Mythical Conquest
Lisa Flameheart

Lisa Flameheart

Everything began ten years ago.

Inside the Royal District, there was a group of cars driving in a straight line. They were all heading to the same place; the Flameheart Estate.

The cars stopped one after the other in front of the Estate’s gates. Men in black suits carrying various weapons, came out and surrounded the car in the middle. One of the men moved and opened the passenger door of the middle car, and waited for the person sitting inside to come out.

The person who stepped out was a beautiful young woman with short emerald hair. She was dressed in black jeans, a red top, and black combat boots. Her emerald eyes had a fierce look to them, that made people tremble.

This woman was Lisa Flameheart, the youngest daughter of the Flameheart Clan. Age 17.

“Welcome back, Miss Lisa.”

Lisa looked in front of her and saw a white-haired man wearing a white suit, standing behind the gate. He looked young, but had a mature air about him.

The man tapped his feet on the ground, and the gates swung open as if they were pushed.

“I'm extremely pleased to have the honor of being the first to welcome you back.

The man said with a courteous bow.

Lisa snorted and walked past the man and said-

“Save your hypocritical pleasantries for someone who cares.”

“In a bad mood, I see.”

The man began walking beside her. The men who escorted her all went back into their cars and drove away.

“You would be in a bad mood too if you were suddenly dragged back to the place you least wanted to be.

Said Lisa.

“You guys ship me away for 7 years, and then suddenly call me back without asking for my opinion even once.”

She looked at the man with scornful look.

“I had friends, you know. Good friends.”

“Does that include a boyfriend?”

“No…”

“Then I don't see the problem.”

Lisa suddenly kicked the man across the face, but the man was unfazed and simply smiled at her.

“Quite the tomboy I see.”

“Tch. Damn monster.”

Lisa brought her foot back to the ground and started walking again. The man did the same.

“An undying monster like yourself might not get the importance of friendship, but I do.”

“Well, I'm not a Flameheart after all.”

“What does being a Flameheart has to do with it?”

“Nothing really I just felt like saying it.”

The man shrugged at Lisa's glare, and continued.

“Besides I'm friends with your father.”

“Friends? A [Tyrant] like you have friends?

“That hurts. What does being a [Tyrant] have to do with anything?”

“When your title is [He Who Spreads Misfortune To All], it has everything to do with it.”

“Hmm…You got a point.”

The two of them arrived at the mansion's door, while talking. The man pushed opened the door, and continued talking.

“But you know, Lisa. Even I need friends….Isn't that right Darwin?”

Lisa looked up at the staircase and saw a handsome man standing there.

He was tall, a bit muscular, and dressed in a dark vest suit. He had tall hair that was tied into one with a black ribbon. His hair was emerald and black near the ends.

He was the leader of the Flameheart Clan, Darwin Flameheart.

“Arsene, could stop teasing my daughter? She obviously doesn't like it.”

Said Darwin.

“Like you care about what I want.”

Lisa snorted.

“You've grown into a beautiful woman, Lisa.”

“No, thanks to you.”

Lisa closed and opened her hand and a black cube appeared inside her palm. She squeezed the cube and a bed suddenly appeared beside her.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Lisa then jumped on the bed, and took posture indicating that she was going to sleep.

This scene caused Darwin to frown, while Arsene seemed amused.

“….What are you doing?”

“Sleeping.”

“We need to talk."

“I'm nocturnal. Talk to me next week.”

Darwin sighed and snapped his fingers. The bed immediately vanished into thin air, causing Lisa the fall in the floor.

“What was that for?!”

“We need to talk about something urgent. I don't have time to deal with your jokes.”

“I don't really feel like talking.”

Darwin snapped his fingers one more time, and caused the scenery to change from the hall to an office.

Lisa immediately knew that Darwin had just used [Teleportation] to bring them here.

However only she and Darwin were here, Arsene wasn't anywhere to be found.

Meanwhile in the hall-

“So you're just going to leave me out like that?"

Ardent shrugged his shoulders.

“Fine. I guess I'll go play with Nero and Nova."

The space around him then distorted and he disappeared.

Back at the office.

“………”

“………”

Darwin and Lisa stared at each other in silence. There was an awkward atmosphere between them.

That was a given. It's been more than 10 years since they last saw each other.

Around 7 years ago, some of Darwin’s old enemies gathered together and tried to annihilate the Flameheart Clan.

These weren't normally enemies. These were enemies of the highest [Class ] like Darwin. They were enemies he made in his younger years when he traveled the world. With enemies as powerful as this, Darwin was faced with a crisis.

He couldn't ask for help from the Saevio Clan or the Dragna, because of his pride.

That pride caused him his wife.

Dead set on bathing in his enemies blood, Darwin scattered his 5 children all over the world and headed into war.

Darwin and his enemies wrecked havoc all over the Silver Continent. Cities were destroyed. Millions of innocents died in the crossfire. Rivers of blood ran endlessly.

Just when he thought he reached his limit, his long time friend Arsene came to his rescue.

It wasn't just Arsene. Nero and Nova sensing an opportunity to run wild joined the fray.

Three [Tyrants]. That was all that it took to destroy Darwin’s enemies and their families.

Of course after claiming victory he called back his children, all but one; Lisa.

Lisa was sent to the Gold Continent, which was on the other side of the world. Darwin wanted to call her back, but it wasn't that simple.

In haste to shatter his children, he sent her to a far away demon kingdom where he had a few trustworthy friends, but some unexpected events occurred there.

“Do you what it was like? Being in the center of a coup, watching everyone you knew being slain and torched at the age of 11?”

That's right. The demon kingdom was destroyed by a coup a year after Lisa was sent there.

Darwin who was too caught up in a vendetta, didn't have time to check on his children wellbeing, and didn't know until it was too late.

When he heard, he quickly raced to the demon kingdom and was faced with it's ruins.

Darwin believed that just like his wife, his daughter had perished because of his carelessness. And so Lisa was pronounced dead.

That was until three years ago, when Arsene appeared before him.

“Oh, yeah. Your daughter Lisa is alive, by the way.”

He said those words so casually while eating a chocolate bar, that you would think he was talking about the weather.

Of course Darwin pressured him to explain his words. Arsene explained without looking at him:

“Ah, I was in the Gold Continent searching for Hercules’ Proxy, Fighting God Rood, when I came across a Magic Academy. I heard that it had the best pastry around, so I snuck in. That's when I came across a girl calling herself Lisa Flameheart. So being the good friend I am, I abducted her and confirmed that she was your daughter.”

Hearing this, Darwin had a lot of questions. Some included, why did an all-powerful [Tyrant] sneak into a school just to eat their pastries?

But in the end he asked, what did he do with her after he confirmed that it was her?

“Ah, she gave me some cake and told me not to tell you about so I didn't.”

After pounding his “friend” as hard as he could, Darwin ordered for Lisa to be brought back.

But Arsene advised against it. He explained that Lisa was safer there because she was under the protection of a powerful organization, and that Lisa really hated him for what happened. To the point she rather commit suicide than return to her father's side.

Arsene then proposed that he protect Lisa for Darwin and bring her back “when she's less emotional”. Darwin reluctantly agreed.

“If if wasn't for that pervert kidnapping me when I was asleep, I wouldn't be here.”

“I didn't expect to see you this soon either. I was surprised when Arsene suddenly declared that he needed to bring you back.”

“That's because that pervert had an affair with the principal’s wife and daughters, and caused a huge scandal.”

Lisa frowned and continued.

“He posed as a teacher to keep an eye on me at first. But it didn't take long for him to forget about me and blended in with school. He was a having a better school life than me who was a student! I was starting to wonder if he really was the Cursed King that was feared around the world.”

Darwin held his head in the hands when he heard that. He thought he was really stupid to actually trust Arsene with guarding his daughter.

“Never mind that.”

He looked up at Lisa and asked with serious expression.

“How did you ended up at that academy?”

“….I was saved by a wonderful person before I was killed. He brought me to the academy and paid for all of my tuition and left.”

“What? Do you know who he was?”

“No idea. But I will definitely meet him again.”

Darwin furrowed his brows when he saw Lisa's expression.

As a Flameheart and a father, he knew that expression quite well.

It was that of a maiden in love.

“Shit…”

He muttered a curse.

There were a lot of problems with Lisa falling in love at the moment, especially since it would go against an agreement he made years ago.

However, Darwin wasn't a heartless person. He knew that for a Flameheart love was as important as oxygen. So he won't try to crush her feelings…..not yet anyway.

Darwin shook his head of those thoughts, and he resolved himself for what needs to be done.

He moved from behind his desk and stood in front of Lisa.

“W-What?”

Her father's stare made her uncomfortable.

Darwin looked at her one last time, before slowly bending his knees, and grovel on the ground.

“Wha?!”

Darwin’s sudden action shocked Lisa. Her father she hasn't seen in almost a decade was groveling before her. There's no way she wouldn't be shaken.

“F-Father, what are you doing? Get up.”

“A father who's done nothing but bring misfortune to his daughter has no right to look her in the face.”

He said solemnly.

“Because of me, you lost your mother from a young age and was exposed to unbelievable carnage. I'm a failure as a parent and as a person.”

Darwin stretched his right hand out, and slammed it with his fist.

“Daddy?!”

Lisa screamed out as she saw Darwin destroy his own hand.

She hurried got off her chair, and tried to heal it with magic but Darwin stopped her.

“This is only a fraction of the pain I've caused you.”

He then placed his left hand on his right shoulder.

*Creak!*

Lisa's face paled as she witnessed Darwin dislocate his own shoulder.

He moved his hand to his feet.

“Stop!”

Lisa quickly grabbed his hand before he could hurt himself any further.

“I still haven't made amends yet.”

“That's enough! Don't hurt yourself because of me!”

Seeing the tears in her eyes, Darwin wiped them away his finger and stood up.

“I will not allow this hand to heal until I believe you've truly forgiven me. I hope that's enough for now.”

Lisa also stood up and stared at her father with concern.

She hugged him, and whispered.

“I'm back, Daddy.”

“Welcome back, Lisa.”

Lisa then started crying.

“I was so scared. Everyone was getting slaughtered and I was all alone.”

“I'm sorry. I promise you, you won't be alone anymore.”

Lisa slowly nodded with tears in her eyes, as she rested her head on her father's chest.

Darwin held Lisa and smiled bitterly.

He thought to himself.

‘I'm sorry, Lisa; you returning might bring you more heartbreak.’

He bit his lip so hard it bled.

‘But don't worry, I'll cut my head off, if you need me to as reparation.’

At the same time, around 2000 miles west of the Dragna Kingdom.

A city was set ablaze and the thick black smoke coming from the flames polluted the air.

The screams of the residents resounded through the air.

Some were set on fire.

Some were bleeding from serious injuries.

Some were missing limbs.

Some were missing their eyes.

It was a truly terrible sight.

Walking without a care in the world, inside this hell, were two men.

One was a tall, and handsome man with black hair and red eyes. He had a majestic aura, and was very eye-catching even though he wore plain black robes.

He was Ouroboros.

“What a horrid sight. Wouldn't it be better to just kill them and be done with it?”

He spoke to the man beside him.

He was also tall and handsome with black hair and red eyes. In fact he looked so much like Ouroboros that he could pass as his relative.

“It can't be helped. This was the emperor’s orders. The people here are to be punished, but not killed.”

The man answered as he put on the mask he held in his hand. The mask was black with the letter Z with a line drew through it, on the mouth area.

“Demon Sovereign, Zara. Beelzebub sure chose a malicious Proxy.”

Ouroboros said with a sigh.

The man waved his hand and sliced off the legs of a group of people that were running away from him.

“Malicious or not, Zara raised me like a son. As a member of the Black Scriptures of Beelzebub, I'll carry out any orders given to me.”

He tapped his feet and hundreds of beasts came from his shadow and hunted down the escaping people.

The dark beasts ripped the people apart until they were near the brink of death.

Seeing this, Ouroboros sighed.

He waved his hand and people who were suffering, all exploded and their blood rained down on the earth.

“Why did you do that?”

“They've suffered enough. Besides, I know that you hate this job, Zanis”

“I failed my assignment because of your compassion.”

“So? What can Zara do? I was the one who killed them. Even if he complains to Beelzebub, I'm not afraid of the so called Lord Of Flies.”

Zanis said nothing, and took off his mask.

He took out a tablet and operated it.

“Where's the next job?”

Ouroboros looked over his shoulder and asked.

“The Dragna Kingdom. I'm supposed to meet with the leader of country and retrieve something from him.”

“Hmm. Tia’s kingdom, huh. As long as we don't meet Nero or Nova, I have no objections.”

Zanis looked a bit confused at first, but still nodded.

A thick black mist then wrapped around the two of them, and they disappeared.

“…..”

A red figure then appeared out nowhere and looked at the destroyed city with amusement.

They then smiled and silently disappeared in a burst of flames.
