominating their fight earlier, was now at Sora's mercy.
“Why haven't you killed me yet? You had a lot of chances. Are you pitying me?”
Aya said with her anger in her voice.
“Unfortunately, I'm not the type to show pity to my enemies. I'm just using you as a test dummy.”
“A test dummy?”
“That's right. [Requiem De Orpheus] is still a relatively new technique. So this is first time I'm using in an actually fight. I want to test it out on you, and see if there's anything needing fixing.”
After the desperate fight with Darius, Miko wanted to create a technique that allowed him to pick fight with persons stronger than him. When Sora heard that he had a thought.
“This guy is going to get us all killed one day, if I don't do something.”
Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
So he also decided to create a technique that allowed him to fight stronger opponents.
However, Sora only knew [Sound Magic], plus he wasn't even close to mastering it. So Sora decided to add another form of magic to his arsenal.
[Dark Magic].
The reason he chose to learn [Dark Magic] was because he believed it was compatible with his [Sound Magic].
After learning the basics from a magic book on [Dark Magic], Sora had an idea to fuse it with his [Sound Magic].
However, he didn't want to just fuse them; he wanted to created an original technique that only he can use.
Magic greatly influences one’s body and mind. Recalling this, Sora decided to create a technique that transformed him into a different being.
He liked the sad tale of Orpheus, so he used it as reference, and made himself into the personification of a mourning musician, as a tribute to Orpheus.
Even though it wasn't as powerful as the technique Miko created, it was successful.
“What makes you think I'll be you're test dummy?”
Sora laughed when he heard Aya's question. He smiled and said-
“In your own words, ‘That's not your choice’.”
A black instrument suddenly appeared in Sora's hand. It looked like a small U-shaped harp with strings fixed to a crossbow.
It was a lyre.
“[Mourner’s Song].”
Sora moved his fingers across the lyre and began to play it.
Aya watched as jet black figures started emerging from the darkness, and stand beside Sora while shedding tears.
Sora continued the play the lyre, and the black figure rushed towards Aya.
“[Tempest]!”
Seeing them rushing towards her, Aya attacked with a storm.
The winds ripped the figures to shreds, but more immediately rushed out.
“[Serpent Twist]!”
A giant wind snake devoured, and destroyed them. But more kept coming. Just as she was going to attack them again-
“[Grim Medley].”
A depressing sound like a thousands souls crying from the depths of hell, mixed with music from the lyre and spread throughout the surroundings.
“W-What the?”
Aya suddenly felt weak and unmotivated. She became extremely depressed; tears even fell from her eyes.
Music influences our emotions. This is something that is well known. Right now Aya was experiencing the effects of listening to a sad song, multiplied by a thousand.
The dark figures attacked the defenseless Aya, and beat her all about until Sora stopped playing the lyre.
The figures disappeared and the sad medley came to an end. The lyre then disappeared from Sora's hands.
Aya got back to her feet and no longer felt depressed. But she sure took a beating.
“T-That's it! If I can't win with normal means then I'll just put my life in this final attack!”
With that shout, a twister many times larger than anything she's summoned before, formed around Aya.
It was so big that a normal tornado paled in comparison.
It swept up everything in the surroundings, and looked like it was a pillar that connected the heavens and earth.
“This is [Heaven Piercer]! You need to be at least [A Class] to use it; if a [B Class] uses it, it will devour their life and kill them! Is she planning to exchange her life for mines?!”
Sora immediately realized what Aya was doing, and was greatly shocked. He didn't expect her to be this desperate to win. No, she probably didn't want Sora to meet up with Miko and help him kill Luka.
In order for that not to happen, she chose her own death.
“Screw that! If you want to die do it alone! I have no intention to die a cherry boy!”
Sora clasped his hands together.
“[Death Orchestra]!”
Dozens of giant black instruments suddenly appeared behind Sora, set up like an orchestra.
“Trumpets!”
Responding to Sora's call, several trumpets appeared in front of him.
“Play for me!”
The trumpets released a deafening blast of sound, as if they were being played by invisible Giants.
The blast of sound hit the twister and destroyed several parts of it.
“Tch. Still not enough. Then how about this! Tuba!”
The trumpets retreated back, and a giant tuba took their place.
“Play for me!”
An even more deafening blast of sound shot from the tuba, and immediately blew away the gigantic twister.
“Wha?!”
Aya was greatly surprised when her suicide attack was suddenly destroyed.
“Don't get people wrapped up in your stupid loyalty! Harp!”
A black harp appeared and the tuba retreated.
“Calm that fanatic down!”
The strings on the harp started moving by themselves.
Aya’s body suddenly stiffen and fell over. She lost consciousness the moment she hit the ground.
Seeing that, Sora sighed and deactivated [Requiem De Orpheus].
His skin, eyes, and hair immediately lit up. The gloomy aura also disappeared, and the black tears stopped flowing.
He then walked over to the knocked out Aya and spoke with resignation.
“The test was going great until you went crazy on me. Well, I might’ve pushed you into a corner too much. You're lucky I don't believe in killing women.”
He then feel on his butt. All the injuries he had were affecting again.
“Ah~. I still had more techniques to try out too. Well, whatever. I can try them on Gamiko later.”
He then laid on his back and looked at the sky.
“I wonder how Ace is doing with his hood girl? Well, I doubt he'll lose. He has his [Swordsman] and [Sharpshooter] characters, after all.”
At this time Ace was engaged in a heated clash of blades with Ana.
*Clank!*
Ace block a slash directed at his neck with back of his sword.
He pushed back Ana's glaive and step forward with a slash.
Ana used the glaive long handle to block it.
Ace stepped back and rushed forward with a slash directed at her side. Ana block it again.
The runes on the glaive started glowing and showed signs of electricity. Seeing that, Ace stepped leaped back.
“[Lightning Formation]!”
Ana swung down her glaive and an arc of lightning ripped the earth and attacked Ace.
Ace quickly sheathed his sword and lowered his center of gravity, while keeping his hand on the sword handle.
“[Special Move: Quick Draw Thrust]!”
Ace drew the sword with a blinding speed, and thrust the sword with a step forward.
A silver light shot out like a bullet and collided with the lightning arc. It pierced through it and rushed towards Ana.
She desperately jumped to the side and dodged it.
Before her feet touched the ground Ace popped up in front of her.
“[Special Move: 100 Slashes]!”
Ana quickly brought the glaive in front of her.
Not even a second later, countless hard to see slashes rained down on her.
“Ughh!”
They had a strong force behind them, so it was impossible to block them all.
She was cut dozens of times causing her blood to gush out in the air.
When the slashes stopped, she leaped back.
“Change forms!”
The glaive responded and changed into two handguns with runic markings on them.
“Die!”
Ana squeezed the triggers and countless bullets made of fire, earth, light, lightning, and ice rushed towards Ace.
“[Equip: Dual Swords]!”
Ace quickly drew the short sword on his waist, and closed his eyes.
“[Special Move: Mind’s Eye]!”
Ace immediately could see the trajectory of the bullets, and what action to take to survive the onslaught of bullets.
He rushed towards the bullets with a sword in both hands.
“[Special Move Dual Wielding:…]
The image of a blood-drenched swordsman wielding two swords while shouting, appeared behind Ace.
“[Warrior’s Last Stand]!”
Ace started swinging his sword like a mad swordsman surrounded by enemies.
He began cutting through the storm of bullets while roaring.
Every time he swung his sword, it would precisely cut a few bullets. He continued to cut the bullets while charging forward.
No bullet was able to hit him. He cut down everything in his path with a savage expression.
He was like a bullet train speeding through a storm.
It wasn't long before he reached Ana.
“Haaaa!”
Seeing the berserking Ace swinging his sword towards her scared her so much she screamed on reflex.
She prepared herself for death, but the blade stopped right in front of her face.
Seeing how close she was from having her face split in two, Ana fell on her bottom and immediately lost all her will to fight.
Realizing that, Ace slowly sheathed the short sword and made the other sword disappear.
“[Boost Cancel].”
Ace then returned back to how he was before the fight.
His [Class] also returned to [C Class].
It was only then that Ana calmed down.
“…You're not going to kill me?”
She asked quietly.
“Hmm…I don't think I should.”
Ace turned from Ana looked up in the air, and spoke.
“I'm not suppose to kill her right, Hina?”
He spoke to Hina who flying above him, with the bloody Saika under her arm.
Hina landed beside Ace, and threw Saika in front of Ana.
When Ana saw the bloody Saika she rushed to him. She finally calmed down when she saw that he was alive. She then started healing him with magic.
“It's just as you said, I don’t think we're suppose to kill them. Mikky might have plans for them. So it would be best not kill them. Well, at least not yet.”
Said Hina.
“I thought so....Hm?”
Ace noticed that something was different about Hina, but he couldn't tell what it was.
After her fight with Saika, Hina realized that she had to meet up with her friends. However, she was afraid to meet them the way she was, and was starting to worry if she'll disgust them.
As if responding to her worries, her body returned to how it was on its own. This made Hina extremely happy.
Ace looked at Saika and noticed that he wasn’t human. He couldn't help but ask Hina a question.
“How did you beat a Beastman? Aren't you weak at hand to hand combat?”
“A-Ah, some stuff happened, and I somehow ended up winning.”
“…..I see.”
Ace knew that she was hiding something, but didn't press the issue because she must've had her reasons. It was a mature decision for a 14 year old.
“Ah.”
He remembered something and turned back Ana.
“You wanted to know about the magic I'm using right? As a reward for helping me test my [Characters] I'll explain it to you.”
“Is that okay? She might figure out a weakness if you explain it, you know.”
Said Hina with a frown.
“That's fine. Then I'll just turn my weakness into strengths if that happens. Besides the more difficult the game, the sweeter the feeling when you clear it.”
He said with a daring smile.
This was the downfall of [Gamer’s Mind] state. Nothing matters to the user more than than how exciting the “game” was. So they'd sometimes purposely put themselves in a disadvantageous situation just for the excitement of beating a hard level. Hina knew that he would still tell her even if she tried to stop him, so she gave up. Only thing she could do was to help him out if he gets into trouble, which she should be able to do with her new power.
“Sigh. Then do as you like. But talk while we head towards Mikky.”
Ana frown when she heard that, but considering that Ace and Hina could kill her at anytime, and the fact that she also needed to heal Saika, she quietly lifted Saika off the ground and followed them.
Ace nodded and face Ana again.
“First of all, I'm using a technique called [Boost Player]. It's a technique that turns me into a real life game character. But that's just the simple explanation. It's far more complex than that.”
Ace then pointed to his head.
“Since you're an elf you must've already realized that my magic is mostly focused at my head, instead of being spread all throughout my body, right?”
Ana nodded.
“That's because my brain has been remodeled by [Boost Player].”
“Your brain was remodeled?”
“That's right. My brain is more like a machine than an organ. Meaning that the way it's divided is completely different from an ordinary person’s. Because of this the way I use magic is different from everyone else. The restrictions I suffer is also different from everyone else.”
“Your restrictions are different?”
Ace made a complicated smile before speaking.
“I can't use my full power as I please. I can only use certain abilities when I transform into certain [Characters]. For example, I can only wield various magics using my [Magician Character]. That's because the part of my brain that handles the comprehension of magic, is isolated from the rest of my brain. It's the same for the other [Characters]. Their specialities are isolated from each other.”
“If that's true, then doesn't that mean that you're restraining our own potential?”
“That's right.”
There's another reason why most people don't try to learn [Boost Player], it's too restrictive.
First of all, the user can't use his own abilities as he please. If he wants to use an ability, they have to transform in a [Character] that uses that ability.
Your senses, your physical abilities, your magical abilities, even your mental abilities; all of them are isolated from each other, and also have to be trained separately.
In other words, [Boost Player] users improve at slower rate than everyone else. This can be seen as wasting your potential.
“Why would you want to learn that?”
“You're really asking me that, after you lost to me.”
Ace’s words caused Ana to frown. Ace laughed when he saw that.
“It's true that my growth seems slower than everyone else, and I definitely have to work twice as hard as everyone else. But that's only on the surface.”
“What do you mean?”
“It's an undeniable fact that I have to train everything separately; but what do you think would happen if all the abilities that I work so hard to train separately, suddenly come together?”
Ana remembered when Ace suddenly jump [Classes].
“It's just like your thinking. I'll have an explosive power up. Well I can't really call it a power up, since it's just my true power that was forcibly restricted being released.”
Ana began to understand why she lost.
“On the surface I'm just wasting my talent, but in reality my ability is a big cheat. I have to work twice as hard as everyone else, but I also receive greater rewards than everyone else. Twice the work, four times the results, is an other way to put it. The only downfall is that the requirements for me to advance a [Class] are stricter than that for everyone else.”
“The requirements are stricter?”
“Ah, I don't really understand that part that well myself. Hina can you explain it to her?”
“….Fine.”
Hina frowned for a bit before speaking.
“The [Class System] categorize people base on five traits: Physical Ability, Mental Ability, Magic Ability, Martial Ability, and Will Power. In order to advance a [Class] one have to reach the required level for at least three of these five traits. Because of this, you’ll see several different type of people in the same [Class]. For example, you can have someone whose [A Class] with the Mental Ability and Will Power of a [C Class]. That's because their Physical, Magic, and Martial Abilities are all [A Class] level. In other words, a weak willed and stupid [A Class] whose only good for smashing things. Or a [C Class] with the physical strength and martial abilities of a [B Class], but everything else is [C Class]. This person should be able to defeat persons a [Class] higher than him, in certain situations.
In the world there are several forms of strength, the [Class System] recognizes this and places people in the [Class] they deserve.
“But for this idiot, it's different. Because of his technique it's hard for the [Class System] to judge him correctly, so as punishment he needs to improve all five traits to advance a [Class]. Even though his true strength should rightfully place him a [Class] higher.”
Over an year ago when they fought Darius, Ace’s true strength was on the border of [C Class]. It was only until recently his strength reached [B Class]. But he'll be seen as a [C Class] until all five of his traits reach [B Class] level. However, having his opponents misread his strength is advantageous to Ace.
“If that's true, then why did his [Class] jump earlier?”
“Ah, that's because I used [Swordsman]. [Swordsman] is currently the strongest [Character] I've unlocked. It's capable of using all of my abilities. There's that and the fact I used [Level Up], which temporarily allows me to boost all of my abilities to the next level.”
“….That ability should be banned. It's basically cheating.”
“I agree.”
The one who said that was Sora, who was in a tree in front of them.
He held the unconscious Aya over his shoulder.
“Yo, Sora. You won too.”
Sora didn't reply to Ace and just jumped down.
“Why are you explaining your ability to an enemy, you idiot?!”
He slammed his heel on the top of Ace’s head and rattled his brain.
“Ow!”
Ace fell on his back and held his head.
“Hina, why did you let this idiot do as he please?”
“I tried to stop him, but he didn't listen.”
‘Besides, it's not like any of the information he told her will allow her to defeat him. There's still the [Respawn] ability and the [Code Breaker] Ability that he recently unlocked. As long Ace have those two abilities it will be extremely hard to kill him, unless he wants to die.’
Thought Hina.
Sora sighed after having a similar thought and look at Ana who was carrying Saika, while healing him. She was staring at Aya on his shoulder.
“Don't worry I didn't kill her. Even though she wanted to blow herself and tried to take me to hell with her.”
When Ana heard ‘blow up’ her face paled for a bit, but she sighed in relief shortly after.
“Thanks for sparing her.”
“No problem. But to think that you were a beautiful elf. The hood is such a waste.”
“…..I have my reasons.”
“I see.”
Ace then got to his feet and glared at Sora.
“You already have a beauty on your shoulder, Ana is mine!”
“…….”
Sora ignored him and walked away.
“Let's hurry up and catch up with Gamiko.”
Hina and Ana silently followed behind. Only Ace was left fuming.
After walking for a while they say Sasha and Remi up a head.
“Mother-In-Law!”
Sasha heard Hina's energetic voice, and turned around and saw them. She then immediately run towards them, but Remi stood in place.
“It's great to see that you're all okay. Hm? You didn't kill your opponents either? I thought I would be the only one.”
“We think Mikky might've wanted them alive, Mother-In-Law.”
“Ah, I see. That might actually be true.”
“Can we hurry up and go. I want to hurry to Luka's side.”
Said Remi. He looked really impatient.
“….Um, Mother-In-Law. Who won your fight?”
“….I would like to know that as well.”
Sasha replied tiredly.
They walked for a while and entered a forest near the mountains. Shortly after, Aya woke but she still couldn't move too well; so Remi took her from Sora, and carried Aya.
This depressed Sora for some reason.
They exited the forest after almost 30 minutes later. It was then they spotted a shirtless man dragging something on the ground, while heading in the same direction as them.
“Leon!”
Leon heard Sasha's voice, turned around, and saw everyone rushing towards him.
“You're ok.”
“Yeah. It was a tough fight, but I pulled through. Oh, look. I earned us 1000 gold coins!”
Leon lifted Robin, who he was dragging on the ground like a bag of garbage, by his leg and showed Sasha.
“That's great. 1000 gold should get us a nice home in the city.”
“……..”
Ana, Aya, and Remi stared at the beaten up Robin, who was being held like a prized fish, with shock.
Robin was the strongest out of the five of them; they didn't expect him to lose as well. They had secretly hoped that he'll rescue them when they reached Luka, but he looked like he needed to be rescued the most.
It was at this time, Leon spotted Saika who was being carried by Ana.
“700 Gold! I mean Saika! You guys did great! With this we'll be able to afford a home in the Middle Class District!”
Saika, who had also woken up earlier, flinched when he heard that.
*BOOOM!*
A loud explosion was suddenly heard coming from the distance.
Everyone immediately rushed towards the source.
They arrive at a field near the mountains.
“W-What the hell happened here?”
Said Leon.
What was in front of him was a area filled with large craters. The surrounding trees were either frozen are burning.
There were even holes in the mountains.
But what shocked everyone wasn't that.
In the center of this destructions were two small figures continuously exchanging blows without even moving an inch back.
Surrounding them were dancing flames and lightning, and chilling frost and ominous darkness.
They weren't even standing on the ground. They both had wings on their backs, and were floating in the air.
It was like a clash between dragons.
