The wars in the city were getting more and more chaotic. The one that was the most chaotic was the 1st District.
It was the place where half of the syndicate’s forces battled with Jun Mizune’s men.
If that wasn’t enough, Exsul’s forces were also concentrated there under the leadership of Sola and Yota.
All three forces were fighting for the same thing.
Ownership of MYTH’s alchemy techniques.
*Boom!*
The flames of war burnt hot among the three sides, as they battled intensely without any signs of backing down.
Yota who was facing Flow was in the heat of battle, fighting with everything he got.
*Boom!*
His punch clashed against a wall of water and caused it to blow apart.
He took a step forward and threw a more powerful punch aiming at Flow’s face.
*Boom!*
The blow from the fist caused Flow’s head to blow apart as if it was water.
*Splash!*
In reality, it actually was water.
“A water clone?”
Yota looked around searching for the real Flow.
That’s when he heard a roaring sound coming from underneath him.
*Boom!*
The moment he jumped back the earth burst open and a pillar of water was erected to the air.
The water shooting upwards came down like rain and soaked the entire area.
Yota looked and saw the water on the ground moving like it was alive.
Moments later, he saw the water take the shape of Flow.
He quickly looked around him and saw several water clones of Flow being formed.
Before he knew it Yota was surrounded from all sides.
“For someone you claim to not remember, you sure are pulling out all the stops to finish me off.”
Said Yota.
“I’m not claiming. I really don’t remember you.”
Flow’s voice came from the countless water clones.
Yota gritted his teeth in angry.
“Then I’ll just have to remind you!”
Yota roared and a green aura started seeping from his body.
This was Beastly Qi.
From the first moment Miko became aware of Yota’s talents, he tried his best to help him awaken his Qi.
However he wasn’t able to since he didn’t really know much about how people outside of the Dragna Clan trained their Qi.
This resulted in Miko failing to awaken Yota’s Qi before the Ranking Tournament.
However, Miko decided to use the same method Momo used to awaken his Qi with Yota.
Put him in a situation where his life was constantly endangered.
So for the next six months Yota was forced to battle Miko, who was using his Dragonite form, until he was inches away from death.
This method succeed, however Miko didn’t know a thing about Beastly Qi so he couldn't give Yota any pointers and only thought him the basic uses of qigong.
Even so, Yota’s power when using Qi got an explosive increase.
He shot towards a random direction and threw a punch.
*Boom!*
The force from the punch caused multiple Flow clones to burst apart.
The clones all aimed their palms at Yota and water started gathering in the center of them.
*Boom!*
Countless streams of water charged towards Yota and hit him from all directions.
“Hm?”
Flow suddenly saw something flashed passed him.
That’s when he felt something flowing down his cheek. He placed his hand there and found out that it was his blood.
The fact that the real him was bleeding, meant that Yota had discovered him.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Which was right.
“?!”
Flow looked to his side and saw Yota beside him in middle of throwing a punch.
He was to late to react.
*Boom!*
He was hit square in the face by Yota’s fist, which carried all of his strength.
*Crack!*
Flow’s skull cracked and his face sunk in as he was blown away crashing through the district nonstop.
“I bet you’ll remember that even in hell.”
Said Yota.
Meanwhile in a different part of the district, Taiga in his tiger form was ripping through Jun’s defenses like it was paper.
*Boom!*
“Haaaa?!”
Countless soldiers screamed as they perished under his claws and fangs.
His advance couldn’t be stopped and he quickly reached Jun’s headquarters.
He looked at the building while changing back into his human form.
“Oh? Flow Mizune seemed to have lost. That’s rather unexpected.”
He started to enter the building.
“It looks like I really need to clean up this Exsul as soon as possible.”
The moment he entered the building he saw someone blocking his path.
This person was the one he came for, Jun Mizune.
“It’s quite nice of you to save me the trouble of hunting you down.”
Said taiga.
“I hope that you’ve come to your senses and decided to hand over your alchemical techniques.”
Jun silently pulled a sword from his waist.
Taiga narrowed his eyes when he saw that.
“I see. How unfortunate that the city will lose a man such as yourself.”
“I was just about to say the same thing to you.”
Jun gripped the sword and spikes shot out of the handle and stabbed into his hand.
The blood from his hand was sucked into the spikes and a red line was seen forming along the blade.
This was Blood Injection, this was a method to draw the full power of the Ignition Weapons created by Genesis. They were based on the soul weapons of vampires.
A bloody red mist started being released from the sword. The mist wrapped itself around Jun’s arm and created a red gauntlet.
With his weapon in his hand jun shot forward.
Taiga transformed into a giant tiger and rushed towards him as well.
Jun jumped and swung his sword down.
*Boom!*
A slash of blood ripped through the air and charged towards Taiga.
Taiga didn’t dodge and faced the attack head on.
*Boom!*
The blood slash cut into his body and caused blood to spray about. However he didn’t pause for a second much less stop.
He ran on all fours and pounced towards jun.
Jun welcomed him with a slash of his sword. However, Taiga’s figure suddenly blurred out and reappeared to Jun’s side.
Taiga swung his giant claw, which Jun desperately used his sword to defend against.
*Boom!*
The heaviness of Taiga’s claw easily overwhelmed Jun and brought him to his knees.
Taiga swung his claw again and forced Jun to defend it again. The result was the same as the last.
Jun was being overwhelmed.
He was forced flat on his back while using his sword to hold off Taiga’s attack.
“How disappointing. I heard that you weren’t the fighting type, but I did hear that you were the best at scheming among the Pillars. So I thought you showing yourself here would lead to an interesting development, but so far it’s not but disappointment.”
Taiga said as he asserted a little more strength to pressure his opponent.
“Hahahaha….you said it yourself Taiga. I’m the best when it comes to scheming.”
As Jun said that, a single tear of blood fell from his eye and hit the ground.
Taiga watched this drop of blood got absorbed into the ground like water to a sponge.
“?!”
His instincts immediately warned him of a great danger.
He tried to leap back but his foot became stuck on Jun’s blade.
“Taiga of the Left Fang, let me tell you a little secret about this city. Fifty years ago when this city was created there was a powerful spell formation that served as its foundation.”
Red light started to appear under Jun, and it quickly spread to cover the entire building.
“This spell formation was to create a certain item, but for it to work a certain amount of blood and souls were needed. Not only that, there are pin points that must have a catalyst for it to activate.”
Spikes stabbed into Taiga’s claw.
His blood flowed and fell on the floor.
“That’s where you come in, Taiga. This is one those pin points and your blood is needed to start everything.”
Red lines stretched from the building and to every inch of the district.
“But not only your blood. I need the blood of thousands!”
If you look at the 1st District from a far, you would see red lines running through it, forming an eye with Jun’s building in the center of it all.
“Thank you, Taiga. Thank you for leading so many people here to kill each other and drench the district in blood.”
A wicked smile appeared on Jun’s face.
“Their blood, malice, and hatred will be a great fertilizer to the Spell Formation.”
The red lines went unnoticed by everyone in the district because they were too busy killing each other.
They failed to noticed that their blood were slowly being absorbed into the ground while the red lines slowly grew brighter.
“You bastard. You lured us here.”
Taiga growled.
“Of course. This formation needs blood from a battle and a great quantity of it at that. So what’s a better way than having everyone in the city kill each other in a war?”
After Jun said that, Taiga found himself able to move again.
He leaped away from Jun and glared at him.
“Why did you let me go? I thought you needed my blood?”
“I do. I used the blood of two S Class so that the formation would start gathering the sufficient amount of materials for its activation. But I do still need your blood to power it up.”
“Then why let me go? Don’t tell me that you’re confident enough to kill me.”
Taiga said with a skeptic tone.
Jin shook his head.
“I’m not delusional enough to believe that I can kill you.”
Jun lifted his sword and suddenly stabbed himself in the chest.
This naturally surprised Taiga greatly.
“My role here in this world is done. It’s time for a new generation to take over.”
Jun spoke will blood flowed from his mouth and nose.
“S-Say, Taiga. Do you know the two ways to ignite an ignition weapon?”
Grotesque veins began appearing on his chest.
“The first way is to use your blood as a power source.”
The veins started spreading to the rest of his body.
“The other way is to give it a sacrifice.”
Jun’s face started to paled at an alarming pace.
“Of course, this method allows the weapon to reach a new level of power which will grow with the user. Something like that will surely come in handy in the future. Don't you think it would be a perfect gift?"
“….You’re freaking insane.”
Taiga muttered.
The dried up looking Jun slowly shook his head.
“I’m just an overprotective father.”
After saying that Jun’s body suddenly crumbled and his sword was left behind.
Before taiga could even think about touching it, a group of shadowy figures appeared around it.
One of them took it up and examined it.
It nodded to another one who had something hung over its shoulder.
Taiga recognized it as Flow Mizune, who was knocked out by Yota earlier.
The shadowy figures then departed with Flow and the sword and disappeared into nothingness.
As for Taiga who saw that-
“Those things were from MYTH….I see. Jun Mizune made a deal with MYTH to have his son join them. He even went as far as to turn himself into a weapon for his son.”
He quickly analyzed the situation.
He turned his back to the direction the shadows disappeared in and entered deeper into the building.
“Now that he’s joined MYTH Flow Mizune should no longer be apart of this war, so he’s no longer important.”
Even though Jun’s words about the Spell Formation bothered him, he still had to complete his mission.
It’s not like he could stop the war. It has long past the point of no return.
He knew that the formation would definitely get the amount of blood it wanted, but he didn’t care.
All that was on his mind was to accomplish his mission.
The fate of the city could wait until after that.
Second Day of war.
Pillar Jun Mizune died and his district was taken along with the city’s alchemy secrets.
This was the first major incident of many to come during this war.
