*BOOM!*
The Silver Continent was still in a war driven state with both the Eastern and Northern Regions reduced to a gigantic battlefield filled with corpses of all kinds of creatures.
Currently in the Eastern Region, a team consisting of Kimiko, Sasha, and Tessa were engaging an army of oni.
*BOOM!*
Kimiko lifted her hand in the air and dozens of carnivorous plants emerged from the ground and began to devour the oni.
“Insolent plants!”
That’s when two swordsmen charged out of the army and cut the plants to bits.
Kimiko narrowed her eyes when she saw these swordsmen. They weren’t oni but looked human, but as a goddess of death Kimiko wasn't fooled.
“These two are spirits?”
She said.
“I see. So even the warriors of the dead are now coming out.”
The swordsmen looked at her and pointed their swords at her.
“Insolent wench! We the warriors of Wakoku will slay you!”
“Wench?”
Her right eye twitched with anger
“Calm down, Mama. Don’t let it get to you.”
Sasha appeared beside her and quickly tried to quell her anger.
“I’m fine. It’s just that fighting for so long is starting to get to me.”
Kimiko answered.
‘But still, dead warriors of Wakoku, huh. Thinking about it, Jigoku and Yomi should be their respective underworlds.’
She thought.
Each mythology has it respective underworld, that is believed to be where the dead of their native lands go to. Since Jigoku and Yomi were the two underworlds in Buddhism and Shintoism, which were the native religions of the Japanese people, the dead from Wakoku, which was this world’s version of Japan, would naturally go to those two underworlds as well.
‘Does that mean that the dead warriors from Wakoku would come here? Even those who fought and died in the War For supremacy?’
Thinking of all the monsters that died for Wakoku during the war made Kimiko’s body drench in cold sweat.
“This might a serious problem.”
She said.
The two swordsmen who cut her man-eating plants were eyeing her and Sasha. They were watching their every movements.
‘Thankfully these two don’t seem to be from the infamous Heaven’s Imperial Force which gave even gods like Zeus and Odin a hard time.’
Kimiko said after evaluating them.
“Okay, Sasha. You and Tessa go fight those two. Consider it training for what’s to come.”
“Alright, Mama.”
Sasha turned around and called for Tessa who was still slaughtering Oni soldiers.
“Tessa! Let’s go!”
“Alright, mama!”
After that, the two charged at the two swordsmen. Kimiko watched their battle as she thought about something.
“If the spirits in Jigoku and Yomi are going to appear, what about those in Tartarus like Typhon and other famous Greek monsters and sinners?”
Southern Region.
Julio Zebul, the one responsible for releasing hell on earth was sitting on a throne. In front of him were various monsters from the three hells.
“Did you kill anyone from the Dragna Clan or anyone from the Eastern Region like I told you to?”
He asked.
“No, my lord. The enemy is too strong for people of our level. We’ll have to wait for those like the titans, cyclops, the generals of Yomi, and the remaining kings of Jigoku.”
A monster replied.
“I see. I didn’t want them to get involve because of my inability to control them.”
Julio mumbled to himself.
“what is the status of that ‘one’?”
"That one? Ah.”
The monster figured out who he is referring to.
“We don’t know, My lord. That being is in the deepest pits of Tartarus whether he comes out or not isn’t something we can predict.”
It answered.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have open all three hells all at once….”
Julio said.
Now that a month has passed, his anger has subdued and he could think clearly again.
“Thinking about it, I might have doom this world by doing so. I mean, I originally planned on using them in the final war after all.”
He thought about it some more and eventually shrugged.
“Nothing can be done about it now. I’ll just go with the flow.”
He said.
“Even so….”
He started pondering something.
“Just where has Miko disappeared to? There’s been no sightings of him in a month.”
He narrowed his eyes.
“I have a bad feeling about this. I’ll have to think up backup plans and develop some escape routes just to be safe.”
He said.
“The biggest question is where is that damn joker?”
Eastern Region, sea of lava that was once the Dragna country.
The sea of lava that was motionless like a calm sea, suddenly had ripples forming in it. These ripples soon turned into waves, before the lava started to open up and reveal a hole that led straight to the bottom.
Someone was seen slowly floating out of this hole. This person was Miko.
“Seriously, all the hard work I put into this country just vanished like that.”
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
He said.
“Well, you can always rebuild it somewhere else.”
Tia appeared beside him and said.
“You’re gonna own the entire continent after all. You can create a bigger Dragna country.”
Said Regis.
“Oh! I want a gigantic gold statue of myself!”
Ishma excitedly shouted.
“I don’t have money to waste on something as stupid as that.”
Miko replied.
He looked around for a bit and eventually stopped, facing east.
“So everyone is in the Eastern Region fighting against the Seven Moon Alliance?”
He smiled.
“This good.”
He turned towards the west.
“I guess I’ll go that way.”
After he said that he turned into his dragon form and flew towards the west.
“Why did you take this form?”
Regis asked.
“Because with all these monsters flying around I’ll blend in if I too become a monster.”
Miko replied.
“Once I reach the west, I’ll act like I came from one of the three hells and secretly infiltrate the enemy ranks and gather information on the western region and by extension Julio Zebul who resides in the south.”
“After that?”
Miko showed a savage smile.
“After that, we can run wild.”
He said.
“Ah, I forgot.”
He suddenly stopped.
“Lahmu, Bašmu, and Sirrush. You three return to your respective clans and tell them that I’m leaving the east to them, I’ll handle the west.”
“Yes.”
Three balls of light left Miko’s body and immediately flew towards the east.
“While everyone’s attention is on the east, I’ll attack the west. By the time Julio Zebul figure out what’s going on, he’ll be force to choose.”
Miko lifted both arms in front of him. He lifted the right.
“Either abandon the attack on the east to back up the west…”
He lifted the left.
“Or abandon the west to prevent us from taking the east when it falls.”
Miko smiled.
“Either way, he can’t stop us from obtaining one Region. Well, that’s what he’ll think anyway. As a result, the war will immediately reach the point where two different halves of the continent will go at it.”
He laughed loudly and then flew towards the west with a smile on his face.
He arrived at the border of the western region after flying for a while. There he saw a company of soldiers, both humans and monsters, guarding it. He immediately activated Stealth Camouflage and approached them.
Even though he could try to slip in, Miko wasn’t going to ignore the possibility of there being Qi users among them, who could detect him.
He stopped and slowly spread out his senses, searching for a hole in their defense. He quickly found a couple, but he didn’t go for those because he quickly deduced that those were deliberate holes to bait the enemy.
He didn’t intend to fall for their trap, and searched for a true opening. He didn’t rush it. He did it slowly and carefully. After some time, he found an opening.
It was when the soldiers were switching posts with a fresh replacement. There was a hole in the defense in between switches that last for little under a minute. After realizing that, Miko decided to observe the borders some more to see if their defense had an other holes in them. After confirming that they weren’t none, Miko patiently waited for the next switch.
After waiting for a few hours, a switch finally happened. Miko didn’t waste any time and slipped through. Once he was inside the region, Miko made himself visible again and quickly blend into the crowd.
Elsewhere.
“Huh? Miko’s back?”
Alexus said.
He was currently leading his group in developing some weapons of mass destruction to be used in the war. There were a couple giant robots some distance away from him that came in all shapes and forms.
He looked at Sirrush who reported it.
“What did he say?”
“He said that he’s leaving the east to you, he’s heading into the west.”
Sirrush answered as she looked at all the weapons that Alexus and the Tertitus Branch were developing.
“Without you?”
Alexus asked.
“He’s going there alone.”
“Alone?”
Echo asked with a confused expression after receiving the report of Miko’s return from Lahmu.
She was currently dressed in boxing attire and was in the middle of using a gigantic turtle monster with three heads as a sandbag. She was using it to train her fists.
“Why alone? Will he be alright?”
Lahmu looked around at all the dead monsters with giant fist marks all over their corpses. They were piled on top of each other like they were garbage.
“Some stuff happened, but Miko regain his emotions.”
“He regain his emotions?”
Said Andreas who was stepping on the head of a monk.
“Yeah, I don’t know the details myself since I wasn’t there, but according to my siblings who were there he suddenly got them back out of nowhere.”
Answered Mušma.
“Eat shit, Buddhist Freaks!”
Andreas shouted as he fired his rifle at the monks from the Buddhist Alliance.
“Mediate on this!”
He threw up his middle finger while firing at them. He turned back to Mušma.
“What does him getting back his emotions have to do with his survival in the west though?”
“Ah, that’s the thing. According to my siblings, he got hold of something really crazy.”
“Oh, and what’s that?”
Rouge asked.
He was currently leading the charge on the Seven Moon Alliance stronghold, using the empire’s army and his branch.
“It’s a power granted to him by something called The Will. Unfortunately, we don’t know what kind of power it is, but I can tell that it’s very powerful.”
“Powerful huh?”
Nero smiled after hearing what gallu said.
“Then we can’t afford to fall behind then.”
He said as he got out of a pool of lava that he was using as a hot tub.
“Junior, get Ravel and Falcon.”
He called out to Nova, who roasting a fire breathing chicken monster, over a volcano. When he got called upon, Nova was about to flip the chicken that had a gigantic spear impaled through it like a cooking rod.
“After I finish this.”
Nova said as he flipped the bird.
Nero smiled as lava dripped off his skin and onto the ground.
“It’s time to take this a bit more seriously.”
Elsewhere.
“What? Miko got his emotions back?”
Hina asked in surprised.
“Yeah. I just got the word from Momo.”
Luka answered.
“Alright!”
Hina and others cheered.
“But how?”
Jin asked.
“Does it matter? The fact that he’s back to how he was, then its fine.”
Said Ace.
“Back to how he was? Do you really think that’s possible after everything that happened during this war?”
Sora said.
“He’s got a point. Miko was already hotheaded and reckless before the war, now that he’s lost so much can he really act the same?”
Asked Kaido.
“There’s a high chance that he’s become an even more dangerous monster than he was before.”
“Why do you have to be so negative?”
Asked Ace.
“It’s not being negative, it’s being realistic.”
Kaido answered.
“Either way, whether Miko has changed or not and if that change is good, is something we’ll find out with time.”
Said Luka.
Western Region.
Inside a soldier camp of the hell army, there was an abandon warehouse which was used to store magic stones before it was bought by Julio when he was taking over the region.
Inside this warehouse was a man with his limbs chained a lump of iron. This man was breathing heavily and was covered in his own blood.
“Please….I don’t know anything..”
The man pleaded to his captors.
“Don’t know anything?”
His captor, Miko smiled at him.
“That’s what the first dozen officers said at first.”
He pointed to his side, causing the man to look despite knowing what horror he’ll see.
There he saw furnitures like chairs, tables, lamps, etc. However, these furnitures weren’t made of wood. They were made with the body parts of Miko’s torture victims.
Even the chair that he sat on was made from a woman.
“The soft body of a woman sure does wonders when used as a chair.”
Miko said while rubbing the seat as if admiring how it felt.
“Please! Please don’t kill me! I don’t know anything, I swear!”
The man screamed.
“Regis.”
“Yes.”
Being called upon, Regis walked out of the shadows and stood in front of the man completely stained with blood. Seeing her made the man screamed out in terror.
“How’s the others coming along? Are they finally feeling like talking?”
Miko asked, unmoved by Regis bloody appearance.
“Yes. After Ishma started skinning them alive, they started talking.”
Ishma responded.
“Anything useful?”
“Yeah. We got some really good info.”
Miko smiled.
“I see. Keep going, you might even learn some more stuff that can come in handy.”
“Alright.”
After she responded, Regis slowly meld into the darkness as if she was never there in the first place.
“Now then.”
Miko stood up and walked over to the man.
“It seems that your value has lessen quite significantly.”
Miko placed his hand on the man’s cheek. The man flinched when he felt Miko’s scaly hands.
“But don’t worry, I have something else you’ll be good for.”
After Miko said that, he flipped the lump of metal the man was chained to and made it rest on the ground. This way, the man was facing the ceiling. Miko looked down on him with a gentle smile.
“You may not have any value as a person, but you’ll definitely have value as a test sample.”
The man watched in horror as Miko started to put on two gloves on his hand.
“You see, recently I’ve become interested in the human anatomy. I’ve tried reading books but it just wouldn’t connect, the same thing with videos.”
Miko turned his back to the man and began drawing something close to him.
“After a while, I came up with the idea of live dissections. I mean, you know what they say.”
Miko turn around and pushed a table next to the man.
“The best way to learn about something is to tear it apart and put it back together again.”
When the man looked on the table, he saw all kinds of tools ranging from scalpels to chainsaws. All dripping with blood.
“You must forgive my dirty tools. I’ve been using them so much that cleaning them every time became a hassle, so I’ve stopped cleaning them all together.”
Hearing Miko say that and seeing the tools, the man completely broke down and started crying.
“I don’t know anything! I swear!”
“Hm? I thought we already established that.”
Miko simply replied.
“Anyway, after dissecting a couple dozen humans I gained a better understanding of how humans work. However, I soon came across another problem. I started to be curious about the anatomy of other races.”
The man started crying, that was because he wasn’t human.
“After becoming curious, I stopped capturing human soldiers and focused on other races.”
Miko took up a knife.
“You’re a beastman right? I’ve dissected 8 beastmen today and I realized that different beastmen have different make ups.”
Miko showed an excited smile.
“I wonder what surprises your body holds?”
Soon after the man’s screams along with Miko’s excited child-like voice echoed through the warehouse.
It was like this that Miko began to slowly but surely express the deep anger and madness raging inside of him.
At this time, no one had yet to know.
Just what kind of horrors will come from his abyssal rage.
