Mythical Conquest
The Syndicate Makes Its Move

The Syndicate Makes Its Move

The ruins of the 2nd District.

“………”

Miko stood over the members of Silver Crow who were stocked on top of each other.

He silently activated his Dragon Rage and created three arms of aura, which he used to pick up Bloom, Sapphire and Chrome.

“Hm? It looks like they were beaten pretty badly.”

Said Regis who appeared beside him.

“Looks like it went as how I expected it to.”

Said Miko.

He activated his Heavenly Qi and started to pour it into the girls.

“Oh? There’s signs of rapid healing in their bodies. Looks like they were on the verge of death not too long ago but were healed by a third party.”

Miko said as he analyzed their injuries.

Shortly after he said that, the girls started to open their eyes.

“…Miko?”

The first to speak was Bloom.

“Yo.”

Mika casually responded.

“What happened to Jin?!”

Sapphire suddenly shouted.

“Who knows? After defeating you guys he probably left after healing you.”

“I see….Weren’t able to stop him.”

She suddenly look dejected.

“As agreed, you guys are to leave Jin Makoto to me. You’ll focus on something different during this war.”

Said Miko, while he continued his treatment of them.

“Miko, Jin is really powerful. I mean really powerful. He effortlessly defeated us and even took on one of my strongest attacks head on and still walked away.”

Bloom worriedly said.

Miko didn’t say anything and just smiled at her.

She could tell from his smile that she couldn't change his mind.

What she wanted to do the most was to prevent Jin and Miko from killing each other. Even if Jin was merciless against them, she still didn’t want to see him dead. She also naturally didn’t want to see Miko dead either.

It was for this reason why she wanted to stop Jin last night, but unfortunately she wasn’t up to the task.

“You guys should be okay with this.”

Miko said as he released them and made them stand on their own.

“What about the boys?”

Chrome asked.

“Their men aren’t they? They can just shrug it off.”

Chrome didn’t know how to respond to that.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m going to look for someone I can have some fun with.”

Miko said with a mischievous smile.

Bloom immediately knew that he was talking about Jin, but she didn’t say anything. Miko had already given her a chance and she blew it.

She could only focus on her second target for this war.

Miko was beginning to walk away, but he stopped first.

“Ah, yeah. Andre Bernard is back in action. I would be careful if I were you. He had his eyes sent on you didn’t he?”

Sapphire nodded.

“Thanks for the warning.”

Miko didn’t saw anything else and simply nodded at Bloom before flying off with his dragon wings.

“Are your injuries okay?”

Tiamat suddenly appeared next to him and asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine. What’s wrong? I thought you were going to stay at the base until this was over.”

“I was but there’s something I bed to inform you about.”

“Go ahead.”

“The other proxy in the city has come out of isolation.”

District 0, the Syndicate’s base.

Inside the 0th District there was a grand oriental style shrine. The doors for this shrine suddenly opened and a wave of majestic aura swept through the district.

This aura was first detected by Kaido and then Nana; Kei and Blanche were late to detect it.

Kaido silently looked towards the direction of the shrine and showed a rarely serious face.

“Getting Hana back could be quite harder than I expected.”

He mumbled and watched as someone slowly approached them.

The person had a small and fragile figure, they were wrapped in majestic oriental robes that would normal be worn royalty.

They had long azure hair, green draconic eyes, and an enchanting face that had an apathetic look.

This was the leader of the Twin Dragon Syndicate, Tang Hian.

“Boss!”

When Kei and nana saw Tang they immediately kneeled before him.

“Taiga’s children huh?”

Tang glance at Kei and Nana before looking around.

His eyes fell on Blanche.

“Jean Pierre Blanche, from the fact that you’re here I take it that you’ve surrendered to my Syndicate?”

Blanche also kneeled.

“It’s as you’ve said, Boss Tang. I came to realize that the Syndicate is a supreme organization that I can’t do anything against. As such I’ve decided to join it in hopes of reaching a level I’ve never dreamed of.”

“I heard that you had a sweet tongue and could talk your way into heaven, it’s seems that really is the case.”

Said Tang as he looked down on Blanche.

“That’s enough. You may rise.”

“Yes!”

Blanche, Kei, and Nana all rose together when Tang said that.

Tang then turned his gaze on Kaido who was sitting by himself in a corner.

“And you are?”

“………”

Kaido didn’t reply to Tang and kept his eyes closed as if ignoring him.

“Boss Tang, his name is Kaido. He’s an old associate of mine.”

Seeing Kaido’s attitude Blanche quickly spoke up.

“Your associate seems to be upset about something. Could it be that he’s not here willfully?”

“That’s a bit….”

Blanche didn’t know to respond because he had yet to get a grasp on Tang’s personalty. He didn’t know if he was one to condone threatening people to work for him.

This was reasonable, because even though Tang was the boss of the Syndicate, it’s affairs were mostly handled by the Taiga and Aoi, Tang was rumored to be always focusing on his training and didn’t care for the Syndicate’s crime activities. So even if the Syndicate committed crimes that didn’t mean that their methods were to his liking.

“Your subordinates took someone very important to me, I’m just here to get them back.”

Kaido spoke with monotone.

“I see. The fact that taiga and Aoi went that far just to have you on our side speaks of your value.”

Said Tang.

“I trust their decision, hence I support their actions.”

“In other words, you won’t give me back Hana?”

Tang nodded.

“I see.”

Kaido stood up and started to walk towards the exit.

“Kaido, where are you going?”

Blanche asked.

“Work. The Boss is here now so the base should be safe without my presence. So I need to make myself useful in some other way.”

He stopped at looked at Tang.

“Is that okay with you, Boss?”

“Do as you wish.”

That was all Tang said before heading deeper into the 0th District.

“Roger that.”

Kaido started to leave again but he stopped and looked at Blanche.

His gaze was cold and abnormally emotionless.

“Jean-Pierre D’Arc, if anything happens to Hana I’ll destroy you and the Syndicate. I’m sure you remember just how savage I can be.”

His eyes turned draconic the moment he said so.

This was the first time Blanche seen that look in his eyes in years. It made him remember just how much of a beast Kaido was.

“You have been warned.”

After saying that he left the district.

He appeared in the destroyed 2nd District and looked up at the sun towering in the sky.

“Hana, looks like I really have to break my promise with you to keep another promise I made a long time ago.”

The moment he said that the atmosphere around him changed.

“I refuse to be anyone’s toy again. As such I need to return to my old self.”

*Boom!*

The ground under his suddenly started cracking like it was suffering from an immense weight.

A rune suddenly appeared in the middle of his forehead.

*Clank!*

The sounds of locks being opened echoed throughout the area.

The rune disappeared and the look in Kaido’s eyes changed to that of a beast.

He had removed the restrictions placed on his body all those years ago.

With them gone, his monstrous powers had returned and he was free to become the beast he was created to be.

He teeth turned into fangs and his eyes, that were already draconic, became even redder as if they were ready to bleed.

“Now then, let’s get to work.”

*Boom!*

With an explosive sound, Kaido disappeared from the 2nd District and made his way into the city.

Meanwhile, the Right Fang of the Syndicate Taiga Kitora was inside the back of a limousine.

This limousine was cruising down the bloodstained road of the city.

If he looked on either side, he could see numerous acts of violence being carried out. However as if he didn’t care he sat with his eyes close and his arms crossed.

It was then that a video call came through on the monitor in the limo.

“Good morning!”

The one who appeared was the Syndicate’s Left Fang Aoi Tsuyoshi.

“What is it?”

Asked Taiga.

“I just got word that the boss has left his seclusion.”

Aoi didn’t beating around the bush like she normally would and cut to the chase.

“I see. That explains the majestic aura like felt earlier. As expected it seems that he’s grown even stronger.”

Aoi nodded vigorously.

“With the boss out of seclusion this war is a sure win!”

She spoke with an excited tone.

“I agree. But we still need to do our jobs, so don’t forget that.”

“I know, I know. I’m approaching my target as we speak.”

“Good. Also be sure to don’t underestimate your opponent.”

“Underestimate?”

Aoi moved her camera so that Taiga could see behind. There were a sea of thugs and vehicles marching behind her; ready to fight a war.

“I might’ve even overdid it with the preparations.”

She said with a laugh.

“What about on your end?”

“My end?”

The limo slowly came a stop and a tough looking man came out and opened his door.

‘I’ve just arrived.”

If you look outside you would see a gigantic gate in the not so far distance. This was the gate which Miko came through.

In other words, he was in the 1st District.

“I see. Then good luck. Be sure to look out for any traps set by that snake Jun Mizune.”

“Same to you. Watch out for Luna Isabel and keep a look out for Exsul.”

“Don’t worry, i'll seize all of the city’s money before they arrive. You better watch out for them yourself.”

Taiga nodded and ended the call.

He stepped out of his limo and looked around at his sea of strong looking thugs eager to prove themselves with blood shed.

He took a deep breath before saying.

“Let’s get ready to seize this city’s alchemy!”
