The night of the Throne Wars.
After the winner was decided, Nero and Rouge fixed the kingdom the way it was and returned it back to their original place.
With the death of Dario, the borders that have been closed for a decade were finally opened again.
Because of this, the news of what happened that day spread to throughout the Silver Continent like wildfire.
There were too many shocking events that came out all of once that it left a lot of people skeptical, but there were a lot who couldn’t help but to believe them.
The first [Tyrant] and the Overlord of death Nero, real name was Gamiko Dragna! He was apart of the famous Dragna clan!
This automatically meant that Chaos Emperor Nova was also from the Dragna clan!
Another shocking news was that the first female [Tyrant] and Ruler of Niflheim Kimiko Mors was Nero's wife and Nova’s mother.
And then there's Nova marriage to Golden Fox Goddess, Sherry and Neo the Unyielding.
Let's not forget about the news of Walking Apocalypse Rouge, also being from the Dragna clan! Not only that, Warrior King Marcel was Alive!
There was so much earthshaking news that one could only wonder if they were authentic.
The public opinion was split between, it was authentic and that it was nonsense.
In the end, even the news that Nero's grandson was the new king of the Dragna Kingdom, was doubted.
Miko didn't care about any of this.
In fact, this was beneficial to him. This way he could slaughter the morons not smart enough to know their place.
However, this skeptic view of the people put a small wedge in his plans. For his plans to show result, he'll need to be recognized as Nero's and Kimiko's grandchild. Because of that, once he's officially crowned king, he’ll announced his status to the world.
Through blood, of course.
At the Royal Palace.
While everyone else was either celebrating or discussing everything they saw today, there was a tense atmosphere in the Throne room of the palace.
Inside the room were six persons all standing around a table.
These people were Rouge, Marcel, Vivian, Karim, Rin, and Celina.
There were all staring at the body on the table.
This body belonged to Dario.
“Alright, I'll begin.”
The one who said that was Celina.
She held something blurry in her hands.
She placed her hand on Dario's chest wound, and poured magic into it.
The chest suddenly started repairing itself at a speed that was visibly to the human eye.
After nearly a minute, the chest wound was gone.
Celina then pressed the blurry thing on Dario's chest. It immediately entered his body without any resistance.
Celina stepped back and looked at Dario.
As if she found everything satisfactory, a smile appeared on her tired face.
She then lifted her hands in the air.
“[By the name of my mother, Hel; I demand that this lost soul to return to where it belongs]!”
*Boom!*
A bright light shot out of Celina's body and hit Dario's, which made it flung all over the place.
Dario's body started glowing for a while, before gradually fading.
After another minute or so, Dario's fingers twitched.
His eyes opened shortly after.
Dario Dragna had been revived!
“Dario!”
Seeing her son alive and well, Vivian couldn't help but to embrace him with tears flowing down her cheeks.
She had three sons.
One was in a coma for over a decade, and the other was killed a day after her first son woke up.
This stress was too much for the kindhearted woman to bare.
“…I see. I died.”
There was a sour expression on his face.
After experiencing death itself, he couldn't help but shiver.
Although he couldn't remember what the afterlife looked like, he was pretty sure that he met something very terrifying there.
“You lost, boy.”
Marcel spoke with a cold voice.
“Not only that, you had to give up two [Classes] worth of strength to be revived. You're lucky that your grandmother acted quickly otherwise, you're future potential would've been reduced to a messily [X Class] at best.”
“Shut up, Marcel.”
Vivian said with a cold voice.
“Why must the first thing my son hears after coming back to life, is your complaining? Didn't you also fail 15 years ago?”
“…….”
Being scolded by his normally docile wife, made Marcel speechless.
“It's true that Dario lost, but that doesn't mean it's the end of him.”
Rouge suddenly said.
“Dario, you'll now devote your entire life to getting stronger and protecting this kingdom from the shadows. You'll receive no fame or recognition from the general public. However, you will receive my gratitude. Do you accept?”
Rouge said in a blunt tone.
After losing everything, Dario will forever live in the shadows and never to stand in the light again.
Even though he was alive, he was still dead to the world.
“…. Before I answer, can you tell me what happened to my men?”
“They all died.”
Rouge answered without batting an eye.
“Marco. Was his body left in one piece?”
There were several ways to revive a person, however if the corpses was heavily damaged, like cut into pieces, resurrection wasn't impossible but it would be extremely difficult. Even if you fix the corpse back together.
No one knew the reason for this, it was just the way it was.
“Miko cut Marco's body in two and also destroyed his insides.”
Rouge answered.
This made Marco depressed.
Although Celina was able to revive him after having all of his organs fried, she could only resurrect a single person a day.
This made Marco's resurrection even more unlikely.
Reviving the dead was an extremely delicate process. If certain criteria wasn't met, then it wouldn't work.
First, the soul of the person who's being revived must be of a certain strength.
Second, the soul must be in tip top condition.
Third, the caster of the resurrection spell must be at least [X Class]. The higher the [Class] the higher the success rate of the resurrection.
Fourth, the body of the person who you want to revive must be properly reserved.
Sixth, the person you want to revive must be willing to give up two [Classes] worth of strength to even attempt the resurrection.
Marco already failed two of these criteria.
His body was damaged, and his soul wasn't retrieved in time and was experiencing erosion.
The longer it takes to retrieve his soul, the more damaged it will get.
Currently, Kimiko and Celina were the only ones who could've retrieved and reserved Marco's soul. They were also the only ones who could revive someone in the kingdom.
This was because they were death goddesses, and users of soul magic.
Naturally, Kimiko saw when Celina retrieved Dario's soul.
If she wanted to, she could've prevented his safe resurrection. Or even destroyed his soul.
However, Celina was her sister. She couldn't bring herself to make her sister hate her for stopping Dario's resurrection.
But Marco was different. Neither Kimiko or Celina owed the Saevio clan anything.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
So they wouldn't bring it upon themselves to revive him.
Especially in the conditions his body was in. If they revived him in those conditions, then they'll be weaken for a long time.
Marco wasn't nearly worth it.
Dario knew all this, that's why he could only be depressed.
His friend who followed him for over 20 years had died and left him alone.
“Okay. I'll do as you say, Grandfather.”
Since he had nothing else to lose, he might as well do what he can until he finds a new purpose.
The Demon Continent.
There's was a town near the Black Sea.
This town was extremely quiet, as if it was a ghost town.
Well, it wasn't far from it considering the streets were filled with the bodies of the townspeople.
“Hmm, so something like this happened while I was gone.”
The one who said that was a male, who was sitting on a hill of corpses.
Not much could be seen of his physical features, other than his purple and azure hair that stretched to his back.
He seem to be reading something on his electrical device.
“Gamiko Dragna the Third, huh.”
He stood up and put away the device away.
“Looks like home has really turned into an interesting place.”
He snapped his fingers and a card appeared between his between them.
The person then threw the card on the corpses he was just sitting on.
The moment his card touched the pile, it caught fire.
The fire immediately spread to all of the other corpses and they all started burning. It didn't take long before the entire town was engulfed in fire.
“Looks like I'll need to go home every once while.”
After he said that, he started walking away before vanishing completely.
The burning town was left behind.
Several hours later, the entire town was burnt to the ground.
The only thing that was left in its place, was a red joker playing card.
Night Continent.
In a Black Forest, a black haired, tanned skinned man laid on the ground chewing on a human arm, while staring at the black sky.
This man was World Eater Killo.
“A king, huh?”
He mumbled to himself.
“Not a bad start, if I say so myself.”
There was a excited smile on his face.
He sat up and looked at the person in front him.
“What do you think, Ringo?”
In front of Killo was an elderly man dressed in a white suit with a cane in his hands.
This was the man who called himself Ringo. A decade ago he went by the name Klick.
He's the man who brought Hina, Sora, and Ace together. He was also the man who brainwashed them to approach Miko and befriend him.
“It's a great start in my opinion.”
He said with a smile.
“This Miko surely has a bright future.”
“The brighter the future, the better the taste.”
Killo said and licked his lips.
“Since you missed your chance to kill him, the next time you meet you might be the one who ends up getting eaten.”
Ringing had a mischievous expression on his wrinkled face.
Killo frowned.
“You might be right. But that's not important right now.”
He started glaring at Ringo.
“What is your reason for coming here?”
“Noah, said it's time to come back.”
“Noah? I don't remember being his bitch. So how can he tell me what to do?”
“He's not ordering you, he's just following your agreement with each other. You don't plan on going back on your word, right?”
Killo remained silently for a while before saying-
“Fine. I'll do what he says for now. But I'll devour him and you if you order me again.”
Ringo showed a calm smile when he heard that.
“Don't worry. As long as you return to Genesis nothing else matters.”
Location Unknown.
In a place that was so odd that it looked like it existed outside of the laws of the universe, there was a single black palace.
This palace was incredibly huge. In fact, it was the size of a country.
It had farms, houses, and lots of statues surrounding it.
There were a lot of black haired, and red eyed people walking around, chatting, or working.
All of these people were demons.
There were some happily attending to some statues.
The statues were of a terrifying but majestic warrior. Anyone could tell from the looks on the people's face when they look at the statue, that they worshipped this person.
There were some statues of him sitting on a throne, some with him killing enemies, and some of him riding a dragon.
There were lot of statues displaying his majesty.
*Rumble!*
Suddenly, the entire palace started shaking like it was experiencing an earthquake.
But that wasn't the case. It was impossible for this palace to have an earthquake. After all, there was no earth to shake.
“What's happening?!”
The people started panicking.
This was the first time they've ever experienced something like this.
*Flash!*
Red lightning started flashing in the dark skies, which further frightened the people.
“What's happening?! Is the world coming to an end?!”
A child cried out.
His cry triggered even more panic.
“Everyone, calm down!”
Suddenly a shout resounded throughout the palace.
The image of a robed woman appeared in the sky.
“Priestess!”
“It's the Priestess!”
The panicking people immediately calm down and bowed down in servitude towards the image in the sky.
“My people, rejoice! The Lord has finally awaken from his slumber!”
“?!”
The Priestess words shocked everyone who heard them.
Suddenly a surge of emotions swelled up in them.
“The Lord!”
Thousands of people started crying tears of joy, some even knelt down and prayed.
You would think that a god had descended on the mortal realm.
“The Lord will address his people when time is right, for now he wishes to rest.”
Said the Priestess.
Her image then disappeared from the sky, leaving thousands of people celebrating.
At the lowest level of the palace, thousands of feet underground.
The Priestess sighed and looked at the opened-coffin not too far away from her. The coffin was made of beautiful black stones, and sparkling red rubies.
The Priestess removed the robe she was wearing and showed her features.
She had beautiful silky black hair with red endings.
She had glossy red demonic eyes, and a stunning face.
She also had a figure that could tempt even the purest of men to chase her.
The Priestess looked towards the two robed men standing near the coffin.
“How is our father?”
She asked.
“His awakening is only a few moments away, my sister.”
One of the men answered.
“I see.”
The Priestess walked up to coffin and looked inside.
Laying there was an extremely handsome young man.
He had long black hair that turned red halfway down. He laid naked in the coffin, so his well tone muscles were on full display. His skin was fair, but he had a long scar across his chest. Even though he was extremely handsome, he had a frightening expression on his face. As if he could destroy the world with a wave of his hands.
Looking at this man caused a surge of emotions to swell up in the Priestess.
She couldn't control herself, and stretched her hand out to touch his face.
“?!”
However, her hand was caught by a hand before she could touch him. The hand belonged to the man.
His eyelids slowly opened and revealed his red demonic eyes.
He looked at the woman for a while with anger and strong bloodlust.
The Priestess literally felt her body being destroyed by his glare. Blood even started leaking from the corners of her mouth.
However, the anger in the man's eyes suddenly vanished and a look of astonishment replaced it.
“Are you Florin?”
The Priestess nodded her head.
“Yes, I am Father.”
When he heard that, the man released her hand.
“I see. You've grown.”
He sat up and noticed the men.
“Liam and Axel?”
The robed men removed their robes and showed a face quite similar to man's, but also like Florin’s.
“It's great to see you awake again, father.”
The two knelt and said. Florin also joined them.
“Rise my children. What parent gets pleasure from his children kneeling in front of him?”
The man got out of the casket.
The moment his feet touched the ground, his body was clothed in black and gold robes.
Florin and her brothers listened to him and got their feet.
The man smiled when he saw that.
“Now, tell me. How long have I been asleep?”
“Over 10,000 years, Father.”
“Is that so?”
Despite finding out that he was asleep for so long, the man didn't seem bothered.
“Then what about Augustus? If it's been 10,000 years he should've been back by now. I hope he didn't start killing off those bastards yet. He can have Zeus, but Lucifer’s mine.”
Florin and her brothers had a complex expression on their faces when they heard that.
“….About that father. Uncle Augustus has been dead for a very long time.”
Said Florin.
“I know that.”
Even so, the man remained unbothered.
“What I'm asking about is if he had already been reborn? The plan was for him to come back around this time.”
Florin was surprised when she heard that.
“I'm sorry, father. There haven't been any news of Uncle Augustus in millennia.”
The man was finally shaken when he heard that.
“What? That's impossible. He's supposed to be back from the Void Realm already.”
The man then started mumbling to himself.
“Wait, did something go wrong while I was asleep? Did Rias messed up somewhere? No, Augustus is her beloved pupil and lover she wouldn't have mess up even if it killed her.”
The man continued to ponder.
“Then could it be Tiamat?.....No, she never knew about this plan. Besides even if she found out, she would be last person to mess it up…..Then could it be Zeus? Or….”
A look of realization appeared in his eyes.
“Riamante! That motherfucker is this fucking with us!”
He suddenly flew in a fit of rage.
“Florin, you and your brothers go see if you can find the others! They should be hibernating somewhere like me! I'll come back when you find them!”
“Wait, Father! Where are you going?!”
Florin asked.
“To the Void Realm! I need to verify something with Rias as well as recuperate!”
He swung his hand and a rip in space appeared in front of him.
“I'll be back in a couple years!”
Without waiting for Florin to respond, he jumped in and disappeared.
She stood dumbfounded with her brothers.
Ajax Diabolus.
Son of Lucifer and an unknown goddess. He was the first natural born Demonic God.
Righthand of Augustus Dragna, and one of his Five Divine Generals.
By far the Strongest Person alive, outside of the Higher Beings.
Dragna Royal Palace.
Couple days after winning the Throne Wars, Miko decided to take his first stroll through the palace.
“Wow! This place is huge!”
Said Tessa.
Miko brought along his family and friends with him to see the palace.
After all this is where they'll stay most of the time.
“Meh. I like the Xia palace better.”
Said Momo.
She and Ravel also came along.
“I haven't been here in forever! Everything is so different now!”
Said Ravel as she looked around.
The only reason she's allowed outside of Nero's reach, was because Miko was with her.
“I can't wait for those noble parties, so that I can start mingling with those aristocratic woman!”
Said Ace.
He and Sora started laughing together.
The two finally felt like their years of torture were over.
“Hey, this part of the palace is still the same as how I remembered it!”
Ravel said excitedly.
She ran forward and pointed at a hallway.
“There should be a portrait of grandfather around there!”
She pointed down the hall.
“Augustus?”
Miko was surprised to hear that.
“Ravel, take us to see it.”
(Miko, don't go down that hall.)
Tiamat suddenly said in his head.
“Why? I want to see what he looks like.”
(Just don’t go down there.)
Tiamat's tone was a little bit flustered.
However, that just piqued Miko's interest further.
“Lets go, Ravel.”
(Miko!)
“Sorry but I’m really interested in seeing what he looks like.”
Saying that, he ignored Tiamat's pleading voice and went down the hall with everyone.
Couple minutes later they reached the end of the hall.
“It's here!”
Ravel pointed at a painting.
(Miko, don't look!)
Miko ignored her and looked at the painting.
“…..?!”
“So that's Augustus? He's really handsome.”
Said Momo.
“Too handsome.”
Said Ace with a jealous tone.
“I can see how Tiamat fell for him.”
Said Sora.
Everyone started stating their opinion of the portrait of Augustus.
All of them except Miko.
He stared at the portrait with great shock.
Augustus was as handsome as the others said.
He had light brown skin, blue eyes, and purple hair. His face looked like it could capture the hearts of countless women. Whether goddesses or mortals.
However, that wasn't what shocked Miko.
“…….Me?”
That's right. Other than the hair and eye color, Augustus looked like him (Logan) if had actually cared about his appearance.
*Pulse!*
“Ugh?!”
Miko suddenly felt an intense pain in his head. The pain soon intensified by a hundred folds.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!”
“Miko?!”
To everyone's surprise Miko suddenly let out an agonizing scream, and held his head.
“AHHHHHH?!”
*Boom!*
He started slamming his head on the floor like he had lost his mind.
“Grab him!”
Momo and Ravel suddenly grabbed Miko's hands that he started to use to tear himself apart.
“AHHHHH?!”
However, they were suddenly hurled by one swing of Miko's arm.
He started to show an unbelievable strength.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!”
His agonizing screams caused the entire palace to shake.
“What's happening?!”
Rouge and Nero suddenly appeared in the hall.
They saw everyone laying on the floor with heavy wounds on them. Only Miko was still standing.
His eyes, ears, mouth, and nose were bleeding.
Seeing him like this, Nero rushed to restrain him.
*Boom!*
However, Miko's strength caught him off guard.
Nero was thrown back to where he came, like he was a toy.
This shocked Rouge. He didn't move towards Miko and only observed him.
“What happened to him for him to be experiencing so much pain?”
He mumbled.
A strange symbol appeared on Miko's neck and started glowing. A murky grey aura started leaking from his body.
It even looked like his skin was slowly peeling away.
Rouge decided that he couldn't stand still and watch this any further, and decided to act.
*Flash!*
However, the moment he was going to move a golden light flashed in front of Miko.
Suddenly a beautiful woman appeared and embraced him.
Rouge recognize this woman, it was his grandmother Tiamat.
“It's okay. I'm here. Everything's fine.”
Tiamat spoke with a soothing voice, while tears fell from her eyes.
“I'm fine. There's no one trying to hurt us anymore.”
“Ah…Ah…Ah”
Miko suddenly started to calm down, and the symbol and the murky aura disappeared as well.
He slowing looked at Tiamat.
“…Tia?”
After saying that, he fainted in her arms.
Tiamat knelt down and held him gently in her arms, as she cried.
Rouge who watched all this, was completely dumbfounded.
“………Just what is going on here?”
