Sami was still frozen in place like a statue with a horrified expression on his face even when the message from Gaia echoed in coliseum.
80%.
Over 80% of a district was destroyed in an instant. Another unbelievable event just occurred in front of everyone’s eyes.
Ishma continued to float in the air with a proud look on her face
“It’s still not as powerful as it used to be, but I’m satisfied.”
She casually said.
Jun looked at Miko with a shocked expression.
He knew that Miko intended to pick a fight with Luna from the moment he asked where the 14th District was located, but he didn’t think he would attack immediately while still in the middle of the tournament.
Attacking the 14th District was a clear declaration of war by Miko.
Not only that, even though he didn’t know what Miko did to Sami he was sure that he was suffering a fate far worse than death.
He was certain that Luna wouldn’t be happy about her protégé suffering such a fate until the day he die.
A war was undoubtedly unavoidable.
He shook his head and disregard such thoughts.
Even if a war between Miko and Luna was to break out it didn’t have anything to do with him.
“The match was decided in an instant! The winner is Gamiko Dragna!”
He announced with an excited tone.
The crowd didn’t cheer; they believed that if they cheered it would be like they supported Miko’s actions, and if they looked like they supported him it would look like they were mocking Luna Isabel and they can’t afford to do that.
Miko didn’t care for the crowd’s cheers so their silence didn’t bother him in the least.
He quietly left the stage with Sami’s statue still on it.
“Is that alright?”
Regis asked.
She was talking about leaving Sami like that and not taking him hostage.
“It’s fine. That thing is no longer a person, so it would have no value as a hostage.”
“…..If you say so.”
Regis didn’t refute Miko and no longer cared about Sami’s existence.
She was however happy to see Miko in a slightly better mood.
The stifling aura he was giving off had disappeared and there was a small smile on his face.
After leaving the stage he took a seat in the waiting area as if waiting on the tournament to continue.
Jun saw that and wasted no time to resume the tournament.
The fights after Miko’s were obviously awkward because the contestants were distracted by the events they witnessed today. This caused the tournament to become a bit underwhelming.
A lot of contestants were distracted for too long and lost their lives.
There were even a match were both opponent killed each other because they got careless.
The whole event became one chaotic mess rather than a tournament.
Another notable event was Kaido’s absence.
When it came around for him to fight, he was a no show.
This confused a lot of people including Miko.
Kaido was previously hyped up as someone who could contend both Miko and Flow so the crowd were looking forward to see him face one of them in the finals but now he was a no show.
This made a lot of people disappointed.
“He was with me just earlier, but I didn’t even sense him leaving the coliseum. However now I can’t even sense him in the entire 7th District…..I wonder if something went wrong?”
Miko mumbled to himself.
He made a priority to search for Kaido after the tournament ended. He wanted to know what made him leave so suddenly.
“Well, the only thing that could make him leave like that would be Hana.”
Miko suddenly had a bad feeling after saying that.
The tournament went on as everyone expected it to.
Anytime it was Miko’s or Flow’s turn to fight, their opponents would forfeit before the match started.
The rest of the tournament was dominated by both previous and current Thrones. Other than that there was a high death rate in the tournament.
By the time it reached the semi-finals over 60% of the contestants died. The ones that survived were either skill enough to prevent their death or smart enough to know when to quit.
In the semi finals Miko stood on the battle field by himself with a slight smile on his face.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“It’s just in that Gamiko dragnas opponent has forfeited, so he advances to the finals automatically!”
Jun announced.
The crowd naturally expected this so there weren’t anyone surprised among them.
Miko walked off the stage without a change in expression.
The next match was Flow verse the 3rd Throne.
Just like with Miko’s match Flow’s opponent forfeited and didn’t even bother to take the stage to do so.
Flow was left standing in the middle of the field with excited smile on his face.
The reason for his smile was obvious. The next match will be the finals, and his opponent would be Miko.
When Miko saw that he would be fighting Flow he couldn’t help but to smile.
He smiled for two reasons.
One, this was his final fight at this academy before he could leave it forever.
Two, Flow needed to be thought what happens to those who cross his path.
Before jun could announce the start of the finals Miko jumped onto the field and stood directly in front of Flow.
Flow didn’t back down and stared him directly in the eyes.
The tension between the two was so thick that everyone subconsciously stopped breathing and waited for them to make a move.
“Are you going to run like the others?”
Miko suddenly asked.
“What a coincidence. I was just about to ask you the same thing. “
Flow replied with a smile.
Miko gave a haughty laugh in response.
“Father, you can signal the start of the finals now.”
Said Flow.
Jun nodded.
“Now’s time for the event everyone has been waiting for! The Ranking Tournament Finals!”
The crowd started cheering excitedly.
After this match they would finally know who was stronger, their star of hope or the tyrant that’s been making them live in fear since his arrival.
There were countless people hoping that Flow would put an end to Miko, but there were also those who thought that it was hopeless and Flow couldn’t hope to win.
Either way, they’re about to find out.
“Match Start!”
With Jun’s announcement the crowd immediately muted themselves.
“Normally, I would test the waters before going all out but not this time.”
*Boom!*
An overwhelming amount of fire magic power burst out from within Miko. It then returned through his pores.
His shoulde-length hair instantly turned into a blazing flame that flowed down to his feet.
His skin was covered by burning red scales, he grew Flame wings and a tail. Finally he grew a pair of fire horns.
“Dragonite Elemental Form: Mode Fire.”
This was Dragonite 2 or Dragonite Elemental Form created by Luka.
Before he left, Miko asked her the secret behind it.
He found out that the main difference between it and the normal Dragonite was that the user had to use Elemental magic rather than raw mana to alter their dragon cells and push them to the limit.
Just like it’s predecessor, the user had to be careful to not destroy their heart when absorbing the magic into their cells.
Miko also discovered that more someone mastered this technique the closer they would become to a specific element.
Flow saw Miko’s Dragonite and couldn’t help but to be surprised.
He let his guard down which he immediately regretted.
*Boom!*
He suddenly felt a scorching sensation in his midsection.
He looked down and saw Miko’s arm sinking his stomach as if burning through him.
He swung his arm.
*Boom!*
However before his arm could reach Miko, he was hit with an uppercut.
“Guah?!”
He felt his chin burning as he was lifted into the air.
He watched as Miko’s arm suddenly grew into that of a giant fire fist.
“Agni’s Fist!”
*Boom!*
Flow was hit by a gigantic fist made of fire which caused him to fly back, cutting through the air like a bullet.
*Boom!*
He crashed into the boundary that protected the audience.
His entire body was on fire. Even his organs felt like they were being cooked.
He looked and saw Miko surrounded by a burning aura. The aura then suddenly grew until it looked like he was surrounded by a giant flame.
Miko then held his hand out, and the flames suddenly condensed into an orb.
“Orb Of Logi.”
He threw it at Flow like a baseball.
“Shit!”
Flow quickly covered himself with water and extinguished the flames that were burning him.
He threw his hands to the sides where water started swirling in the air like a whirlpool. He brought the whirlpools in front of him.
“Aquatic Devourer!”
The whirlpools combined and turned into one giant vortex of water.
Meanwhile the orb thrown by Miko suddenly grew so large that it looked like a miniature sun.
*Boom!*
The fire clashed with the water and caused a burst of steam to spread out.
Flow saw something like a human-sized fireball flying towards him. He immediately covered his fist in water and made it spin like a drill.
*Boom!*
His fist clashed with the fireball and the shockwave given off blew away the steam covering the field.
With visibility returned, the crowd could see Flow’s fist clashing with Miko’s face.
“Burst!”
*Boom!*
Water suddenly shot through Miko’s jaw as if it was burst open by a bullet.
Miko’s vision blurred and his senses was plunged into chaos, and he couldn’t tell up from down.
Flow took that opening and slammed his leg on Miko’s neck aiming to break it.
However-
“Cough?!”
He once again felt a burning sensation in his stomach; but this time it was accompanied by a piercing sensation as well.
He suddenly found himself dangling in the air with a fire spike in his gut.
He looked down and saw Miko fixing his neck with a creak.
He then looked at Flow and snapped his fingers and the spike transformed into serpentine dragon which started chewing on Flow’s body like a toy.
Flow screamed and water appeared and extinguished the dragon.
He landed on the ground breathing heavily while holding his stomach wound.
“Shit. The fire already closed it when it burnt my flesh.”
He said as he glared at Miko.
The crowd who was watching the exchange between them were speechless.
This was pure domination.
They barely fought for five minutes but Flow already looked like he was at death door.
Not only that, Flow was only able to land two clean hits on Miko, while he himself was being treated like firewood. He was completely powerless against Miko.
This showed the difference between the two.
Jun watched all of this with a sour expression.
He knew that this would happen but he still couldn’t help but to feel upset witnessing his son get his ass kicked.
“Looks like Flow will have no choice but to use that.”
He mumbled to himself.
Flow’s shirt had already turned to ashes so he was now shirtless.
The tattoo of the mermaid silhouette on his chest was the only thing that didn’t receive a single burn in this battle. Flow subconsciously placed his hand on it while glaring at Miko.
Miko noticed this tattoo and realized that he was getting a similar sensation from it.
He suddenly became interested in it.
He turned into a ball of flames and appeared in front of Flow. He was greeted by a punch by Flow.
Miko dodged it and grabbed his throat.
“The undefeated king of the academy. 1st Throne and the Deep Waters King.”
He squeezed Flow’s neck.
“This is truly disappointing for someone with titles like those.”
He looked at the tattoo.
“But I take it that there’s more to you that what you’ve shown.”
Miko suddenly released his throat and hold up a single finger.
“I’ll give one chance to make this fight less disappointing.”
“What?”
*Boom!*
Miko suddenly kicked Flow over to the other side of the field.
Flow held his stomach and coughed up blood.
“This fight is too boring. Change that or die.”
He said as he looked at Flow like he was garbage on the street.
“I’ve been looking forward to taking the top spot for so long, so if it was to end like this it would be too anticlimactic.”
He pointed at the tattoo.
“Use it.”
A cold glint appeared in his eyes.
“This isn’t a suggestion. This is an order.”
Flow’s face became flushed with anger.
Never in his life has he been so humiliated, and in front of the whole city at that.
“Flow!”
He looked up at his father who suddenly shouted his name.
“Use it! It’s the only way for you to survive!”
His heart clenched when he saw the desperation on his father’s face.
“Have I been backed into corner so far that even my parent is worried about me?”
He said as he clenched his tattoo.
“Fine! I’ll use it! But you better not regret it!”
He stood up and the mermaid silhouette started glowing.
“Zodiac Parasite Suit: Model Aquarius!”
