When Miko saw Nero's devious smile, a strong chill ran down his spine. It was the same dreadful feeling he felt when he was approaching the room.
‘This bastard. He was the one directing bloodlust at me from the beginning. And now he's acting like he just noticed me.’
Thinking that Miko replied with a smile of his own.
“Thanks for having me.”
“Hmm…you really look like us.”
“?!”
Miko jumped back when Nova appeared beside him and stared at him.
“There's no need to be so surprised. It's not like we want to hurt you.”
He said with dejected expression.
Nero then turned to Momo.
“So how did it go?”
“He passed with flying colors.”
“Oh? He must be pretty amazing to be praised by my darling Momo.”
“He has great potential. If he's given proper guidance he could throw the world on its head in a century or so. Maybe even less.”
“Then I'll give him to you.”
He then turned to Miko.
“Momo will be your master and teach you everything-”
“Hold up, Nero.”
Before he could finish his sentence, Nero was suddenly interrupted by Miko, who wore a fearless smile as he stepped out.
“I don't like the way you're deciding my life without consulting me.”
Everyone raised their eyebrows when they heard that.
“Are you upset with Momo becoming your teacher?”
Nova looked at Miko with a strange look.
“That isn't what I have a problem with.”
He then pointed at the two of them.
“I'm not your puppet or your toy. If you tell me to jump I won't ask how high, I'll look you straight in the eye and ask you what for?! You do not own me, you do not rule me, you do not control me!”
“Then why did you try to come in contact with us?”
Nero asked cooly.
Miko smiled provokingly.
“To use you of course.”
Everyone was stun. This kid stood in front of one of the most feared men in history and bluntly stated that he wants to use him.
They couldn't help but be speechless.
Especially Sherry, who was reminded of a young Nova.
Nero and Nova on the other hand became serious.
“Use us?”
They then released a bloodlust so dreadful and terrifying that everyone in the palace felt like they were at death door.
The weak-minded ones even went on their knees and begged for forgiveness even though I didn't know what caused it.
“?!”
Miko who was on the receiving end of their bloodlust felt like his being surpassed by two mountains.
His body couldn't move and cold sweat covered his body. He could've even sworn that he could see a black mist cover the room. Sticking out of mist were rotting corpses that were stretching out towards him.
He felt like he needed to run. In fact, a normal person would've have escaped a long time ago. Maybe even fainted.
However, Miko's will power was extraordinary. Even though he was scared beyond his senses, he knew that the notion of running was impossible. If he ran away everything was over. It was the same if he cower in front of them.
Telling himself that, Miko held his ground and released [Dragon Rage] to the fullest.
It was indication that not only he wasn't going to cower in fear, he plans on fighting if this necessary.
This action caught everyone off guard. Even people of similar [Class] wouldn't hesitate to make their escape if they were facing this terrifying father and son duo; but here was a [C Class] who looked like he was itching for a fight. It was a child who wasn't even 10 at that.
This was just too funny.

“…..”
“……”
“……”
The three who bare the name of "God’s Child" glared at each other without no signs of retreat.
It was then Nero showed a smile.
“I see. Then use us as you please.”
Nova also smiled.
“Just don't bore us, or we’ll discard you.”
Miko smirked.
“Fine. But you better be worth the trouble I went through to meet you guys.”
With that, the tense atmosphere completely disappeared.
Sherry and Momo sighed in relief.
They knew Nova and Nero's personality quite well. They weren't easy to anger, but they don't like to be taken for a fool. Even if they wouldn't kill him, they would still break him; body and soul and all.
They most likely didn't because they thought Miko was interesting.
“Then I take your offer of having Momo as my teacher.”
As he said that Miko remembered something. He then turned Momo.
“Now that I think about it, didn't you say you would tell how you discovered how my technique works when we got here.”
“Ah, that.”
Momo seemed to have just remembered herself.
“I used to Qi to check the inner workings of your body and figured it out.”
“Qi?! Qi exists here?!”
“Oh, you heard of it.”
Qi, Also known as Ki and Chi. It is the life force that circulates inside the body. It plays in a big part in Chinese martial arts and ancient Chinese medicine.
It's existence wasn't scientifically proven so it regarded as a myth. However it cannot be disregarded as a pure nonsense, since just like how science cannot prove its existence, it cannot prove it doesn't exist.
Logan knew quite a bit about Qi. When he was in china, he got hooked on Wuxia novels for a while and became a huge fan.
Seeing Miko's excited expression, Momo opened her mouth to say something, but she was stopped by Nero's hand.
“Before we talk about Qi and Qigong. I want to ask you about something.”
“Hm? What is it?”
Momo was alarmed when she saw Nero suddenly put on a serious face before speaking.
“I want you to tell me about the world you came from.”
“?!”
Miko was shocked beyond belief by Nero's words. It took him a while to calm down before he could speak.
“I have no idea what you're talking about.”
“Please don't insult my intelligence, Miko. I know all about you being reincarnated and you being my grandmother’s Proxy.”
This time it was Sherry’s turn to be startled.
‘This kid is a reincarnated being, and Tiamat's Proxy at that?! This is too unbelievable!’
And then a thought occurred to her.
‘Why did Nero spoke about this in front of me? Could this be reason he invited me today, so that I could hear this conversation? But why? Could he be planning something big with this boy and intends to make me an accomplice?’
Miko narrowed his eyes and stared at Nero.
“Did you overhear Tiamat's and Sasha's conversation?”
“I did, but I always knew about the existence of another world. In fact I almost made it there.”
“?!”
Miko was once again shocked. Not only did Nero knew about the world he came from, he even tried to reach it.
“Have you've ever heard of Mimir’s Well?”
“Isn't that the well Odin threw his eye in to obtain unlimited wisdom and knowledge?”
“I came across it before the Proxy System was created. I won't tell you how I found it and why I was searching for it, but this well gave me information about this world and the one you came from.”
Nero had a profound look in his eyes as he recalled thousands of years ago.
“Apparently, the two worlds are connected and relies on each other to survive. If one dies, the other will too. Because of this mysterious connection it's possible to travel between them. Well, in theory anyway. However, transmigration and reincarnation between the two worlds have happened on several occasions. And it goes both ways.”
Miko was once again shocked. Nero words meant that he wasn't the first to be reincarnated from his world into this one. Not only that, persons have been reincarnated from this world into his. This was all too hard to believe.
“Why did you want to go to my world?”
Miko asked.
Nero smiled playfully.
“It's a place where gods, demons, and magic are considered myths right? I just want to see such an unbelievable world with my eyes.”
“There's not much to see compared to this one. You would just be wasting your time.”
“Is that so?”
Nero suddenly looked dejected and slouched in his seat.
“Ah, Momo you can explain Qi to him now?”
He said with an uninterested tone.
Miko wanted to ask him more about the connection with the two worlds, but he could see from Nero's behavior that he lost interest in the topic, and probably wouldn't tell him anymore.
“Y-Yes.”
Momo who was sank in her own thoughts was barely able to answer.
She then coughed and turned to Miko.
“First of all Qi is the power resides in a person’s soul. Qigong is the art used to use this power as a weapon or for other purposes.”
Momo’s body suddenly started to glow a golden light.
“This is what Qi looks like when activated. When activated, Qi naturally strengthens and harden the body. Unlike magic that strains the body, Qi permanently fortify it and increase the user's martial prowess over time. In other words, Qi gives you natural strength while magic is like doping.”
She then walked up to a wall. Without stopping, her feet sticked to the wall and she continued climbing the wall without using her hands.
“Qi have the same amount if not more uses as magic. You can walk on water, heal sicknesses, fly, rumor has it you can even create life.”
“….Then between Qi and Magic which one is stronger?”
“Hard to say. Qi was created by humans to specifically counter magic, but it's not like it has a clear advantage over it.”
“It was created to counter magic?”
“That's right. Magic was once the sole possession of the gods and demons. So humans of that time created a power to counter the gods. Qi with its ability to attack the soul directly, was a deadly weapon against the other races. And since it's something that only humans can use, that made it even more dangerous.”
A power created to counter the gods. Hearing that, Miko became even more interested in learning it. But then he realized something. If Qi was so great then why wasn't it more popular?
“That's because Qi is harder to master than magic, because it requires constant intense training.”
The one who answered Miko's thought like he read his mind, was Nova.
“Couple that with the fact that you need to have human blood to use it, less than 10% of the world has mastered it.”
“Then can I learn it?”
Unlike the rest of the Dragna Clan, Miko wasn't really human. He was a Dragon Proxy with demon blood in his veins.
“Before i answer that, let me explain what the hair colors in our Clan represents.”
He pointed at himself.
“Those of us with purple hair have the blood of Augustus Dragna running through our veins more than of Tiamat. Augustus was a human who became a Qigong God and reached the same level of strength as a Higher Being. Because his blood is dominant in us we inherited his talent for Qigong and have an easier time at mastering it than magic.”
He then pointed at Miko and Momo.
“Those with azure hair have the blood of Tiamat dominant in your veins. In other words, you all lean over more to a deity dragon than a human. That's why it's easier for them to able to master magic than others. That and they sometimes possesses dragon features.”
Momo flashed her claws when he said that.
Nova continued.
“However because the blood of a God is dominant in them, it's harder for them to learn Qi than the average person. So while you can learn it, it will be extremely hard.”
Miko looked at Nero.
“Then what about those with both azure and purple hair?”
“We are the most gifted in the Clan. Whether it be Qi or Magic we can master them both with ease. There's no limit for us.”
Said Nero proudly.
Nova ignored his father and spoke to Miko.
“Even though it will be extremely hard for you, do you still want to learn Qi?”
“Of course!”
Miko said eagerly. However-
“It's impossible for you. Just give up.”
Nero's lazy voice crashed his enthusiasm.
He turned to Nero.
“Why?”
“Your mind is not fit to use Qigong.”
He stood up and walked over to Miko.
“Qigong is the projection of one’s soul and desires outside the body.”
He pointed at Miko.
“For you who restrains his desires and himself, learning Qigong is impossible.”
Miko had a confused look on his face.
“I restrain my desire? That's bullshit. I always do as I please.”
“Is that so? That's not how I see it.”
He stared down at Miko.
“I've been watching from the day you were born. It's true that it looks like you do whatever you want, but in actuality you chain yourself down like a slave.”
Miko got even more confused.
“Don't think about it so hard. You've probably been like this for years and it now became a habit that you haven't even realized yet.”
He then looked at Momo.
“Take him to the Illusionary Beast Valley. If he really wants to learn Qigong he'll need an extreme method to do it.”
Panic was seen on Momo's face, but she immediately hid it.
“Okay, Gramps.”
Saying Momo dragged away the confused Miko and left the room.
Only Nero, Nova, and Sherry was left.
“Ah, crap! I forgot to ask about Sasha!”
Nero suddenly shouted.
Nova took out a photo from his pocket and looked at it.
“Sigh. My dear Sasha why haven't you come home? You're making big brother lonely.”
Nero also took out a picture, it looked like he had his own.
“My little princess, come home to Papa!”
He shouted with a sorrowful tone.
Sherry who watched them couldn't help but to understand why Sasha left.
Then she began to think.
‘Nero's conversation with Miko held a lot of dangerous information. Even so, he definitely wanted me to hear it. Why? Is it because I'm Nova’s first wife? But that was only a political marriage that happened several millennia ago. We may have a daughter together but that's it. So that can't be it.’
She pondered for a while, but no matter how much she thought she couldn't figure out what Nero was thinking.
‘But why didn't Nero warn Miko? He should know more than anyone that it was against the rules to make a reincarnated person a Proxy. If word of this gets out, Tiamat might suffer a strong backlash. But why did she who never chose a Proxy before, break the rules for Miko? What is he to her?’
Sherry looked at her husband and father-in-law.
They were sitting on the ground with a couple hundred photos around them.
“I’ll trade you this picture of a baby Sonia for a your picture of Sasha riding a Pegasus.”
“Deal!”
The two exchanged pictures.
“My turn.”
Nova took up two pictures.
“I'll trade you these pictures of Momo and Sasha playing together, for your picture of Eva and Ava dancing with fairies.”
“Throw in a picture of Sonia holding baby Momo and you have a deal.”
“Fine.”
The two exchanged pictures once again.
“…………”
Sherry watched this scene with deadpan eyes and thought to herself.
‘I can never understand this clan.”
